Australian designer Naomi Goodsir has launched Corpus Equus, a new fragrance for men.
A black composition with animalistic notes, Corpus Equus pays homage to the noble and wild nature of an Arabian stallion, with his fiery temperament. Intrepid and hot-blooded with an elegant gait, he cuts through the wind, leaving behind the smell of earth, trampled by his gallop, mixed with the warm leather of his saddle which rubs on his back.
The notes feature rose, amber, birch, cedar, incense, leather, musk, patchouli and smoked wood.
Naomi Goodsir Corpus Equus is available at Nose in France, in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

The notes sounds like it could be a gorgeous autumn perfume.
I enjoy Naomi’s work.
Me too! This is very exciting, can wait to smell what they did with this one.
Agree! It is not on her website yet, and no idea when it will reach other countries…
And one if the wonderful things about her is that she doesn’t release 5 perfumes a year, like other brands but keep it minimal.
Even those from her line, that doesn’t suit be, I still like.
Very much looking forward to it as well, I like most of the collection.
I love the name. AND the notes.
Sold 😉
Tried this today at a local niche boutique. I didn’t know the name, notes, or concept when sniffing for the first time and it surprised me to read here that it’s described as an “animalic” fragrance as I didn’t really read this as such. It’s really all about the smokey leather which reminded me somewhat of her Bois d’Ascese. Eventually, the leather evolves to become more fuzzy/smooth. It’s never quite as brashly challenging/animalic as scents with similar concepts (Peau de Bete by Liquides Imaginaires, for instance). However, I will need to try on skin since I assume a lot of facets are lost on paper.
I love the bottle and the notes. Must try!
