Saturday is International Whisk(e)y Day, World Theatre Day and Sarah Vaughan's birthday. We're marking all the dates, and saying Rest in Peace to Elsa Peretti, Larry McMurtry and Beverly Cleary, with our usual open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, your favorite fragrance to wear while sipping a nice single malt, whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

I loved Beverley Cleary’s books when I was a girl. May she RIP.
I’m wearing the sillage-monster Profumum Acqua e Zucchero, the fancy version of Pink Sugar. 🙂
Someone mentioned they had the Profumum Patchouli and wanted to sell/swap/split it. If you see this post, let me know as I’d be interested in a split. 🙂
I like the name of your perfume..
Yes, RIP, Beverley Cleary. She was wonderful.
Hi cazaubon, I have a FB of Profumum Patchouly and would love to do a split. Contact me at leslicorthell at geemail
Thanks, I sent you a mail. 🙂
Oh, Beverly Cleary was such a treasure. I loved her books, kids I babysat for in high school loved her books, my daughter loved her books….
I have that Profumum and it is def a monster. I have to be in the right mood because it inspires lots of kisses from my husband ?
Same here! My husband likes it more than I do!
Happy weekend everyone.
Going into Daylight Saving Time tonight so I might feel slightly sleep deprived tomorrow I guess but hey, it will be brighter outside for longer!
I’m wearing Lye by Gabriella Chieffo. The brand doesn’t seem to be getting much love and it not widely spoken about.
Can’t believe Easter is only a week from now but it will be just like in 2020 – without celebrations or family gatherings, only the closest relatives you live with.
Apparently my work bonus from last year is coming soon. What should I treat myself to?
https://www.instagram.com/p/CM6-DrihC5M/?igshid=o79co4lwi610
Congrats on the bonus! How about one of the Olfactive Studio Shot perfumes?
I almost emptied the vial I got from Celine at Esxence in 2019. I’ve been saving it to keep me going for longer.
On the other hand I’m also thinking of Memo Argentina or Italian Leather.
I’m thinking of starting a color-themed series on my blog. Do you think it would be interesting?
No one guessed the name of my perfume yesterday, it was Ambre Loup.
Iris Torréfié for the farmers market. I like this one a lot but it fades to nothing too fast. I want more more MORE!
Tonight (inch allah) my husband and I are going out for our first dinner alone in over a year. I am thinking Shalimar Madagascar or should I stick with Iris Torrefie? I am wearing a green dress and mauve high heels.
Iris Torrefie didn’t workfor me.
You enjoy that dinner out ?
I will! I cannot wait to dress up
Be sure to post some photos!
Yes!
I am going to put on makeup
Which perfume?
Shalimar Vanille or the Iris one I have on?
We are going to a wedding in two weeks (the couple are being careful, everyone will be masked, my husband and I are now. fully vaccinated, we have our GP’s blessing, can get there in our own car, and will leave the reception early if things get wild) — which is to say that I am SO THERE with you on getting dressed up. Do I still know how to walk in heels?
Have a lovely night out! Hope the meal is delicious, but perhaps it won’t even matter.
I will let you know how I do in heels
I put on boots w chunky 2.5” heels the other day, and I was seriously “whoah!” Actual heels will be dicey. Just before lockdown I bought the absolute cutest platform sandals—which now look like elevator shoes to me? I have never worn them. They are actually much cuter in real life https://www.nordstrom.com/s/tory-burch-miranda-espadrille-platform-wedge-sandal-women/5546188
wow..those are great shoes
I’m so excited for you! Wear Shalimar, cuz it’s your favorite
Of course, this flanker is better than the original
I always vote Shalimar in any form but you will smell great whatever you choose. Have a wonderful time!
Woohoo! Enjoy it! I would go with Madagascar!
Go with Madagascar for sure…and have a fantastic time.
You smell great, I love Iris Torréfié. Enjoy your night out!!
It’s like a celebration to be able to go out! Go for the Shalimar!
I hope you have an amazing time! Going out for dinner and dressing up sounds so fun.
You will look lovely, and I vote for Iris Torrefie – I wore it for my niece’s wedding, and my dress smelled wonderful the next day! But I could hardly smell it during the reception!
Enjoy!
