Issey Miyake Nectar d’Issey Premiere Fleur ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 13 August 2020 3 Comments

Issey Miyake has launched Nectar d’Issey Première Fleur, a new fragrance for women. Nectar d’Issey Première Fleur is a flanker to 2018's L’Eau d’Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum, (now known just as Nectar d'Issey), which was a flanker to 2016's L’Eau d’Issey Pure, which was a flanker to 1993′s L’Eau d’Issey.

In the cool morning air, dew alights on petals. Still-dozing nature slowly awakens with the sunrise. An impatient flower opens gently, revealing itself, radiant, generous, bright. Time passes, unchanging. This is Première Fleur. [...]

A delicate freshness appears in the top notes, with Asian pear and an accord of aqueous fruits. An ode to florality, the middle notes magnify the freshness of the peony accord and the opulence of the jasmine.

The soft, round base notes combine smooth, milky sandalwood with the cottony sweetness of white musk.

Nectar d’Issey Première Fleur was developed by perfumers Fanny Bal and Dominique Ropion.

Issey Miyake Nectar d’Issey Première Fleur is available in 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.

Aqueous fruits? Flankers to the fourth degree? I don’t get it.

I am quite pleased — 4th degree flankers are really pretty rare!

Maybe it’s a transaltion from Italian frutti di mare? That would be a first, “A delicate freshness appears in the top notes, with Asian pear and an accord of shellfishs. An ode to florality, the middle notes magnify the freshness of the peony accord.”
