Happy Almost-Friday and happy Johnny Appleseed Day! (And don't forget the freebiemeet is this weekend.) What fragrance are you wearing?
I am in Lush The Voice of Reason, although I'm pretty much past the umami stage at the moment.
Reminder: on 9/27 we're going to Flavortown...wear a scent that you associate with one of the five basic tastes (sweet, sour, salty, umami or bitter). Triple bonus points for starting on Monday and doing all 5. Suggested by Regina.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Flavor: sweet
SOTD Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial
Shalimar body powder (again)
Lovely combination !
Yes, its just my go to since I can’t figure out how to dress/perfume for this weather. Cold in the morning and hot and sweaty in the afternoon. The powder helps (with the sweat)
Also drinking French Breakfast tea (adding this for the sweetness CP)
By the Fireplace. Umami, more or less.
Close enough. There are only just so many umami choices in perfume.
Eve and Pandora.
Just an fyi, I saw Sephora is now selling Phlur travel sprays. The packaging is pretty cool.
Trying to enable, lillyjo? ?
Who me??
Testing out the new Tauer L’Air des Alpes Suisses. I like it, it’s fresh and outdoorsy, veers a teensy bit masculine at ont point, but then corrects course to become completely masculine. No sweetness at all, and I don’t especially smell what some refer to as « Tauerada » base. If you liked L’Eau, this is worth a try.
Thanks for the review. I will probably order a sample.
Thanks for the heads up.
Thanks for the mini review! I feel I have to try this since I spend a lot of time hiking in the Swiss Alps each summer – but I find most of Andy’s scents go to that “Tauerade” place eventually. Still, I’m super intrigued by this. I liked l’eau well enough but wasn’t super excited by it.
Eschmeling, were you the one looking for root beer scents? I find Alien to have a root beer vibe. Also, Solstice Scents had a Root Beer Float Creamy Whipped Soap which smells exactly like a Root Beer Float! It’s sold out though. I was just looking at the website and saw something called Crimson Sap & Sassafras which came up when Imsearched for “root beer”.
Nope, not me – root beer had not even occurred to me as a note ?
Typo! That should say « becomes completely unisex. »
I’m wearing Demeter Tomato, for umami.
Ooh, that’s a good choice for the CP. I’m going to go see if I can find my little mini of Nina Ricci Delices (the one in the green bottle that smells like tomato leaf).
I’m in Eau des Merveilles for its salty note today. Umami is a tough one for me – I thought about doing PG Cuir d’Iris for that brief sweet-pickle vibe in the first five minutes, but maybe there’s an argument for Memo Italian Leather and its tomato-leaf note. We shall see.
Hey Twin! You made the right choice!
To me, tomato leaf is bitter. Tomato itself is umami. But these are all tough, and personal!
Wearing Profumum Roma Ninfea. Beautiful!
Thanks for your good vibes yesterday. The nightmare is not over, as we thought. “The house is being cleaned”. Four employees were let go yesterday and we are expecting more people to go at any moment in the next couple of weeks. We already know there is another group ready to be fired between today and tomorrow. The stress is at the highest level. There are already rumors that sues will be coming very soon from those who left yesterday. Chaos is reigning here. I am praying that I end up untouched, but the risk is very high. I have a positive attitude and whatever it comes… it comes.
Happy almost Friday, everyone!
I’m really sorry you’re going through all this. I’m wishing you the best outcome for you. Shame on the company for letting everything get chaotic.
What an incredibly stressful circumstance. And, I agree with lillyjo – shame for messing with people’s lives in this way.
You smell gorgeous.
So sorry to hear about your highly stressful situation, I really hope things work out for u.
I am so glad you have such a positive attitude, perfumelover67. I hope things go well.
Good gosh, what a nightmare! Hoping everything works out in your favor!✌?
Adding my well wishes! It sounds like a horrible situation.
What a awful way to work. It doesn’t make sense that the company would fire you since they moved you to that office because you’re good at your job. Maybe you’d be better off working elsewhere for your own sake. Sending hugs.
Sounds really awful! I’ve worked in 2 places that conducted layoffs and remember the fear and anxiety everyone experienced while also being expected to show up and do their work. So bad. I hope for a good outcome for you!
Been through that, and it’s just so hard. Nerve wracking. Hang in there.
This sounds awful, sorry! How is anyone expected to perform when their future is on the line like that? Crazy. Sending good vibes!
Hugs, perfumelover67.
