Happy Almost Friday, happy World Art Day, happy National Anime Day and happy Universal Day of Culture! It's also Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday, and if you're in the US, it's kinda/ sorta Tax Day (the tax filing date has been postponed to May 17, but if you pay estimated taxes, they're still due today). What fragrance are you wearing?
So I can think of three basic ways to approach the right scent for a spring clean: wear something über sophisticated (and maybe a tiara) to elevate the task, wear something motivational to get you going, or wear something incredibly cheerful to keep your spirits up. Today, I'm taking the third path, in Diptyque Oyédo (although I also considered Ormonde Jayne Osmanthus).
Reminder: 4/16 will be Spring clean! Wear the perfect fragrance for doing household chores. Suggested by LisaD.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the image shows items from Ikea's limited edition Borstad collection from early 2020, including the rattan carpet beater (I wanted one of those, just because they're pretty) and rattan laundry baskets. All of the items are long gone in the US, but some countries still have a few.
