Thierry Mugler Ambre Redoutable ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 12 August 2019 14 Comments

Thierry Mugler has launched Ambre Redoutable, a new unisex fragrance in the Les Exceptions series.

Explore new genres and boldly create the unexpected with MUGLER’s Les Exceptions Ambre Redoutable fragrance. Inspired by its creator Thierry Mugler, who rejected conformity and created his own world, MUGLER Les Exceptions reinterprets the traditional fragrance families of La Belle Parfumerie to achieve the extraordinary. MUGLER disrupts the classic structures with creative and audacious combinations that include unexpected ingredients. The most beautiful materials come to life, colliding and blending together in an intoxicating collection of fragrances with the most exceptional character. The quintessential MUGLER craftsmanship.

An invitation to dream and travel, Les Exceptions - Ambre Redoutable reinterprets the oriental opulence of Amber scents at the heart of a dangerously addictive fragrance. Powerful and sumptuous par excellence, and amber reveals an oriental sensuality with soft, almost hypnotic vibrations. Highlighted by the smoothness of warm wood, it unveils creamy facets. This Amber Oriental fragrance is immediately invigorated and refreshed by the striking aroma of Gentian absolute, an unexpected ingredient that blends airy freshness with bitter florality.

Thierry Mugler Ambre Redoutable is available now at Mugler, $225 for 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

Very tempty… I dropped them a note over the weekend asking how I could get a sample (junior size). I wish they would sell that sample set of all of Les Exceptions! We’ll see if they are willing to send me anything. Or if they just ignore me….

I wonder how this will differ from the earlier Oriental Express, which I adore.

I like that one too! It isn’t a heavy amber though; despite the name I think of it primarily as an iris.

Probably missing the obvious, but which is more Iris?

Lure amber. Not so much iris.

Sorry, I think of Oriental Express as being an iris fragrance, not an amber fragrance in particular.

I have not tried this new one.

You could spend $89 on something Mugler and get a complete sample set of Les Exceptions for free ?. You have to purchase directly through mugler dot com.

Looking forward to smelling this one, hopefully it will arrive at The Bay before I leave Montreal in October.
