It’s World Press Freedom Day and Sun Day, and possibly even better, it's Friday. Our community project for today: wear lily of the valley for May Day, which was earlier this week.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I'm went with the lovely Hermès Muguet Porcelaine, which has already made a good showing in the comments this week.
Reminder: on 5/10, wear a fragrance by Heeley, Hiram Green, Histoires de Parfums or Honoré des Prés, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter H.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Odalisque!
Yaaaaay friday!!!
Ah, you found your LOTV after all!
Me too!
So…
Body talc: Yardley Lily of the Valley
Perfumes:
Kenzo Parfum d’Ete (2002 edition)
Rouge Bunny Rouge Vespers
Balenciaga B. Balenciaga (still can’t smell LOTL here, but it’s listed)
Do I win anything?
You are the biggest winner today!?
Thorough! 🙂
Parfum d’Ete has been added to my wish list because of this week.
You win just for owning Yardley LOTV talc, in my opinion 🙂
That’s a LOTV bouquet!
No. 19 edp, thanks to a generous swapper. Does this have lily in it?
No sun for the fourth day in a row. May flowers, please?
According to Fragrantica it does!
Diorissimo! Happy Friday everyone!
perfection! 😀
No doubts! ?
Happy Friday to you too!
?♀️❤?
We’re twins.
Hi twin! We smell wonderful!
You smelled great all day!
UBAR Amouage
Highly compliment inducing perfume!
You smell fab!
Don’t Get Me Wrong Baby, Etat Libre d’Orange – the only obviously LOTV fragrance I own.
Good morning and TGIF! FriYAAAAAAY!!!!
Wearing the softest lily of the valley I know…..Philosophy Amazing Grace. This was my oldest daughter’s very 1st scent; she’s on her 2nd bottle now. Beautiful stuff. Sometimes it’s the understated soft perfumes that shine the best!
By the way, taking that oldest gal to a college orientation/welcome party this weekend…..one more step towards letting her go and fly out of the nest. (Come August, she’s going to Columbus State Univ, about 2 hours away, so I’m grieving a little bit already!)
Amazing Grace is so pretty, I need to get a mini at Ulta. And hugs for helping your fledgling out of the nest, I remember how hard that was.
Amazing Grace! how sweet the sound. That’s such a pretty name, and I’m a music teacher so I must try this one some time. I’ve seen it but never smelled it. 😉
Yep. We spend their whole lives trying to teach them to fly, and then the do. The same with my oldest son.
In other random commenting–Amazing Grace. Has anyone seen the Aretha Franklin documentary? I can’t wait! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypHZbtqSU48
I did! It was great! Aretha was 29 when this was made. Besides her amazing singing, and the choir and musicians as well, I really enjoyed seeing the people in the congregation… Their expressions, the dancing, the clothes and hairstyles. I was 10 when this was made and found myself looking for children to see their reactions. Cool to see Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts in attendance, singing and clapping! I found it very uplifting 🙂
I can’t wait! I can’t wait (bounces in desk chair)!!
Haha! I hope you have fun and please report back!
Congrats to your daughter <3 Hope she enjoys the event.
I’m in Jour d’Hermes today. I don’t know if it has LOTV hiding amongst all its other flowers, but it might. 😀 Happy Friday, all you lovely scented NSTers!
Jour is such a lovely floral bouquet, you smell beautiful. There must be lotv in there somewhere 🙂
Ooh, you smell great.
Caron “Yatagan”. I have nothing with LOTV and I can’t say I feel the lack. I am in Málaga washing and ironing to get the place ready for my sister and her family. 21C here vs. 8C in The Hague where TOMK is shivering. Sadly we are only 1/3 of the way through our exile.
Meanwhile my current client has kind of run out of money and can only afford me 2 days a week. I’m looking at options to sell the other 3 days but if I can’t sort it quickly I’ll have to move on.
I lost my travel card wallet in the airport somehow (probably at security) and, while replaceable travel cards are less painful to use than most things, I’m annoyed I had just topped my Dutch card up to €70. Grrr!
*less painful to LOSE.
It almost seems as if April and May have switched roles. You must be really glad to be able to spend some time in Spain.
Sorry about the loss of your wallet, such a nuisance.
Love Yatagan!
