A lemming for anyone with a spare €10,000 just laying around: Guerlain's new collaboration with Kévin Germanier, who works with upcycled Swarovski crystals. "In 2021, it is the Bee Bottle that the young couturier Kévin Germanier adorns with an ornament as radiant as it is radically modern, both by its futuristic beauty and its eco-responsible creative process. A spectacular match between Guerlain’s heritage, contemporary luxury and eco-responsible upcycling, that confirms the House’s commitment both to the arts and to sustainable development. [...] At its heart, this reinterpretation of the Bee Bottle holds La Cuvée Secrète, inspired by the earliest eco-friendly action in perfumery history: the ancestral tradition of recovering the remaining fragrance from the perfume vat, a cherished ritual at Guerlain, handed down from generation to generation." 11 bottles were made. As a huge fan of Guerlain, I could tell it was Guerlain lemming before I even scrolled down to see the full picture. I could just tell by the top of the bottle and got excited even though I could never afford this. Gorgeous and lovely though.
It is luckily not my taste, nor was the last one they did. So my retirement fund is safe for this year
Recycled perfume, recycled crystals, and €10,000? Insert eye roll.
As I said above, not my taste.
For anyone who loves it but can’t afford it, his phone cases are a mere €150.
Yes but the phone cases aren’t perfumes and aren’t Guerlain :))
Do they accept recycled money?
I actually think those crystal-paved bottles that Bond No. 9 does are really pretty, because I am a raven and like shiny things, but that Guerlain bottle just looks cheap and slapdash, as if someone had dipped it in white glue and rolled it in coloured stones. Maybe it looks nicer face to face?
Googled the name… first thing that came to mind:
Guerlain and I have different takes on what futuristic beauty is lol. Yuck haha.?