Just got back from meeting a friend for coffee and pistachio croissant to eat in the park by the river. So beautiful out! Spritzed on Fiori di Capri. Which I will likely spray in again after I shower. Then am meeting an old friend who I haven’t seen during this last COVID year.
My fridge is sparkling!
Please come and help me with mine…. I think something is dead in there. 🙁
I hope that most everything that is in there is dead. Please don’t refrigerator too many living things.
🙂
We’re on the same wavelength for cleaning. I spent yesterday spring cleaning the kitchen. Sparkly refrigerator, clean and organized freezer. All cupboards, pantry and drawers were emptied, wiped down and reorganized. I found a very scary can of 6 yr old clam chowder!! I hate clam chowder so I can only assume hubster bought it and never consumed. Yuck.
Today I’m wearing a spritz of Seville Orange Blossom, but I’m finding it too sweet for today and just not in the mood.
Lol. Yuck, I hate clam chowder too.
I love a sparkling fridge! I did my freezer a few weeks ago and took out the huge basket that holds all the food (it’s a fridge on top model) and couldn’t get it back in.? I got so frustrated I ended up putting the basket in a corner of the kitchen for a couple weeks and then tried again and voila, it went right in. I have no idea what I did different but I don’t think I’ll ever take it out again!
I’ve got a stove just calling your name…..
Mmm, love pistachio croissants!
I cannot remember the last time I had a sparkling fridge, ya’ll are making me feel bad 🙂
I was thinking of asking the cleaner to do the fridge for extra $$$$. There’s a very ripe wedge of brie on the edge of Big Stink. So lazy, first world problems etc.
I couldn’t get here much this week, but mostly I’ve been wearing my Eris Mx. sample with a couple of days spent with my new Nez bottle.
Here’s my brief review of the new Nez fragrance, Ambre a Levres. It’s interesting that they chose to put amber in the name–I don’t really get what I would call amber. Behind the scenes: I panicked and bought a bottle (small size, great price, no samples, etc) and then panicked and wished I hadn’t (it’s not really my type of fragrance); but now it has arrived and I like it very much. To my nose: It begins with an aldehydic iris with sort of a clean shampoo vibe, and I would probably have been disappointed if it stayed there. But then it deepens over time into a lipstick fragrance (iris, rose, violet) with a vanilla/tonka ending (but the iris and suede keep it from going too sweet). The suede note is subtle, but I prefer no out and out leather. It lasts a long time and smelled wonderful on my shirt the next day. I’m not a huge heliotrope fan either, so I was a bit worried about that note, but all was well.
Heliotrope listed in the notes worries me, too. It can sometimes tip over into Play-doh territory, a smell I can’t abide. Glad to hear it worked out so well for you!
I blind bought it too and love it. I get very little leather as well which is also fine w/ me. 🙂 it had a nice progression on me with the different notes too…not linear which I enjoy.
Handing out Enabler Badges here! SP, your report of panicked buy/panicked regret of buy/happy with buy is singing my song. So, with the extra She-ra stamp of approval, I bought. But I love lipstick and am a huge heliotrope fan…..plus got free shipping with code “NST” and tossed a couple samples in the basket. Will report back when I have tested. No SotD today, really; trying several things….
I’m wearing Hue, by Hayley Kiyoko. It’s a bright, very cheerful fruity floral. I like it — it’s uplifting, and I can use all the extra buoyancy I can get these days. From the website, it’s got notes of: blood orange, watermelon and freesia, peony petals, lychee, rose, pink magnolia, and cacao blanc.
That sounds cheerful, here’s to more cheerfulness! We definitely need it.
Hi Lisa,
Twin! Looks and feels like spring, so why not?
Wearing Love Extreme again which a generous NSTer shared with me.?
It didn’t smell as I imagined at first from compulsively reading reviews 😉 …sharper and maybe more tart but the greenness of the rose has really taken me now.??? really beautiful and perfect for spring!
Is this the by Kilian
Yes, it is.
Tell me more, how sweet is it?
I find it less sweet than the original, due to the tart/greenness of the rose.
Hi all!
I’m in the club kid classic Rush today, peachy milky smooth all day. I’m working all day so I wanted something that could keep up. Incidentally I found a bottle of the parfum for a song so I’m waiting for it to be delivered. I was too curious not too get it!
