Happy Dr Seuss Day (aka National Read Across America Day, and today is also the start of Return Borrowed Books Week). You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Astier de Villatte Commune de Paris 1871, which Kevin called "a lovely scented mix of country-walk...and cozy parlor".
Reminder: 3/6 is the The Day of the Dude. Take it easy, man.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2020, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
I think the best way to celebrate the week of the Dude is to stick to your perfume routine and wear scents that make you feel good. Go with the flow.
SOTD is First, strongly associated with spring. Relaxing and uplifting.
Ditto!
Glannys, I got to try Lush Jungle spray on skin and it does smell like the conditioner (I bought the new formula conditioner). I might’ve mixed up Jungle and the forest one- forget what that one was called, which smelled mossy. Anyway, happy to know it exists since I think it’s a great smell!
Yay! You probably confused it with Tramp (patchouli and oakmoss).
Today TImbuk Tu
Ah, very Dude-ish actually.
In Chanel 31 Rue Cambon for no reason. My hand just chose it. Take it easy!
The Dude abides.
?
Duuuuuude! Yes!
?
you smell wonderful, your hand reminds me of a water stick
Ha! Thank you! ?

???
I love The Eagles! Thank you for the link! Such a great and appropriate song! ??
I’m sure you smell wonderful Robin, the Astier de Villatte colognes are excellent.
I’m wearing Iris Silver Mist. Smelling of damp earth is great, it kind of smells like the world outside looks: Wet.
You smell fabulous!
Thanks, one of the people at work commented on it, she isn’t really into perfume but she loved this.
I think I put on rather a lot
Good morning Y’all!
I went to bed last night wearing La Maison de Vanille’s Vanille Noire du Mexique, and it was still wafting a little bit this morning. (Super duper THANK YOU to Holly for sharing this and a whole goody box of beauties with me! NST friends are the most generous ever!)
I added a couple of sprays of Guerlain Eau de Cashmere to keep the soft cozy vibe happening today. We’re expecting MORE rain, so cozy and warm is needed!
Did you end up buying a bottle of Cashmere?
I DID! I bought a tester bottle from FragranceNet!

It’s my birthday coming up in a few days, so it was pretty easy to talk myself into it!
Nice, totally deserved
How does Eau de Cashmere smell by itself, besides cozy?
I get a soft, musky scent with the softest bit of lavender…it’s actually how cashmere smells in my mind’s eye! (Nose’s eye?) (Nose’s nostril?) LOL
Super duper YOU’RE WELCOME! I’m so glad that you’re enjoying your goody box!
Arielle Shoshana Sunday for a Monday morning! So lovely and soothing.
Agree! It is comfy and pretty!
SOTD is TF Violet Blonde.
So elegant.
SotD EldO Vierges et Toreros.
Looking forward to receiving a small package this week from perfumeniche.com – yay for Canadian-sourced decants!
Nice!
Sampling Chocolatl from Euphorium Brooklyn. It’s an interesting spicy take on chocolate but isn’t a me scent
Good chocolate is so hard to find.
Hi all – my SOTD is Clarin’s Eau des Jardins. Green rose with black current notes. Looks to be a gorgeous day!
Its gorgeous here too!
Enjoy your day and your perfume.
Such a good scent, you smell effortlessly good.
I will keep an eye out for that Clarins! Sounds like it’s worth checking out.
No one is takin’ it easy here in Seattle. Home of Amazon + We are all freaked out about coronavirus. But I am in VC&A Bois d’Iris which is at least a chill fragrance!
Oh, I can imagine everybody’s freaked out! Say it with me, “wash your hands!”
Yep – my hands are already getting dried out from all the washing. (My perfumista mind immediately thinks: maybe I can get a new fragranced hand lotion! – but I am not trying to make light of this, just trying to deal with the stress!)
OMG. My city has now seen its first case. AT A HOSPITAL TWO MILES SOUTH OF MY HOUSE. #terrified
Pretty sure health care workers on the front line and EMS personnel, will be the first to fall, if any are going to fall. Here’s some scientific information to help crank down your fear. Hope it helps. ✌?
https://youtu.be/0f0GAuctVk8
I don’t want any of you to fall, either.
