Hey, it's Hump Day! Also, World Environment Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm getting points in Ineke Idyllwild.
Reminder: on 6/7, wear a fragrance by Ineke, Imaginary Authors, il Profumo or i Profumi di Firenze, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter I.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Datura Noir Serge Lutens
Gorgeous! I do love that one. đ
Bear – I thought of you when I did my espresso shots and spin class today!
Thank you, SmokeyToes!
Caffeine and cardio, ROCK ON!
I am teaching my crazy little monkey and chubby buddha how to make espresso in the morning for me.
Excellent parenting.
Educational and providing daily benefits!
This is child labor!
They can also make you a cup!
Oh well, in that case… (tips with small stuffed animals)
You smell wonderful.
Thanks Petunia!
Good weather for BWFs right now. (I’m assuming that’s what Datura Noir is.)
Tuberose, jasmine, coconut, almond. BWF is correct, Jalapeno.?
Hermes Hiris! Love forever!
I adore this one, and that cobalt blue bottle…… love!
That blue bottle is to die for! đ
Peony & Blush Suede.
I’m in Hermes again today, this time in L’Ambre des Merveilles. Every time I wear it I wonder why I don’t reach for it more often – wrist will be near nose all day. đ
Oh same — it is so good.
I third this, though I have been reaching for it more often lately after a year of almost never wearing it.
Same here! It languished patiently on the shelf, feeling neglected while I dallied with newcomers, and it’s now wafting smugly off my wrist. Luckily my coworkers are used to my “perfumista salute” đ
Thatâs a great name for it! I often think other drivers must think Iâm insane as I sniff my wrists.
I wanted something very green today and went for Gucci Envy.
You inspired me to look at my FB and see if there are more that are near thunking…I have more than a few
Shocking, my bottle of Coco is one of them!
Also shocking is that seeing those bottles nearing empty just makes me want to buy more perfume….
L’Artisan Mont de Narcisse — second day in a row.
I so want to try this. I wonder when it will make its way to the US. It seems like recent L’Artisan releases are hit or miss whether they make it to the US. Maybe I’m just not looking in the right places?
I got a sample in the US, canât remember which sample/decant site but it was one of the usual suspects.
Ahh thank you! Doing a search just now I see it’s at Beautyhabit and Saks. I’ve been basing my search on Luckyscent. I think Beautyhabit still does a sample program, so I will look into it there.
Barqsâs comment reminded me that I actually did get the sample direct from LâArtisan website. Looks like you found some other sources, too, though!
Hope you like it. A little too fleeting for me.
A few months ago, L’Artisan was offering to send two free perfume samples via their online store/website. Mont de Narcisse was one of the samples I chose. I received MdN sample and loved it immediately, but kept sampling it. Eventually I bought a full bottle.
The other scent sample I ordered was Bucoliques de Provence, which I also loved. I had to decide between the two of these though. Maybe I’ll buy BdP another time, because it is also a very beautiful scent.
Those two are my favourites of this paysage or whatever it’s called collection. I own Bucoliques but really, really want a bottle of Mont de Narcisse.
Sleepy again! I can never get myself to bed on time, night time is just so much more fun than daytime.
I’m wearing Devin in the vintage version, which is stronger for sure than the modern one, but also doesn’t project as much so I’m torn… which probably means I must simply wear both next time.
yeah, I stayed up 3 hours past bedtime last night, perfume, jeans and a t-shirt are all I could pull together today. Good thing perfume is so quick right?
Same here! Too much binge watching late at night. I need a mom to come make me go to bed đ
Ugh, I know the problem well. My fiance is out of town so I’m responsible for getting MYSELF to bed on time, which is, geez, really freaking hard. (He’s much more disciplined than I am, and is much better at enforcing a reasonable bedtime.) Good luck staying awake!
Joining you in the sleepy club! Though my new Vietnamese coffee has 40% more caffeine apparently.
I agree that night time is more fun, even if I’m not working during the day. My brain just seems to wake up at night and is flooded with ideas and grand plans, lol.
Me too! I am always saying want to go to bed earlier (b/c: really, anything I do after 8PM is NOT productive), but then I am always ignoring my bedtime alarm…
In Omnia today
Sheesh, getting a lot of use out this bottle
Omnia is always an excellent choice?
Quarter points in eau d’Italie Paestum Rose.