I most certainly do not wish for you to be involuntarily unemployed. But if it were me, I would be seriously and assiduously looking to find another job at a company that treats their employees properly. You deserve so much better than this.
2nd that!!!
Good luck perfumelover67.
Live long enough, work long enough, this will happen either to you or all around you. Have had both happen to me more than once.
It’s hard to stay calm in the chaos of emotions. I am like many others here, sending you good energy to manage through this no matter the outcome.
Hope it will end well for you
Your work situation sounds horrible. Sending positive vibes!
Oh yuck! That IS horrible. Maybe it’s time to update your resume, if you haven’t already?
I’m so sorry! I hope you come out on the other side; but totally understand if you decide to move on and work where they appreciate you and your skillset after all the dust settles.
Wear your favorite perfume tomorrow as a suit of armour and extra force-field around you. Sending you good thoughts for the day!
Sending good vibes, pfl67! The RIFs are happening all over. The latest trend is pre-communicating, hoping people will leave on their own accord and guess what, a good number have, landing good / better jobs. For our floor, that communication came 2 weeks ago. The place was abuzz with twosies looking for a private place (hence the people just barging in to the conference room I was using). More people than I thought will be impacted over the next several quarters and no hierarchical nor titular level were spared.
I’m wearing Lime, Basil and Mandarin (Aldi ‘tribute’) for bitter.
That works!
Hello all!
Jour d’Hermes parfum today,
a perfectly balanced golden floral. The parfum is definitely a rounder, smoother affair, with a richer rose (to my nose). Absolute heaven.
You smell great Coumarin!
I need to send you some of you haven’t tried it! I have a ridiculous number of BUBs.
Ack forgot about the freebiemeet! Will you remind us tomorrow too?
I’m in for a long day as I’m out in the field training and being support for employees using a new system. Wearing Sel de Vetiver for salty.
I will try to remember! (not a joke!)
Wearing Goutal Sables for Sweet and salty (and interesting). Great when it is pouring with rain. It gets a bit greener everyday here. I’m actually loving all this water although I do keep forgetting my raincoat.
I adore Sables..you smell fabulous
You smell lovely!
Day 3 adulting.
Day 4 Bengale Rouge.
Well, this is turning into a rather burdensome behavioral streak, amiga. Thank goodness you’re smelling terrific throughout.
PSA for anyone who may be interested, Indigo has BR in stock. I saw it last evening. Hopefully, they still have it today.
Never mind… it’s out of stock there as well.
Just got my sample last night, immediately swiped some on. Aside from the initial blast of cinnamon, BR smells very similar on me to Shangri La by Hiram Green. BR is not a scent that projects a lot, but longevity is impressive.
Interesting comparison. On me Shangri La was waaaay more fruity/peachy and maybe somewhat less dense. Love Shangri La as well though and I wish i had bought the 10ml travel spray when they were still available….
For me Shangri La is Mitsouko without the moss. Bengale Rouge seems very different. It reminds me more of Felanilla with it’s woody vanilla/orris.
Are you sure it’s not the Bengale Rouge? I’d be tempted to test out switching fragrances at this point.
I would be thinking the same thing!
Thank goodness for perfume!
Sampling DSH Amouse Bouche for sweet today since it opens with a strawberry note
Ah, good call!
Wearing Elie Saab’s Essence No. 9: Tubereuse….mmmm.
I’m curious about this one. How does it compare to other tuberose that you’re familiar with?
Take Malle’s Carnal Flower, reduce its bombast by roughly 50%, then remove its eucalyptus, melon and coconut facets, and add a smidge of cinnamon. I love and have worn CF for many years but No. 9 is easier to wear, more easily accessible from a price perspective (it’s available sometimes at discounters for under $100), and has fantastic longevity.
Thanks!
L’Occitane Pamplemousse Rhubarb — sour and sweet.
no tea today?
That’s s good one!
I’m having a rare perfume free day. Feeling tired and headachy and generally frazzled.
Baked a yummy banana and dark chocolate chip loaf cake to help me feel better, it was just the ticket with a nice cup of English breakfast!
pass me a slice per favore
That sounds delicious. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Yum. I hope you feel better!
Ah, that cake does wonders. Hope the day gets better.
Ugh. I hope that tomorrow is better for you. Your cake sounds like it’s definitely a step in the right direction. ?
Your cake sounds delish.
ELDO You Or Someone Like You for sour today, specifically the sour of a really yummy summer cocktail. (With the temps we’ve been having, it’s still summer for me!)
Wore that one last night–hot night out and I wanted something refreshing that wasn’t just citrus.
