Monday (but also a Federal holiday in the US). What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Hermès Brin de Réglisse.
Reminder: on 7/9 we're honoring Ice Cream month. Tell us your favorite flavor, share a recipe if you like, and wear any perfume that you think fits the project.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: shown is Nature's (in California) organic ice cream in Honey Lavender, $9.99 a pint.
Wearing Nomenclature Iri_Del.
Happy Monday! ?
Happy Monday pl67!
Thank you, Robin! ?
I might have a sample of that I haven’t tried yet.
It is a nice and simple carroty iris scent. Good for summertime.
So many samples, so little (skin) time!
Goooood morning, everyone!
I like chocolate ice cream, but not chocolate fragrances so much, so I’m not sure what I’ll come up with on Friday.
Today is Zoologist Macaque and it’s a little much for me this morning. This sample’s almost done, don’t think I’ll need any more once it is.
Finishing samples is wonderful! You smell lovely, although completely understand this may be a bit too much in the morning.
I am also feeling a bit lost with community project. Or maybe I’ll just layer Lost Cherry with Madera?
I’ve gotten a handful of wears out of the carded sample and it’s the first time I haven’t enjoyed it. Up too early on a Monday, I guess.
Maybe I’ll do half points with a creamy/jammy floral or something. Too warm for anything strongly vanillic!
Just looked at the weather forecast.. Nothing vanillic here either.
It looks like I’ll be finishing all my citrusy samples during this week instead.
Good morning all, my SOTD is Le Labo’s Iris 39, I enjoy this beauty so much. The patchouli dry down called to me today.
On espresso #2, I’m bleary-eyed from yesterday’s fireworks that although pretty, continued until 2am.
Some so strong they shook the building.
Wishing I were in Iris 39 now…good choice.
I need to try this one.
You smell great! I should wear my decant before it’s gone (why haven’t I bought a bottle?! And now I’m afraid it’ll be different).
It took me a while to warm up to Iris 39 but oh, the day it ‘clicked’, I was downtown SF at Barneys in a heart beat!
The day is warming up and I’m already a bit sweaty from three loads of laundry (the machines are in the basement, I’m on the third floor, there’s only one working washer, so that’s a lot of stairs), but I feel fresh in a couple of spritzes of the airy Anisia Bella. I *sort* of fit the week, because my all-time favourite ice cream is Tiger Tail, which I think is a mostly Canadian thing, orange ice cream with licorice swirled throughout.
Never heard of Tiger Tail, but it sounds really interesting!
I have never heard of it either! Now I know what I am wearing Wednesday, thanks pyramus.
Pyramus has tempted to get out the ultimate anise bomb: Etro Anice, but I’m skeered. ?
I was eyeing up some of that ice cream yesterday! It’s so good!
My mom says they have tiger tail out in Hawaii now, but they added boba pearls into the swirl…
It depends on my mood for ice cream flavors, but my favorite ice cream soda combo is chocolate ice cream with coffee soda (Holstens back in NJ growing up).
SotD is Acqua di Gioia.
Still rocking the cold brew.
I have never heard of it; will try it as soon as ever I see it, and I think I would love it with boba pearls, which makes me think a bubble tea is in my near future!!
Add me to the list of people who have never heard of tiger tail ice cream! ?
I never had lavender ice cream but I bet it’s delish.
I’m in Nishane Ambra Calabria which is a creamy bergamot with luminous amber. Even quite ice-cream fitting ?
I had garlic ice cream, at a U.S. post office no less. It was interesting! I’ll stick with Mint Chocolate Chip. 🙂
? my grandmother always said “ that’s interesting” when she too polite to say she didn’t like something. A “that’s interesting” from her was a big NO. Thanks for the memory.
Yep!, you’re welcome! ? That’s exactly what I was doing!
I don’t think I’ve ever had lavender ice cream but now I want it. I’ll look it up since it’s a local brand.
Ambra Calabria is amazing (thank you for introducing it to me!). You smell great!
Let me know when you try the ice cream if they’re good 😉
Happy to share the love for some perfume that is not exactly under everyone’s radar.
I’ve had it, and yes, it’s delicious! Re odd ice cream flavors: one of the best I’ve ever had was an avocado ice cream made to float in a bowl of gazpacho. Heavenly! A local restaurant used to serve that, it was wonderful. I’ve never had it since that chef left.
Sounds quite ingenious.