I’m sorry you’re shivering in exile. But at least it’s 1/3 closer to being finished!
Having done Diorissimo on Weds, I’m going with a blended LOTV today – Dior-Dior. This is frustrating me to be honest. I am wearing both parfum and EdT and getting almost no sillage; every now and then if I jam my nose right up against my skin I get an absolutely beautiful sort of tangy spring floral – almost like a crisp spring version of the heart of Terracotta? but it’s fleeting! Come back, great smell!
So gorgeous, though, with the narcissus! I have not smelled either form in years, and that is one I would buy in a heartbeat if I ever found bottles somewhere (in some dream world, obviously).
I’m doing Diorissimo today. Some current(ish) EDT and some vintage extrait de parfum from a tiny bottle I got on eBay when madness first struck me. I really ought to finish it, as I think it might be turning. Dry down is still stunning.
Twins, very wise to use the extrait while it hasn’t turned completely.
I’m wearing a 30-40 year old Crabtree & Evelyn Lily of the Valley. I got it for a present many years ago and wear it maybe a couple times per year. In Texas we don’t see LOTV, but we do have magnolias blooming right now.
Enjoy the magnolias, such an intoxicating scent.
Wearing En Voyage Fiore di Bellagio today which has lotv listed in it’s notes. Very pretty spring scent.
I still have not tried that one, and it does sound so pretty.
OJ Sampaquita, because it has notes of muguet and that wonderful Ormonde Jayne base.
The sun (finally!) made an appearance for Sun Day!???
Enjoy the sun!
Thanks!
Turn a fan on and see if the sun will blow my way!?
Ha, ditto!
Lol, I will try!
In the end I felt like Queen instead of LOTV, so that’s what I am wearing. It’s my birthday weekend – tomorrow is the day, but I prefer to celebrate for more than one measly day! Happy Friday, all.
Doesn’t seem to be that popular, but if I had some Vogue 125, I would wear that for the LOTV note
Happy Birthday weekend!!
Enjoy your birthday weekend!
birthdays should last as long as you want! have a happy day 😀
Ooh! Happy birthday weekend!
Happy Birthday! Hope the whole weekend is great!
Happy Birth Weekend!
Many happy returns.
Happy Birthday! I believe in celebrating for the whole month, and May is a nice long one!
Happy Scented Birthday! Enjoy your weekend revels! ????
Hope you have a great birthday weekend! Enjoy!
Thanks, all!!
Hope you have a good birthday weekend!
I really dislike muguet in fragrance so I’m skipping the community project today.
Wearing new Parfums Dusita Splendiris today. It’s divine!
I’m looking forward to hearing more about this. The bottle is gorgeous.
Tauer Carillon pour Une Ange. I have a sample of this – the Tauer samples need no more than two sprays on my skin, so they last forever. I kind of forgot about this one, but I really like it.
Yes, its lovely!
And……You gave it to me in the swapmeet. 🙂
Urgh this was supposed to be a reply to Austenfan somewhere above… Sorry!
I entirely forgot!
And obviously did discover your comment.
🙂
I am really happy with those Goutal samples! Great stuff!
Didn’t think I had anything with LOTV, but very much as a surprise LOTV is listed as a note in Putain de Palaces and I have a sample!
Points then!
Joining various CP twins, siblings, and distant cousins in Diorissimo. It’s from a decant that I got in an NST swap some time ago. Still smell lovely.
A new big project ahead of me for work, but not scary like the last one. This one will take me several months–however this is work I enjoy so smiles all around.
And, dispensing with humble bragging—I made such an awesome dinner last night. Am trying to include much more plant-based protein in my family’s diet, to mixed enthusiasm. Last night I made from scratch (from dried chickpeas originally!) felafels, tzatziki, tahini sauce, and homemade lemony hummus, that I served with pita bread, chopped cherry tomatoes, avocados (it is California!), and feta cheese (I know, I know… but it made the kids happy). Two teenage boys and one hungry husband did not once ask me “where is the main dish?” A very vegetable victory!
Your dinner sounds delish!
Wow. That sounds like an amazing meal!
I’m glad you have a great new work project to look forward to.
If I could, I would eat that dinner every night!
Congratulations on what sounds like an awesome meal.