You smell great!
I did not think about the cp this morning but my sotd is def Sweet
man in black, by bvlgari
I read some where that Bvlgari is coming out with a book..maybe about the history of the company not sure that includes perfume
Could be this book?
https://www.rizzoliusa.com/book/9788891824325/
Gorgeous stuff.
I love to look at expensive jewelry, cant afford it though and if i could I probably would not buy it.
I am not comfortable wearing bling. And I just dont like the feeling of too much stuff hanging on me haha. also afraid of losing it hahahah.
I wear simple, small and cheap earrings. My most expensive buy is one pair of small golden hoops (bought them at the Metropolitan Museum, replicas from a pair in their collection).
And I wear rings on my fingers.
But no bracelets, no necklaces.
yes
That bookstore that you have the link, we are in sync, because that is one of my favorite bookstores in the city!
Strand being my first
Jiji, I too wear cheap earrings, mainly because I keep losing them. Just lost one this week in fact. What on earth can I do with the odd ones out…?
I have a collection of orphan earrings, most of them of the French wire type because it is too much trouble to wear a stopper.
?
Sweet? Orange? Seville a l’Aube. So pretty, bottle almost empty. Hoping they have not reformulated this in any way. Has anyone purchased this recently and can talk about a comparison?
My bottle is older so I can’t compare, just remarking that you smell wonderful
I’m wearing Perris Monte Carlo’s Santal du Pacifique – bitter.
PSA for those in the LA area: Eden Botanicals is having an event at Orris Perfumery on Saturday., 9/28. You can check for more info under the NST at Twitter zone on this page. Pretty cool that they have so many raw materials available to sniff!
Sounds great! I wish some of the perfumeries here would do workshops.
I know!
I bet Scentfully Sue would do it for a group of us …
That sounds so awesome!
I thought so too!
I’m trying for bitter with Baume du Doge. I don’t get the orange in it at all. It’s a smoky incense, saffron, myrrh, cedar, and vetiver. It’s like a desert wind. I bought a bottle years ago and almost never wear it, but should probably do it more often. It’s an extremely dry scent.
I also have a bottle I bought years ago and never wear. Time to drag it out!
Such a great scent. I am always wishing I owned it but maybe I would never reach for it either.
Same for Paestum Rose. Don’t know why I don’t wear them. I wonder if there’s just something about perfume in cans that is unappealing?
I really liked that one, and its story.
You smell great. You never hear of it now.
Got my morning cleaning done. Vacuuming the whole downstairs, dishes are done and put away, cellphone bill paid, all the while, wearing Tigress Musk. Getting into the shower and then eat some lunch. I have a craving for Amouage Memoir. I am not exactly happy with how the Chicago shows turned out. Chicago Med was pretty stupid with the storyline, I think that a couple other characters in Fire should have died and PD just wasn’t that great.
Dawn, have you had a chance to try the new Tauer Alpes Suisses yet? I have a sample I can send along if you’re interested. Shoot me an email: shelp216 (at) gmail.
grrrrrrrrrr holyneroli, I was disappointed with Chicago Med, too.
Guess I will always miss E.R.
Sorry, this was to Dawn!
Encre Noire today, because vetiver often reads as sour to me.
Holly’s PSA about the Eden Botanicals event reminded me that Indigo Perfumery also has an upcoming event on Oct 10. It’s a free workshop focused on sandalwood and incense: https://www.indigoperfumery.com/products/sandalwood-and-incense-an-exploration-workshop
I’m going with a friend and I would love to meet some NSTers there!
That is so interesting…I was thinking Vetiver Tonka was a combo of umami and sweet!
That sounds like fun! I’ve been really impressed by their customer service, and I would love to visit the store.
Twins with SheriG in Eau des Merveilles for salty. Every time I wear it, I wonder why I don’t wear it more often.
You smell great!
Ive drained my Eau de M travel mini this summer and I miss it soo much
(I have Eau de M bleue…but its quite different)
It’so good! ?
Started with a small, cautious dab of Lolita Lempicka Elle L’Aime, from a dabber sample, on the back of one wrist- Sweet. Maybe too sweet for me. Kinda fun but I was hoping it would have more notable lime (mostly coconut, vanilla, and floral), so I went with a full wearing of OJ Frangipani for that delicious tart lime. Ahhhh.
Interesting to read about tastes in Eastern medicine and particularly about craving and aversion and the body’s attempt to find physiological and emotional balance.
Today was a good day for a tart/sour scent.
Yes! Cuts through the humidity nicely.