Oh wow, that does sound fantastic! In my case, there was a local chef I loved who made the best watermelon gazpacho. It was just so delicious, partly sweet and partly tart. And it looked so bright red and pretty. I’ve tried making it myself, with fairly good results, but never as delicious as his was.
Speaking of desserts, I recently tried Melona Ice cream bars. Strawberry, Coconut, Mango, and Melon are all delicious, 110 calories, and Gluten Free. The Melon is seriously addicting.
I love the melon Melona bars, I shall have to try some other flavors!
Ohhhh my goodness, the Strawberry is fantastic!
Happy Monday. And very happy to have the day off. I’m in MPG Fraicheur Muskissime which I prefer to Mure et Musc. We had a great party last night with sons and friends (all vaxxed): salmon, wine and corn hole.
AND I made homemade stracciatella (again). So yes, happy to share the recipe plus I have another wonderful one to share as well. I’ll dig them out and share on Wed — we’re camping starting Thursday through the weekend and I will have no reception! I’ll catch up on everyone else’s recipes next Monday.
That sounds like a fun time! I love berry-centric fragrances. Have you tried Trish McEvoy 9 Blackberry & Vanilla Musk?
Have a grand time camping!
The next Scents of Ancient Egypt seminar, hosted by Illuminated Perfumes, will be on the scent of gardens in ancient Egypt. Here is the schedule for noon, Sunday, July 11:
1st hour: Lecture about fragrant flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables in ancient Egypt and their social, cultural and religious significance, as well as the flower bouquets presented to gods and kings, flower garlands worn on festive occasions, aphrodisiacs used during banqueting, and the so-called “garden scent” that was so important to the Egyptians that they regarded it as an object on its own.
2nd hour: Insights into each scented ingredient, their significance for the Egyptians, and the reasons behind their use.
3rd hour: We will be guided through how to recreate the refreshing essence of an ancient Egyptian garden in a bottle!
https://www.illuminatedperfume.com/collections/perfume-classes/products/scents-of-ancient-egypt-workshop-series?variant=33033206693949
Note: the third part involves a kit that is not included in the cost of the lecture. I did not have the kit when I took the unguent cone course and still found it interesting to see Dora prepare the cone.
No affiliation — I’m just nuts about perfume, archaeology, and ancient Egypt. ?
Sounds wonderful!
It really is! She’s done extensive research and brings it to life.
I just googled the workshops and so tempted to attend a few of them. I wonder how long it takes to ship the kit. Thanks for sharing the link❤️
Enabler ? for your crown ?
Bought Escada Un Ete En Provence , 50 ml, for $18, free shipping. I’m counting it as another piece in my smell museum . It has personal significance as it was the first bottle of perfume I bought on my first trip to Paris in the early 1990s and I have thunked at least 5 or more since.
I’m thrilled that you got it!!! ???
I am obsessed with Egyptian things also..thanks for sharing.
Over the weekend you asked about Love regular version but I haven’t tried it
Both ancient and modern Egypt are so fascinating! And thanks for getting back on BK Love.
That sounds like a wonderful lecture.
Dora is looking at Egyptian archaeology with a new lens. She’s a great presenter and enjoys answering questions. The course attracts students with very diverse interests and talents, which makes for lively and stimulating discussions.
Happy Monday everyone! Still recovering from the weekend trip with highschool friends. Catching up is such a demanding thing to do…
SOTD is Les Brumes by Ormaie. It is very effervescent so I was able to pretend I am functional. Or maybe I just think I fooled everyone. Four more days before vacation time. Thank heavens it is already late afternoon here?
Just keep wearing that for the next 4 days 😉
Can’t – just finished my sample. But I’ve got some other potential pick-me-ups in my sample glass:)
🙂
Hang in there!
I’m in lemon-tea sorbet … er, Mediterraneo this morning. Mr. G is going disc golfing with one of his sons, and I plan to give myself a thorough manicure while he’s out.
Love Mediterraneo (as you probably know). Enjoy your time alone. Mr. SP went golfing with sons yesterday and I enjoyed having the house to myself.
Good morning all! I’m still not feeling up for perfume, but two days ago I went on the most fragrant hike I’ve ever been on and it was so dreamy that I’m taking my son out to the coast to do a part of it again today. When I was there, the area where I was hiking was near the edge of the coastal fog, and so there were two air masses pillowing around me — one cool and salty, one warm and honey-scented with alder buds, ceanothus, sweet vernal grass, ripe thimbleberries, elderberries, and native blackberries, masses of warm, juicy ferns, and all of it gathered together in a shining mesh of thrush song. Hoping to re-create the experience today with my little one and containers for blackberries…
How lovely!
