It’s Hump Day, Coast Guard Day and Louis Armstrong's birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Tauer Perfumes L'Eau.
Reminder: on 8/6 we're celebrating Happiness Happens Month. Wear a happy fragrance, and tell us about something that's made you happy recently.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

What a lovely, yet melancholy picture.
Today will be one of the Chanel Eau – not sure yet.
Can anyone tell me if le labo Vanilla 44 is the best? the worst? a yawner? I am tempted to get a small one during city month.
Ack, did I pick a melancholy picture for Happiness Happens month?
My review of Le Labo Vanille 44:
https://nstperfume.com/2008/01/28/vanilla-fragrances-from-guerlain-le-labo-indult/
Its lovely. happiness happens many ways. the lotus pushes through the mud. thank you for link to review!
Vanille 44 was the first city exclusive I tried and I immediately fell in love with it. Luckily, a generous NSTer got me in on a split. I’m sure you can guess who.?
To my nose, it’s more of an incense than a vanilla.
Oh well then I must get it, mtg.
Lol, I think you must.
Agree, heavy on the incense, I smelt it in it’s inspiration city Paris way back pre covid
I love incense.
A bottle of Sana Jardin Incense Water arrived at my casita today.
I haven’t smelled that one. Only the NYC one! I would say go for it! Le labo does such a great job, can’t go wrong
Apsara,
Vanille 44 is lovely and understated (a dry vanilla accompanied by woods and incense). I absolutely love it.
I hosted a split a few years ago, finished my remaining 30 mLs and purchased another bottle since. If it’s only 10 mLs or so that you are interested in, you can email me at arzeznik in the land of comcast with a dot and a net and we can discuss. That is, if you haven’t already acquired it ?
thank you kindly adanst!
I love dry vanilla and find that in JM Golden Vanilla and Vetiver.
I am ordering the city sample kit and it has a sample in there.
Oh man. Now I want it. (Look away!)
It’s beautiful, great for a rainy day.
Oh what I wouldn’t give for rain in Southern California.
I’m in Santal33 after talking about it the other day.
It’s another sunny day and it’s the last day of my 6 day weekend. Back to work tomorrow. I’m not gonna complain though because it’s been gorgeous the entire time I’ve been off and I’ve loved every minute of it. I feel recharged, refreshed, and ready to head back.
Gonna head downtown to an outdoor cafe in a bit, sip some chai and read the book that I just started: The Midnight Library. I’m just 50 pages in, but it feels like it’s gonna be a good one.?
The Midnight Library is on my TBR. Hope it’s great!
To be read? It’s good so far. I’m reading it for a bookclub with some of my coworkers.
My library’s book club is reading that for October. I’ll check it out.
It took several weeks on the reserve list for me. Not sure if your library is as busy as ours, but just a heads up.?
Yes, to be read. Mine is an Excel spreadsheet. Probably I should stop listening to book related podcasts.
It’s really been a great stretch of weather!
It really has been! Fingers crossed it continues into next week when I head Up North.???
For zip line?
Yes!?
Tauer L’Eau sounds absolutely lovely. I’m commando so far, having gotten up very early to take the trash and recycle bins out to the curb – usually Mr. G’s job, but he’s off bonding with his son and Doing Manly Things In A Manly Fashion. ? I’ll be joining apsara in Chanel later, and two things are making me very, very happy right now – one is my new computer, which arrived intact and exactly as promised), and the other is the commencement of sorely needed work on the back yard. Right now the deck is gone, and this weekend some more of the unsightliness will be dug out and removed. Progress!
Manliness happens too 🙂
I got a new computer a couple weeks ago, and yes — getting one intact that works, it is a joy, isn’t it?
Hope the back yard will turn out lovely!
Hurray for progress on back yard projects! We got a couple done this spring/summer, huge improvement though relatively small projects. One was replacing the very small “deck” and stairs outside our kitchen. The deck is just big enough for a gas grill and my planter with herbs and a hummingbird feeder. Perfect for our needs!
I’m wearing a favorite, L’Artisan Batucada. Good in hot weather, and the first full bottle of L’Artisan I ever bought.
