5 from Carven ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 5 November 2019 11 Comments

Carven has launched a new set of five men's fragrances in the travel-oriented Collection Carven: Paris-Alexandrie, Paris-La Havane, Paris-Prague, Paris-Tanger and Paris-Shenandoah.

A new tribute to the adventurous soul of Madame Carven and her talents as a couturier and perfumer. The brand celebrates men with a collection of exceptional fragrances, the next step on the journey. The Carven Collection is expanding by a collection of 5 exceptional fragrances, 5 heady adventures, 5 travel notebooks, 5 olfactory escapes....

Paris-Alexandrie ~ "Deep in the heart of a forest near Alexandria, where little Egyptian violet leaves thrive in the middle of the clearing like some desert oasis. on a carpet of moss, violet leaves soak in woody, amber and moist notes, whose aromas float on the warm Egyptian breeze."

Paris-La Havane ~ "In the heart of Havana, dive into a masculine, elegant atmosphere. A singular world of subdued ambiance, big leather armchairs, and clouds of cigar smoke. A leathery, sensual scent is paired with the spicy vapors of Cuban tobacco."

Paris-Prague ~ "After an enthralling day in Prague, escape to Bohemian Paradise and enjoy a drink delicately flavoured with spicy, aromatic Juniper Berries. A delicate creation perfumed with an aromatic, spicy Berry. A warm, intoxicating masculine fragrance."

Paris-Tanger ~ "Celebration of the iconic Moroccan Cypress, a rare and precious variety bathed in the Mediterranean sunshine. A citrus duo lights up a generous, resinous cypress, warmed by the Moroccan sun." Additional notes include grapefruit and mandarin.

Paris-Shenandoah ~ "Escape to Shenandoah National Park in America, in deep Virginia, shaded with majestic cedars that have taken root in this dense, deep landscape. the sensuality of the Virginia cedar and the elegance of the atlas cedar come together as a distinguished duo. Their masculine strength asserts its power in a spice-scented breeze." Additional notes include amber.

Carven Paris-Alexandrie, Paris-La Havane, Paris-Prague, Paris-Tanger and Paris-Shenandoah are available in 125 ml Eau de Parfum.

If I wasn’t so tired I would go see what the word is on the French site; might be a translation issue?

I have a friend who gets seriously freaked out by the word “moist”. Some of this copy would have been torture for her to read.

I’ve always wanted to try the first ones, specially the Paris-Sao Paulo, but never found it for a good price to purchase it blindly =/ Does Carven still does fashion? Because at a store perspective this could work, otherwise too many new fragrances indeed

I think everyone’s running out of names. “Let’s just put Paris in it like Chanel did.” Or Gres putting out a pink Cabochard Cherie.