That’s a beautiful description. Wish I could join you.
Wow! Hope you have a lovely time and bring home lots of berries.
Wow, I hope you can recapture that experience!
That sounds amazing! It takes a perfumista to fully appreciate it, too.
Your trip smells like something that should be bottled, if possible.
Oh that was wonderful – your description took me right there!
10 hours once the fireworks stopped
Howard Johnson’s peppermint ice cream on the New Jersey freeway.
Mmmmmm
Lutens Borneo has a wonderful cacao note.
OMG, I used to love that HJ ice cream! Though I got it on the Mass Pike.
Howard Johnsons is Howard Johnsons – no matter what state!
Wait, do they have peppermint in the summer? I love peppermint ice cream, but it’s impossible to find in grocery stores here unless you are lucky to catch a certain very limited seasonal offering that I usually miss.
I remember eating it in the summertime driving home from the Jersey Shore, my sister and I with sand all over the back seat of a no airconditoned station wagon.
Peppermint ice cream is great, but I don’t like when it has chocolate chips in it. I know, I’m weird.
We used to make homemade peppermint ice cream when I was a kid. Hand-cranked and all!
well thats just not right. no choc chips belong there.
I am also weird. I don’t like chocolate chips in ice cream.
I remember and love Hojo’s too! Fond memories of going there w/ my aunt and uncle when I was little in CT.♥️
I’m being silly this morning, no real perfume, but I’ve crushed basswood/linden blossoms on my wrist. A mix of sweet and green.
Nice! What do basswood blossoms smell like?
My neighborhood was planted with lindens, and they are so wonderful in the spring. There is one at the end of my street that was so heavily laden with blossoms that the scented wafted all the way down to my house at the end. Heaven!
Basswood IS Linden, it’s a local name distinction. Here in the mid-west we call them Basswood trees. I think out East they prefer Linden. But they’re the same thing. I adore the scent, brief but powerful.
Oh, interesting, thanks, Kelly Red.
Linden has such a lovely fragrance.
in Not a Perfume by Juliette has a Gun
I can see why a lot of reviewers say it reminds them of D&G Light Blue but would have to do a side by side comparison
I am half way through the Vanishing Half book, so far I am feeling that there was so much hype around this book maybe my expectation are too high but its falling flat IMHO. Two friends of mine that I share books with told me a HAD to read it-that I would love it. So I will keep pushing forward…maybe the second half will have some plot pick me ups
It did remind a little bit of Light Blue, but like a watered down version.
Remind *ME*
Wore Coco Mademoiselle last night and this morning. Since I am on my way to work, I am in no 5 edp.
Hope it is a good work day Dawn!
Tried another sample this morning: She Was an Anomaly. Verdict: This Is a Nonentity. Next…
I ran across Honey Lemon Lavender ice cream yesterday in a shop and wanted to try it, but they weren’t giving out samples. (I went with Bourbon Banana Caramel.) Still thinking about the Lavender, though.
?
Now I’m thinking about that ice cream….
Wondering if you could achieve it at home using a honey lavender recipe and adding lemon zest…
That sounds like it might work!
Bourbon Banana Caramel sounds like a very good choice, too!
It was delicious!
Wearing Bubble Gum Chic today. I remember a trip to the lake where I had bubble gum ice cream; the color was that blue you’d expect it to be!
I distinctly remember liking it the one time I had it? I can’t imagine eating it now.
I’ve only had it once as well; it was something totally different that I’d never seen before.
Bubble Gum was a favorite flavor at Baskin-Robbins for me when I was a kid.
As a kid, how could we resist?
We liked the Baskin-Robbins bubblegum ice cream when we were kids.. There were so many bubblegum pieces in it that your mouth would be way too full once you finished your cone.
Oh, pieces of gum added in. That’s even more fun!
SOTD = Chanel’s Paris-Venise. A perfect fresh floral amber for summer!
This is my favorite in the line, and your today’s review on the blog does it justice.
You smell very elegant!
Thank you! It was your blog’s Saturday Question about the Chanel No. 5 factory editions that reminded me to write about it! Let’s start lobbying Chanel for a green bottle of No. 19, shall we?
YES!!! It would be just perfect!
I could also do an amber-colored Coco
I want green too!
