Hump Day and Creamsicle Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm getting double points (yes, I made that up) in Kerosene Unforsaken for the 3rd creamsicle day in a row.
Reminder: on 8/16, wear a fragrance by Kerosene, Keiko Mecheri or Kai, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter K.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Denis Durand Couture on a nice cool day.
Ooo that’s a good one! You smell great!
I am wearing Hermes Le Jardin de Monsieur Li and drinking a cup of English breakfast tea.
We are leaving for Rome today !!
I love the Gerber daisy photo, Robin
Have a safe trip! Enjoy!
Have a great trip!
Enjoy your trip! Can’t wait to hear all about it!
Have a wonderful trip!
Have a great time!!
Yay, safe travels Barq!
Enjoy the trip! Safe travels with no delays! ✈
Have a fabulous time!
Love that picture Robin!
Tough day at work, so I wrapped myself in a cloud of Chanel Paris-Venise beauty. (Thanks a lot ElleBe! ??)
Almost twins, I wore it yesterday.
We have been smelling great, Lucasai!
Hope the day gets more bearable!
Counting the hours for the weekend to arrive! ?♀️
Sorry for your tough day, hope it goes by quickly!?
Hope so too!
You smell so good.
Phooey on the rough day at work. I hope it went by reasonably quickly.
Thanks God I am on my way home now!
I hope you’re now relaxing and decompressing. You smell great.
Thank you, Sistine! I am finally home and relaxing with a cup of lavender tea!
Sorry you had such an awful day! But you smell fantastic! I really like Paris-Venise.
Thank you! Paris-Venise and also Deauville are my favorites! Love them!
Somehow I managed to miss the memo on creamsicle day–but as luck would have it, this morning I indulged in a delightful soaking of Lili Bermuda Sunkiss. Unfortunately, I purchased the edt, so it is already a distant memory within two hours.
You’d think it would have been the CNN headline yesterday
Perfumer H Orange Leaf. I can’t believe how long my decant is lasting with how frequently I’ve worn it this summer!
Today’s tea is an herbal lemongrass/rose/hibiscus blend I got from a local, one-woman outfit at the farmer’s market. I’ve been drinking it iced with honey when I need a little break from caffeine. Very refreshing.
Oh, tea sounds very nice! I have been drinking lots of lemongrass & mint this summer.
We make concentrated extracts of mint or verbena by steeping a big handful in either hot water (mint) or boiling water (verbena). We store the extracts in the fridge in bottles and then pour in a little with some ice and sparkling water for a sugar-free, tasty alternative to either plain water or cocktails.
If I get my hands on lemongrass, I might try the same thing!
That’s genius! I wonder if basil would be good too…
Early weekend begins today. No more work this week.
I’m in Histoires de Parfums 1725. Casanova.
Enjoy your super long weekend! ?
I’m hoping for pleasantly warm weather.
En Passant for a morning at the shelter. No one could possibly object to smelling this, could they? Earworm of the day: “The open palm of desire, it wants everything, it wants everything, it wants everything.”
Shame. Shame. I had to look up your lyrics, and me a PS super fan. But truthfully, my fandom is stuck in the 1960s-80s, and I never even owned The Rhythm of the Saints.
You are on your own doll. For the moment I am ear worm free–but now I may go try to find my Graceland CD….
I remember my parents putting Graceland on the stereo on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. Listening to it gives me lots of happy childhood nostalgia ♥️
My parents listened to it a lot when I was a kid, too, but I will always prefer Old Paul Simon or Simon & Garfunkel to the newer stuff.
Oh, one of my favorite records of all time.
You smell so good and have amazing taste in music.
After today’s shopping I’m in Frederic Malle’s Outrageous! Which is perhaps not outrageous but very well done, and clever. I’d rather smell this on dozens of people than Santal 33. I might want a cute 30ml bottle.
To anyone not on Instagram: Malle has been posting about working with Jean Claude Ellena again. Getting goosebumps!
