Tuesday, plus Raymond Chandler's birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Hermès Kelly Caleche, because gvillecreative mentioned it over the weekend. Tea at the moment is Upton Hong Cha Mao Feng.
Reminder: on 7/26 we're doing Gone In Sixty Seconds...wear the shortest-lived fragrance you own. Bonus points for reapplying all day long. Suggested by pyramus.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: "The stylish shape of the Lenox Luca Blue Azzurro Angles teapot in chip-resistant porcelain with microwave-safe gold trim features the geometric artistry of renowned architect Luca Andrisani." It is on mark down at Macy's today, $58.
Keeping with the CP, I am in Miu Miu. Sprayed from my sample, almost the whole thing at 7am and it’s gone..I will finish it up and then ‘Thunk’
I know this one doesn’t get much love, but it is beautiful while it lasted!
Tea is London Breakfast with cream and honey.
Miu Miu lasts for days on me. There’s that skin chemistry again ?
Seriously ?
Jealous
It lasts a long time for me also. Very pretty scent.
Your tea sounds good! I’ve become sensitive to dairy in the past few months, and I miss having a splash of cream or milk in my tea. (Sure there’s soy milk, but nothing beats the real deal.)
My “cream” is silk soy milk creamer, not the real deal
That’s exactly the one I use. It’s yummy.
Its delicious !
That teapot is lovely. SOTD for me is a soft cloud of Heeley Cuir Pleine Fleur.
That whole china collection is pretty:

Thanks Robin, and you are so right – a non-perfume lemming is born. 🙂
Lovely perfume!
It is … and long-lived too. It’s dinner time now and my wrists still smell great.
You smell lovely!
Thanks!
I’m sampling another vetiver, this time Route du Vetiver. When I first smelled it I thought – glue!, then, rubber cement! However now it is smelling great.
Such a great scent! Not easy to wear, though.
Everything is coming up ??? in Tresor la Nuit a la Folie.
What is that one like?
It’s sweet ?
I really like that one and been on my wishlist. Love at first sniff.
It’s lovely. very different from the original Tresor
Comparing Tauer Rose Vermielle and Broussard Ombre Rose, from a nice sample frm a generous NSTer! My office mate says of Ombre Rose – it’s nice but nothing I would ever wear. Of Rose Vermielle – I can barely smell it. LOL. I asked her what she thought because I was afraid the Rose Vermeille was too strong and would bother her. Shows what I know.
To me, Ombre Rose was first Rose and musk, then pretty much musk, now incense is coming to the fore. I like this perfume, enough to consider a small bottle of it if i can find a small bottle of it.
Rose Vermiele is sweet Rose, sweet Rose, sweet Rose. I don’t normally go in for sweet things, but this one is great to me, and strong. I am astounded that my office mate could barely smell it.
Your office mate is probably anosmic to something in the perfume. That’s the only explanation I can find for why someone could barely smell a Tauer perfume!
This. His stuff is pretty hefty, especially the roses.
I looooove Rose Vermeille, you smell fantastic.
Fragrancenet has an Ombre Rose extrait mini for three dollars.
ORLY? I’ve not smelled the extrait or modern version. I used to wear the vintage quite a bit. The opening is awful but short-lived; the dry-down is gorgeous.
I too wore the vintage in the early 80s. It was always gorgeously powdery on my skin. The extrait is beautiful IMHO.
Hello all! Wearing the opaque and lovely Kenzo Ca Sent Bon. Vintage, of course, though I bet it still smells lovely. Luckily not short-lived at all, as I will exude a glowing orange aura for the rest of the day.
I love vintage perfumes
Me too! It’s quite a habit. 🙂
Kenzo has so many perfumes that I have never even heard of. I’ve only ever smelled two!. An orange aura sounds fantastic ?
It’s so lovely. Hard to describe but it’s a floral that’s a bit fruity, a bit powdery, a bit woody. It glows from within, almost like one of those salt lamps. Much more chic though.
Ahhh autocorrect! “Ca Sent Beau”
Ca Sent Beau keeps being mentioned on NST. Today, while hunting for Organza Indecence, I noticed that the seller who decants it also decants vintage Ca Sent Beau. I remembered your comment and ordered a sample. Enabler badge for you!
SSS Yin & Ylang today. It’s gonna be a hot one. ?
Are you still traveling? Where are you and TRex now?
Yes, still traveling. We’re in Montana at the moment. ✌?