Now I can’t remember mine! Probably La Chasse.
Mine was Premier Figuier Extreme.
My first one was Timbuktu.
LOVE Batucada! Do you get Streets Pine/Lime Splice ice blocks where you are? That’s what it reminds me of. Happy youthful memories of summer.
Yesterday I had fun at L’occitane, Since Donatella forgives I bought a small purse spray of Herbae.
On paper Herbae was awful but on skin it was very beautiful green fragrance.
She-ra mentioned fragrantica yesterday and I never go on there to read but looked up Herbae reviews and some said it reminded them of Hermes Un Jardin Sur la Toit, I have never smelled the that Jardin line so I can’t help with that, but that gives you an idea of the notes.
My main reason to visit was to try out one of the shampoo bars. We are going “glamping” for a few days this month and thought that this would be easier. What is really neat is the travel case for the shampoo bar (sold separately) when you open the case there is another case you can remove and use as a soap dish and has slits for the water drainage. I will report back if its any good!
Have fun glamping! I love Herbae, and like you, I didn’t care for it on paper but loved it on skin.
I enjoy so many L’occitane products, they have a wonderful catalog.
What are your favorites?
I love their soaps, I’ve used them for 30 years.
The 25% Shea Cream and 100% Shea Butter and hand cream is fantastic.
The Immortelle Skin oil is wonderful for winter-dry skin as is the Immortelle Face Mist.
I am loyal to my cheap caress soap but I do like there rose scented shea butter soap. It last for months!
I will look into the Immortelle skin care mist and oil, they gave me a sample of a night serum that is really nice. I trust your judgement after your recommendation of sunscreen that I love.
I thought Herbae was quite nice when I tried it in the store. Came close to purchasing it but ended up passing on it.
I love the idea of glamping. Enjoy!
I bought the purse spray and happy with it. Its different than some of their other perfumes they had to test
enjoy camping and I look forward to hearing how the shampoo bar works!
Thanks! I am going to try and save it until the trip but I really want to try it now!
My SOTD is Gucci No. 3 edp. Wafting loads of roses and oakmoss….
Worked out extra hard last night, slept like a rock. Happy National Cookie Day schmoopies…. Make mine a (GF) toffee/oatmeal.
I love this picture Robin! I am melancholy by nature ~ perhaps it’s my Slavic heritage??
Getting started early, work laptop already cracked open.
So interesting because I just did not think of it as a melancholy picture but maybe it is 🙂
I thought it was melancholy too. Art is always up for interpretation 🙂
I’m a day behind so I thought it was a teapot ?
Too funny! 🙂
Excellent!
One of the best perfumes that Gucci ever put out, IMO.
Agreed
I love No. 3 – I treasure a vintage mini I have.
Eau de Cartier, which is a nice, light, dry fragrance for a hot summer day. It doesn’t last very long, though.
Just finished The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Very sweet and charming. Highly recommend.
That looks like an enjoyable read! Thanks for mentioning it. 🙂
I have this on my list! I am on a long wait list at the library. I should just cave in buy it
Forgot to report yesterday that I wore Parisian Musc from Matiere Premiere and that it got me a couple of compliments at work, which doesn’t happen often.
Today I’m in Nishane Nanshe.
Perfume complements at work! Said wistfully
Wearing the last drops of my beloved Chanel 28 La Pausa EdT, one of my big favorite scents. As much as I love it, I will not replace my full bottle. Unfortunately, the EdP lacks something that made the EdT very special and magic to me.
Thank you all for your well wishes a couple of weeks ago. I am feeling better. I already started physical therapy, which hasn’t been easy and I will be back to work after Labor day. In the meantime, I am going out for short walks, engaging in light activities at home and resting.
Having my second cup of coffee with a cranberry scone.
Have a great Wednesday, everyone! ?
Glad you’re on the mend and working with PTs. Takes time but they’re so skilled and have helped me in the past immensely.
And on “last drops”… sigh 🙁
Thank you, Floragal! PTs is helping greatly and I hope it doesn’t take too long to finally be in good shape.