Oh, that’s good news!
(don’t worry, chocolatemarzipan’s problem is not spreading, I just accidentally double-clicked!)
One of those days!
Ooh, that’s exciting!
Chanel Fortnight continues in eau Premiere and Leau…..neither smell like what I remember of original no 5.
I like all these iterations and might twin with you in Eau Premiere – to me, a great office scent.
It’s beautiful….very soft and powdery to me.
Which are you liking better? I love both- curious to hear your thoughts!
Hmmm…. that’s tough….Leau reads sweet citrus candy and Premiere is soft and billowy with a touch of aldehyde….today I would pick Premiere but on another day it might be Leau!
L’Eau is even less like the original No. 5, which means I like it more
If I didn’t know what I was smelling, I’d never guess that L’eau was even distantly related.
That’s what I said when I first sprayed it ?. Premiere is closer to the original.
The Lush store across from Macy’s Herald Square closed down a few years back. The not so new one anymore opened across the avenue in 34th, bigger and brighter and not as dingy. I still consider it the Herald Square store eventhough it is technically not in Herald Square. Close enough for government work ?
Oooo!!! Thank you!! How did I miss it last time I was there? Next time I am keeping my eyes open. My mom and I went to that huge Sephora in that area.
I like Sephora’s new free samples program – or perhaps it’s just the one by me. The samples are filled to the top and each is marked with a letter and the letter corresponds to what is written on the one baggie where all the samples go. And you now have to provide an email address.
Oh that’s interesting! I haven’t experienced this yet! But that’s a great idea!
Interesting! When did that free samples program start?
Those gerberas scream FALL! to me??
Just getting activated, eating a Morning Glory muffin and drinking piping hot coffee while luxuriating I’m my boondocking spot in the Black Hills National Forest. Not a soul around, and other than the fierce storm that blew through about 2am, just the birds and the wind.
The storm was a whopper and perched on top of a mountain is not a great place to be, so I had a bit of an unsettling night. To cheer and perk myself up, I’m wearing SSS Equestrian from a travel spray.
Hope everyone else’s night was more restful than mine✌?
This sounds so idyllic (except the storm part). Especially when one is gearing up for few hot hot hot days here…
That heat is just unbelievable! Ugh, I hope you’re able to find a cool breeze, even if it’s man made✌?
For dog and archeology fans, I visited a fantastic buffalo jump the other day!
Your morning sounds great- the storm not so much. We had a bad one last time we went camping which is rare for NM but it was rocking and rolling hard for about two hours!
Yep, it’s a little more concerning when you’re in a small vehicle or trailer. We just hid out under the covers, and I made sure we weren’t touching any metal! ⚡️
Glad you made it through the storm! I rode out a wild thunderstorm in a tent a few weeks ago. I kept worrying a tree would fall on us.
Yikes! Need a rubber blanket!
What is a Morning Glory muffin? That sounds rather exotic! Alas, the wild weather you went through last night sure isn’t. Not at this time of the year. Stay safe!
It’s a mash up of carrot, cinnamon, and nuts. Nothing I need, but sure is great with a hot cuppa!
Your photos are so beautiful. Thank you for posting them. Sorry about the weather.
Thank you, glad you’re enjoying them. Weather happens! Lol?
Hello NST after a bit of an absence (summer, traveling, etc.)!
Still commando this morning but wanted to share something funny:
From the last freebiemeet, I got a box of fresh manly samples (thank you again!), which I ended up giving my husband because he was all out and it was his birthday – anyway, he liked the little box filled with samples and was using them, but whenever I asked him what he was wearing, he’d be like “I don’t remember”, so I insisted he look at the little labels. Otherwise, how to find a keeper?
In any case, just now he came by and said: “This one is called Surrender to Chance….”
Happy Hump Day.
Laughed and laughed. Thanks for sharing!!
LOL!!! Love it!
Hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!
Too funny ?
