Cire Trudon Elae & Medie ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 12 July 2019 4 Comments

Cire Trudon has launched Elae and Médie, two new fragrances. Elae and Médie were developed by perfumer Yann Vasnier.

Elae ~ "Elae wears its femininity like a luminous offering: it unfolds like a bouquet of white petals with woody notes, filled with warmth and tenderness. Of proud descent, Elae is embedded, through her Latin name, with the protective aura of Diana, goddess of the hunt. A clear evocation of faraway lands that need to be conquered, Elae is fragrant with flowers yet bears a narcotic sensuality. Elae unfolds like a transparent floral perfume with light notes that float." With neroli, apple, bergamot, ylang, jasmine, tuberose, sandalwood, benzoin and akigalawood.

Médie ~ "Médie is a symphony of citrus: the perfume’s roots evoke the Antiquity and the kingdom of Alexander the Great, under which the province of Médie abounded with rare citruses. An oasis of freshness, Médie encapsulates the very heart of the fruit where citrus, spices and aromatic notes blend. In addition, bright green scents are combined with clear amber and woody notes, warmed up by a touch of incense. Composed like a citrus fragrance with an aromatic finish, Médie leaves a vibrant bitterness in the air." With grapefruit, green mandarin, angelica, jasmine, cypress, pepperwood, cedar, incense and akigalawood.

Cire Trudon Elae and Médie are available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I am excited to try these. They seem more mainstream than the original 5. Medie has all these lovely green/bitter/woodsy notes and sounds perfect for summer. Hopefully Elae will be a lush but airy floral with a backbone.

The first 5 were so good, so yeah, these are very tempting! But will never buy them in 100 ml.

I want to try these! But, yeah, not getting 100ml. Happy I got the coffret even though I only kept 3/5 (and not the ones I wanted the most initially!).

Yes…hopefully these will end up in those travel sizes!