Made from scratch falafel! YUM! Feel free to shout that from the rooftops. ?
I know, right!
Yum! Now you’re making me hungry…
Your veggie meals sound absolutely fantastic! I love anything made with chickpeas; so versatile. We make quinoa salad all the time with similar ingredients.
And congratulations on a project that you can enjoy doing.
Not a LOTV fan, so I’m in Angélique Noire. Happy Friday!
Plenty of non-fans today 🙂
SotD = Muguet Porcelaine
I’ve been looking forward to wearing MP all week. Robin, I’ve been hoping you would wear it too, you made my day. 😀
Even wearing just a few swipes from a sample, this is the scent that might inspire me to buy more perfume. I love the Hermessence perfumes, I love JCE, and I love Hermes’ little 15 ml travel bottle sets.
Go Friday! 😀
I also love those 15 ml sprays. What a great size and package!
Yes to Hermes’!
Hey twin!! Don’t we smell great.
Wearing Louis Vuitton Apogee from a sample procured at a Louis Vuitton store in Scottsdale. It’s pretty and very long lasting, but don’t love it enough to pay for it. Diorissimo is a better value.
🙂
I’m also not a fan of LOTV. I’m wearing La Tulipe, which I figure is close enough.
Happy Friday everyone!
Yes it is!
L’Artisan Mont de Narcisse. I am going to a tea party later on, and I have a baby blue dress with a French blue fascinator. Mont de Narcisse just seemed to fit my outfit for today.
Happy Friday !!
You smell good!
Your outfit sounds great.
I was not around the whole week and was clueless to the the project – wearing Ciel d’Opale, because it’s friendly and I’m going to be in close-ish contact with people today at work. Happy Weekend to everyone!
Btw., my “lost” package (last from the swapmeet) finally arrived – it took over 3 weeks to get there, but it did get here after all.
Oh yay for your wayward package!
I’m glad you finally got it. I can’t believe it took that long.
Sorry I never let you know! I’ve been working non-stop.
It’s okay — like I said, I’m just glad the package finally got to you. I know sometimes it’s easier to post a comment to the world in general than to write individual e-mails. 🙂
Have a good weekend!
Glad to hear that your wayward parcel arrived!
I’m fulfilling the LOTV challenge with a wee dab of Eau de Givenchy. Yesterday I wore Cap Neroli. Stopped to examine the LOTV plants in my neighbor’s yard this morning and they’re just starting to form buds.
In other happy flower news, I sniffed my first lilac of the season today! It’s the little things.
Oh, you smelled GREAT this week! And that first sniff of a Lilac spray is wonderful in spring!
I sniffed my first lilac of the season today too! It was white lilac even. More delicate and less powdery than purple lilacs to my nose. I’m glad we both got our noses on some.
Yay! The sun is out here today. I can see blue sky. I had forgotten what it looks like. Ahhh…
SOTD is vintage Diorissimo. I tried to look up the date of my bottle but the batch code on the box didn’t match anything. According to Raiders of the Lost Scent, my bottle is most likely from the 70s. Judging from clues on the bottle and the box… lovely stuff. I hosed myself down this morning, but can no longer smell it. Happy Friday!
We are scent twins!
Hi Twin! You smell lovely!
Soak up that sun, Petunia! ?
Well, I am at work but I am doing my best, short of lying on the counter beneath our windows.
Unfortunately, it is already cloudy again. It was nice while it lasted! Just heard next week is going to be another rain fest. Ugh….
Same here! I think a dry weekend, then a week of more rain! And still cold?
Scent and weather twins today!
Well apparently I hate Muguet Porcelain. I had only tried my decant once before and was definitely on the fence, but today I decided to go for it full force. Two sprays to each arm and my chest. Overwhelming melon and LOTV on me. I’ve already scrubbed it off at work the best I can. It seems I’m just not a fan of LOTV as a prominent note. I like it much better when it’s part of a floral blend.
So who wants my decant? It has evaporated some in the ~2 years I’ve had it. I think there is about 7ml left in a 10ml bottle and I’ve only used it twice. It would be great to trade a couple samples for it, but I will also just send it to someone.
In better news, looks like the New York Times online is free to read all weekend with no article limits in celebration of World Press Freedom Day.