I love the short vids and pics from your trip on Insta.
More than 20 years ago I visited that region with my parents and seeing your pics make me want to go back there…soon. beautiful scenery!
Glad they bring back good memories! Hopefully you can make a return trip soon. ??
You’re smelling great! Still loving your ‘gram!
Thank you! Perfume is completely sweated off at this point. Thanks for following my insta! Glad you like it, and maybe getting some inspiration for your new camper!
Ah, so you and T-Rex are in Big Sky Country!
Otherwise known as “Big Heat Country”! 95F here today. It’s cooler in Florida. ?
I’m wearing Truth or Dare Naked. Does not fit the week’s theme but it is summery.
Forgot that one existed, had to google it, don’t recommend doing so…
I bet you got quite a lot of interesting hits…. 😉
Seriously, am I brain dead or what? I did not even include the word perfume which might have saved me.
I’m in MFK Aqua Universalis for no particular reason.
I just found out my work is scent-free. But I wear so little at work that I am not going to worry about it.
Good plan ??
Just pretend today never happened and you’re eternally in yesterday’s ignorance 😉
I would be very upset and possibly have to change jobs if my office was scent-free ha!
🙂 🙂 🙂
Did it just change or was it called out as a new policy?
My work is fragrance free, and I wear perfume every day. I try to wear a discreet amount, and I haven’t had any issues so far. It doesn’t seem to really be enforced because there are a few people that still very obviously wear perfume. It is a bummer though to have to be especially secretive as a perfume lover.
I’m wearing Atelier Silver Iris. This is so beautiful. I might wear it to my interview tomorrow. I don’t know, you never really know what other people smell.
???
???
Super, extra, ultra good luck to you tomorrow! ???
Thank you for the super extra ultra!
Good choice! It was my wedding scent. Crossing fingers for you!
It really is beautiful, I forget I have it, since I’m hoarding it.
I’d bet you could pick up one of the travel sprays for under $15 on ebay.
I’m so technologically unadvanced, I’ve never ordered anything from eBay. I’m missing out, I know.
It’s no more complicated than buying something from amazon but is a helluva lot cheaper.
Lillyjo, If I am not mistaken fragrancenet has a travel spray for a very affordable price.
I’ve never bought anything from Amazon either! Lol, I’m hopeless.
Good luck with your interview, lillyjo!
Thanks!
Good luck tomorrow!
Thank you!
You smell lovely and good luck for the interview, wear maybe a perfume that makes you feel confident.
Thanks!, I will have to see what speaks to me in the morning.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best of luck on your interview!
Good luck lillyjo!
Good luck tomorrow lillyjo! They’ll be lucky to have have you. ?
Good luck with your interview tomorrow lillyjo! Go get ’em! And maybe someone might have that Atelier in the swapmeet? ???
Best of luck lillyjo!
AdP Iris Nobile EDT. Pretty but almost undetectable after 4 hours.
Beautiful !
My middle marzipan confiscated my full bottle. She is still at university this summer working and taking classes for her minor (health and wellness…she is also going to be a nurse). She left the bottle there!!!! So I can’t even wear it this summer…waaaa!!!
I participated in the CP earlier today by wearing En Passant, one of most fleeting perfumes in my wardrobe. It disappeared a couple of hours after application.
Now I am testing Molinard Muguet Eau de Parfum. A lovely watery lily of the valley. It’s not original or ground-breaking, but smells very nice (if you like LOTL).
En Passant would be my pick for my favorite fleeting fragrance. It is definitely perfume ‘in passing’ quickly. I apply it extremely liberally, which helps, but is also expensive 🙂
I just re-spritzed Perfumer H Orange Leaf and am getting a prominent anise/black licorice note from it today. Really good stuff.
Decided to try something new today and ordered a matcha tea latte from the cafe. Turns out I don’t care much for matcha ?♀️Now I know!
I’m not a fan of matcha either. It’s the only tea available at the hubster’s favorite sushi place, so I bring a tea bag with me.
Depending on who makes it, matcha can be really nasty. If it’s properly brewed, it’s not. It needs to be brewed with 175F (or lower temp) water, which some cafes may not be able to do.
I happen to be on my 3rd iced matcha latte of the day. (I make them at home.) I don’t necessarily love the flavor of matcha, but with enough honey and milk and ice, it’s delicious 😀 Hot matcha lattes are a different story as they seem to go bitter pretty rapidly. And I’ve also had hot matcha lattes that were bitter and nasty from the start.
