Mugler Alien Mirage & Alien Man Mirage ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 1 February 2020 12 Comments

Thierry Mugler has launched Alien Mirage, a new flanker to 2005's Alien fragrance, and Alien Man Mirage, a new flanker to 2018's Alien Man.

Alien Mirage ~ "A herald of new horizons, the new Alien Mirage Eau de Toilette is a Floral Aquatic Amber fragrance composed of three revelations: - A Mineral Revelation, enhanced by spicy notes of Pink Peppercorn. - A Mirage Revelation, illuminated by the tender and generous notes of Seringa Flower and Lotus Flower. - A Radiant Revelation, rich in White Amber and Hinoki Wood notes. Alien Mirage leaves behind a pure and crystalline trail, wielding extraordinary feminine strength." In 60 ml.

Alien Man Mirage ~ "Alien Man Mirage is a luminous Woody Aquatic Leathery Eau de Toilette that combines the mineral vibration of Juniper with the fresh, aquatic notes of Reed. Enhanced by the powerful, sophisticated aromas of Leather and Patchouli, the fragrance leaves behind a carnal, luminous trail. A fragrance radiating with power." In 100 ml.

Mugler Alien Mirage and Alien Man Mirage are limited editions.

    Alien Mirage?
    For delusional believers in aliens?

Persolaise tried this on his video review last week and didn’t care for it at all. Not being an aquatic person I doubt this will be for me.

I will give it a try if I see it. The last few Alien flankers have been very dissaointing to me. The Angel Croisiere flankers are nice, though.

Lotus flower was big in skin care for awhile, then it went away. I don’t know what it’s supposed to smell like either.

Aquatic notes are usually a very big NOPE for me, so I won’t even bother.

Did any of the Alien scents have promise? Beyond thinking the bottles look like an hommage to Ambassador Kosh of Babylon 5, I have no information about the juices…

To me, the Alien Essence Absolue was gorgeous and full bottle worthy.

The original alien men is something quite bland and uninspiring and this just seem to further increase that. I suspect the strange Mugler era is over

I really wish there was a Mugler I liked. Their ads and bottles are gorgeous. There is something very HP Lovecraft about the alien bottles.