Last drops? but enjoying them the most! ?
Glad you’re feeling better!
Thank you, Pixel! ?
The Les Exclusifs in EDT were fabulous and the EDP versions to lack something that made that line awesome.
I think the EdPs are still great scents, but I can’t help the comparison. Unless they fall in my lap, I will not spend money on them.
The only one that I have spent money on is Coromandel. When I run out, I will reassess on if I want another bottle.
Welcome back! Glad you are on the mend!
Did you have enough to squeeze out 8 drops of La Pausa?
Thank you, Lillyjo! ?
I was able to get 11. The last 4 drops went to my blouse, so I can still smell it! ?
So glad you’re better, PL67! Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!
Thank you, Adanst! ?
Yay for feeling better, now you can enjoy the time off.
Thank you, Aurora! ?
You smell so fabulous! Glad you are feeling better; physio is definitely a chore but will be worth it in the end.
Thank you, Gail! ?
Glad you’re feeling better!
Thank you, NovemberRose! ?
Congrats on starting physical therapy! Hope you make great progress.
Thank you!
So glad you’re doing better!
Thank you, Isabella! ?
Glad to hear that you are feeling better after your mishap, and starting PT for it! Sending you thoughts of strength and healing!
Thank you, Jalapeno! ?
Good luck with the PT! Glad to hear you are on the path to feeling better. Hope you are enjoying the swan song of your La Pausa!
Thank you, Vee! I sure enjoyed it!
YAY for getting better while wearing CHANEL!
It does seem some of the magic left the EdP building. It’s a bummer and REALLY hard not to compare. I wonder if the juices will settle into themselves better after a little oxygenation and age?
Thank you, Portia! ?
I have never understood the reasons for the change, if the EdTs were already fabulous. Unfortunately, the EdP never met my expectations, price included.
I am still waiting for Chanel to release a masterpiece, like the old and beloved perfumes, Coco, No.
19, 5, etc. But it seems like it will never happen again.
“Unidentified flower oddity” is a very good description of that photo :))
SOTD: same as yesterday — Bee’s Bliss
Somebody PLEASE help me slow down summer! (sad face)
It’s a Nigella flower, I think
It is, and I’ve learned from the Great British Bake-Off that people use Nigella seed as a spice!
Exactly…that’s the theme of the week.
Helping you SLOWING IT DOWN! ? I am already panicking about winter!
Same!
SOTD is Vilhelm Mango Skin, which is fruit juicy fun. Definitely a happy scent. I am curious about the new scent they just released. Must sit on evil perfume-purchasing fingers.
Trying to decide if today is a yardwork day, or a lazy day. I’ve been mostly lazy this week. I *should* do yardwork, but really… still feeling lazy.
Yard work can always wait LOL
LOL at “evil perfume-purchasing fingers”!
No fun scent, it’s gray again today. I wore Mitsouko EdT on one wrist and EdT on the other. I like the EdT better.
Now I have chicken legs with zucchini and potatoes roasting in the oven, topped with Gorgonzola.
Ill be right over for lunch
Oh my gosh Your meal sounds delish!!!
I would eat cardboard if it had melted gorgonzola on it.
? Same!
Ooooooooooh, tasty sounding dinner! ?
YUM on your wrists and your lunch.
Right now I am re-sampling Bass Solo. I am pre-shower so and cooking with mom (yes and having a tiny amount of Boss Solo on my wrist while our chicken soup is already simmering).
Bass Solo when sampled for the first time was done so with all 4 being applied to different parts of my skin. I already knew Swan Princess and loved it but applied it next to the other 3 anyways. I found Bass Solo “too predictable” nice but not a wow. It reminded me of Angel’s Share, a perfume so anticipated by me and the one that disappointed me when I opened the bottle and gave it several tries. It just seemed so boring, like many other fragrances out there.