Perfect! And I agree with Undina, amber-colored Coco would be fantastic…
It’s hot and gross out today. I’m trusting that nobody here will remind me of this complaint, come winter. Lol.
I am trying to stay refreshed in Orange Sanguine. ?
Every summer when people on blogs start complaining about the heat (not some abnormal spikes but their locations’ regular summer temperatures), I think of how 2-3 months earlier they couldn’t wait for the winter to be over. And vice versa, in winter I remember all the summer mournings. But I don’t remind people about that, just think 🙂 Why I don’t? Because it’s never cold where I live, and it’s about a couple of weeks (not continuously) during the summer months when it does get unpleasantly hot (about which I would complain! 🙂 ), so I know that we’re spoiled here.
Orange Sanguine is one of my favorite AC’s perfumes. You smell very summer-y!
You are not alone! I am “secretly” longing for cool temperatures now. The older I get, the less I tolerate hot weather. It is not as enjoyable as it used to be. I never complained about 90 degrees and up. It is a different story for me now. Let’s hope for fall temps (not winter though, lol!) not to arrive too late!
Same. Although I don’t like it too cold either. I like 70’s and low humidity. My husband says I’m picky, lol, and he’s right.?
70’s are dreamy! I can easily take low 80’s with low humidity now.
Same. This is the first year I have consistently used my car air conditioning. I used to just roll the windows down. Lol
Hot and gross here too!? I won’t say a word this winter.?
We’d better not! ?. We will be in the mid 90’s with high humidity again starting tomorrow. I hope it passes quick ?.
I will never remind you!! I hate winter. I wish summers weren’t getting so darned hot.
I think it should be a new NST rule, lol
Don’t remind people of what they said!
🙂
I’m getting your hot and gross weather tomorrow. ??
I think I stay gross until Thursday!
No idea for the CP, so I smell green and creamy in Scherrer One Love. We ate the first homegrown zucchini this evening. There will be loads more of them.
Congrats on your own produce! We did not do a garden this year and I am missing it.
Having a long weekend is great… so I decided to do a week of it and got additional 4 days vacation. We don’t plan to travel for longer than a day (or maybe 2) because we don’t want to leave our cat Rusty who got used to us staying with him in the last 15 months (and requires small portion feeding due to health reasons), and getting a house/cat sitter on a short notice (we just decided last week to take this week off) and just for 3-4 days seemed like a lot of troubles. But still I enjoy the staycation.
Testing a set from the House of Sillage. I’ll do a blog post once I’m done, but in general I already have a question: who is buying those Swarovski-studded cupcakes?!
Okay, so I am VERY interested in the House of Sillage review because I have the same questions.
They have been sending free bottles to YouTube “reviewers”
They say they are great! Lol
When I became fascinated with perfumes, I had no trouble focusing on the perfume itself. I did not pay too much attention to the bottles. But gradually, and because Estee Lauder and Guerlain made the choice to standardize, I became more aware and eventually bought some perfumes primarily for the bottle. At some point, those cupcakes caught my eye but I don’t like them as much as, say, the Natori bottle; would consider if I knew the perfume was my style.
Happy Monday, everyone!
1) SOTD- Sunshine Mimosa body spray. Very fun and very easy; lasts for about 1-2 hours on my scent loving loving skin. Perfect for a lazy morning.
2) After a lazy morning, I will be putting in the shelves in the upper cabinets, tying up the cardboard waste for recycling tomorrow, and picking some neighborhood cherries and raspeberries (some survived the horrible heat).
3) I get my dismissal notice tomorrow, followed by the ‘meeting’ with our replacements. *rolls eyes* I will be having interviews this week, along with the push to finish the kitchen. OY VEY!
Sending you fortitude for the work day tomorrow. And good luck with the interviews!
Rolling my eyes in sympathy!
Good luck with the interviews!
Best of luck with your upcoming interviews. ???
I’m wearing Amyris Femme this morning. I have to clean the kitchen so I am procrastinating for now. More zucchini-centric dinners this week 🙂
You may have already posted what you’ve tried–but have you tried the recent Smitten Kitchen zucchini recipe? We really like it.
https://smittenkitchen.com/2021/06/zucchini-butter-spaghetti/
My aunt usually makes zucchini squares for summer BBQ as they are good served either hot or cold. We usually grate the zukes for the picky eaters in the family.
https://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/cheesy-zucchini-bites/f60a354d-6e2e-46b9-bcc2-7fbd295821d6
Oooooh, thanks for posting this recipe link! I’ve bookmarked it for future reference.
