4711 Remix Cologne Edition 2020 ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 24 April 2020 6 Comments

4711 has launched Remix Cologne Edition 2020, the latest in the brand's series of note-specific limited edition variations on 4711. This year's model focuses on lemon (2019 was lavender, 2018 was orange).

Sparkling. Spontaneous. Easy-Going.

Enjoy the fragrance cocktail of summer featuring sparkling lemon. Spontaneous, carefree, but above all slightly wild – the new 4711 Remix Cologne exudes a sense of adventure and the promise of exciting experiences. With a fresh citrus note, this fragrance delivers a boost of energy for a sunny, light-hearted summer!

Lemon in a whole new mix: a sparkling and juicy start blends familiar citrus worlds with new exotic facets of spicy shiso and aromatic yuzu. Floral notes in the heart lend the fragrance a softer side – with lovely violet, delicate rose and a familiar acquaintance from 4711 Original Eau de Cologne, orange blossom. A specially composed solar accord gives the fragrance its positive radiance.

Additional notes include patchouli, white musk  and ambered wood.

4711 Remix Cologne Edition 2020 is available in 100 ml Eau de Cologne.

    See, Yuzu!
    I’m intrigued…. I shouldn’t be, but I am.

Hey, why not? I think it sounds good too. But I’ll probably never see it.

And I love the packaging. I’m a total sucker for that.
I love the older perfumes in part, because of the presentation. Today’s perfumes, all in the same bottle are ‘meh’.

Hello Robin. Where can I buy (or just try) this? Ever since reading this post last evening I’ve been scouring online for this stuff, & not even the 4711 website nor amazon have it listed. A couple years ago, when my fondnesss for fragrance became a real hobby, I invested in a coffret set of tiny miniatures of the Chanel Le Exclusifs EDP series (the ones that were out by then; this was pre- Boy & 1957). (I missed the entire EDT series, which I understand were perhaps better.) I set them aside, realizing I didn’t have a developed-enough sense to really appreciate them at that time. Fast forward 2 years & even though I’m certainly no expert, by now I have a better idea of what I like/dislike & what works on my skin. So I started with the first in the set yesterday: Eau de Cologne – just so incredibly gorgeous! And within 15 minutes, I could smell almost nothing on my skin. I did hours of reading about this elusive beauty & discovered that although most believe it’s the epitome, some feel the various Guerlain colognes (du Coq, Imperiele, Fleurs de Cedrat, du Parfumeur, & Eau de Guerlain) do the same job w/o the $300 pricetag (although that’s for a large 6.8 oz bottle of EdC so, ~6 months’ worth ?).

Then there were many references to various 4711 iterations. I like the sound of this new 4711 remix for 2020 best. They had me at “violets.” Any ideas how long it’ll take to get to market & the best place to purchase one? I’m in the States (VA). I just spent $540 on a Bellodgia-palooza, so I need to cool my jets on the spending; the Chanel will have to wait a while. Thank you & thanks for all the great posts.✊??

(*PS: Do you need some Bellodgia? I have EDC from the 80’s, EDP from 2002 & EDT from ~2010. ?The nagging beast from Missoula MT 1986 has been fed, but now I’m wondering how I’ll use up all this Bellodgia in the ~27 years I have left! ?)

FragranceX and Fragrancenet both have the older (2018 & 2019) ones, and I’m guessing they’ll get this eventually but you may have a bit of a wait? I could be wrong but I don’t think this line is officially distributed in the US, so I doubt you will run into it in a brick & mortar store here.

And you are very kind, but I have way too many decants that are spoiling already…I am loathe to take on more, even for fragrances I love! But thank you, really.

Thank you for the tip re: Fnet & Fx! I’ll periodically check there to see when this might show up. It’s cheap so it’s not much of a risk.

Well, my dear, you give us all so much with your knowledgeable posts, it’s natural that people want to send you little thank yous… But I hear ya! Even a relative newbie like me – – only 2 years in & I already have two large shoeboxes full of samples & decants. Gonna log them all into Excel one of these weeks then check out this site’s storage tips/tricks/crafts for all the tiny bottles. Thanks again, Robin! ??????