Today is going to be an awful day at work, almost entirely devoted to organization. In grad school/undergrad, we would have a labwide cleanup twice a year, but I thought I had left that behind when I left the world of academia. Sigh.
Tomorrow I head out to Boston for my 10-year college reunion + seeing my parents in MD!
You smell great Koyel! And hope it is a fun trip.
Thanks, Robin!
Koyel, I would rather see a lab have cleanup twice a year than not at all! ?
Safe travels, and enjoy your college reunion! â
Hahaha, you have a good point đ Thanks, Jalapeno!
Iâm in Delizia di Marshmallow today which is the latest from Kyse and available now on her website. ? a floral marshmallow to my nose.
I have no affiliation with the brand just trying to spread vanilla awareness anywhere I can. ?
Somebody has to do it đ
Looking forward to sniffing that one in October. Meanwhile I am joining you in vanilla goodness with Tihota. đ
It’s hot today, and I amtrying to stay cool in Herba Fresca.
Was hoping for another gorgeous day like yesterday…but hot and hazy here too.
Herba Fresca is so refreshing !
Started the day with low-commitment Demeter Dandelion. Just reapplied for more low-commitment fun
Demeter’s Flower Show is a favorite low-commitment fragrance of mine.
SOTD is Estee Lauder’s Azuree, herbal/earthyleathery/mossy goodness. I tried the new Aveda Sap Moss shampoo and conditioner, it’s a little drying for my curly hair, but it has a fantastic oak moss note!
Two espresso shots & a spin class and I’m ready to go today!
I also have curly hair, on the dry side.
What shampoos work for you?
I use either Joico Color Endure (red bottle) or Joico Moisture Recovery (blue bottle). It probably sounds gross, but I wash my hair once a week, and the other washes are done using conditioner and wetting the hair down really well.
Between swimming in a chlorinated pool, menopause and being 75% gray, my hair is pretty dry but I’m not ready to go natural/gray just yet! đ
For a leave-in conditioner, I love Cantu Coconut Curling Cream, which you can purchase at Target for $6. For styling, I make my own spray in shine spray, I put 30% glycerin, 60% water and 10% aloe gel in a spray bottle and spritz for conditioning and shine.
For a make your own hair gel, I use, 2 cups of water, 2.5 tablespoons Flax Seeds, Πcup Aloe Vera Juice, 1 teaspoon Grape Seed Oil, 2 capsules Vitamin E Oil (preservative).
Soak the Flax Seeds in the water for an hour or two, gently boil for 10 minutes. The texture/thickness should be like egg whites and a little âslimyâ I strain the gel and add the Aloe Vera Juice, Grape Seed Oil and Vitamin E. I put it in a spray bottle and keep it in the fridge so it lasts longer.
Thanks for all these information!
I will look into those shampoos and I only wash my hair every other day.
I tend to have dry hair but an oily scalp
You’re welcome!
Another tip, to avoid frizz, I don’t towel-dry my hair (the fibers lift the hair follicles), I use an old T-shirt instead.
Jumping in to say thanks for the DIY haircare recipes! I’m currently growing out a pixie cut and am hoping that a little extra length will encourage my natural wavy texture to come out.
I’ll also add this DIY sea salt spray recipe that I like to use: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/diy/diy-sea-salt-texturizing-hair-spray/
thanks! This looks great!
Partial points?
I sprayed a bit my bottle of ‘a scent by issay miyake’, but just a bit. Have an appointment with my occupational therapist to get my thumb braces fitted. I don’t want to overwhelm her.
A green, but definitely a gentler green than Gucci Envy.
I really like the bottle design of ‘a scent’ . I hope your appointment goes well
Sampling Hiram Green’s Lustre. I love the smell of natural rose absolutes but most rose-centric perfumes turn sour on my skin. I have the feeling that this one won’t, and the quality of the rose oil he used is absolutely stunning. That being said, right now it’s quite simply smelling like a rose soliflore (albeit gorgeous as such) and I’m not sure if it will develop into anything more as it wears. I’ll update later.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Lustre, really looking forward to sniffing it. Rose often goes sour on me too unfortunately.
Oh dear, I’m feeling rather sheepish as it disappeared after 3 hours which is a first for me. It went from rose to a very mild vegetal orris. Tomorrow I’ll use a lot more, and add a dab onto clothes.
Interesting – one of the reviews I read said it was too transparent, which I guess means light/fleeting. Let us know how it works out with heavier application!
Wearing a whole lot of Agua de Colonia Concentrada on this warm, humid day. Fresh, herbal-lemony goodness.