Agreeing with springpansy to say, health care workers are people, too!!!
Thank you for the video. I’ve read Dr. Peter Hotez’ book Vaccines Did Not Cause Rachel’s Autism. I believe Dr. Hotez has developed vaccines for some tropical diseases, and/or diseases that poor people are more likely to be exposed to than the wealthy. At the end of the book I read, he explains his own twist on the concept of tikkun olam. I’m trying to remember, but I think healing the world, for the doctor, also included medically healing people. I’ll look that up sometime.
Yeah, most of our team meeting this am was spent talking about the Corona virus and what we’re doing.
Apparently boxes and boxes of masks are missing from our facility- either staff or patient visitors or both are grabbing them (the little paper masks which are not effective anyway, apparently).
I saw a co-worker stashing a couple dozen surgical masks in her bag and had a good laugh. ??
Even the N95 is not effective for well people. It is effective when used on a SICK PERSON to reduce droplet spread.
A dude I know just posted a photo of the empty shelves at a local hardware store, which apparently sells N95 masks for construction/high dust jobs.
On a more enlightened note, Walgreens was fresh out of hand sanitizer. ??
Wegmans was also out of hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes. Also Spam. If I’m eating Spam, I don’t want a poseur in the form of TURKEY Spam. Costco was all out too!
You’re killing me! ??
Out of SPAM???? I can’t even. Does not compute.
Ha! Spam definitely seems like a food for the apocalypse only ?
Staff are grabbing masks, but many are still refusing to get a flu shot. I’m sure those people will be 1st in line for a CV vaccine…
Zoologist Civet today
a good scent and such a great bottle.
The illustrations on Zoologist bottles are so cool
Sotd is Iris nazarena!
Ha, so friday is The day of the dude ?
I rewatched The Big Lebowski for the umpteenth time two weeks ago.
Even though its more than 20 years old its still very watcheable and entertaining. Perfect casting! Great soundtrack!
you smell great! My Dad put TBL on last summer when my son was 13, I had never seen it so didn’t know it was inappropriate for that age, I’ll have to watch it because we only got 10 minutes in, ha.
The cast! Holy cow, it was magical! We need a “Dude” emoji ?
we could wear our bathrobes for work on Friday!!!
? that would be totally awesome. And in our slippers (bath slippers?) to the supermarket!
Yup, that would be awesome!
I only watched The Big Lebowsky once and it somehow did not quite work for me. The one scene that had me in stitches is where they want to distribute the ashes. Great acting though!
No Country for Old Men on the other hand is one of my top favourite movies.
I like and love most Coen brothers movies.
But I think No country for old men is their masterpiece, its still Coenesque but more restraint than in most of their other stuff. And the cinematography is to die for.
I also nominate “Fargo.”
Ah yes, it was the first movie by Coen brothers I saw.
Frances McDormand is amaaazing, I love her character.
And about the Blood Meridian movie, some attempts have been made…but they all failed to get past pre production phase, if I remember correctly.
And if the succeed…
I dont know if I want or need to see that movie (the book was perfect!), but I probably will, because I am a very curious person. Haha.
Have you read the book? And another by the same author is “The Road,” which is bleak, disturbing, relevant, and inspiring, all at the same time. ?? Cormac McCarthy!
And even more disturbing is that spell check changed “Cormac” to “Coronavirus” ?
I haven’t read the book, but I’ve been meaning to. That movie just haunted me for weeks. The actors were just brilliant.
Maybe you spell check has had an unfortunate encounter with covid 19
The movie version of “The Road” starred Viggo Mortensen. Just saying. The ending, however, was changed from the book version.
The only Cormac McCarthy ive read is Blood Meridian…well that was difficult. He writes beautifully.
But it was like watching Requiem for a dream…. One of the greatest rides ever but erhm never again(?), Well, at least not anytime soon. Its a book that gets under your skin.
