The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 6 August 2021 5 Comments

From Lush, Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioning hair perfume: "You'll jump for joy at how lovely your hair is after giving this vegan conditioner a go: it works wonderfully on bleached and over-processed hair, and on everyone else too, as it's rich and moisturizing but doesn't weigh hair down. A rose water, orange blossom water and almond milk base softens, beautifies and conditions hair, and orange flower absolute, rosewood and grapefruit oils perfume your hair to make you feel Happy Happy all day long." In 4 sizes, $15 - $75.

I have used this off and on for years. I have curly dry hair and I’d say it works so so as a conditioner. But the scent? Ahhhhhhh…. that’s what kept me coming back. Was it d/c’ed for a while?

The scent sounds wonderful. But I have the same type of hair as you. And of course, would prefer one that is amazing rather than so-so. Hard to have it all!

I have kinky curly hair, and agreed- it was so-so as a conditioner, so I mixed with plain deep conditioner from Cantu ( it has a neutral scent). I would use Cantu first, then finish with HHJJ.

That seems to be the consensus of the reviews on the Lush site too!

As a fellow curly girl, I wish Deva Curl would team up with Lush to get some of the latter’s scents into the former’s products!