Any time… I tend to collect a lot of recipes, so let me know if you are looking for something specifically.
Also you can load the squares recipe up with additional veggies or teff (for crunch), swap in your favorite cheeses, or decorate the top with edible flowers (zucchini blossoms work well).
I only had lavender ice cream once in the beautiful village of Moustiers Ste Marie, the perfect surroundings for that particular flavour.
Wearing Boronia today, an odd woody floral that I am enjoying a lot.
So perfect, why bother eating it again 😉
My favorite ice cream ever was home-made lemon thyme ice cream at a fabulous restaurant in Sutton’s Bay, Michigan, on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula. I wish I were there right now. Well, up in Michigan, at least, as that restaurant no longer exists. It was so pure and lemony-herby tasting. Most of the time a lemon (or lime) dessert is my absolute favorite kind. I’m sure I would love a lemon-thyme fragrance as well, and so now I must try to find one to wear on Friday. We had a nice time last night at my friend’s house for potluck vegan dinner, and a good view of the fireworks downtown from her rooftop terrace. We also half-watched Yankee Doodle Dandy, and were all surprised by how handsome James Cagney was in it.
I have such fond memories of visiting that area when I was in my late teens. I would have moved there immediately if I could have.
I forgot to say, I’m wearing O de Lancome today, always good for hot summer weather. It slightly fulfills the description of my ideal ice cream, since it combines lemon/citrus with herbs, but these are basil and rosemary, rather than thyme.
Lemon-thyme ice cream sounds yummy!
Salt and Straw has a wonderful honey lavender ice cream. When I think of ice cream scents the first thing I think of is IA Waffle Cone scent based on Salt and Straw shops fragrance.
That is my plan for Friday!
I am wearing OJ Ta’if layered onto Rose Jam shower gel. I smell good! Unfortunately, the bees seem to agree, as they chased me off of the porch just now.
I’ve never had rose-flavored ice cream, but I’m sure it exists. I did make Kevin’s Rose Marmalade/Jam some years back, and it was lovely and floral, so I expect rose ice cream could be the same!
You smell great! I will join you in tasting some rose ice cream some day. ?
That jam is SO SO good! And wonderful in yogurt.
I’ve had rose-flavored ice cream at a Persian restaurant. It was Turkish-style ice cream, which has a much different texture than American ice cream or Italian gelato.
used to have almost every day in Iran in the hot months. Rose syrup and fresh pomegranite juice poured over crushed ice – not everywhere had ice.
It was called sharbot – sherbert and had the texture of granita. mmmmm
The dessert I had was the texture of a very chewy pudding. It had a lovely rose taste, with a slight hint of almond.
Had lots of lavender ice cream last summer in Provence, very refreshing.
I took a fall Saturday and I’m nursing my right wrist.
Vintage Jardins de Bagatelle EDP during the day, Sahara Noir this evening, a really baroque incense.
Ouch! Sorry Aurora! Hope you didn’t break anything and feel better soon!
Thank you so much, wrist is just very sore but not broken I think .
Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow! I’m sorry to hear about your injury, and hope that it isn’t a severe one. ?
Thank you Jalapeno, I feel so stupid having that fall, I’ve always been accident-prone.
Have you seen a doctor about it?
Not yet, maybe next week if no improvement.
Sending you well wishes Aurora!
Gratefully received!
Lovely ice cream photo, Robin! I’m looking forward to ice cream photos all week.
I’m back from a 3 day camping trip. We go every year with friends (minus last year), and it’s a love/hate thing for me. Love the outdoors and appreciating nature, love hanging out with our friends and watching the kids play, but could do without the non-flush toilets and bad sleep. I do really love the reset I get from being out in the middle of nowhere: no screen time, using so little resources, and yes, no perfume. Makes me appreciate what I have and realize I have such an overabundance.
I happily sprayed on some Shalimar Philtre just now. ? I’m going to try to keep up with the less screen time.
You smell great! I totally understand the love/hate thing with camping. It is nice to be outside and disconnect from technology but I do miss modern conveniences like toilets and showers!
Have some good images lined up already 🙂
You smell wonderful; and I love that you have a camping tradition. Glad you could go again.
I’m in Tam Dao. Needed some zen. I was up early and drove back home this morning. The traffic was thick! and my nerves are a bit frazzled currently. It’s good to be home.