Yes, difficult reading at times, but like most difficult things, worthwhile and enlightening, sometimes changing the reader on a fundamental level.
Read the book, decided I could not take the visuals so did not see the movie.
It’s a stunning movie, and most of the really gruesome things are nog actually on camera. Plus the film has Tommie Lee Jones’ voice!
Thanks! I did love the book and read the next one too, but even if the worst action is offscreen I don’t know if I want to live the story again. We’ll see, maybe later
It is a very disturbing film, I’ve rewatched it a number of times, but I always have to brace myself in a way. So I perfectly understand your reluctance. The visuals are stunning though and all the actors do such a great job.
Yes, I prefer ‘thought provoking’ and ‘difficult’ to mundaine themes. I love it when a book or movie still keeps you company after you finished it.
What is your favourite Cormac McCarthy book?
Jumping in here uninvited to say Blood Meridian! One day it will be filmed.
We taught “The Road” once in our team-taught freshman Honors course, and the prof lecturing on it, who has a young son, broke down crying during his lecture.
I can totally understand that. But, while the story is incredibly gut wrenching, I was surprised by the negative comments I heard on my way out of the movie.
For me personally, the absolute message of the movie is the unswerving power of love. Yes, I get the brutal parts, and was not surprised by those things, because when the thin veneer of civilization is gone, the violent human animal emerges. I’ve seen it and it’s no surprise. But the absolute beauty of his love and sacrifice for his son made me cry like a baby. To me, that’s what being human is all about. Humans are selfish, and when I witness real unselfish agape love- boy oh boy do I lose it. It’s so rare, but dazzling to witness. ?
Zoologist Elephant.
House twins! You smell great ?
Last night, I was looking for something and then found another thing totally unrelated. A decant of PG Felanilla a kind NSTer sent me a while back, which apparently got lodged under my drawer organizer.
SOTD is that gold mine find while I drink magma hot coffee and breakfast on Irish Soda Bread. Not as good as my granny made, but what is?
Falanilla! That’s a good one. Your breakfast sounds delicious too.
Not half bad- dry and crumbly in the best possible way. ?
I love Felanilla, one of my favourite gourmand irises.
It’s a good one. I wish I had more rime/money/space/ambItion because I think this line has a lot of great perfumes that I’d really enjoy…
I love those surprise findings! ?
Me too! Wouldn’t it be nice if I happened across a few dollars I misplaced? ?
Hey Twin! You smell great today. Love Felanilla!
Hi Twin! ✌?
Alas, its March..
I have a big birthday coming up this month. I already received probably the best perfume gift ever, my friend gave me an early present. She was at an antique shop and found an empty Shalimar baccarat bottle.
Dude take it easy, I am in Eau de Vanillers by L’Occitane and Shalimar for my own take on ode a la vanille.
Dudette, March is my Birthday month also! You smell great and that gift…! ?
Well, we are March birthday twins
What day does yours fall on, if you want to share. I will wear Omnia to honor you since I always think of you when I wear that fragrance.
Mine is the 4th, and a very thoughtful gesture wearing Omnia. I’d love to reciprocate if you’d like to divulge your day? I could wear Shalimar in your honor…?
29!
I told my kids I am turning 102
Old grampa joke: What day of the year is a command?
March FORTH!
LTSG, I bet your just turning 21! ?
ringthing, that is what my grandfather told me when I was 7. I’ve never forgotten it and it’s been a very useful motto for many years. ?
DUDETTE!!
You know it! ✌?
you smell lovely & happy early Birthday! My youngest daughter’s birthday is the same, and the exact 1/2 birthday of my oldest son – makes it easy to celebrate their 1/2 birthdays
Eagerly awaiting a package from BBW. I ordered some candles and two of them are gifts. I am going to work in a little bit and need a little bit of a relaxing perfume. So I am in Kyoto today.
Ah, you smell great Dawn.
Hi, dear friends, I smell tasty in Fils de Dieu today. Incidentally, I recently read The Cat in the Hat to an extremely cute and precocious two-year-old. He had a lot of questions about Things 1 & 2 that I had a hard time answering.