Our heat finally broke with a decent thunderstorm. Hope your AdC kept you cool!
I’m in Memoirs of a Trespasser, my 3rd and last day in a row of Imaginary Authors. Tomorrow and Friday will be Ineke and/or i Profumi de Firenze. Memoirs is really good. Definitely my favorite that I’ve tried of theirs.
I’m in a bit of a midweek slump mostly due to a headache caused by allergies and shoulder/neck pain. I’ll take some Advil after I finish my breakfast and use my heated neck pillow. I’m sure I look goofy with it on at work, but I don’t care.
Ugh, so sorry!
Thanks, but I feel a lot better now!
Advil twins today. Mine was for cranky knees,
Random recommend from a stranger, that may or may not be relevant to your neck situation: I swear by a millet (or, alternately, buckwheat) pillow. Eliminated pain I was having from sleeping. It will support your neck without collapsing or propping your head up at a weird angle… Have slept with one exclusively for nearly 10 years.
Thanks, I will look into that. I also really need a new mattress.
If anyone cared about keeping track of CP points, Iâm sure Iâd be at the very bottom of the totem pole. Still out of sync in Chinchilla by DSH. SO lovely!! ??ââïž
Grey day with threats of rain, but Iâve been astounded by the beautiful weather since Iâve been here. Not at all what I was expecting, and Iâm pleasantly surprised by it. ??
Appreciating your iconoclastic perfume choice this AM. Too warm here to join you, but you do smell lovely!
Nobody is keeping track!
We appreciate that you smell great Deva! ?
Kai perfume oil that I tried at Anthropologie.Very nice for warm weather.
Very nice !
Ineke Gilded Lily, which actually feels perfect for whatâs about to be a hot day.
Field Notes on Monday, and went commando yesterday as I was up at 4:30 to cat h a flight… then napped all afternoon once I made it home.
Hope you are all rested up MissGoldsmith!
MissGoldsmith, I saw your comments in yesterday’s SOTD post earlier this afternoon about Ineke. I think, but am not sure, that I tried A – E, and maybe liked Chemical Bonding. But that was several years ago, and I don’t trust my memory on that. And I didn’t take any notes at that time.
Iâm not very good about taking notes. I also feel very inadequate to describing a scent, especially when compared to some of the excellent writers in this sphere…
Ineke Hothouse Flower today. During my commute, I thought I might suffocate under the floral sweetness, but by the time I got to work, it had mellowed nicely. It’s pretty, and I’ll wear my sample, but I don’t need more.
That was about my take on it too.
I third that opinion!
Happy Wednesday!
A mild, coolish morning, so am in Boucheron, which can be really rather nice in summer (if you spray lightly in a mist).
Wearing Papillon Dryad. I have to be in the mood for bitter greens, but this week seems to be that week.
I’m looking forward to the new Papillon release (Bengal Rouge)! Sounds like an oriental rose.
Me too! I love the whole Papillon line.
I think Salome is the only one I can’t quite wear.
Ooh! A new Papillon! I’d heard that something new was coming, but you’ve provided some concrete information đ
She posted about it on Instagram- you could practically smell it from the photograph ?
An oriental rose sounds lovely!
Craving roses so Gris Montaigne.
You smell gorgeous.
Beautiful!
Got in the elevator this morning to head to dentist and a woman in there seemed to be wearing a quite lovely, somewhat (to me) fresh scent. I didnât comment. We both headed out and saw the bits of rain coming down, so we headed back to the elevator to get our respective umbrellas. This time I asked. She said it was Thierry Mugler. I donât know Mugler weâll eniugh to realize the follow up should have been, âwhich one?â Any thoughts?
Of course it reminded me I was commando, so I did some spritzes if OJ Champaca. I smelled good at the dentist. (Who told me things looked fine…yay!)
The only “fresh” Mugler scent I can think of off the top of my head is Mugler Cologne, which is neroli-citrus-white musk, and it is heavenly.
On second thought, Mugler recently came out with a whole line of flankers for the cologne that I haven’t smelled yet. Could also have been one of those.
It might also be one of those Mugler Les Exceptions fragrances.
Hello Y’all,
Fighting the hot humid “bout to rain” weather here in D&G Light Blue Italian Zest. I’m 5 hours in and it’s still smelling quite nice…..