Stay safe everyone!
Oh I didn’t know there was a parfum. Report back!
It must have been very limited. I don’t see it often at all. The casing sounds the bottle is red matte metal…! ?
Casing comes*
That’s my mom’s signature scent! Lovely
Sounds great!
Oh, I love Rush and haven’t worn it in ages. Need to change that.
Oh I definitely recommend it, though it is quite a commitment.
That parfum sounds like a *great* find! Rush is on my longer buy list, but I have several treasured vintage peaches (Champagne, Tuscany per donna), so I’ve passed it up so far. But I am sure you smell wonderful.
I’m revisiting the sample I just got of Perris Monte Carlo Tuberose, and loving it. We have quite warm humid weather now and it’s just really blooming! We have good news that PROBABLY I will be able to go visit Mom in the flesh, in her room, late this coming week! I’m very excited for her and for me, but just hope that this next phase of opening things up more won’t go wrong somehow after their hard work of keeping residents protected out there.
Hurrah for (maybe) being able to visit your mom!
Oh wow, I really hope you get to visit your mom!!
That’s wonderful
Hope everything works out, that will be great.
Hope you get to visit!!
That’s fantastic news!!! Your perfume sounds lovely.
My favorite Tuberose. You smell great!
Yay!! Hope it works out.
Here’s hoping!
I very much hope you get to go see your mom this week!
It’s a gorgeous morning here, and I plan to repot a few house plants out on the deck. Wearing Paris-Deauville for the herb-y splendor of it. Happy Saturday!
You smell great
Thank you, lucasai – judging from your review of Lye, so do you! Gabriella Chieffo’s line isn’t easy to find in the U.S., sadly.
Wearing SL Daim Blond.
Another gorgeous sunny day in the 60’s! Woke up very early, had my coffee with a toast and fig/cocoa spread and went out to run some errands. The magnolias are almost in full bloom and crocuses and daffodils are everywhere making my walks more cheerful and colorful!
All packages for the splits of Iris de Syracuse and Messe de Minuit are on the way already. I responded to all of you who contacted me via email showing interest in the splits, but I didn’t get an answer from some of you. I am not sure if my emails landed in the spam folder, please check, but the package will reach you, regardless. I am sending tracking numbers in a few.
I will spend the rest of the weekend cleaning, organizing things at home and getting some rest.
International Whiskey day? I will celebrate tonight for sure! ?
Happy Weekend, everyone! ?
Happy weekend to you too! I can hardly wait for the flowers here to start blooming ?
Thank you Ringthing! Flowers will make an appearance in your area soon for you to enjoy! They won’t take too long! ????
In Twilly today, making another trial run through the Hermès minis that Sephora sent me by mistake last year. It’s okay on me, but I’m not interested in purchasing. Of the four minis in this set, Rhubarbe Ecarlate is the only one I like — and I doubt I will ever buy it. I think that, even though I bought a Jardin last year (Sur le Toit), the only Hermès that I out-and-out LOVE is Hiris.
I loved Elsa Peretti’s bone cuffs. I remember seeing them in a magazine ad when I was a youngish teen, and then just a couple of years later, my cousin — a first cousin once removed who was only a few months younger than me, but always the petite, pretty, worldly one — showed up wearing one at a family gathering. It was a silver one and I think a gift to her from her mom (my cousin), but I recall being shocked that someone my age could receive such an extravagant gift. I wonder if she still has it (it’s been 30+ years).
I wanted to re-read all the Ramona books when Cleary turned 100, and I didn’t. I will now.
I’ve long coveted a gold bone cuff but at $12,000 thats never going to happen. But now I see a matte black over copper for under $500!!
A big birthday hint may be in order?
The bone cuffs are so gorgeous.
When I think of EP I always think of the Halston bottle, and I remember the little perfume bottle necklaces….I always wanted one.
I bought a bottle of Halston just for the bottle. Beautiful object. Juice is pretty good too, but nuclear strength.
Yes, it was strong stuff! No idea what it’s like now.
Rain before seven, done by eleven. Now it’s just gray.?