This time Bass Solo sampled by itself smells a lot different to me. It smells nothing like Angel’s Share. First of all it isn’t a gourmand and second of all it smells very woodsy. And a nice kick of spices. A tiny bit of soapy lavender (which is a great thing for me). Previously I called Bass Solo a unisex. This time around after giving it a good try I think it is somewhat unisex leaning a little bit towards masculine. But by all means I would happily wear it if I had a bottle.
I do not know your scent, but want some of that soup 🙂
Donatella might be proud of me. I decided against the massive bottle of Coco Mademoiselle but got the Eau Premiere travel set instead. On day 4 of my vacation is it’s going to be a lazy day. In Lyric currently but will be getting into the shower to wear Sarrasins.
Toh, travel set! Containing shower get, lotion? Chanel does scented products well…
It’s the travel sprays that I did get. I do enjoy the Chanel bath stuff but have enough bath stuff at the moment.
In Ysatis, the space heater is on at my feet, and the banging continues all around my house. I feel like some beleaguered fairy tale character, locked away in a cave, surrounded by outraged trolls. Except, I am at my computer and trying to write something coherent about the contraction of democracy. 😆 !
Outraged trolls! Lol!
I wore Ysatis over the weekend for a dinner out. Love that one!
Any chance you could use a metaphor about a fairytale with trolls for your writing assignment?
Good luck!
You smell wonderful!
Wearing AA Limon Verde, which will be very fun for the 15 minutes it lasts
hope you are enjoying the remaining 10 minutes : )
?
Lol!
In Le Labo Ylang 49, powerful! but not huge sillage, i don’t think, got a sample of it from Nordstrom, very pretty.
Howdy there Coin-op!
That one is very pretty!
Sotd is Narciso White Cube. It’s been so gorgeous out the last few days. My weather guy says I will get a warm fall but an early winter. Who knows though really?
You smell great! I wonder if that means I’ll get a warm fall too? My weather guy hasn’t said, or maybe I just haven’t listened.?
You know I am already on the predictions, lol. This is a little early for it, but I think the weather guy was probably bored talking about good weather and had to stir the pot a little ?
The weather has also been gorgeous here. Warm fall is always welcome, but for the price of early winter? As long as we get an early spring…
Exactly! I hate a late spring. I had 30 inches of snow this past February!
?
Putting in a request for some gorgeous summer weather for my area, please! It’s been gloomy and cloudy.
I had a little chat with the BOSS about it for you.
Fingers crossed.
Official SotD post-shower: Nishane’s Tuberoza. I cannot even explain in words how happy this perfume makes me!! The only “happier than happy” in this case would be a BUB.
I looked this one up and it sounds beautiful! Glad it makes you happy!
Another hot day after a sleepless night. Commando as nothing sounds good. On hold with the California Franchise Tax Board trying to fix a problem accessing online account. Then I have an outside painting job waiting for me. The fun never ends. 😉
Were you able to find a match for your paint??
I think so, it’s too hot right now to paint in the full sun but will test it out this afternoon.
Sorry about the no sleep + tax issues. Painting, yeah, not so fun. Wishing you good luck!
We finally have clearer skies and the smoke has dissipated. But the heat is STILL on!
I’m in Azemour today, watching the fog clear and hoping the mental fog will do likewise. And I continue to be marooned at home — turns out the new alternator that the mechanic put in last week was faulty and needs to be re-replaced, and now the shop is so busy that they think it’ll take all week to fix it. Have had to cancel all fieldwork, social events, and long-awaited doctor’s appointments and am just hoping the food I have on hand will hold out. Just trying to roll with it, but really missing all the physical activity and intellectual engagement that was supposed to help me keep from missing my son too much this week.
poor you!
Sending cheerful vibes!
Oh that sucks, poor you! Hopefully you have access to Instacart online grocery ordering in a pingh.
Oh no! I hope the mental fog lifts but I do understand how missing a loved one feels.
Maybe experiment with delivered takeout and grocery? I tried both once each last April, not because of desperation but for science in case I needed to rely on deliveries more than I ever really needed.
Alas, no one will deliver to my tiny townlet but fortunately it looks like I’ll have my car back for tomorrow and will still be able to get in some sweaty/dirty time in the woods.
Thanks, everyone, for your kind words!