If anyone was curious, it was “Heeley Chypre 21” He walked away mumbling that he still preferred the Hermes, anyway…I think I better just get another bottle of Terre d’Hermes already.
???! That was really funny!
Best. Story. Ever.
Ha! That reminds me of my husband’s shopping trips in Europe where he would occasionally buy me a handbag. One time he asked me about a Spanish brand that every store seemed to carry: Bolsas. I laughed and told him that was the Spanish word for purse.
Still battling this calamitous contagion and feeling very sorry for myself indeed. Wearing the safe but cheery A la rose by MFK. Slurping coffee and hoping the cobwebs will clear enough to get real work done. Last night I stayed up much too late reading American Predator. I have avoided reading Helter Skelter or In Cold Blood, maybe afraid of my own prurient interest at the expense of someone’s real suffering. Needless to say, I could not put down my Kindle.
I love a good late night scary true crime read! Brrrr!
It was when my husband was saying “What?! What?!” and I suddenly heard myself groaning “No! No! No!” at the missteps of the Anchorage DA that I realized it was going to be a while before I put down my reading!
Looks like an interesting book. I’ve been wanting to reread Helter Skelter…it’s been years.
I read so much of that kind of thing when I was young, and now I feel like I don’t know that person anymore. I’d probably have a nervous breakdown if I read Helter Skelter today.
That person I was then would surely figure better to die now then to live to be excited about the next season of Great British Baking Show, ha!
IS THERE A NEW SEASON?? Sincerely, a person who lived in a loft with her band in 2002.
Wow, you too! (not a band but a bunch of wannabe punk filmmakers)
Did you really? This fills me with joy.
I did, too, then moved on to really dark noir fiction. Nowadays some episodes of Masterpiece Mystery are too much for me :/
I found a glass blowing competition which is absolutely great! And gardening shows. And one where obsessed people rebuild old castles and such.
This drives adorable hubby nuts. If its not bloodier than Walking Dead, he thinks its booorrring.
My TV watching has pretty much swindled down to reruns of Cybil, and a cute Canadian show called Corner Gas, although last night he convinced me to start watching Outlander. I am a sucker for costume dramas with guys riding big horses and looking rugged and unwashed, especially if there are kilts involved. Because they are actors, and actually smell of Tom Ford and Dior.
Ooooooh, a glass blowing competition? That sounds like it would be fascinating!
I watched that glass-blowing one! It was amazing.
Outlander is great! Jamie is easy on the eyes.. And Corner Gas was shot about 1/2 an hour from where I grew up. Oscar is hilarious; we still watch the re-runs even though we’ve seen them a million times.
UK — August 27.
I think last year it was on Netflix at the same time as UK?
Here is the trailer:
I can’t even watch Mission Impossible and go straight to sleep after. Pathetic me.
I hope you feel better soon!
I’m wearing First Cut which I just got my mini of in the mail! Hooray, it’s so beautiful. Summer days in a bottle.
It really is beautiful. It also smells amazing on a man!!!
Just a couple of little spritzes of Fig Tea this AM. Didn’t want to overpower at the airport.
Happy Hump Day, fragrant friends!
You smell fabulous. Great travel choice.
Going to the doctor to get a mole on my back removed. For the appointment, I am wearing vintage Jicky edt. My 15ml decant of it is almost finished but I am happy that I have two backup bottles. Then it’s off to get my dog’s medication and find out why my Bath and Body Works coupon isn’t working. My favorite wallflower scent is in.
Hope it is quick and painless Dawn! You smell great anyway.
AdP Iris Nobile edt for a cloudy day.
So pretty! My middle one wears that one a lot!
Middle marzipan has excellent taste!?
She borrowed that bottle from me….and never returned it LOL ? ?
Hi All! Humpday!
1) Committed to finally, finally, FINALLY doing the kitchen. I WILL NOT be using the IKEA plan because I rethought the space and how I use the space. I broke down and did my own plan in AutoCAD, and took it to Home Depot and got a very promisingg quote; will take to IKEA and do my pricing as well.