In looking at LOTV scents listed on fragrantica, it seems LOTV is either prominent or not used much. I wonder if it is too dominant to use with many other notes.
In reading the NYT article that Robin posted today, I found this: “The scent of lily of the valley cannot be easily bottled. For decades companies that make soap, lotions and perfumes have relied on a chemical called bourgeonal to imbue their products with the sweet smell of the little white flowers. A tiny drop can be extraordinarily intense.”
That’s a cool promotion by the NYT! Thanks for the heads up.
Or you may just hate the melon!
I really hated the melon in Muguet Porcelaine.
That’s likely! The melon and LOTV combo just killed me this morning. It’s too bad because I love the melon in Apres la Mousson.
Not participating in the community project today. I wasn’t feeling Diorissimo today. I went with LADDM instead. My parents are leaving the 8th for California while I dog sit. It’s finishing leftovers and some fridge cleaning until then. We just don’t want the produce we have to go bad. My parents are doing the big stuff before they leave, bills that need to be paid, create a vacation budget among other things.
How long will they be gone?
They will be gone either 7 or 10 days, I can’t quite remember. But I am looking forward to having the house to myself.
It’s almost like a vacation for you too then ?
Wearing a sample of Mugler Supra Floral which fells like it has lily of the valley. It’s very, very pretty – I am telling myself I don’t need another spring perfume, especially one on the pricey side.
Does SF have any hint of gourmand? Caramel or flan-like notes? Or does it steer clear of foodiness?
Completely food free – it’s like a more-shy cousin of Chanel No. 19.
Ooohhh… (Mustering my best come hither look), that sounds very interesting.
But the price? Egads!
I’m curious about SF too. I read some good reviews. A split would be nice.
Sun Day, my foot! Lol. “They” say, tommorow, maybe. I’m participating in Miu Miu, the first one. The pepper in this makes it a little hard for me to wear, but it also makes it interesting.
It’s cloudy here now because I sent the sun your way. Although, I wish we didn’t have to share. ?
Aww… Thanks ??
I felt the same after trying Miu Miu. The word that kept coming to mind was “spiky”
Yeah, the opening is really sharp.
Hoping that you have sun tomorrow instead of rain and clouds! ☁☔
Let’s hope “they” are right!
Gap Grass & Demeter Dandelion. A happy combo and we’ve finally got sunshine!
What a neat idea! I’m remembering my childhood lawn…
Twins with Jiji in Odalisque. I wasn’t feeling the Diorissimo vibe this morning and that’s my only other LOTV, I think.
Steeling myself to ask for a perfume return at Marshall’s this afternoon. I bought what I thought was Burberry Brit Rhythm for $14, and though I’ve never sniffed it, Robin gave it a favorable review, and it was practically free. Well, in tiny letter, the box says “floral”, which makes it an entirely different perfume and one I can firmly say I do not enjoy.
Not sure I have any LOTV, so I’m comfort-seeking in Eau Duelle.
I’ve seen that bottle, it’s very easy to miss the Floral.
Report back on your “return” adventure. I have never returned perfume, and am wondering how it will go–but Marshall’s is such a big business, your $14 return won’t even be a whisper in the massive amphitheatre that is their bottom line.
Well drat! I don’t think I ever tried that one.
Hope that your perfume return trek went well!
Hope you were able to return your bottle. I’ve had good luck, no questions asked with returns there.
You just need to tell them you’re allergic and they will gladly give you your money back.
Happy Friday!
1) Am in Prada Infusion Pallida Muguet (from a mini bottle) – very, very pretty. Perfect for a cool morning that will turn into a warm afternoon.
2) Workers of the World, unite! The May Day protests and demonstrations in Portland were peaceful, fun and inclusive.
3) Long, sunny dry days, loads of lovely blossoms still, and leafy trees.
I bet you smell lovely.
I’m wearing Parfums DelRae Debut, which combines citrus with linden blossom and LOTV in a most pleasant way. Later this afternoon I’ll be going for a much-overdue haircut and then on to visit Mom in the senior living center.
Gorgeous!
Yep. C’mon DelRae, travel sizes already!!
Seems like maybe the brand is going defunct? Hard to find the full range at the usual suspects.