I think you have a point! It was likely brewed with too-hot water, and, being accustomed to drinking black tea, I probably let it steep too long (it was a teabag). Then again, it may have just needed more honey…
Agreed that matcha can be tricky. I’ve had some I love and some that were soooo bad.
Agreed. The Starbucks matcha frapp was vile.
I have been on a total matcha kick. Cannot get enough of the stuff. My favorite iteration just now is Kyoto Uji Matcha Latte with tapioca pearls from Yi Fang. (For NorCal folks: https://yifangteausa.com/)
Ooh, that sounds yummy. Like matcha pudding 🙂
Eating the freezer, ’cause the electricity dropped 15! times before going off for 5 hours last evening.
Meatloaf and broccoli for breakfast, lemon ‘icebox’ cake tonight.
Gabrielle Chanel, first time on skin. I tested on paper when it was released and it was pleasant enough.
It’s nice. I suppose that is damning with faint praise….
Oh, I’ve done that freezer gig, during hurricanes. I hope the excavation doesn’t last too long!
Me too! When I lived in DC. We’d have block party bbqs and everyone would grill outside the entire contents of their freezers.
Sounds like the Northeastern Blackout in August 2003! Anybody have any good stories or memories?
The worst was after Hurricane Isabel, September 2003 (I had to look up the month). We had no power for eight days on our street. My husband was traveling for work, and I had a 2 year old and a 5 month old in tow, plus a very sick cat. I was supposed to give the cat fluids subcutaneously 3 times a day, the last dose at night. Once the boys were asleep, I would set up a ring of candles on our dining room table around the cat, and dangle his IV pouch from the chandelier. Anyone looking in would have seen a very curious sight!
That sounds like a total blast!
Gabrielle is nice! I’m hoping to be able to wear the new flanker, since the original turns sour on me. Eat well today ??
I’d be happy to help you with your icebox cake 😀 I need some lemon cake in my life ?
I had a sample of Gabrielle and every time I wore it, it struck me as a perfume for well-heeled social security-eligible women who shop at fancy department stores, possibly wearing a fur coat. I’m guessing that’s not what the folks at Chanel had in mind.
Ugh, sorry to hear that you lost power last night, Bear! Good luck with your freezer goodies.
Thanks All!
The lemon cake remains.
It seems like the texture wasn’t affected but won’t KNOW ’til it is eaten and I don’t have a sweet tooth tonight.
Split pea soup with ham tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!
Tocca Colette today. Glad the heat wave has moved elsewhere, but sorry for you now dealing with it!
Colette is my favorite Tocca. You smell great!
Splish splash, I went at it liberally from my big vintage splash bottle of Cabochard EdT. It’s so very wonderful. I love perfume.
You smell wonderful
This one is similar is Azuree?
It’s sort of a kinder gentler sister to both Azuree and Bandit.
You smell wonderful. I love perfume too!, lol
So do I 🙂
Ormonde Jayne Ta’if and drinking a cup of Nilgiri Winter Frost Black tea.
You smell wonderful.
The weather is so much cooler this morning, overcast and 78 degrees when I walked the pupper. Still, the last of the Prada Infusion Cedre sample wore off by the end of the walk. I like it, but don’t need a bottle of it.
Sprayed a big cloud of 4711 Lime&Nutmeg (or is it Nutmeg&Lime?? The dog is on my lap, so I’m unable to go check the label), and will undoubtedly add to the melange later.
This is a goofy looking post, and I’m posting it anyway! ?
Do not disturb the dog <3
We finally cooled off too!
Opposite of CP, at least for me… Narciso (white cube) for during the day today. Will likely switch to either my new Kelly Calèche pure Parfum or Cuir de Lancôme this evening for my husband’s birthday dinner.
Happy Birthday to your husband! Enjoy the dinner!
Have fun tonight! You smell sexay!
Enjoy the birthday dinner!
Happy Birthday to your husband, LizzieB!
Thanks all for the birthday wishes for my husband.
I love going to a restaurant and ordering the exact right thing and not envying anyone else’s food… Both of my dishes couldn’t have been more delicious. As was the glass of Riesling I had.
SotD is Un jardin apres la mousson
I went to Nancy last weekend and had a great time there. its really a lovely city. We drove to the Vosges as well, for a walk in the cool forests.