We had a picture perfect holiday weekend and did allll the things: boating, swimming, kayaking, beaching, parade and fireworks. We literally could not have ordered better weather. Mother Nature’s way of rewarding us for missing out last year.
I left my college daughter with my parents for the week and then she starts her camp job on Sunday. I won’t see her for a month and I did get a little teary when I left her this morning. She’s gonna have so much fun though, so happy for her.
Waft some of that zen my way, please!
Ha!? I will!
I love icecream, almost any flavour, but don’t want to smell like that 🙂
I’m wearing my second most recent purchase, Amber Absolutely from Fort and Manle. It’s amazingly tenacious on clothing.
But no rules — you get points for any perfume that fits the project. So it doesn’t have to smell like ice cream!
There is a fancy ice-cream store a couple of blocks away, where I once had a scoop of lavender. Alas, like the lavender chocolate bar I’d tried it was too reminiscent of soap.
I do know what you mean, but lavender + chocolate grew on me 🙂
Just had a fragrancebuy order delivered and tried everything on at once. Why not? The perks of living alone. The sample of Prada Marienbad was in the most elegant slim glass tube and bonus: it smells good too.
I had a fragrance buy order all set to go, but chickened out the last second of the sale. What did you get?
Oh wow wow wow, Robin!! This honey lavender ice cream image immediately stole my heart!!
Now I gotta find out if and who sells this ice cream in FL!!
Good luck!!
I find that with many of the fancier brands that distribute, they don’t send out their most interesting flavors 🙁
*sigh* You know it’s a MONDAY of a Monday when both the police and TV reporters are in your neighborhood. Facepalm.
SOTD = Pure Poison EdP.
Oh yikes. That IS a Monday. Well….you smell great at least!
Thanks madtowngirl. Yay for perfume!
So sorry your day started out with that! I guess a lot of people were around, though, since it’s a holiday. Hope your neighbors will be safe.
Definitely NOT what I expected, that’s for sure.
I say as long as they were not coming fornyou or Mr. Jalapeño, you’re ahead ?. I am not looking forward to really yucky weather again. For the first time ever, my Apple watch showed “103 degrees” and unhealth… I looked it up and the 103 is the AQI — never saw this!
Nope, my front steps were quiet and clear!
And I had an AQI Alert on my laptop today for the first time ever. The latest update from Windows put a little weather widget on my start screen.
I’m wearing beautiful Miyako because I had been craving it.
What os the brand please?
The brand is Auphorie.
SotD has been Fleur de Sel, which is almost gone now. 2nd wearing and I still can’t decide if I like it or not. More wearing will tell. I guess. SotE will be Eau des Merveilles. Cool salt for day, warm salt for evening.
Is that the Miller Harris perfume?
Yes, it is.
Very nice!
SotD for a morning–early afternoon of weeding, trimming and mowing: Youth Dew. She could not withstand the muggy 80++ heat. But I did get a few whiffs – should have sprayed on more? Post-shower excavated Sensuous Nude from the back of the drawer. Very summery, very office friendly. Happy Independence Day to all the USA NST’ers.
Wow, I’m surprised that Youth Dew faded away. I think of it as such a powerhouse.
Same!
Le Labo Rose 31 for me today. I initially thought I sprayed too much but it it’s so nice now.
That is just good stuff.
Couldn’t decide what to wear today and finally settled on Allure parfum. It’s kind of voluptuous, but in a quiet, refined way. Most of my ice cream-y scents are a little much for the heat. Maybe I’ll take some Shalimar Souffle with me for Friday. It’s a little like lemon sherbet. Not my favorite type of ice cream, though. I might have to see if I have anything with chocolate that can take the heat. Maybe Covet. Decisions, decisions.
Oh, Covet would make an interesting ice cream, wouldn’t it?
Late to the party!
SOTD = Abaton Chinotto Gourmand EDP
It’s a recent purchase for which the intro was a Sniffapalooza Masterclass.
If there is no ice cream yet with the bitterish vanilla caramel, there should be. 8 sprays lasted about 6 hours. Pretty good in my book!
No pics of this but I do have one of an impulse buy from Boscov’s!
https://www.instagram.com/p/CQ9dKamByAp/?utm_medium=copy_link
I saw your Caturday pic over the weekend, and thought it was adorable!
Thank you for sharing the “modular impulse strip” picture. It is funny and yet gives one sardonic feelings.