2) Am in Prim Botanicals Body Oil and Clean’s Solar Bloom.
That’s great! Best of luck with quotes.
The one bonus with Ikea, maybe worth thinking about, is that you have the standard sizes, plus so many third parties sell faces / fronts — you will be able to redo your kitchen easily if you want to, 10 years down the line, without having to replace the actual cabinets.
I have been hankering after a new kitchen with Ikea cabinets and Semihandmade fronts myself
Oh, and looks like Semihandmade is having a summer sale. Oops, shouldn’t have looked.
Ooof, I was literally considering this route. The real money, it is seems is not in the boxes per se, but in the fronts and convenience hardware. Semihandmade is in the running, as are some local makers.
Autocad is great for that kind of thing.
Hello Ede, I’m reading Nora Roberts’ latest book Under Currents. One of the characters is a landscaper and she provided a homeowner with a tip on how to grow basil. Counting from the root up for 5 leaves (not sure if yours grew…I know it was a fail but you have the plant, no?), trim off the leaves above that and it is supposed to make the plant grow more abundantly.
As to kitchens, if I had to redo mine, I would get rid of the upper cabinets between the stove/oven and sink. The empty space the allows you to have taller appliances without having to worry about fit and / or potential damage due to food splatters and / or steam (no damage to mine but it prevented me from getting a newer coffeemaker).
Oh, glass front cabinets, if I were to re-do the doors, just sayin’…
Hey lovely lady!
1) I did that trick and some of the basil plants did respond with bushy growth. However, I think the issue was our local weather PLUS sun exposure. Next year, i am growing basil in the front side yard.
2) What I have planned is this: There is dead counter space next to the fridge that holds a toaster and occasionally a crockpot when cooking. there are cabinet above and below that hold supplies- badly. Will get rid of those and simply build a pantry center there with roll out shelving and a frame for the fridge. The base cabinets will have roll out drawers so I can store dishes, cups, Tupperware, mason jars and pots and pans. I am gonna do shelving on top for cookbooks and any extra dishes. Countertop will be a cherry butcher block. The island with plumbing will have a solid surface. The floors will a vinyl or bamboo plank. The color will white and dark blue.
Veddy veddy nice. Mismatched drawer pulls?
Kyse Bonbons à la Vanille ??
Kyse is my only K for the CP.
Going to do Kyse for the rest of the week methinks.
You are back in vanilla again. Order has been restored to the universe. ??
It’s like an addiction…but legal and non-caloric which is a plus. ?
Aloha Tiaré for the humidity. If it’s gonna steam, I’m gonna pretend I’m on a tropical island instead of a cement one.
Heading to Philadelphia tomorrow for a wedding this weekend. Should be fun. All of a sudden there’s a flurry of activity on my calendar… don’t know if there are any good perfume stores.
By the way, Robin, my husband is surfing through the website you posted yesterday for that teapot. He’s loving some of the mugs.
Oh yay! The mugs are fantastic.
Have fun in Philly! U haven’t been there in a long while and would be curious myself. Oh wait, I was there November or December last year for a museum trip so did not get a chance for self-exploration!
I meant I haven’t been…fat fingers…
It depends on where in Philly you would be at. If you are going to be on the Main Line in Bala Cynwyd, there is a Saks. Some of the suburban malls are decent for sniffing. And the Mall at King of Prussia has stuff like Hermes, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdales.
Thanks! I’m coming from NYC, so likely wouldn’t hit the bigger stores. Just wondered about small independent ones.
Who am I kidding, though. My time won’t be my own. ?
I don’t know of any small independent perfume boutiques in Philly, sorry. Maybe some of the PA folks can chime in?
I think Perfumology is in King of Prussia mall…
Back to Black By Kilian. One little spray is enough.
Tea is Festin d’Or MF. I’m so glad you pointed this one out to me Robin, it’s great.
Ah, yes it is!