It’s going to feel really good to get that haircut! ✂
Hey friends, Muguet Porcelaine for the third time this week. It smells like biting into a marshmallow-y fruit that comes in a big pod growing on a tree from Hawaii. I think they called it a sausage tree? It appears to be called kigelia, and the unripe fruit appear to be poisonous, so I probably shouldn’t have eaten the pieces that my lab mate passed to me from the ground that summer I spent in Hawaii. Oh well, it turned out ok.
Having a lot of trouble concentrating at work. Today is Mayhem’s last full day and I will leave work as soon as I can (probably around 3pm) so I can spend as much time with him as possible. The home care vet will be coming tomorrow at 2pm. We have requested a few paw prints so that we can have a physical reminder of his sweetness. He hopped up on the bed this morning and we spent a long time scritching him and feeling him shove his warm, soft little head into our hands. He will be as dearly missed as he has been dearly loved.
It is awful to have to say goodbye to a pet. I wish you all the best for tomorrow!
I’m so terribly sorry for what you’re going through. Sending hugs.
Koyel, my heart is breaking for you. I am so sorry.
Koyel, sending you a big hug. I’m so sorry.
So very, very hard. I hope this evening gives you good memories.
I’m so sorry. I hope the love you’ve given him returns to you and comforts your heart.
Sending much love your way.
Oh, Koyel. My thoughts are with you. Hugs to you.
Sending you lots of hugs as you prepare to say goodbye to Mayhem. May it be a gentle passing surrounded by your love.
I’m also feeling tour heartbreak, Koyel. Big hugs to you.
Aw. My deepest sympathies. That’s going to be a rough weekend. Hugs for everyone in House Koyel.
I’m sorry about Mayhem.
Big hugs to you, Koyel. I hope Mayhem passes peacefully in a cloud of love.
Sending you hugs, Koyel.
The antithesis of spring in Bois de Iles
You smell wonderful!
Beautiful!
Sandalwood goodness!
Scent twins! This is also what I chose today.
Penhaligon’s Lily of the Valley. I got this one as a gift. It’s lovely but I don’t wear it too often, so I was glad to have a good reason to wear it.
Happy Friday to all!
Plus, such a pretty bottle 🙂
It is! And looks nice next to Ostara 🙂
Today I’m in my super special vintage Diorissimo, dated 1982. It belonged to my grandmother and I distinctly remember her smelling “like flowers” when I was a little child, in the late Nineties. She was a seamstress, and Christian Dior was her icon of fashion and style.
Her Diorissimo is unbelievably rich, and I treasure every drop of it.
Oh how lovely you have your grandmother’s Diorissimo!
That’s so sweet, but gads it makes me feel old. I remember buying Diorissimo in the long-closed Garfinkel’s in downtown DC, probably in 1981/82. So ladylike.
Like many in Diorissimo vintage EDT, it never disappoints.
Go Team Diorissimo!
I was planning to wear current Diorissimo EdP, but I got too lazy to pull things out of the cabinet to find it. So, it’s Sottile again for me, with a spritz of vintage Diorissimo on one arm.
I will say I’m not as fond of the LOTV opening. I prefer when it calms down.
Annick Goutal’s Le Muguet this morning. I was fairly congested from allergies, but from what I could tell, it was nice. I’ll give it another try when I’m not stuffed up.
Yuk on the allergies.
I like this time of year for all the flowers that are blooming, but I’m allergic to several kinds of tree pollen, and there have been days around here lately when the cars are dusted yellow with pollen from above and blowing around in the air. Trade off, I guess.
It was gray and cloudy today, but later in the afternoon it cleared up. I picked a couple of stems of pink lily of the valley. For this evening, I went with the Comme des Garcons Lily again. It’s a good time of year for it, I guess. 🙂 The ‘Maid of Orleans’ sambac jasmine (a.k.a. “sampaquita”) has a flower open, and a number of buds. It’s smelling quite floral here in the dining room. 🙂
Accustomed as I am to harmonize my fragrance not only with my mood but also with what’s going on outside my window, today’s cp was an easy one for me, since LOTV and lilac scents are favorites of mine in the month of May and I had several choices.
I chose Coty Muguet des Bois, one of the first fragrances I wore as a young teen years ago, one that brings back wonderful memories and one I still enjoy today.