It’s the perfect day for Tam Dao, doing laundry, finishing a paper and getting my @$$ kicked in scrabble for the third time this week. My daughter has beat me twice this week, each time by more than a hundred points. I just cannot win and my husband asked me why I keep subjecting myself to the humiliation, lol. Because it’s fun! Hey, who knows, maybe one of these time I’ll actually win…who am I kidding, I’m never gonna win.?
I play against the scrabble app and win most of the time on intermediate. I limit it to the 8 set play. I have never won against the Expert – I tried but some of the words I have never heard of!
Prada Iris d’Absolue this morning. I am thinking about cleaning the patio but I’m sleepy today. Making duckadillas for dinner from some leftover duck bits I found in the freezer. I have mango peach salsa and some pepper jack cheese.
Mmm – love duck!
I love the golden Infusion d’Iris
In Fleur de Lalita, a BWF that doesn’t give me a headache.
Just gave away my old deck dining table and now need to assemble my new one. BBQ is almost here!
You smell great. I enjoy a couple of Dusita perfumes.
Which are your favorites?
Did you buy your furniture at your local mega-grocery store? Asking, because our Kroger today had for sale three or four attractive, by NO means inexpensive types of patio sets along the sidewalk leading up to the store. $900.00 and up for a sectional or a glass-top table and chairs – I just wondered why that seemed odd to me – perhaps they were popular brands that people who had been looking around would recognize as a good deal?! Enjoy your BBQ; I am “opening” our porch tomorrow but we will have BBQ from our wonderful local Jamaican Food Truck.
I got the table at Lowes. Still searching for chairs! Yes though I have seen patio furniture at our Kroger too
Hope you get the right chairs 🙂
I am a big fan of Elsa Peretti line of jewelry for Tiffany’s esp those in production in the early 2000’s. I thought the silver pieces were amazing but y big beef with silver – you have to clean it and polish it all the time!!!! However the designs (at least to my untrained eye) were beautiful, fluid and timeless (albeit pricey!!!)
SOTD – Teone Reinthal Honey Amber. Very potent cheerful honey.
How did the Angel’s Share work out for you? What’s your report? ?
I was surprised but how much I liked it. It is very addictive. When sprayed on hair and/or clothing it sticks around for 24 hrs. Dry down of Tonka, woods and praline is super addictive and comforting. It is reminiscent of very sweet cognac – and I think this is why it works for me, because I find general smell of pure unsweetened cognac revolting. Def FB worthy and I am thinking of doing a split!!
Awwww… on me, either it dissipates or my nose stops registering it after about 90 minutes. It is a beautiful scent!
I’m still testing my samples from Francesca Bianchi. Wow, her perfumes have lasting power. I put on a tiny dab of Under My Skin last night, and it’s still going strong, with lots of sandalwood. I’m thinking of an FB, but my sample is going to last a very long time 🙂
Lots of sandalwood sounds lovely.
Which ones do you like? Her fragrances are truly niche and I find Under My Skin to be the best of her line up
I’ve got a FB of Lost in Heaven, and I’m very tempted to get FBs of Under My Skin and The Dark Side. I can still clearly smell Under My Skin on my arm, some hours into the day and post-shower!
All really good choices!!
The whole line has been impressive to me so far. I love Under My Skin and it’s on my FB list too. You smell divine.
Will be wearing vintage Coco later, after a shower. A windstorm knocked out a big section of our backyard fence Thursday night, right on top of our truck, and blew out a couple of old windows on our back porch. Mostly cleaned up now and the truck damage is minimal thank goodness, but still a shock, plus I’m undergoing a change in medication that’s making me feel like I have the flu. Sniffle. Yes, I’d love some cheese with my whine but I got my cholesterol checked this week too, lol!
Oh I am glad it was not worse, ringthing! We had a big wind like that here. I heard the house creaking and settling as blasts went up under the soffits, I guess. But today when I did my yardwork, there were almost no branches or any sign of it. Passing you a “nice bit of gorgonzola,” as Wallace would say.
Isn’t that weird? There weren’t branches down in our neighborhood or anything, just like a down draft right in our back yard.
Haha – “Cheeeeese, Gromit!”
Oh wow, that’s a lot to happen in one week! I’m glad your truck wasn’t badly damaged. I hope you feel better soon.
Passing you some virtual gouda.
Thanks!
Sorry to hear all that, ringthing! And hope you feel better soon. Still, you smell gorgeous.