Tauer L’ADDM today, for no reason in particular. Only three sprays, and it’s still going strong. Almost too strong… I’ll be offering decants of my bottle at the swapmeet!
I might take you up on one of those decants – mine is getting a little low…….
You smell great!
Wow, 3 sprays of a Tauer perfume? That would knock me flat.
Dang. That’s bold!
And the guys on Basenotes complain about its weak performance!?!
I’m wearing L’Occitane Bergamot Tea today. It works well in both hot and cold weather. The citrus notes are evenly balanced (to me) with the almost smoky tea.I realized I’m building a good tea fragrance collection!
What are some of your other favorite tea fragrances?
I like the other L’Occitane tea scents like Green Tea and Green Tea with Jasmine, all discontinued.Kenzo Silk series is good, also discontinued. For winter Tokyo Milk Dark Bulletproof is lovely.I’ve been wearing Berdoues Assam of India a lot this summer thanks to the recommendation here.I tried Commodity Tea and it was just ok.MM Replica Tea Escape is ok but is not a favorite, especially for the price.I recently rediscovered an older bottle of Philosophy Tea from 2005 I believe. It was part of a series with lemon and sugar scents. It is more of a light mint tea scent, not a black tea.It is nice for the summer. The later Philosophy Tea release a few years ago was more of a citrus tea,not a black tea.I tried it but didn’t like it.
Sad that so many are discontinued! I had a decant of Tea Escape once upon a time. I really liked it at first, but then I started to find it cloying.
I forgot to mention a few others.Speziali Fiorentini Profumo Black Tea and White Tea EDP,very strong scents.I gifted these.I’ve tried several Earl Grey perfume oils, one from Body Time/Escential Oils, the other from I Smell Good.I liked both of them for a single note fragrance.
My favorite Chai Tea scent was Pacifica Tibetan Mountain Temple that is also sadly discontinued.
I meant to respond to you …. Memo Paris Winter Palace is a good tea scent. No FB yet but one is in my future.
Mmm I do love a smoky tea note!
Memo Paris Winter Palace! A FB is in my future.
Looking forward to trying WP, it sounds interesting.
I’m very tired today. Trying to leave work early. I’m wearing Carnal Flower. I have a perfume story I might come back and tell later.
Happy Birthday Bear?
Hope you can get out early!
You smell pretty.
Happy birthday ??? to ?
Thanks chocolatemarzipan! ?
Your day is almost over! You can do it! ?
It’s your Friday so huzzah!
You smell wonderful today lillyjo!
Thanks lillyjo! ?
I think I’m on my 3rd perfume of the day with Chanel L’eau (which to me smells like bright, shimmering bergamot and laundry musk.) It took me a while to warm up to it since it has nothing in common with the original, but it’s so cheery that I eventually fell to its charms and bought a bottle.
Home and finally completely unpacked after 8 nights away. We spent the last one on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. I planned the stop there primarily because it was the midpoint on our route home, and after making the reservation a few months ago didn’t really give it any further thought. Even for a non nature lover like myself, it was amazing and super fun and a good end to our trip.
Never been to Niagara Falls and would love to go at some point. I find L’eau to be closer to Eau Premier than to the original.
It’s amazing, you should go. Yes it’s a tourist trap, but the falls really are awe-inspiring.
Wearing Kenzo Jungle L’Elephant again today, for partial points. Gosh, I forget how rich, exotic and delicious this is – why don’t I wear it more often? I’ve put the bottle in a more accessible place, so that I’ll remember to wear it.
A new sample of L’Eau d’Hiver arrived earlier this week, and I sprayed it on this morning thinking “I love this one, don’t I?” Turns out I don’t … at least, not in the heat of summer. Fortunately I went easy on the sprays, and equally fortunately it layered well with a bit of Le Galion Iris. Much better for a 90 degree day.
But could it be reformulated vs not a match for the weather ???
It has been reformulated for sure, but it could also be a weather issue.