I haven’t had much time for NST lately. I’ve been spending all my non-work time trying to figure out what kind of job I want and which company I will do it at. I think I have a better idea by now, so I’ve sent in another dozen or so job applications. I got two swift rejections (fair), one preliminary meeting (tonight, hooray!), and a bunch of silence.
I also went on a little trip to Chicago for half a week! It was a Valentine’s present from my fiance, and we attended a taping of Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me, the NPR news quiz show that I’ve been listening to for 15 years. I got to meet the hosts and panelists and just generally had the time of my life. Apropos to NST, our hotel was just down the street from Merz, a lovely little perfume shop. There was very little there that I had been dying to sniff, but it was nice to be in a perfume shop again for the first time in ages. Chicago was extremely cold–when I left the Bay Area, it was 77 degrees around here, and when I landed in Chicago, it was 27 degrees–but it was dry and sunny, and I had just the most enormous coat, so I was still able to enjoy myself thoroughly.
Good luck with your preliminary meeting! ?
Thank you, pl67!
Happy to see you. Excellent work (re refining your job aspirations) – hope you find something worthy very soon. Your Chicago trip sounds great, also – what fun. (You also smell lovely, of course.)
Thank you, springpansy! I hope so too!
The trip was wonderful and full of delicious food
Good luck with your job search and upcoming meeting Koyel! When are you getting married?
Thanks, Coin-op! Haha…uh, the goal is to get married in May/June of 2021. Which means we really need to get our acts together and start working on wedding stuff. Ergh.
exciting! Congratulations!! my sister is getting married in October and is definitely gearing up with the details at this point.
Oh how exciting, congrats to her! Yeah, really need to get on it….
Wishing you the best on your job search, and I am SO envious that you went to the taping of WWDTM! I love that show and have listened to it for many years. You got to meet Peter Segal and everybody?? Extra envious! And Merz! What a great present ?
Thank you, ringthing, and how wonderful to find a fellow fan!!! Yes, we met Peter Segal, Bill Kurtis, Roxane Roberts, Luke Burbank, and Joel Kim Booster. Our show was the Will Arnett one. My fiance says he’s most looking forward to hearing the episode we attended the taping for to see if he can hear me laughing
I’ll watch for it! The show is also a podcast which is great because the broadcast time here is 10am on Saturday, so it’s easy to miss.
I used to listen on the radio as well. I grew up listening and watching Bill Kurtis because he was a news anchor out of Chicago when I lived in the burbs. I love the show for the simple reason that I’m dumbfounded by what people don’t know, and flabbergasted by what they do know. ?
Ah yes, I’ve only ever consumed it as a podcast! My generation is terrible at listening to or watching things at scheduled times. Hope you enjoy the show–we did!
Best of luck wishes on the job search. That show is a favorite of one of my best friends…she never misses it, so I can imagine how much of a treat it was for you.
Thank you, LizzieB! Has your friend persuaded you to give it a listen?? It’s such a great one.
Very good luck with your preliminary meeting!
Koyel, if you see this, can you post again the youtube link to the video where you are singing? You posted it awhile back and I was out of town & busy and then I lost the link before I could watch it.
Thank you, Robin!
And I feel so honored that you want to watch it
here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiKWpfcV7bg My solo/duet starts at 2:45; I’m the little Indian soprano. (But do watch the entire 6-minute song; it’s a good one, I promise!)
Oh how amazing, I can see why you were so excited!! And what a touching song, I had to google it … for anyone else who is interested, found this on another performance:
“The Modimo Trilogy is a combination of three hymns opening with “Modimo,” a Sotho song of awe at creation, and continues with “Izwi Lahlab’Inhliziyo Yami,” a confession of sin and proclamation of grace sung in Zulu. The piece concludes with “Ke Na Le Modisa,” an interpretation of Psalm 23 sung in Sotho.”
Thank you so much for sharing.
Ah yes, thanks for sharing that
It’s really important to the group that people understand what our songs are about, and sharing the explanation is essential to the spirit of the music.