Oh good!!
Hugs! You’re certainly due for a nice day after the start of this week.
Sending hugs
Santal Sultan from Ensar Oud. I blind bought this and I’m not disappointed. It’s a lovely smooth sandalwood scent. Wanted to wear it yesterday but wasn’t about to waste it by going to an amusement park/water park and covering it up with sunscreen
Hope the water park was fun, and sounds like you smell great today!
Hove Parfumeur Camellia
That’s a line I’ve been curious about for a long time! Tell us more, please!
I am a fan of Hove Rue Royale, Camellia, Elan d’Orange and Honeysuckle. My husband will ask me if I am wearing a Hove scent sometimes while I am wearing them. I guess they all have similar DNA.
A lot of their scents hold up well in the heat, and it gets really hot down here in New Orleans.
Hello all!
My SOTD is Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac and Marigold.
I’ve never been been impressed with and therefore mostly ignored Jo Malone, with the exception of Mimosa and Cardamom (which I like ok but very rarely wear), until I smelled this jasmine one on a friend a few months ago. I was inspired to buy a small bottle shortly after. It’s a soft, slightly vanillic and creamy white floral fragrance which I find comforting. I would say it fits the CP nicely.
That’s one of my favourite Jo Malones, you smell great.
Oh, I’m in good company then. Thank you Cazaubon.
Wishing you patience and good luck with all the house related troubles.
Thank you. The house paint I got is a good match, unfortunately the trim paint is all wrong. The woman I bought this house from is an idiot.
That JM is a very pretty jasmine!
Do you get much marigold from this? Or is it mostly jasmine?
I started the day in Caron Eau de Réglisse because I hadn’t worn it yet this summer, it’s a citrussy licorice and lasts surprisingly well but tonight I was in the mood for something richer and I chose Guerlain Souffle; as much as I like the intense I find this more versatile and reach for it more often. In all seasons.
I have the Souffle edp and the Intense. I can’t wear either one in the heat. I don’t know why, because I don’t think of them as heavy perfumes.
Maybe it’s too musky for you in Summer.
I love licorice candy, but can’t do those notes in perfume.
I can see it is a polarising note, mint might be a better option in the same vein.
I have a physical therapy appointment today and the therapist is fragrance sensitive, so I put just a touch of eau de Cartier gouette de rose on my handkerchief. Will put some on my wrists and neck later today.
I love the mental image of you with a scented handkerchief! Wonderfully old-school aromatherapy!
Thanks! I started using handkerchiefs about ten years ago as a very modest step toward environmental action.
Yesterday I wore Hiris during the day and sprayed on Le Dix at bedtime. Just put on some O de Lancome to take a bite out of the heat.
Hope everyone is staying cool and hydrated!
You smell great! I am reading Les Cent Onze Parfums Qu’il Faut Sentir Avant de Mourir (The One Hundred and Eleven perfumes that must be smelled before dying) and O Lancome was listed/definitely caught my attention.
Thank you! I hope you can sample it soon!
You smell wonderful! O is one of my favorite summer scents!
Thank you! It’s a no-brainer in the heat we are having. Good thing my sister gave me her bottle to accompany mine.
O de Lancome has gone on to and off of my Full Bottle list for a while now. Sometimes it gets pushed off by a different new “shiny!”.
That’s very true! I had a bottle years ago so I was compelled to have it again. I was shocked my sister gave me her bottle.
Shiny objects always seen to get my attention?
WOW Gail, what a lovely line up.
Thank you, Portia! It’s so hot here that it’s kinda fun just to grab whatever the hand goes for to change it up.
Sotd is Rose 31, a happy fragrance for me. Using Rose 31 conditioner this morning from a hotel bottle reminded me how much I enjoy it so I happily spritzed away.
And I can still smell that crazy Participe Passe on my office chair pillow – yikes! I just want to smell Rose 31! Might have to start bringing bottles to the office with me for re-spritzing purposes.
Participe Passe! ? Sorry you have to deal with its tenacity!
You smell fabulous in Rose 31!
Thank you!