I started reading “1812” about Napoleon’s march on Moscow. Its fascinating (by Adam Zamoyski).
Oh and I have another job interview this week (2nd round) . Forecast says it will be almost over 100 degrees Fahrenheit then. ?
Good luck with the interview! I kinda wish my interview was during the heatwave, so I could have an excuse for my hair?
Wish you good luck as well tomorrow!
Mine is thursday.
As for the hair: I have long hair, so in hot weather it will be a ponytail or an updo 🙂
Unless there is zero humidity tomorrow, I will have to do a ponytail.
Good luck on the interview! I enjoyed Sylvain Tesson’s Berezina, which was about the retreat of Napoleon from Moscow.
O sounds interesting, could be a nice follow up when Ive finished 1812. Thank you!
Good luck with your interview, Jiji!
Thank you!
Good luck with the interview!
I can’t believe the heat waves Europe has been having this summer, especially getting over 100 degrees in Germany and the Netherlands in two separate waves.
Good luck for Thursday.
Good luck with your interview on Thursday!
Another gorgeous cooler day. Wearing SL Cuir Mauresque.
I recently got a sample of this. It’s great! I plan on wearing it in the fall.
I love that one. You’re smelling great today.
You smell great!
PSA: Frédéric Malle is having another price increase on August 1st, if you were planning on buying something, now is the time.
oh ffs
I bought a travel set of the lilac Malle..whatever it’s called..they didn’t last, went bad quickly and “spoiled” worse than any perfumes I have had. They weren’t in light..idk. Turned me away from purchasing anymore from Malle. I only like a couple others from him anyway.
En Passant? Hmmm… that is one I am using up quickly (see my comment somewhere else 😉 ) but what is left in the 50 ml bottle is still going strong.
Huh. I have some manufacturing samples that are pretty old (like 5 years maybe) as well as a bottle that may be even older and everyything still smells perfect. Did you buy them from FM directly?
I think those travel size sprayers often aren’t crimped as well as the full size bottles, I had a Hiram Green travel size that evaporated as well.
Oh no, that’s not good to hear. I haven’t had any issues with my FM travel sprays, but I have only had HG travel sprays for 6 months.
I just happened to this morning.
Oh no. Thanks for the heads up.
Oh bother!
I am wearing Parfums de Rosine Rose Kashmirie. It is so good on a warm summer day (heat wave is returning where I live later is the week but for now is just pleasantly warm). It will last most of the day, but then fades after that, which is fine.
Ooh, I love that stuff. I went through my sample ages ago, meant to buy a bottle, but never did.
You smell good!
Thunked a sample of Sunshine and Pancakes today- definitely more sunshine than pancakes IMO. I like it but don’t love it.
Sampling again while I can tolerate it in today’s cooler weather.
VC&A Neroli Amara -a very pretty Goldilocks citrus neroli. I’ve been thinking about grouping some of my decants (if not bottles) together by dominant notes if I have a lot in particular categories. Right now, that would be iris, neroli/orange blossom and jasmine. This one is convincing me to proceed with forging ahead with that as it’s quite likely that I own something similar enough to scratch that itch.
VC&A Moonlight Patchouli – very pretty, gotta wait for the drydown as the initial blast was overwhelming.
Nishane’s Patchuli Kozha – basic patchouli on me.
Parley Moi’s Orris Tattoo – do I have enough irises? Probably. Do I want more irises? Apparently so. I’ll see how I feel about this one as the day goes by. Thus far, I love it. Another candidate for contemplating when enough is enough.
I’d be interested to hear more about the VC&A Midnight Patchouli.
Wearing my vintage Ivoire edt splash. I never understood the splash application. Pour it in your hands and throw it on? Seems wasteful.
I decanted it, so now it’s a spray! If I put my nose down my shirt, it’s still going strong.
The splash version is more green and less sharp than my old spray bottle of the edt that I just thunked. Or maybe the aldehydes have burned off… I still love Ivoire either way.
You smell wonderful! Yeah I had this problem this morning, went with hands, and next time I washed my hands some vintage Cabochard went down the drain. Not ideal.
I am not a fan of splash bottles at all. Like you said, I can never figure out the best way for application.
I basically just put the bottle directly on my skin and drag it back & forth – kinda like a rollerball, I guess.