Frangipani is soooo good!
Started out in Unter den Linden–which faded, then applied Prada’s Infusion Fleur d’Oranger, which I can no longer smell either. Maybe my nose is broken?
Missed last night’s episode of the country music documentary for a surprisingly dull Macbeth at our local Shakespeare theater, which is an outdoor amphitheater in the hills. The noise from cows, owls, and coyotes often competes with the actors on stage . .. So boring was the performance last night however, I kept thinking–‘I could be home inside watching tv!’

I am still enjoying the King Must Die
One of my friends whom noticed I am taking a liking to these fiction greek mythology books invited me to a show on Friday. Here is the link
http://armoryonpark.org/programs_events/detail/antigone
Hopefully it won’t be a snooze like your event and I would be wishing to be home reading…
Gosh. Antigone. I remember reading the play in high school, but have no other memory of it other than a lot of people die. Looks beautiful in the photo!
Am currently reading ‘She Said”, which is giving me a slow-mo aneurysm–but in a good way, I think.
yes, its done by a Japanese group with a Buddhist twist..
It just started and the night we are going is sold out.
I will keep you posted
This may be a bit of a spoiler for folks who haven’t seen the Country Music documentary, but I thought that last night’s episode was the weak link in the bunch. YMMV.
Oh really? That actually makes me feel better. I was imagining while I was struggling through the longest preamble to the murder of Macduff’s family everyone else was yucking it up with Dolly!
It seemed like that last episode was a little rushed in trying to wrap things up, where the other episodes were a little more leisurely in examining a given time frame.
I loved it because they featured the Judds. One of my favs. Wynonna has an amazing voice. So talented. I loved all of it though. I grew up listening to Country so it was all good for me.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the series very much.
Oh sure. I understood what you meant but I really enjoyed all episodes.
Sad the performance was such a disappointment!
Hello! I snuck in some sour this morning w/ Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose shower gel, but now it’s Tea for Two all afternoon.
Smelling great today!
I’m sampling today and I thought I could get points by doing “Bois Farine” for umami – but it doesn’t smell like bread or flour, it smells exactly like woodruff! In Germany woodruff (“Waldmeister”) is a syrup flavor. When you find it in the woods, it doesn’t smell at all until it’s wilted a little.
Books about herbs say that when sweet woodruff is dried, it smells like hay. How far into that direction does Bois Farine go for you?
Just woodruff, no hay.
Mandragore for the CP sour or maybe bitter category. I found it on eBay for a steal in the old masculine bottle style which is unusual but attractive.
It does remind me of Ninfeo Mio at some point. They have similar green dna .
I have never smelled your SOTD but I do love Ninfeo Mio
I remember smelling “something” recently that reminded me of Ninfeo Mio, and now I can’t recall what it was. I enjoyed whatever it was, though.
Borneo 1834 from my beloved bell jar. A dusting of bitter cacao.
Found the perfect townhouse to move to only six blocks or so from where I live. Fingers crossed I have the winning ticket, multiple offers were being made.
Hope your offer is selected, good luck!
Good luck! You smell great.
Best of luck!
I hope that your offer is accepted! Good luck! ?
thankyou!! so many perfume bottles to pack.
Good luck! ☘?
Good luck!
Your perfume selection is a winner! I almost chose that one today for bitter, also.
I hope you get your perfect townhouse!
Good luck, apsara.
Good luck!!!
Myhrre imperial and just tested from a strip Valentino Born in Roma. I like this one.
I also tested on a strip the Valentino
what did you think?
How funny! I tested from InStyle magazine. You? My first impression was the Valentino was a noir floriental. I need to read the notes. What did you think? Oh, I dropped my Kilian lipstick and the stick broke ? maybe I can slightly melt it and re attach.
Me too! The one with Jennifer A on the cover
Pause.
What happened to your beloved lippy?
Ha yes I have that exact magazine. I dropped the lipstick on my tile floor the other day. I went to use it and the lipstick part had broken off from the holder and just dropped out into my hand. Probably more technical terms I cannot think what they are.
You should contact BK. It’s mucho dinero for that lippy
The color is too gorgeous to give up
I just saw the ad for Born in Roma earlier this evening on TV. Talk about timing… ⏱
oh I have to look for the ad. I’ve seen a lot of the new Dior Joy commercials lately.
Doing salty with Sel Marin today. Just one more workday, then were going to Burgundy for two weeks!
Started to plan next years holidays, maybe combined with a wedding ?