What a hassle!! Glad it was not worse.
Me too.
I’m sorry about the wind damage. That’s pretty scary!
Thanks lillyjo it was. We have a high wind warning again today, I guess it’s like this every spring but it seems windier than usual this year.
Celebrating theatre today and everyday until we can open the theaters again!! Still recovering from the cost of a new air conditioning system installed yesterday–but since I’m not cruising anywhere this year, my travel funds have at least gone toward home improvement!!
Have successfully had my second Covid-19 shot and am fully vaccinated (YEAH). Planning a few days away in May to the beach by myself, just to watch the waves and find a little peace.
Hope all of you have a lovely, peaceful weekend. Oh and perfume, I am wearing one of my spring faves, L’Occitaine Jasmine (very vintage, but still lovely).
Is that the jasmine from 10-15 years ago? If so, I had and drained a bottle. You smell lovely.
actually even older…bought my first bottle in Paris nearly 30 years ago. Drained that in no time, then spent about 20 years searching till I found one on Ebay 5 or 6 years ago…..love it.
Shows are getting ready!
New AC = good. We did that a few years ago, and it made a huge difference in our bills and in the air quality of the house. The newer systems are so much better.
I still have my original Elsa Perretti cuff I bought at Union Square Tiffany store in SF. have not worn it in years, but not ready to say goodbye either.
Slept 12 hours after five straight 4am alarm wake ups. Cleaning from top to bottom and then a good walk later on glorious SoCal day.
My sheets are in the laundry with the laundress le labo Rose 31 and my SOTD is 31 liquid balm.
That cuff is amazing. I got one about 15 years ago, and while I love it, it is hard to wear it to work – it is hard to type with it, so I have to take it off!!! One of the characters dfrom the show Billions wears it all the tone.
me too clarissa. don’t wear any bracelets due to typing. plus my hands are not young anymore.
It detracts from the hand, no? I have to look up the cuffs. They sound gorgeous.
It does not detract (at least the older model). It is pretty heavy and especially during the summer your hand really sweats. Gorgeous jewelry thou
alas, no.
The Mouse and The Motorcycle was the first chapter book I ever read by myself. I remember how grown up and proud I felt, and it must have been 40 years ago. Thank you Mrs. Cleary.
I’m finished my sample of Apothia’s Bronzed today. We’ve gone from highs in the high 40s last weekend to near 80 today, so I’m vibing on sunscreen/ beach perfumes. I hope everyone has a fabulous day.
I would not be surprised if one of the Ramona books was my first. I loved those, although now I barely remember them. I do know I read The Mouse and the Motorcycle too.
I remember reading The Mouse and the Motorcycle, too. It made the list of books that I intentionally reread as a kid. I have a step-grand who turns five this year, and I’m already adding Cleary books to the reading list. ❤️
SotD Santal Majuscule for 2nd COVID shot, so DH and I are done! We stocked up on chicken and other soups in case we are not “feelin’ alright” later. My mystery scent yesterday was Mandarine Mandarin. I guess my M. Luten’s “tribute band-” style hint did not ring true, LOL.
Yay for you both, and hope you are feeling fine! Really seems to vary.
We had Pfizer; 24 hours post-2nd shot, neither DH nor I had more than a little soreness in the shot arm – feeling thankful – and glad to add to the pool of the vaccinated.
Oh good.
Wearing Madar by Poesie Perfume.I am becoming a fairly boring fragrance experimenter at this point and find myself reaching for the same scents on a daily basis.
I’m going through my samples and may end up with an assortment of mixed variety samples (Not carded) and small decants with a small amount left to give away.If anyone is interested please contact me at sricher eight o eight at the land of g mail.
I could mail them out in the next week or two.
I have tried almost nothing new for the past year, and it’s actually made me enjoy my collection more. Everything in phases, that’s the way I look at it 🙂
I’m feeling pretty rough today after my J and J vaccine yesterday afternoon, so I’m commando. However, to “cheer me up”, my 4-yr-old put on a spritz of Atelier Lemon Island AND a spritz of my husband’s 25-yr-old bottle of Very Sexy for Men (which I’ve never ever known him to wear). The combination is disgusting, but the little guy is so proud!
