Australian botanical brand Aesop will launch Rōzu, a new fragrance that aims to capture the life cycle of the rose. Rōzu was inspired by French architect and designer Charlotte Perriand.
Rōzu was developed by perfumer Barnabé Fillion. The notes include rose, bitter orange, bergamot, shiso, basil, pink pepper, ylang ylang, guaiac wood, jasmine, sandalwood, valerian grass, patchouli, myrrh and musk.
Aesop Rōzu will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum. Look for it in April.

Oooooh I hope I get to sniff this. I LOVED Hwyl in the shop but never got around to buying a decant (and they have the stupid paper wipe samples, which don’t accurately represent the scent), and I love their non-perfume products (though I rarely buy them because they’re quite pricey), and I like the notes, so I bet I’d enjoy this.
I had a “what was I thinking” moment after my biying my 2nd bottle of their spray deodorant for an embarrassing amount to spend on such an item. I’m actually going to attempt to make it myself next time…
But I also like their stuff. And the notes to this one sound fabulous to me!
I’m thinking that anything with something called valerian grass is needed in large quantities right now….
I hope I get to sniff it too…they do interesting stuff.
My co-worker part-times at Aesop and she just mentioned this one! It sounds lovely. She said she didn’t really like it though.
Ah, interesting.