Chanel Beige edt. Now that I’ve worn this as my work signature for a few weeks, i love it even more than i did when i bought it. It’s so lovely, so Chanel. Honey, flowers, sticks around forever (1 spray down front of my top).
I have *almost* purchased Beige twice now. I suspect it is very versatile, but it’s more understated than I usually reach for. . . I suspect some day I will give in.
Happy to report straight from Paris that Les Eaux de Chanel are now available in 50 ml format as well. I also smelled Paris-Riviera. Nice but not as good as the trio.
The interview went well. Now need to wait for the results.
Goodluck Lucasai, fingers crossed for u!
I’m so happy to hear you feel good about the interview! Whatever comes next, it will be good knowing you presented yourself well! Say “bonjour” to Paris for me. ???
That is good news, it feels great when an interview has gone well. I hope it all works out the way you want.
LâTemp dâune Fete today, I realised this morning that itâs been neglected this spring, so remedying that!
Smelling great!
Gave FM’s Promise another test run last night, and it is still going strong mid-day the next day. Still unable to think intelligently enough to write for work, so am spending the day getting the house ready for the relatives arriving on Fri for my son’s high school graduation (I just wrote ‘wedding’ instead of ‘graduation’–shows my level of stress!! Okay, fixed that.)
On the horizon: My hyper-judgy in-laws, plus my extremely opinionated aunt, plus my parents and their new spouses meeting for the first time…. plus hot weather and little parking … My high school graduation was such a non-event that my parents, who were probably fighting, left quickly. I called them from a payphone to tell them my friend from school had invited me out to dinner (Spenger’s for anyone from around here back in the day!) with her family, so I’d be home late.
My post-shower perfume plan for the moment is Azemour Les Orangers.
Ugh. So sorry about the impending family drama! My family is a challenge, too, and it makes most celebrations fraught, or at least carrying the potential to be fraught. Much harder to properly celebrate that way. I hope it goes more smoothly than anticipated!
Fragrance has been one of my coping mechanisms in such situations–take a furtive sniff of my wrist when things get nuts, and it helps ground me.
That does NOT sound great, but hang in there! Congratulations to your son!
I hope the graduation goes beautifully, with less family stress than you anticipate!
Either way, huge congratulations to your son.
Oh, dear. I hope everyone can behave for your son’s sake. And congrats to him!
Congratulations to your son!?
I hope everything goes fine and that you all enjoy such a special occasion. Sending good vibes!
Big congratulations on and to your newly minted high school graduate!
Congratulations to your son! I hope everything goes smoothly.
Good luck with all that. Hope it goes well.
I had an awkward âdivorced parentsâ situation at my cousinâs wedding on Sunday: someone thought it would be a good idea to seat me, my parents and their spouses at the same table. Alone. Yeah, itâs been 40 years since the split, my step-dadâs been around for 40, step-mom for 20, they donât spit daggers at each other and can remain civil. But would they be each otherâs choice for dinner conversation? Heck no.
I am feeling an urge to chop my hair off today. I suspect it is boredom from all of this sitting around the house, although I felt this urge last summer, too. . . Thing is, I am not feminine enough to enjoy doing my hair, so I have kept it long because it is the lowest maintenance. I can cut it three times a year and not look sloppy. I can put it back in a pony tail and be done. But I’d look cute in a pixie cut. I did it back in college for a while. But then, I’m back to a hair cut every 6 weeks. And gel is usually required to keep it cute and under control. Ugh.
SOTD is Au Dela. I really like the sharp weirdness of narcissus. I miss the old formulation of SSS Nostalgie which had it front and center in the top notes.
??â???â???â???ââïž
I’m the opposite of you, at the middle stage of growing my hair out after years of pixie cuts which I love, but yes they are high-maintenance and expensive. My now-gray hair is sort of frizzy and it’s thick and not yet long enough for a pony tail so I’m just trying to last another month or two of summer heat and humidity without dashing into the salon to have it cut off. I wish you strength. Sometimes changes are good though and it might be a pick-me-up for you after your recent surgery and long recovery.
Yes, the prospect of growing it out again, if I decide it was the wrong decision, is definitely part of the hairstyle math! I know that feeling of just wanting it off the back of your neck–those in-between lengths are really a bother that way. I remember wearing a lot of scarves as headbands last time I grew my hair out, trying to sweep the little hairs up and away from my face.