This does not always work, which is why my Vent Vert mini is half empty after one use…
Decanting into an atomizer is the best approach 😉
Yesterday I was at a mall and there was Lost Cherry. I love the first five minutes but then it’s gone, so I sprayed the tester and enjoyed the ride. Other people must be doing the same thing, the tester was almost empty. I’d never buy it, not worth the $$$ vs longevity test for me. Today it’s Desarmant, my favorite lilac. It’s cool here so I’m not wearing one of my short-lived citrus fragrances.
That’s a nice teapot.
I also love Lost Cherry and sadly didn’t last long on me either. I would not mind reapplying..ya know, if I had money to burn lol.
I guess that’s why it’s lost?
Ha!
Brought my decant of Desarmant on our road trip last week and thought of you. I’m not sure it is my favorite lilac, but I really enjoyed it.
🙂
Also, earworm of the day is “What a Fool Believes” Doobie Brothers. It’s been in my head since I woke up!
Ha! I’ve had Queen’s “Your My Best Friend” stuck in my head for almost a week!!! Same decade. . .
More is more with Lost Cherry!
Decided to wear Vetiver Extraordinaire after kpaint was asking about it yesterday. My decant is almost gone. I thought I might finish it today, but I didn’t want to overdo it so there’s at least one more wear in it. Sadly, this is one of my evaporating decants. It’s started to get richer and more concentrated but at least the oil didn’t separate from the alcohol like sometimes happens during evaporation.
Robin, reporting back now that I’ve used the Kneipp Passionfruit & Grapefruit shower gel that it is sweeter and more desserty than I remember. It has a caramel scent similar to that in Prada Candy paired with the tart sweetness of the fruits. I’m afraid that I don’t like it as much as I did last summer. Don’t know if it changed or if I have.
Sad, sad, evaporating decants 🙁 Just bought the VE travel spray this a.m. Hoping it arrives before I leave for vacation next weekend.
SO sad! I feel like I’m barely spraying from my bottles these days because I’m trying to keep on top of my evaporating decants.
Oh and meant to say that I hope you like VE! I’m sure you will have no trouble swapping it if it doesn’t work for you.
You smell great! i love VE
Said this in the wrong place earlier, but thanks!
Thank you so much for remembering! That means I probably don’t want it. I bought a travel size of a method body wash (the “energy boost” from this post: https://nstperfume.com/2018/02/13/the-daily-lemming-314/) and it is just fine but just as well it only cost a couple dollars. It is hard to find citrus shower gels that are zingy and tart enough!
In TBS Red Musk perfume oil and therefore participating in the CP. It is very nice while it lasts, but either it is gone in an hour or two or I become anosmic to it. Who knows?
Ooh I love Red Musk! When I wear the oil, I can smell it all day, but it wears pretty close to the skin. I also have the EDT, which is much more short-lived.
Vintage Cristalle edt for me today. This one is in a splash bottle, so I just dabbed it on in a few places. Smells great.
I like my Cristalle edt that I picked up at a Duty Free shop about 10 years ago, but it nothing like the Cristalle I wore in the 1990s. LOVED that stuff.
There is no comparison between vintage Cristalle and current Cristalle. I wore Cristalle in the late 70s and it had some real ump to it.
Tuesday was sponsored by a lot of paperwork at work and scented by Prada Purple Rain because it was raining when I was leaving the house.
Oh my, I almost wore Purple Rain for the same reason but No.19 called out to me!
??
Absolutely not participating in TF Orchid Soleil (although I applied 6-7 hrs ago and could use a top-up.)
Had a good morning, woke up feeling refreshed, made some fun perfume purchases, then all was dashed after having an extremely infuriating situation occur and making a totally unrelated yet also infuriating phone call.
Anyway… did y’all know that FragranceNet sells 8 ml decants of some of their perfumes? They’re in those twist-up metal atomizers (which hopefully won’t evaporate like screw-top atomizers do. Fingers crossed.)
Purchases: travel size ML VE, 3 Prada Infusions minis (vetiver, amande, fleurs d’oranger), 8 ml decant of TF Orchid Soleil (my mfr sample has almost run dry,) and a 100 ml (tester) bottle of Terracotta which cost just over $50. It’ll be fine if the tester comes in a plain box; if it has no cap, I may have to try again.
Yes I have known about those travel sprays for a while and I have one with Safari. They are great.
You will have some confession to make to Donatella.
I’ve spent more this month than I did in the first 2 quarters, so yes. But all of the above cost +/- $125, so not so bad. I used a $50 GC to buy the Malle and a 37% off code at fragrancenet. The Prada minis were all right around $10 and the TF decant was $15. Thus, I could not pass up 😉
Wow!!! You did good!!!