Lovely picture today Robin! I find it soothing.
You were absolutely correct in noting that I was listening to XPN on Monday morning. Yesterday, too. I’ve been enjoying their MTV week programming for the most part. And on that note…
Song of the Day: https://youtu.be/h0JvF9vpqx8
I wonder how many people Tom Petty freaked out in this video?
SOTD = more Atelier Cologne Encens Jinhae.
He freaked me out. I like the song but not the video.
Meant to comment yesterday on Pat Benatar, that it was one of my favorite songs. I liked her early albums.
Ditto. I’ve got 4 of hers on vinyl.
Oh, he freaked me out but good! Talk about some high octane nightmare fuel!
?lol, it was playing in my head before I clicked the link. It is a freaky video.
There aren’t too many videos that can out-weird that one. Herbie Hancock’s “Rockit” does come to mind, though.
Hated that video! And the song.
When I think weird videos this is one of the first to come to mind
https://youtu.be/YxS4lqppZ6Y
RIP Scott
Yeah, that one is definitely odd. Great song, though!
I hadn’t seen that video since it was popular on MTV. Much weirder than I remembered! And yes, RIP Scott
Oh my! I am getting my MTV education here! I loved the video!
Pretty sure that I was part of the target demographic when MTV debuted… I watched it every chance I could throughout my teens and early 20’s.
Same. Do you remember 120 minutes and Remote Control?
I vaguely remember Remote Control. I was more of a “Headbanger’s Ball” person.
120 minutes was the best! I’m a Matt Pinfield fan.
Adam Sandler, Colin Quinn, Denis Leary.. loved that show.
Love the video.
Glad you like it!
Had to go to the office today ? so just now checking in. Wore 19 edt because that’s the vibe I wanted for my mid-year review. It worked. I wore an obscene amount because 1) people who are masked would barely smell it anyway and 2) people who aren’t masked would have to stay outside of its force field. That worked too. ?
Drank crappy bagged tea bc options were severely limited here. The only way I can deal with coming back to the office regularly now is if they let me have an electric kettle so that I can make proper tea here.
I love the image of the No 19 force field! Totally agree with you on decent tea.
Was it your first day back? I was discombobulated, not knowing what to expect. It ended up being “normal”.
Extraneous electrical devices were outlawed in our offices a while back. Of course if you use it and put it away, one can probably get away with using it. No extension cords though.
Not quite my first day back. I went in for about two weeks when I started this job in September, and then once in May to deal with some paperwork that had to be done at the office. I had to go back in again to do paperwork, so figured I’d take the opportunity to have a face to face for my review, but we sat outside so that we could meet maskless. In theory I will be in three days a week starting after Labor Day, but Delta may throw a wrench in that. I couldn’t believe how much stuff I had to tote with me – laptop, notepad, food for the day, travel mug, so much stuff!
I’m hoping if I get a kettle that has auto shutoff after X minutes they will let me have it. I had to give up my office plant collection (no live plants allowed in the building) so I’m hoping there is some leeway with other creature comforts. We shall see.
Ha ha — love the force field! Really, depending on how one applies one’s perfume, it can either say come-here-and-kiss-my-neck or danger-stay-back-six-feet.
My agency dropped its return-to-the-office plans in light of the Delta variant so we’re all home workers for the foreseeable future. Suits me just dandy!
Perfect perfume choice for the day!
It was, as I learned here on NST. 🙂
Having worn Nirvana Amethyst yesterday, I wore Nirvana French Grey today! I’ve enjoyed both very much.
I love those two very much. The Nirvana scents are going to be perfumista unicorns someday. I wish they hadn’t been discontinued.
Me too. I especially like Amethyst. Snap ’em up these two while you can; I found mine at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx.
I think Nirvana Bourbon is great! I was also sad to see the line discontinued. Those two have put out some great scents and some gorgeous jewelry
SotD = Eau de Guerlain
Today feels like a cologne day. EdG is a minty citrusy delicious cologne that always makes me happy.
That odd photo up top today is also making me smile.