And thank you; I am so glad you enjoyed it! Singing with that group is really special. Izwi has actually always been my favorite of the trilogy; I just love the power of those big, big notes. What’s funny is that I’ve soloed every part of the trilogy except Izwi. Someday.
Someday, Koyel!
Oh wow wow wow, you sound amazing!
And what a beautiful piece.
Thank you for sharing
Oh thank you, Jiji, that is so sweet of you <3 glad you enjoyed it!
Best of luck, Koyel! And the trip sounds like fun!
Thank you, Elisa P <3 just got back from the meeting, and it was great!
Best of luck, Koyel! Any employer will be lucky to have you!
Thank you, Holly <3 I hope they think so, too!
Good luck with your preliminary meeting Koyel! ? Oh, and I heard that very episode of “Wait, Wait…” yesterday!!! Very fun to hear that I know someone who was in that audience!
Thanks, Jalapeno <3 just got back from the meeting, and it went fine. Let's hope it turns into something!
Best of luck with the preliminary meeting! As to Chicago, I’ve been there for business and also for fun … it never goes out of style!
Thank you, hajusuuri! And I agree with you on Chicago
wearing Apres L’Ondee, smelling clove-like to me today, I would have never been into this scent pre-rabbit hole, but the more I wear it the more I love it.
You smell amazing!
I’m back in Gucci Memoire D’Une Odeur–and today I am actually enjoying it. Finally, after many road tests of this one, I am smelling it in all of its lady-like beauty. Reminds me a bit (now that I can smell it) of perfumes in the Chanel-Paris line. Needless to say, no relation to Day of the Dude!
I wore that yesterday, but it reminds me of CdC Odeur 53, it starts with the same hairspray note.
Wow. I do not get a hairspray note. But goodness knows, my nose has been totally unreliable with this one.
I don’t remember a hairspray note from that Gucci, either. I do remember that it was surprisingly tenacious on the paper strip I had sprayed.
SOTD!
Bendelirious, because well…Bendelirious.I have a 3-lifetimes’ supply so I might just as well enjoy it as often as possible. And it cheered me up on a cold and rainy pre-Fall day.
Happy Monday Kids.
XO
Thanks for the “kid” kid?
Happy Monday!
Haha!!
As long as we are still young at heart…44 is around the corner for me!!?✌??
Well, I remember when you had your picture up, you look fabulous!
Hi johanob, I hope you are doing ok and muddling through the low spirits you mentioned a while back. I didn’t comment then, but have been thinking of you since, and hoping the “black dog,” as some call it, has departed from your door. You smell amazing, I’m sure. I love the name of that perfume. ?
Thank you so much Deva,we march on.That damned black dog is lurking, but I’ll be OK!
HAPPY MONDAY!
And congrats on your new assignment coming up!The area sounds really beautiful!
?✌??
And THANK YOU!!! to all of you for the kind encouraging comments over the weekend! They did not go unnoticed, and I just re-read them all.
You guys are amazing, and I always feel the sincerity of NST people.
XO
I hope the cloud has lifted!
Just know that you are loved and adored always
Thank you my friend.✌???
Crazy busy at work and need armor. And…
SOTD = Chanel No. 19 EDP
…to the rescue!
https://www.instagram.com/p/B9Oo4i3hQEn/?igshid=4q8n9zm9pxh4
Seriously peeps, I must have received over 100 emails over the weekend and they haven’t stopped. One can only do one thing at a time so I am chillin’ a little before plunging back into work mode.
So, to answer some of the comments yesterday regarding Aedes de Venustas dicontinuing the perfume line, I may have misinterpreted but I am almost positive that Iris Nazarena as we know it will no longer be available.
Someone commented on cars parking nose out in spaces meant to be nose in. The lanes are marked for a reason — to fit as many cars as possible and are designed to make backing out safer. Personally, I do the pull through if I can (I have a Subaru Forrester so it’s mid-sized) and if not, as long as there is no car behind me when I start the backing in maneuver, I would back in to a space. If the space is mean for nose in parking, I park nose in. I do have a rear view camera with guide lines and that really helps!