Enjoy Burgundy….i miss France, I hope the weather will be okay…well at least not too rainy
…and erhm wedding….your wedding or somebody else’s? ☺️
My own…
Congratulations!
This is all very exciting! Tell us more!
Congrats on the wedding so I guess the boyfriend graduated to fiancé status?
I went to Burgundy a long time ago. I was going to split the driving from Paris to Burgundy with a friend but the only rent-a-car we could get was a stick shift and I don’t know how to drive one. We stayed at a small b&b in a castle.
Ooohhh enjoy Burgandy! As well as holiday/wedding planning!
It sounds like you have some wonderful things to look forward to in the next year!
Started the day in Hiris … not really foody except for the brief carrots at the opening. Now that the sun is out I put on some Pacific Lime, which is more sweet than tart on my skin.
Both of those are good!
SOTD = St. Clair Scents First Cut
I am doing a tandem CP of featuring a newly acquired perfume and associating it with a taste.
This started off with a citrus blast on top, then quieted down to a resinous green hay, very beautiful and reminiscent of Aftelier Bergamoss! As to taste, I’ll categorize this as umami since it doesn’t fit the other 4 “normal” tastes ?
https://www.instagram.com/p/B24bTm9h8Ec/?igshid=nmab38fy3vob
I just signed up for Sniffapalooza Saturday (October 26). Anyone else going besides me and thegoddessrena?
Enjoy Sniffapalooza!
Thank you!
shocked that you are liking First Cut because it has a hefty dose of lavender absolute and I remember that lavender is not one of your favorite notes.
No Sniffapalooza for me..would you believe I have never gone? Hoping you have fun !
and I am looking forward to your impressions of Eve and Pandora! They are both gorgeous to me..chock full of naturals including orris butter and oakmoss….Diane did a wonderful job of really showcasing the naturals and using the synthetics as supporting players..I think this is why St Clair Scents has pretty much become my all time favorite house.
And funnily enough, I don’t smell the lavender (just like it was absent in Mon Guerlain). I think when I wear my 20 sprays it may be more prominent ?. I don’t really mind lavender.
And one of these times, you need to go to Sniffa because not only do I want to meet you, I also want to see you bounce around!
Twenty sprays! I don’t know First Cut, but lavender is all I can smell in Mon Guerlain.
I tested Mon Guerlain when it first came out and it was a smooth velvety lavendervanilla for me. I received sample recently and it smelled different. It reminded me of Prada Candy the second time. I was wondering if they refo’d it already? Unless the sample was off?
Song of the day = Gordon Lightfoot’s “Sundown”. ?
I have sneezed so much today that my abs hurt. Looks like I now have a full fledged head cold. Donkey balls.
SOTD = Niki de Saint Phalle EdT, from the sample stash for bitter.
Blech colds are the worst. There’s a wave going around here too, hope you stay as comfortable as possible while you wait it out. You certainly smell great
Thanks ringthing! Right now, I’m in sweatpants and a hoodie.
Feel better, Jalapeno! Thanks for the song ???
You’re welcome lillyjo! I heard it on the radio this morning and thought “Hey, that is the PERFECT song of the day!” ??
Oh oh…feel better, jalapeño. At least you can still smell!
Thank you Hajusuuri! You are right. My sense of smell is still A-OK. I do have some really BIG perfumes that I can wear if that changes, though.
Ugh feel better soon.
Thanks KellyC! I’m taking it one day at a time.
Oh. Poor You! I hope tomorrow is better.
I was drinking warm water with 1/4″of a fresh squeezed lemon with some of the pith and a small amount of honey when I was sick first thing every morning before eating. It did help.
I like Niki because it’s a little odd.
Advil and cough drops are my very good friends right now. So is hot tea. ☕
Ugh, I hate the constant sneezes+watery eyes. I hope you start drying out soon!
No watery eyes for me, thank Heavens! That’s usually reserved for allergy misery. The crud showed up early this year, IMO.
When I had what a doctor called “the creeping crud” a couple of years ago, I pulled a rib muscle from coughing. A nurse practitioner said to fold up a towel and put it against my ribs to cushion them against the jarring of the cough. Perhaps a folded up towel would help cushion your abs?
I don’t have more advice than what you know yourself, I don’t believe. Just keep drinking that echinacea tea!
New job has had me too scattered to post lately, but I have been reading…and trying new things! I’m finally trying some Nicolai scents and have loved everything I’ve sampled so far.
Today is an old thing, though: Jasmin Angelique for bitter.
What are some Nicolais you like? It’s one of my favorite houses.