Don’t you just love those travel sprays? They have Serge Lutens and Lartisans too!!!!
I love Orchid Soleil. Yay for your purchases!
How can you search for which scents they will put in a travel spray?
Search for “travel spray.” To my knowledge, OS hasn’t been discontinued.
oh, this is dangerous
YUP!!!!!!!
And has Tom Ford discontinued Orchid Soleil? It isn’t on Sephora’s website any more.
It’s seems to be disappearing from the major store websites.
I got that $50 Terracotta tester and it totally came with a cap!
Fingers crossed! Methinks we may be like-minded bargain hunters 😉
Once you have smelled Terracotta it is impossible not to want some, and they don’t make minis…
You’re right about that. I got a decant groom LizzieB last week, sprayed it all day Sunday and am plotting a bottle purchase.
Came THISCLOSE to buying a bottle on F’net (and good to know about the travel sizes, I love the twist up sprays), but I stopped. ?
orchid soliel *
Time to put my TF Orchid Soleil sample into the rotation. Guess I’d better make up my mind quickly if I like it or not.
It took me quite a bit of retrying it before I actually “got it” I remember when I first tried it, I was thinking what have I done!?
Wearing some violet amber oil, which I use as a hair oil from a Chinese tea shop. and Le Labo Santal balm on my arms.
Glad to hear some one has come up with gold trim that can go into a microwave, but why on a tea pot. Does anyone actually put fine china teapots in the microwave?
I sure wouldn’t.
Isn’t that funny, I wondered the same thing.
I started the day in Caron Les Plus Belles Lavandes but it was long gone by the evening so I sprayed Molton Brown Intoxicating Davana Blossom, my only perfume with a broom note, probably my favorite MB.
I love broom, I should try that one.
It is so unusual and lovely, glad you like it too.
Well hello everyone!
It’s been about 3 weeks since I checked in….We took the kids for a week to beautiful Utah! What a beautiful place…and we’ll be back as soon as we can, because there’s so much we didn’t have time to see! 🙂 After we got back, the Georgia heat and humidity kicked in and made most fragrances a big no-no for me. (Plus, I just out of the habit while I was away).
Anyhoo, I’ve mainly been wearing The Body Shop Satsuma body mist the past few days. We’re supposed to be cooling down some this week, so it’s time to hop back in to scent….. 🙂
Anyhoo,
Waving hello!
Welcome back!
Welcome back Jada!
Satsuma body mist sounds perfect for the heat!
Where were you Jada? The only beautiful part of Utah I have seen so far is Zion, which was amazing.
We went to Arches NP and Canyonlands NP….both were just GORGEOUS! Also went to Antelope Island State Park and Dead Horse Canyon State Park, and toured around Salt Lake City as well.
We will definitely be back one of these days to see Bryce and Zion!
Wow, you really did a lot in a week, that’s impressive! I would love to go to Arches & Canyonlands…
In JM’s Pomegranate Noir, which has a sweet spot about 15-30 minutes after application (it is weirdly synthetic to my nose upon first applying), that fades about 30 minutes after that. It’s the Juicy Fruit Gum of perfumes I guess. I have enjoyed the travel bottle I picked up through an NST swap, but I won’t be replacing it when it is done.
I’m not in the least following the theme today, I’ve decided on Myrrhe Impériale, which lasts very well. It will be a busy day at work and I need a substantial perfume 🙂
I took a detour off my heat/cold list and am wearing Dzonghka today.
I have an Iris ‘crush’ these days.
Must add Kelly Caleche to it before my decant evaporates. Thanks Robin.
Dzongkha is always the right choice when I wear it.
? You are so right!!
Yay iris!
Camelia Chinois today, which lasts okay for a herby tea scent. Topped up with Merveilles Bleue in the late afternoon. Then to Munich to meet the boyfriend. He was releeased today and feels pretty. Went to a small beer garden in the neighborhood together with my brother and I will drive him home tomorrow.
Glad your boyfriend feels well!
Yay, glad your bf is feeling well and will be home soon!
Great news that your bf has been released and is on his way home with you!
Glad he’s on his way home!
Thanks!
Grr, this was in response to Jiji on my comment.
SOTD = Chanel No. 19 EDP
Remnants of last night’s thunderstorms and the sky had been threatening all day with some sprinkles here and there. No.19 to the rescue!