And, since I answered the question in Undina’s inaugural ULG Saturday Question, I have between 500-600 bottles and manufacturer’s travel spray. I am confident about 90% of my collection (i.e. I know WHAT perfumes I have) but where they are is another matter. I have a good portion in my bedroom / walk-in closet and then some are stashed away in the living room cabinets and then finally the basement. ????♀️
500 to 600 bottled!!!
Donatella needs to give you her crown
Next time we will confess to you!!!! ?
LOL!
Just LOL sitting in my car, looking like a weirdo ?
There were naughtier confessions, just sayin’. Someone mentioned 2,000 – my brain can’t get there!
It’s an impressive collection: I had planned to have 365 bottles but because I sometimes misplace bottles I’ve settled to have around 200 (that includes my BUBs of which I have many).
That’s a good size. I will need to get over my aversion to giving away FBs even if I don’t wear a good number of what I own.
Sigh… went to Aedes website and saw they are out of stock on Oeillet Bengale travel sprays. Concerned about that being discontinued. Would be yet another favorite of mine lost to the ether. I’m just can’t see buying the big bottle.
Eeek. Maybe you can call them to find out if they have loose ones you can buy?
600? That’s pretty rockin?
I couldn’t get precise so that’s probably the higher end ?.
*Tipping my invisible hat* Wowzers!
Thank you, Deva!
Nice stash Hajusuuri! It’s pretty cool when we can “shop” in our collections,I think!
Agreed but sometimes I shop the shops!
Do you have the one’s in the bedroom displayed at all?
Only the ones I was too lazy to put away.
https://youtu.be/c3sOuEv0E2I
“Nuff said.
Too funny ?
Yes!?
I am planning a week of Greens, so i started with Bracken Woman. It smells like smashed greens and washing detergent to me, but that is better than it sounds.
Yeah, that does not sound appealing! Nor does the name Bracken.
!!! I thought it was just me on the name
I think there were some negative comments at the time! So we’re probably at least a bit of a small club.
When I do Spring perfumes, Bracken will be in the lineup!
It’s raining, plus Dr Seuss…I must wear something I would wear on a train, out in the rain, in the dark, with a goat, on a boat and in a tree..mmm with a goat what to wear with a goat? Should I smell like a mink coat? A root beer float? A spicy basenote? Or just grab a sample..that doesn’t smell like apple? Or pear, pear I cannot wear. And this I know, I will not smell like Gwyneth Paltrow. Oh no. I think today it will be, a cloud, a lovely cloud of Jersey:).
Fabulous! ????
Oh this truly made me lol ?? ? great job!
My smile of the day!!??
Thanks for the laugh! It was much needed! ?
Awesome! ?
Thank you Omega, for the poetry and for not smelling like Gwyneth!
Made my day!
Bravo! And extra credit for Jersey over Paltrow. . . !
Love your Dr. Seuss rendition and you smell terrific !
Lol thanks guys:)
Dr. Seuss for perfumistas! ??
Oh yay, maybe we should do this in addition to haikus!
Clever of you, and funny! I like Jersey too.
SOTD = end of my sample of Bengale Rouge. And on the buy bottle list it goes…
I think it’s on many a list…including mine.?
Oops! This was for meredifey above ⬆️
I decided to pull out my little bottle of Heaven, because, well, can’t get more chill than that. I need to spray more heavily, which I will do in a bit.
Before that I smelled of thumbprint cookie dough and jam. Next time I make them I need to play with oven temp. But..it gave me an excuse to use the little jar of strawberry lemon lavender preserves I bought at Christmas. So, so good.
Yum…those sound delicious!
Yum, thumbprint cookies were my absolute childhood favorite! I don’t think I’ve had them since my Mom made them.
Going with easy to wear office friendly perfumes this week. First up is 28 La Pausa EDT. I thunked the decant this morning but I have another one waiting in the wings.
Good news that I didn’t get around to posting this weekend is that on Friday my mom retired from her job of almost 43 years! She started working there when she was just 19. I’m excited for her to have all her time to herself.
