Thank you, Robin, very interesting, I knew of Mysore for sandalwood only. Struggle with tuberose when dominant.
I adore tuberose, but I bet having to pick it every day would cure me of that 🙂
Really interesting video. I recently bought a few of the Nez + LMR publications on ingredients – like this video they give a fascinating insight into production of raw materials.
Those are nice books.
It really makes you understand why the really excellent perfumes are so expensive. Flowers like jasmine and tuberose have their own levels of complexity. Jasmine took me a while to appreciate but Tuberose was instant love. Well, the only tuberose-heavy scent I have is a wee rollerball of Libra by Ayala Moriel that is down to its last few molecules. That was a very spicy-green tuberose with a whiff of something milky.
I spotted a Korloff Majestic Tuberose on sale online somewhere and blind bought it; I hope it fills my current tuberose void.