If you want to keep the length for ease of styling, but also want some weight off the back of your neck, maybe you’d like a style that is undercut at the nape? It’s a bit edgy, but I love the look! Some examples: https://www.google.com/search?q=undercut+nape&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjmsMC3j9PiAhUBa60KHcv9CakQ_AUIECgB&biw=1578&bih=873&dpr=2
I’ve been having the same hair thought and actually have an appt tomorrow. But totally identify with everything you said about short hair, which I used to have in my 20s-early 30s. It was a pain and growing it out was like the awkwardness of puberty all over again.
Anyway, I’ll probably only take off 2 inches, lol.
And you smell great today!
Only taking off two inches, LOL–that was my “solution” last summer! Maybe it was even more than that? I have a lot of hair. . .
If you go for it, do let me know tomorrow!
I will! In all actuality, I’m going to do this cut (which I already have but not as nice) with a sharper angle so shorter in the back than the photo.
https://www.google.com/search?q=medium+angled+shaggy+bob&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwiQ8euuxtPiAhXqdN8KHTgdB6oQ2-cCegQIABAB&oq=medium+angled+shaggy+bob&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-img.3…28503.30791..31827…0.0..0.117.713.2j5……0….1………0i67j0j0i5i30j0i8i7i30j30i10j33i10.LjFAP8LKbZQ&ei=i1f4XND_OOrp_Qa4upzQCg&bih=572&biw=360&client=ms-android-sprint-us-revc&prmd=isvn#imgrc=3ICFkgY7y7eVnM
Hmmm. Not quite the link I wanted, but if you see this, you’ll get the idea.
Cute! Some kind of mid-length bob seems like it could be a good compromise. You can grow it out a bit more between cuts and still pull it back.
WELL, I just mentioned to Mr. Spicebomb that I’d been fighting the urge to chop my hair off, and the plaintive response was, “I like your hair.” So, a clear and definitive “no” vote from the hubby. . . ?
It’s been quite a few years since I have had short hair, but I totally understand the urge to hack it all off at some point. Getting cuts every 4 to 6 weeks sure puts a damper on things, though. Good luck with whatever you decide for hair options.
And my preferred stylist has very few evening appointments. . .
Still failing to adapt to winter here. I am a morning oerson so get up between 4.30 and 5 which is good for star gazing, I guess but dog walking on the hill around 7.30 is becoming a farce as my dog insists I throw pinecones and all that happens is that they bounce off into the undergrowth and the dog can’t see them as its pretty much pitch black and I end up on my hands and knees in the gorse bushes while being barked at. Yesterday it was so cold and windy the forest smelt of fresh fish and it only slowly dawned on me that the huge southerly was blowing the smell of the sea up the hill…jeez it was cold. My walk ended with me lugging a dumped supermarket trolley up the final part of the track…it was all very wuthering heights for the 21st century. Wearing Aqaba (Gaynor , thanks) ,
Your description of being out with the dog is laugh-out-loud funny, and topped off by the air smelling like fish, ha ha!
Your morning walk sounds like a challenge! What do think of Aqaba? It was just a bit too sweef for me.
It’s a bit of a sweet cinnamon doughnut on me but thanks for the sample
Your dog walk story is hilarious, especially the bit where you are looking in the bushes while being barked at. They do have rather one tracked minds, bless them.
I do get to see the most amazing sunrises – today the sky was the colour of ruby grapefruit and the hills glowed like hot embers
The supermarket trolley is the perfect crowning glory. Surprised the dog didn’t jump in for a ride.
It was still there today so I loaded it in the car and took it back to the supermarket
Thanks for the delightful laugh!
My SOTD is I Profumi di Firenze Catarina de’ Medici and I love it. It’s such a great fresh floral citrus peach blend. For us in our hot humid climate it makes a wonderful summer perfume–I should wear it more often. I was surprised today to notice a similarity to HdP 1873 (Colette); and yes, it turns out they DO have somewhat similar compositions with orange, peach, and lily-of-the valley. I don’t really get much of the iris from Catarina, though others describe that as the dominant note in it. We’ve just been through another “Rain Event” in Houston with flash flood warnings; so far so good right here, and I even saw a patch of blue sky, so perhaps this will pass, though it’s still awfully gloomy out.
How is your mum doing? I hope she is feeling more settled. And I hope you get some sun soon.
Yay for finding a scent that works in your very hot and humid weather. That’s no mean feat!
Woke up really late today and kind of threw my day off. It’s gray and rainy today. Spent the rest of the morning in vintage BaV and now I am in Lyric.
