French niche line Parfums de Nicolaï will launch Eau de Yuzu, a new citrus fragrance, next week. Eau de Yuzu joins the brand's summer Eau Fraîche collection.
Eau de Yuzu is a marvellous stroll in sophisticated Japanese gardens. A woody chord with a background of patchouli, guaiac and vetiver shapes the composition and retains the volatility of the citrus and watery notes for a fresh and strong trail.
Additional notes include yuzu, petitgrain citronnier, juniper and grapefruit.
Parfums de Nicolaï Eau de Yuzu will be available in 30 and 100 ml.

Yay! It’s yuzu, it’s from Nicolai and it comes in a 30ml bottle! As long as there’s no cumin lurking, this sounds tailor made for me.
I’m interested too 🙂
You currently get a 15ml Yuzu gift with purchase if you spend 100€ on their site (which I may or may have not done… ?)
🙂
It does sound really appealing!
Wish PdN did body lotions.
Oh yes! Their soaps are absolutely wonderful and I like a few of her candles too!
I was in until I read the base notes. Patch and vetiver are iffy for me. And in particular, I generally don’t like patchouli with my citrus. So we’ll see.
Was just going to say…why oh why patchouli? Love yuzu, but will approach with trepidation!
Want this, but will have to wait. I ordered a ton of Nicolai stuff a month ago or so, so enough is enough, even for me.
I love PdN so much that I’ve blind bought bottles. This one, though, due to the guaiac and grapefruit, I’ll have to test first. Is there such a thing as a disciplined perfumista?)
I was given a preview 15ml bottle of it (their gift for having to cancel their workshop in March). It’s a very lovely perfume. So much more successful than their last Angelys Pear and especially that ghastly Baïkal Leather.
I just tried a yuzu perfume – Still Life by Olfactive Studio and really enjoyed it, so now I am curious too.
I wore their Le Temps d’Une Fete years ago & loved it, received many compliments from colleagues – then true to form, like so many I’ve loved & lost, it was reformulated & not a patch on the original, & now I think is discontinued!