Oh no – what a horrible thought! I blew through a 2ml sample a while ago and loved it. Well, I have 3mls this time so I can afford to set it aside and wait for cooler weather. I also got a smaller sample of Iris Poudre which I’m testing now, and it is quite as lovely as I remembered … so there’s hope that I’ll have something to confess to Donatella sometime soon.
Finally focusing on the theme, and it turns out I don’t have any perfumers from a house starting with K, my only perfume starting with K is Kingdom, and that’s not a thing for work. So I’ll go with something much quieter, Angélique by Papillon Perfumes.
I love Angelique. It’s a shapeshifter!
Terracotta today for work, sadly it really works better in the heat than in our low 20C temperatures.
Harvested lots of tomaoes and peppers in our garden, so i made shakshuka for dinner.
I decided to wear my white florals his week, so i think i will wear Oil Fiction tomorrow
Shakshuka = yum.
Garden fresh veggies are SO good! ???????
How wonderful, to be able to make shakshuka from homegrown produce
Today I’m wearing Keiko Mecheri Paname plus another of her scents that is now a mystery because the label came off. It’s the label glued to the front of the black bottle, and it’s not written anywhere else on the bottle. I’m thinking it is Mihime because I definitely can detect heliotrope. That one is overpowering the Paname on my left arm which is sort of too bad because the herbal absinthe of Paname is smelling especially good today in our heat. I have several of her perfumes because I always like her perfume aesthetic. I met her once when she came for a day to Kuhl-Linscomb, and she was very gentle and charming and gave me lots of nice samples. This was back when Datura Blanche was new, and I now see that would have been 2009. Hard to believe it was 10 years ago! I’ll have some other options to choose from for the next two days, but the datura one will pretty definitely be one of them.
I also really like her perfumes. How cool that you got to meet her!
SotD = Orange Sanquine + Vanille Insensee
Celebrating creamsicle day with my fragrances. Thanks to Robin for the heads up.
I remember loving both of these scents on first sniff. Together they are even better.
I can’t believe I haven’t worn either one of those this summer.
I love both too! You smell fantastic!
SOTD = Replica Whispers in the Library
Okay, but the dry-down is meh. 5 sprays from my Sephora sample lasted about 4 hours pre-drydown.
I dropped of mom’s stash of walkers (she had 4 of them) and transport wheelchair to the senior home. The nuns were taking turns honking the horn that came with one of the walkers. I’ll be back there to volunteer / sit with the seniors. The nuns pegged me right as being extroverted and probably good with spending time with seniors. We’ll see…
In other news, does anyone know the best way to dispose of an expired household fire extinguisher?
I’d suggest dropping off that fire extinguisher at your local firehouse. The folks there would know what to do with it.
As for your question last night, I “think” I like tonka. But I didn’t get any from that Shower Cream. What I smelled was overboiled veggies! Weird, huh?
Good idea about the local firehouse. I will be passing by one tomorrow. Lots of other stuff to donate.
And eep, I commented on the Avocado Shower Cream in your original post. Here’s a copy and paste:
“As to Avocado shower cream, I think washing with it smelled different than smelling it from the bottle. I got the sample because I saw the bottle by the register and the green color was very eye-catching. I smelled no avocado, just pralined tonka and quite nutty.”
Happy Scented Birthday to Bear! I hope you are having a great one!
It’s a VERY wet day for me… I got caught in some rain taking the recyclables out this morning. There have been more episodes of downpours since. Not sure that grilling will be possible for dinner tonight. That’s OK, though, I have a backup plan.
SOTD = back in Sinti today. This sample is definitely a keeper! ?
Since we ran out of nesting comments, I’ll answer your question here.
So previously, I would get barely half-filled (and smaller atomizers) and the name of the perfume would be written on indiviual baggies. This year and it must have started no more than 2-3 months ago, your 3 max per visit all go into the same opaque baggie about the size of 1 and 1/2 index card. I think it makes sense to record it from the standpoint of being able to keep track of supplies inventory and also to send email reminders of perfumes sampled and helpful links to order a full bottle (I haven’t received these yet but I bet they’re a coming). On the flip side, those asking for the same samples over and over again may get shamed but who knows?

