Amouage has launched Overture Woman, the feminine counterpart to 2019's Overture Man.
The creation of an intuitive, bold and uncompromising master perfumer. One of the cult figures of contemporary perfumery, over the past 25 years, she has created blockbusters and polarizing punk potions.
She has been called “dark” because of her taste for burnt, but you could just as well see her in green or mauve – anise and heliotrope are her favourite notes. She is gifted with a musical sense of accords, of a composition’s melody. A gift that can also be understood as an offering. In an industry that seeks originality, she composes her scents for those who can hear.

The fragrance equivalent of a breathtaking aria.
Be sure to make your grand entrance courtesy of Amourage’s [sic] Overture eau de parfum. With just a spritz or two of this woody fragrance, the brand evokes an essence of self-assured beauty and glamour that treats even the simplest of occasions with the fanfare of an evening at the opera.
Overture Woman was developed by perfumer Annick Ménardo. The notes for the woody oriental include bergamot, saffron, apple brandy accord, rose, cinnamon, geranium, incense, labdanum and leather.
Amouage Overture Woman is £260 for 100 ml at Harrods in the UK.

Nice notes but the frosted glass over the yellow – meh.
I know–it looks like a fancy package for a bar of Neutrogena soap.
Good analogy!
Yes, the notes are promising! Maybe the bottle looks better in person?
I hope you’re right but who knows when I’ll get to see ot in person ??♀️
That’s funny, I think that bottle looks gorgeous, golden, opulent, and the frosted glass lends an air of mystery! Nice notes too.
I suppose it could be attractive in its own way.
I like that the cap design and seal or logo/emblem looks to be in rose gold, which I’m particularly fond of.
I think it’s the same as the men’s.
I am behind on. Amouage so don’t even remember the men’s!
Hope it comes to the US at some point, I do like Annick Menardo and this sounds promising.
Oh, I would think so.
Adding…I think Overture Man was exclusive to Harrods for 1 year and has just joined their regular distribution.
I hope Harrods fixes their typo…
I would definitely like to try this one day. None of the recent Amouages have wowed me (nothing after Fate), but I did read they are looking back to their earlier style.
Wait. They misspelled their own brand name in the release??!!
I would not assume that…the text is from Harrods.