So glad you got the vaccine, but sorry that your feel bad…..it will all be worth it. I feel lucky that my reaction to the Pfizer was only mild aches and soreness….glad to be done!!
Hope you feel better soon.
Aww so sweet. Feel better!
Feel better soon!
Hope you are better tomorrow irisjasmine!
I am wearing and enjoying Tiger’s Nest and have an amusing scenario for you concerning my multi faith family. A child in my grandson’s pre-school class tested positive for Covid so he and his family have to quarantine for the next 10 days. That family is Jewish and Christian. Because they can’t go to the store, my other daughter and her husband have had to shop for their Passover seder meal. This daughter and her husband are Hindu and Christian. They now have a few funny stories of my son-in-law Niraj and their grocer Achmed diligently trying to put together the grocery basket.
That is perfect! A good friend sent me a pic of an ad for an Easter sale on all Manischewitz wines ??♀️
I know it is pretty far off topic from perfume, but it made me proud of all of them, including Achmed the grocer and I smile whenever I think of it!
Aww love this story 🙂 Mr yasmina has been diligently assembling everything for a virtual seder tomorrow with my in-laws. He decided to do A Persian passover spread. Can’t wait to taste how it all turns out
I did some research on Persian food the other day, inspired by all the talk here and made a Persian-inspired dinner for the first time. I have to say it was wonderful and I will research some more recipes for the future.
Lovely story!
Loved this story – glad you told it!
I’m in Mohur edp this gorgeous sunny day. Lazing around but planning some time in the garden.
What a grand perfume choice
You smell lovely. I find Mohur is best in warmer weather. You are reminding me to bring out my bottle
Envious of your garden time. After yesterday’s warm sunshine here, today will be cold and rainy. Boooo!
SOTD = Maya Njie x Scent Trunk Original Edition Focus Ingredient Tree Moss
Love it – I’ve described it as and still do as walking through a forest after overnight rain.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CM7tO1fhwHC/?igshid=sl84d2y8ctzc
Family Zoom went well and not bringing up politics definitely kept it going. We have our next one scheduled for May 1st!
Masks – if you can’t get your hands on legit N95s, a good alternative is KF94. I bought packages from a Korean store. I will use one next week. My brother also showed us an “ear saver” which is an adjustable band you loop around the back of your head with each end hooked to an ear loop. Indeed, it stretches the ear loop so it doesn’t cause the loop to squash your ear. I need to buy a few of these, especially when I have to wear masks when I eventually commute into the city again (date TBD but it is a coming this year).
Hope everyone is having a good weekend! I have many packages ? to open – fun!
Glad it went well!
Thanks!
I bought a big pack of KF94s on Amazon and wear one under a regular cotton mask.
Yay! Robin approved counts for a lot!
I just got that from Scent Trunk with some others, haven’t tried it yet but I look forward to it!
Having packages to open is so much fun. Enjoy your new goodies! ?
I saw this on Reddit and thought it was one of the best representation of dejection:
https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/comments/mc8e77/i_hate_baths_i_told_you_just_leave_me_alone_human/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Aww… poor little guy. Too cute though ?
When I first saw it I thought the dog was crying and you know what? He probably was crying! Poor doggo.
Aww, my heart aches for him.
Mine too!
We had a fairly industrious day today. Some very ripe bananas were calling, so the hubster and I made dog biscuits and jacked up bananas bread with black rum instead of bourbon. It was fine. When baking with booze, it’s hard to go wrong, really! Erm, only the bread has booze in it, not the dog biscuits. ?
I found out yesterday that I will need surgery on the finger I broke a couple of weeks ago. I’m not pleased, but what’s a gal to do? I’ve had the first part of the vaccine, so I feel a bit better about the situation. Hopefully will happen this week.
I’ve been experimenting with an Eneke sample set I ordered in 2015? 2016? I have no clue. After My Own Heart has a lot of lilac in it; it’s grassy, too. I’ve tried En Passant, and have come to the conclusion that lilac doesn’t work for me, and that’s okay!
I’m sorry about you having to have surgery. I’m wishing you the best! It goes without saying that you need a recovery present ?.
( I said it anyway, lol)
Oh, you’re very kind! I’m tempted, but I just ordered the Nez bottle from LS, so that will do it for me.
