Dolce & Gabbana Lemon, Orange & Pineapple ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 4 February 2020 7 Comments

Dolce & Gabbana will launch the Fruit Collection, a "fresh and playful trio" of fragrances: Lemon, Orange and Pineapple.

Lemon ~ solar fruity fresh; perfumer Jérôme Épinette. "The olfactory creation of the fragrance conjures the happy and dynamic atmosphere of the markets in Palermo, with a golden pyramid of sweet, fragrant lemons, grown under the sunrays on the Sicilian coastline. The fragrance opens with a classic cologne accord of Sicilian lemon and Calabrian bergamot oils, cold-pressed from the zest, enriched with lemon tree petitgrain, distilled from the leaves. A splash of ginger essence brings an unexpected twist – the tangy freshness of the root preserved through the supercritical CO2 extraction process, an organic method that guarantees respect for the raw material. Finally, a mossy drydown of Haitian vetiver anchors the scent with a woody, earthy base."

Orange ~ fruity floral; perfumer Jérôme Épinette. "A symbol of love, fruitfulness and positivity that recalls the sweet aroma of Sicily’s iconic citrus groves: the sublime scent of orange fruit, leaves and flowers mingles with the bouquet of freshly picked aromatic herbs. A juicy burst of the highest quality Sicilian oranges and Calabrian bergamot oils, cold-pressed from the peel the moment they are picked. A green facet of fresh basil is added to this sunny citrus accord, while sweet orange blossom brings a delicate and honeyed touch of white petals. Beneath, a haze of powdery iris suffuses a warm base of amber and sensual musk."

Pineapple ~ fruity gourmand; perfumer Marie Salamagne. "Coming from South America as the symbol of welcome and hospitality, the pineapple came to Sicily and became a strong symbol in the island’s decorative arts and architecture. This fragrance perfectly captures the sweet tang of pineapple using Smell-the-Taste® technology, a cutting-edge technique developed to vividly translate living aromas into fragrances. A splash of juicy Sicilian mandarin oil enhances the accord of pineapple, while the radiant scent of sun-soaked jasmine sambac creates an exotic, seductive heart. As a final touch, addictive pure vanilla absolute brings out the spicy sensuousness of the orchid pod, accented by facets of amber and moss."

Dolce & Gabbana Fruit Collection Lemon, Orange and Pineapple will be available in 150 ml Eau de Toilette.

They do sound fun, although I am generally let down by D&G so not getting too excited.

    I can’t recall a D & G fragrance that I’ve loved, but the lemon sounds awfully appealing.

Yeah, that’s about where I am. They generally sound more appealing than they turn out to be. I would be happy to be surprised, though…those caps are great.

I am beyond excited for these, especially the pineapple one. I’m hoping it will be similar to my beloved L’Artisan Ananas Fizz (although from the description it sounds a bit different.) I really hope we get them in the States.