Yay for mom, hope she loves her retirement!
I hope so too! Today she was able to go help my aunt unpack at the new house she moved into.
Congratulations to your mom, therabbitsflower!
Thanks, Jalapeno!
Congratulations to your mom!
Thank you!
Great news about your mom! Quite the accomplishment!
Thanks, lillyjo!
I’m wearing Twilly this morning. Drizzly but not too cold here.
Clear and warm here, at last.
I’m in the mood for Bois des Iles today.
Yum.
I decided on a vetiver week and started with Guerlain Vetiver.
Sounds like you have a great week lined up! All hail vetiver!
Sycomore for me! Looking forward to seeing what other vetivers you wear!
Still working on my decant of Willows Regime des Fleurs this week.
I started the week with Labdanum 18 from Le Labo.
A taste of spring today, warming sun and white clouds.
In Fendi Asja (Fendi, sigh, the house of so many discontinued glorious perfumes).
What’s your favorite Fendi?
WoW, lots to read today already.
I am wearing Monsillage Eau Fraiche. I adore the feathered bottle cap and birds across the back of the bottle. This is stronger and more in-depth than Acqua di Colonia’s classic cologne it has a fabulous lemon opening and then lingers well with an aromatic crisp and classy vibe. I feel dressed up Martha Stewart casual and need a convertible & Audrey Hepburn along for a fun adventure.
I really like this and hope it holds up in the heat. It feels like it will.
Happy Monday to you.
I must’ve shut off my alarm unconsciously this morning or set it for PM instead of AM, but I was up and out of the house in a record 15 minutes ? Made it in time to my monthly team meeting in the Bronx, phew! In need of a nap right now.
All this to say that I had to dig into my emergency sample stash in my purse so I’m wearing Jour d’Hermes Absolu, which is always fine by me and works with the spring-like weather today.
That’s a tough way to start a Monday You did dang well.
Oooooof. That is a rough start to the work week.
I’m wearing my always feel right perfumes this week. First up Alien leather version. I was really pleased this morning because my make up looked really nice. 2 hours into work I checked the mirror and I have no eyeliner under my right eye. Did I forget to apply it, or did it only wear off on one side? Idk, but I can’t get the left eye to be free of eyeliner, lol, I’m feeling very lopsided.
LOVE the leather version of Alien! You smell fabulous despite feeling lopsided. ?
Thanks, I know you love it too!
You may have started a trend!
LOL! Let’s hope not!
Wearing AG Folavril because it is still relatively warm here and it feels like spring and I want it to stay that way, but I know that March can often bring some big snow storms where I live, so I’m kind of pretending, for the moment, that spring is here!
Unintentionally participating in the cp by wearing an unmarked sample – why not relax and enjoy the ride? It’s supposedly Le Cri de blah blah but what I’m smelling doesn’t resemble anything close to what others have mentioned.
Now I’m curious to hear what you smell.
Chanel Sycomore for Monday strength after a less-than-great weekend!
You smell amazing! Sycomore always lifts the spirits.
beautiful scent !
Great choice!
Hope it’s a better week!
L’Ombre dans L’Eau dude.
Caron Parfum Sacre is my SOTD.
Commando for part of the day due to a doctor appointment. That was harshing my vibe. So as soon as I could, I put some perfume on.
SOTD = Rihanna Rogue. This is definitely a cooler weather scent for me, and it’s almost 60 here today. So my little bottle will go into “Winter Scent Storage” very soon.
Wow on your temps! We made it to 44 and I was happy!?
There’s a couple more days of that this week, and then it gets down to more seasonable temps by Friday.
Nice one but I think I swapped mine for something else!
This is one of the best celeb scents I have come across.
Commando so far today, but I’ll put on something that I find soothing for bedtime, probably Rahät Loukoum.
Went with the SL Rahat Loukoum. Have a good night, folks!
Wearing Reglisse Noire tonight.
Thinking about the CP this week, a coffee scent ☕ may be in order but I don’t think I have any. I also noticed that Demeter has a White Russian fragrance in it’s line-up.