Same! Up too late, did not get breakfast until 10:30, whole day is off kilter.
Woke thinking I might be coming down with a stomach bug, but fortunately it hasn’t turned out that way at all.
So I’m wearing one of my favourite perfumes for an off day, Balle de Match, known these days as Eau des sports. It’s gorgeous.
Yay for no stomach bug. Probably Balle de Match cured it đ
Glad to hear that you don’t have a stomach bug after all.
SOTD is the lovely Ta’if.
Purchased Paris – Riviera last night, I think I will decant that and take on Africa trip along with a decant of Assam Tea. Then I will hit duty free in Amsterdam on the way home.
You smell lovely apsara!
Continuing my week of roses since I don’t have any brands starting with I. Today is Keiko Mecheri Gourmandises (thanks to LisaD). It is such a delicious, jammy rose. My hubs really likes it too, which doesn’t surprised me since he loves Noir de Noir so much. He actually asked me this AM what I was wearing- he said it smell almost like my NdN but not quite. I was impressed!
So has the Gourmandises gone onto your FB wishlist?
In theory, yes haha! My FB list is ever growing and I already have Noir de Noir so I donât know if I NEED Gourmandises but Iâd happily wear it if it fell into my lap!
Thunked a small sample of Beachy by Lilli Pulitzer, which was nice in the heat.
Glad to hear your new job is going well. I bet you are the best smelling employee by far
It’s been very warm where you are at, right tannina?
Yes, it was over 30 Degrees celsius
SOTD = Aftelier Alchemy
I = Indie
Mandy posted the most gorgeous silver watch case on IG yesterday. Itâs for her personal use.
Some things I assumed to be the case but was proven to be wrong: after leaving Vatican City, we decided to walk around the little streets and lo and behold, there were priest haberdasheries! I always thought that priestsâ garments were supplied by the church (not an allowance) and thereâs a storage room full of clothes in various sizes; special garments are handed down from generation to generation. That said, there was one shop that was next to a barbershop that was next to a bar. I feel like Iâve heard a joke about that some time in the past!
Olive trees only bear fruit every 2 years!
I don’t think I’ve ever given it any thought, but I suppose it makes sense that priests would need to have a source for their “work uniforms,” just like the rest of us. Good for you for going exploring off the beaten path! My favorite parts of Rome (the city, not the monuments) were far away from the tourist paths.
I love olive trees! That is my profile picture–olives in California. I tried to root a couple stems to bring back north with me, but no luck.
And my little dog at the co-worker is that she kept calling it Oliver trees. I tried to correct her by saying âOh, you mean olive trees?â and she would say âYes, Oliver trees.â After 3 times, I gave up and also told my sister to not bother correcting her.
Priest haberdasheries! It makes sense when one thinks about it… after all, auto mechanics have their uniforms supplied by somebody. But that (the priestly garments) sounds much more charming.
Still somewhat sunny here today, but the humidity has rolled in like an unwanted blanket. And storms are in the forecast for late tonight. Oh well… it could be much worse. Right now, I’d call the weather annoying.
SOTD = back in Diptyque Tempo again. It doesn’t mind this weather one bit.
Nice! I hope this humidity breaks!
Thanks! I am hoping that the humidity clears out too. It’s too soon for it to show up IMO.
YOU GUYS I’M GOING TO SEE/SMELL THE CORPSE FLOWER AT THE AMAZON SPHERES TONIGHT!
Wow, a rare occurrence!
Excellent! I would like to experience that someday. Just to say that I have seen/sniffed a corpse flower.
Sounds dreadful! Have a wonderful time!
This morning before work I put on a swipe of Il Profumo Aria di Mare; something in the background said “no, not today”.
So my SOTE is Civet by Zoologist from a recent sample. Wow, this is spicy and powerful! I didn’t get any citrus in the opening but it could be because it’s a dabber, not a spray. Not quite to the drydown yet, so I will see how it progresses.
Commenting so belatedly that it’s not even Wednesday anymore! However, I wore Hermes Un Jardin sur le Nil today.
Note for Old Herbaceous: ‘Sharifa Asma’ had a couple of flowers last week, and ‘Teasing Georgia’ has dozens of flowers.
I spotted an Elissa-rabbit near my ‘Leda’ rose, and said, “Shoo!” The ‘Leda’ rose is what seems to be the U.S. version of white and red. There’s a pink and red variety, too, from what I understand.