I have a few candidates for the CP and will participate on Friday. One that I will not wear on Friday that qualifies is CdG Red Carnation; IIRC, 4 spritzes lasted 20 minutes. Another one was experienced from a dabber sample: Kilian Flowers of Immortality – practically the entire vial went poof in 2 minutes.
I am certainly not wearing Blanche Immortelle Friday, as that one is nuclear and lasts 24+ hours on me. But I have a couple of their citrus scents that definitely go poof.
Good idea about Blanche Immortelle!
I guess that there were some rumbles in the middle of the night that woke up Mr. Jalapeno. For once, I slept thru them. That sky sure was gloomy today, but I did enjoy the 70-something temps.
A quiet and cloudy day today, after last night’s crazy and scary weather. 60 – 80 mph winds are no joke. Cell phone service is still not quite behaving right in my area.
SOTD = Diptyque Tempo, from the sample stash and Hajusuuri. Thunk! I enjoyed the sample she provided very much. This perfume is another one that is the total opposite of “Gone in 60 Seconds”, though. Pretty sure that I will be enjoying the far drydown of this one tomorrow morning.
Glad you made it through the crazy weather unscathed and you’re smelling great!
Thanks Petunia! This summer has been NUTS for bad weather!
You smell great in the neon juice !
Thanks to you, I certainly do!
My baseball team is in Philly tonight, and I heard there was a storm delay. You guys really need a break!
Yeah, I just saw the line of storms on the other side of the river. It’s gonna be wet again tonight. ?
Remnants of Songes to the gym this morning. Then Prada Iris Absolu (thanks friend?). Now Mon Guerlain because that’s on my mind now.
Ah, I should wear that Prada this week too.
Chiming in late with Soivohle Orris Ochre. I always forget about this little bottle, and it’s such a simple pleasure when I find it again.
I feel the same way about that one.
Sporting the remains of Tuberose. I started the day in Gardénia Passion and topped it up with Beyond Love. I can’t quite make out which one has the upper hand but I do smell strongly of tuberose!
Ooo I think I have a decant of Beyond Love. Need to look for it. That’s a beautiful one!!
I’m on a mission to re-try every bottle I have and decide what must stay and which must go. Today was Dune. Love it, and it will stay.
I’m only on day 3 but so far, everything is a keeper. If nothing else, it will get me wearing those I tend to forget about.
I wore Dune last night, definitely a keeper!
Hey Gi, more power. Doing this will probably cause me to shutdown.
Life has been a little busier than usual lately so I haven’t had much time to check in. One of biggest time-sucks has been that one of our apartments went vacant. We do the usual things between tenants and I think we have a nice place with a lot of charm. A friend told me that we should advertise our place on Facebook Marketplace so I decided to follow her advice. I have been getting multiple inquires every day. What I’ve noticed is that we spend time talking to people. They, mostly, seem nice and fit our criteria so we schedule a showing. Three times in a row people haven’t shown up, they don’t text, call or message to let us know. Is this the way people behave on social media? These people have no manners whatsoever. I confess that FB is not my thing. I’ve never been a social media user before. It’s starting to seem like I am wasting my time. Any thoughts?
SOTD was Cologne du 68, thanks to therabbitsflower!
Some people get off on making people run around like chickens with their heads cut off. I’m sorry you were at the receiving end.
It’s just that I rush home from work, make dinner, laundry, dishes, etc.. rush, rush rush and then they just don’t show. We live next door so it’s no big deal other than we’re watching and waiting. It bugs me but more for wasting my time. It really sort of fascinates me how rude people feel free to be. Oddly, we’ve had better luck from advertising in a local paper. I may just pull it.
It does sound like a waste of time if people are ghosting you like that. I personally cannot understand that kind of behavior.
You’re right. We actually weed out people using the description in our post. Then we speak with them on the phone. It wastes a ton of time.
We’ll rent it soon, we’re just super picky because we live next door.
Glad to see you tonight! I’m not a fb person either. I agree that social media gives people a way to be rude, and not care. It doesn’t sound like it’s really worth it, imo.
I only used it as a means of free advertisement. It feels like more trouble than it’s worth so far.
More importantly, I wish you the best of luck for your job interview. You’re so experienced that they’d be crazy not to want you!
Wearing at least 10 sprays of YR My Green Summer. Definitely gone in 60 seconds; maybe less, so this definitely applies.