The four I’ve tried are Neroli Intense, Just Un Reve, Sacrebleu Intense, and Odalisque. Each one feels special, but I feel the most at home in Odalisque.
Also, what are your favorites? What else should I try?
I like Odalisque too. Le Temps d’Une Fete is my very favorite and it’s discontinued but Sheri G swapped some at last spring’s swapmeet. Vanille Tonka is my very favorite vanilla, it’s dark and smoky, and New York is a masculine but it’s a great citrus that’s fresh and dark at the same time. Fig Tea, L’Eaux Mixte & Chic are all great for summer. There’s a lot I haven’t tried but I’ve always been impressed by the quality and small bottle option.
Thank you! Everyone mentions Le Temps d’Une Fete, so it must have been a beauty. I will definitely keep exploring. The small bottles are a definite perk.
Perhaps when you get used to your new job, we could meet up. I’ll be at the Regal Cinema in Downingtown in the next couple of days to check out what times Downton Abbey is playing. And we shop at the Wegman’s there every so often.
I got the Nicolai samples that were recommended above in a freebiemeet or swapmeet, if you want to try them.
That is so kind of you! I would love that.
neyronrose at gmail dot com
Please do e-mail me when you get the chance.
It’s so breezy and cool that I’ve shut the windows. This is my favorite weather and all of my spice scents are clamoring to be worn – in my head, anyway. Today’s choice is an old favorite, Donna Karan Black Cashmere. Love, love, love.
Love that one. I bought a vintage bottle but the scent had mellowed out to cloves and cloves with a side of cloves. I was so disappointed. It’s such a beauty when intact!
I turned off my A/C but may need to turn it back on again because it’s warming up again.
Yes it’s supposed to heat up here too, calling for a high of 88F October 1st which is just wrong ?
Definitely cool in the mornings where I am at. The afternoons are still short-sleeve weather, though. Not that I mind!
Hey everyone! I have been sick all week, ugh.. of course the week I was going to get a flu shot. I haven’t worn any perfume since Sunday, which has a funny story-
I work with a young man who likes to flirt with the young ladies. He was talking to one of them, as I walked by, and I hear her say ” I think it’s Lillyjo” so I turn around to ask what it’s about and she says ” he says I smell good, but I think it’s you!” Lol, I said to him, I can’t believe you gave someone else my perfume compliment ? I was wearing Allure edp
Blergh on being sick. I hope you’ve recovered! And congrats on the perfume compliment and it sounds like that flirtation is going nowhere or the “girl” would have taken credit for smelling good!
I’m not feeling that much better yet, I’m really hoping to turn the corner tomorrow. I thought the same thing about the girl, good thing I walked by when I did! Lol
Ha! Love that story! Feel better soon!
So funny! ?
Hope you feel better soon!
Another sickie. You need to load up on your vitamin C. I hope you feel better soon!
Funny story, but bummed out to hear that you & I are “being sick” twins! I’d much rather we were perfume twins. ?
Ha! Great story and nice she gave you the credit- or she was trying to pass him off to you, lol. I hope you start feeling better- I feel something might be brewing, myself
Jungle L’Elephant for the dose of spice. For me, this one is more savory than sweet. Just a spray on my arm has lingered all day.
Hey congrats on the house! What does under contact mean? Also, I’m sorry about your toe.
We have negotiated and agreed on a purchase price and the purchase agreement has been signed and we are under escrow!
And thanks!
Oh got it!
The Elephant is about 50/50 for sweet and spicy on me. It’s delicious! ?
Put on some Wowilla oil, tempered with Guerlain Vetiver. So far so good!
Good evening, lovely NST folks! Trying Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt for a salty note.
Yesterday at bedtime, I tried Serge Lutens La Myrrhe. I didn’t find it bitter at all. I thought it was very beautiful.
I may go with a sample of a chypre perfume for a bitter note at some point when I’m not in the house.
I didn’t get any bitter when I tried La Myrrhe, either.
It is!!
Replying to KellyC
Finished a work week of 28 La Pausa. Turns out it works really well as an office scent, albeit a pretty fancy one.
It reminds me of the partial bottle of Amouage Dia a friend found in a thrift store and passed along to me, which I wore at work quite happily. Didn’t stump up for a full bottle of Dia and don’t think I will for La Pausa, only because I am a working stiff who can’t pay Rich Lady prices. Ah well…
Nice find on the Amouage at the thrift store! I should check out my local shops although I probably won’t be so lucky.
You smelled beautiful in La Pausa.