I raided the perfume cupboard this morning for other cologne-ish scents. They are lined up on my desk for future spritzing — Guerlain’s Cologne du 68, Eau de Fleurs de Cedrat, Apres L’ondee EdT, also Eau des Merveilles and Paris-Riviera.
Summer-friendly scents as far as the nose can smell. 🙂
You smell great Tiffanie! I love EdG.
I love the color of the flower but thought it was a headless ballerina.
SOTD = Chanel Les Exclusifs Le Lion de Chanel
… because someone (MossyBerry?) mentioned it yesterday and apsara mentioned having Chanel on tap.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CSK3-j4LCKV/?utm_medium=copy_link
In other news, it’s kinda cr-ppy out … not raining, not super hot, very humid, threatening rain, so I am giving myself a pass from taking my walk.
Perfume friends, I got my bottle of Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Intensement yesterday! I’m glad I did because the person who gave me the generous sample was working and she got credit for the sale. I also got a GWP (which I will give away) and a $10 credit which I can use by September 2nd with no minimum purchase.
Yeah, it was “bleah” weather for me today, too. Only nice thing about was the temp, which was rather pleasant.
I wonder how many people are going to get LVEB Intensement in the near future? ?
Between me and She-Ra, we may have a group at least wanting to try it out. We have a mind meld thing going on ☺️.
Oh this little lemming went to market…no, wait he stayed home…for now….
I’m going to have to stop at Macy’s to smell Intensement.
That Noah’s Ark is precious.
You should smell it … not just on paper. And thanks — I remembered the Noah’s Ark just today!
Checking the notes and it seems like a winner. Lots of reviews both in the plus and minus. I love raspberry and vanilla (besides being my favorite cookie) so I may have to take a chance! I don’t think I want to chance it by going to my local mall yet.
Is there anything comparable that you’ve tried?
I think if you are close to the mall, you can dash in and out pretty quickly…just sayin’
As to comparison, not by how it smells but by how it feels, it’s a fuller version of Black Perfecto (the original) which is no slouch to begin with.
“Headless ballerina” made me laugh. 🙂
? There was a delicate quality to the overall composition but I can unsee my thought about it being headless!
Me too. Hilarious and macabre
house twins! I switched to Paris-Riviera now that I’m back from running mostly boring errands. It got sweaty sitting in my car even with AC on full. Gah.
BBW Japanese Cherry Blossom again during and after a hot shower. Slept very poorly…got up around 2 am to read for about 30-45 minutes.
We had bad air yesterday from Canadian fires. Bothered my eyes and sinuses. Today seemed better but I was inside all day doing some chores and resting a sore back. The shower and the refreshing smell of the BBW scent perked me up nicely though. It’s quite delicious…clean, a bit sweet and fruity. Which doesn’t sound good on the face, but it is. I may need to do full size.
I like that one, too. I have the body spray and it has a nice presence. I’ve noticed our Plato’s Closet often has a bottle, along with many other B&BW scents; not that there are not good deals at the store, but Plato’s sells most body sprays for $3 or $4 and you don’t have to buy more that one.
I’m involved in an online conference this week and so far it has been plagued by technical difficulties. Fingers crossed that all goes smoothly tomorrow. (I am a participant but not at all involved in running it; I feel for the people who are.)
SOTD was Cristalle Eau Verte, many happy associations and also confidence-giving. Will probably try some Prada Infusion d’Iris before bed because it is so soft (the Cristalle did not last through my workout and shower).
Tech issues are the worst! We had one Town Hall where the 101st person and then on up were denied entry because someone forgot to set up the Zoom line to accept at least 1,500 so it was a big deal.
I adore Infusion d’Iris and especially love to wear it at bedtime. 🙂
La Vierge De Fer by Serge Lutens. Yes, I know people pooh pooh it but it is so beautiful and joyous that it perfectly fits the early springlike weather we are having in Sydney. Just got back from walking the dogs and it was instant balm to being locked down hard here. The sunshine, greenery and fragrance all joined together to have me smiling happily behind my mandatory mask.
You’ve made LVdF sound wonderful!
Thanks MossyBerry. It was.