Actually, with all of the humans you have to deal with, I think you should get a reward bottle!
Ouch about your finger. I hope it’s outpatient and you’ll be good as new in no time (well, after therapy).
It will be outpatient! ?
I hope it goes well. As you know I had hand surgery in December after my freak accident cat bite on my thumb. I did about two months of physical therapy and am glad I did as it really helped and was actually kind of fun. With hands, they call it occupational therapy. I worked with two different people and both were excellent (if you need any recommendations, but my place is probably too far from you). They have a lot of creative activities you do and it was more varied than my repetitive PT for the hip surgeries. I assume you’ll have some too and wish you the best of luck.
Thanks, Calypso! I will have OT for sure. It will start a couple of weeks after the follow up appointment. It’s cool that you had fun with your OT experience. That probably means, as you said, your therapists were very good at what they do.
Seconding Calypso on this – I find the finger exercises to be fun
Work is still crazy busy. Yesterday a lady got in my face about the fitting rooms still being closed. I just said do you want to be in a box trying on clothes with a bunch of naked people? Lol. I heard Old Navy opened theirs up. I’m dreading when we do, because we don’t have enough people to watch it. Yesterday I wore Allure edp and today I’m going in wearing Tendre Poison. I love this perfume so much. It’s not over the top, and perfect for spring.
I hope you have a good day!
Thanks!?
As long as you take returns… I hope your day goes fast today!
We do take returns. The main problem I think is we won’t be able to clean and sanitize after every customer.
Have a good day, Lillyjo! You will survive! ?
Thank you!?
I love Allure edp.
I do too. It’s the only version I’ve tried. I’d like to sample the eau Sensuelle eventually.
After all the talk yesterday about cleaning, I got distracted from repotting plants and cleared all the extraneous junk out of the laundry room (it had become our “junk room”), and then organized all my painting supplies (house, not art). Doing laundry this morning in a blissfully clean laundry room while wearing Memoirs of a Trespasser.
It’s such a good feeling to clear out the extra stuff.
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
SOTD is Do Son. It may be sacrilege but much prefer it to Carnal Flower. It has a pure clear green spicy fresh quality that I love. I never thought that I would enjoy tuberose scent so much.
I recently sampled Chanel Boy. The opening lavendar note is beautiful. I can’t decide if I want to own it. Any thoughts?
I prefer Do Son also. CF has a little too much menthol for my taste.
I have been really loving Do Son, courtesy of a sample from a wonderful NST’er.
I am doing an incense week.
Starting with Liquides Imaginaires Sancti. Sample thunk! I enjoyed a lot while it lasted.
Super rainy day! Pouring like crazy! Feeling lazy about engaging in home chores, but I cannot keep postponing them. I need more coffee and think I will be ready to start.
Happy Sunday! ?
Poured here too…thought we might lose power but we made it. Looking forward to sun tomorrow!
I’m wearing Jaisalmer today. I just wish it would last longer on me.
That’s how I feel about that one! It’s beautiful and fleeting.
I have so much packing to do but I am sitting on the couch procrastinating. Sigh. Just need to get ONE thing done today, at least. Wearing Memo Sintra.
When is the big moving day?
We leave San Diego Monday the 5th, will spend a few days visiting my parents in San Francisco, then will continue up to Canada on the 9th.
Wow, the 6 months went by superfast!
I know! It seems like we’ve only been here 3 months. At least I got my clothes bag packed today. Tomorrow I will tackles the perfumes, books or jewelry. 🙂
And you smell wonderful!
I was a bit uncertain when I sprayed from the bottle as there was a bitter green note that I found disconcerting, but now that it’s dried down I am liking it.
Wore Courtesan while I vacuumed this morning. Off work until Thursday and have my 1st Covid shot on Tuesday. Thinking of wearing no 5 Eau Premiere today. Also Thinking of getting the Eau Premiere travel set but haven’t made a decision yet. My bottle of Coromandel came of Friday but haven’t opened the bottle yet.
Good luck with your COVID shot!
2nd that!
Eau d’Italie “Sienne l’hiver” – for a “cold”, overcast day in Malaga. It’s actually 17C, which would have my brother in Dublin in shorts, but I guess we are acclimatised :^D
Your blood got thinner!
You smell great. 🙂