Thanks Jalapeno! ?
Scent for a little while: 4711 Acqua Colonia Lime & Nutmeg body spray. I had remembered getting some lime scent before the nutmeg, but today I got all nutmeg. I didn’t get the bottle *that* long ago.
We got a few sprinkles of rain here, and then it got pretty sunny, although still very humid.
And Happy Birthday, Bear!
No sun at all in my area! Maybe tomorrow?
Thanks neyronrose! ?
Got caught in meetings all morning, but I smelled pretty nice in L’ete en Douce. I tried to wear Lumiere Blanche first, butt my decant had gone off. ?
*reveling in that typo, like the child I am*
Heh that was the damn Swype I use on my phone’s keyboard. I’m glad to have provided some laughs.
Armani Privee Vetiver Babylone aka Vétiver d’Hiver initially and now back to Chypre Palatin?!
I’m in Odeur 53 today. I’ve been a bit obsessed with it lately, but it’s just perfect in our hear and humidity. And I have a 200 ml bottle, so it’s not like I’m going to run out any time soon …
Happy birthday Bear!
I’m back with my perfume story.
Yesterday, I wore No.5 L’eau to work, and threw the bottle in my purse so I could reaply after lunch. At which time I found the bottle was missing! I have a work locker, but no lock. I figured another associate must have stolen it. I went to my store manager to have him look at the security footage. I also called home to check that I hadn’t lost my mind, and had left it at home. My manager found that no-one had been in my locker, but was now very curious himself to find out what happened to the bottle. He went back to the cameras and retraced my steps from when I got out of my car. As I enter the store, I dropped my lunch bag, and when I pick it up, the bottle falls out of my purse! I never noticed! So all I see on the camera is my bottle laying there, as customers walk by it. I covered my eyes and said, I don’t want to see anymore. I was almost in tears, when he says look! This ends happy! I looked, and a lady picked up the bottle and promptly walked it to lost and found! Omg, I ran over, and there it was! Lol! I never thought to look there because I was so sure it had been stolen.
Sorry, I know this is long, but you guys are the only one’s that would get it. Thanks for listening.
Awwwww! There are still good people in the world!
I know. A lesson for me, to not automatically think the worst of people.
That’s such a great story! Glad it turned out the way it did; kind of restores your faith in humanity.
I sampled L’eau a few weeks back when it was really hot here. It bloomed so nicely in the heat.
I find it very invigorating on a sweltering day. I’ve tried wearing it in winter, but it’s not much of a match for the cold.
I think you are absolutely correct. I have the No 5 body butter and it’s great in cold weather. Obviously we need both to cover the seasons!
I’m so happy you got your bottle back!
Yay! Great story! Reminds me of the time someone at work came to me and said someone stole her AirPods. She was sure she left it at work and since she was sitting at an aisle seat, she said it would have been very easy to swipe the pair. I gave her contact information for building security. The following day, she called me and said a co-worker found them under her keyboard! I took the opportunity to urge her to consider the safety of wireless earbuds in both ears at the same time (keeping alert, wireless waves basically traveling back and forth through brain).
Wearing lots of Chanel-Riviera tonight.
You’re getting good use out of this new acquisition!
I am, it’s a really great scent! I had to blind buy as there are no places near me with these to sample. I owe hajusuuri (and the Oreos) a shiny enabler pin!
I think it will be my weekend scent as we’ve been invited to my hubby’s brothers house for some summer fun. He plans on taking us out in his boat and of course, there will be golf (for others, not me). I ‘caddy’ which means get the beverages for everyone!
LOL. My tiara is getting heavier ?
Spent the day in ELDO Dangerous Complicity. Nice but not an obsession (though I do have 30ml).
Ordered a few other ELDO samples today including Spice Must Flow (could only find that one on eBay).