I remember having a long-sleeved voile blue-and-green flower-sprigged shirt that I loved to wear with Muguet because they just seemed to go together.
As a student at a small, all-girls Catholic high school, May 1 was the special day we honored the Blessed Virgin Mary. A large statue of her graced one of our courtyards, and On that day we had a procession to the statue and placed a crown of flowers upon her head to honor her. ‘Oh, Mary, we crown thee with blossoms today . . . Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May.’ I still sing it to this day! And I always wore Muguet des Bois that day.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend filled with memorable moments ahead, along with memories from the past that comfort you and cheer you and warm your heart!
Nice high school memories! You smell wonderful!
Coty Muguet de Bois is a favorite scent of a friend of mine. She has fond memories of it as well.
Great perfume choice, and such lovely memories!
Chanel No19 EdT vintage, it has lost some top notes, but otherwise okay. Topped it up at the drugstore with chloe nomade.
Made Verbandes caramel chicken with rice and peas for dinner, a new recipe from a cookbook i can really recommend… Diana Henry , A Bird in the hand, Perfect for chicken lovers
Ooohh that sounds good!
Caramel chicken? Intriguing!
I’m not so keen on lily of the valley fragrances, although I love the flowers. My mother grew them, and I remember the huge excitement when she got a pink one.
We’re moving furniture today because we have a plasterer coming next week, I recommended him to a work colleague and now there is competition in getting him in. I should have waited!
I’m accompanying my furniture moving with Safran Troublant – it came to mind because the bottle is in one of the cupboards we’re moving 🙂
Miu Miu L’eau Bleue today. LOTV is not my favorite but I like this kind of peppery take on it.
That one has a gorgeous bottle if I remember correctly.
The bottle is really cute! Not sure I’ll need one after I finish this decant though.
Failing at the CP but smelling good in Le Temps d’une Fete.
You all, I almost just lost my mind at the social security office. Ugh. A drink is in order.
Get this woman a bourbon, stat!
Passing you a virtual margarita! ?
It’s their evil plan. They want you to lose your mind, so you forget why your there and they can tell you to come back later.
Wow! I have to read all your comments when I return home tonight!
SOTD IS Diorissimo 1985. Not vintage but as close as I can get. Thanks CM8 this was one of your older bottles. I ADORE this!
A perfect scent in every way.
A Glorious Friday To All!
You’ve got a lot of scent twins today!
Alternating between clouds and sun here. Nice temps, though! ??☁
SOTD = vintage Diorissimo EdT, from the sample stash. I had more LOTV scents that I thought I did, but this one demanded some skin time today.
Twins!
Glad to hear you had some sun today. Cloudy and in the 50’s here with some drizzle. No hopes for the sun to show up anytime in the near future. I guess we will jump from cold to insane heat! ☔⛱
Hello there twin! The weather forecast for my area is “unsettled” for the next few days, so I am glad that I had a bit of sun.
Wonderful, there were a lot of us wearing vintage Diorissimo today.
Boy, this day got away! Better late than never. Despite my many options, I opted for not-LOTV today. I instead tested out Astier de Villatte Grand Chalet (thanks rabbitsflower!), a lovely linden with a goodly dose of powdery heliotrope which was nice for a rather bone-chilling day (damp and cold, ick).
Heliotrope perfumes are rather comforting on damp and cold days, no matter what the season.
They are cozy! It was a good choice for today.
SOTD: Odalisque, by Parfums de Nicolai. Really beautiful floral green chypre.
Joining many with Diorissimo. I sprayed on a few blasts an hour ago.
Earlier today I had an appointment so I put on Guerlain Vetiver over some jasmine body butter as I didn’t want to overpower anyone. Then I went to my favorite garden centre with a fresh xl coffee to wander and pick out plants for my deck baskets and pots. I will be busy this weekend!
Happy Friday everyone!
SOTD is VCA Muguet Blanc. The weather here is dreary and really calls for something more cozy, but this one is really pretty. Planning to see Avengers Endgame this weekend. Luckily, no one has sent spoilers my way.
SOTD = Chanel No. 19 EDP
? Where did the time go? I am not an LOTV fan but i am participating anyway as it is listed in the notes for No.19!
You smell wonderful! I should wear No 19 before it’s too hot.
