Believe it or not, Monday is back. It's also Earth Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm on a brief Easter trip. At the moment my only scent is Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion, although really that's a fair amount of creamsicle all on its own.
Reminder: on 4/26 we're doing edition 4 of the picture challenge, part 1. Wear a perfume that matches the picture, which is Georgia O'Keeffe's My Shanty. You can read more about the painting here and here. There is a short bit on her time at Lake George here. (This is part 1 because we are going to do another O'Keeffe later in the year.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Hello everyone! Robin, I hope you’re having a lovely trip.
I’m in some vintage Private Collection Pure Parfum spray, chewy bitter green and a dense chypre base. They don’t make them like this anymore.
Very nice long weekend at the beach, yes, thanks! Weather not cooperating but there is still plenty to eat and buy
And they really don’t do chewy greens anymore.
I adore EL PC – such a gorgeous scent. Estee Lauder is truly an under rated perfume house. So many gorgeous ones in their roster.
Smokey Toes, is your comment specific to the vintage portfolio or to the mix of current and vintage?
I would say both current and vintage. EL has Youth Dew, YD Amber Nude, Private Collection and it’s flankers, Beautiful, Knowing, Aliage and Azuree (which if one were to repackage and rebrand Azuree, it could easily pass as a niche perfume).
I’m in the spring-in-a-bottle glory of Jour d’Hermes today.
That’s an all-time favorite. I especially love the richer parfum.
I haven’t tried the parfum version – sounds like I need to!
Yum. I said I was going to wear that last week so now I’m overdue.
Love it!!
I’m in Mona di Orio’s Violet Fumee.
I have to wear mine! This is perfect for spring and fall. It also fits this Friday’s CP!
I may be doing a week of L’Artisan this week since I don’t have the imagination needed for the picture projects.
I am struggling with this picture project too.
But which L’artisan are you in today?!
Do you have any St Clair Scents? As soon as I saw the painting I thought of Diane St Clair’s farm.
I don’t but that is a great idea!
I did not read the links and just looked at the painting. It brings to my mind an idyllic and serene place, a connection to nature, and I think it’s beautiful. St Clair Scents are very much connected to nature and use a high percentage of natural essential oils. I was also thinking that some of Laurie’s scents would work too…..Forest Walk, Jour Ensoleille, Violet Woods, Bees Bliss, etc.
CM8 I immediately thought of St. Clair perfumes for the CP too!
And now I read your next reply, and yes, SSS was another thought I had for the CP.
Great minds ??
I started with Mure et Musc.
The picture projects don’t inspire me either. But so far all the pictures have been ones I hadn’t seen before, so it’s good for my art education
I’m going to go with the angle of trying to be something you aren’t to satisfy conventional criticism. So maybe in that sense I have little to look forward to on Friday, ha!
Nice interpretation! Hmm, maybe I’ll wear EL Beautiful or something lovely and feminine and floral on Friday then!
If you have L’Artisan’s Bucoliques de Provence, that would fit the painting imo. Probably the others released in that group would as well, but Bucoliques is the only one I’m familiar with so far.
That was my thought. Both the name and the scent are fitting, IMO. I had a sample but have no idea where it is.
To match O’Keefe’s gray skies and the gray skies here this morning I’m wearing Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin.
Tigers Nest. Only four game of thrones left.
Wish they had one named Dragon’s Liar. Probably BPAL has one along those lines, I should check.
That might be a fun CP for those who are interested in Game of Thrones. Scent the characters…
How did you like last night’s episode? I am dreadfully worried about next week lol.
I would like a whiff of Jon Snow….Yep I watched twice.
next week is I think close to 90 minutes??
I’m in Zoologist Nightingale as I contemplate a mini purchase… trying to be better about fully using a sample before I upsize. I am SO excited about this week’s CP, the story that goes with the painting is just so delicious and if you haven’t clicked the links yet, I encourage it!
You’re right, the story is great!
Ha! And here Ibam thinking the story gave me a headache so I will go with the visuals and intertwine them with my experiences! ?
I love the painting CPs and discovering the stories. So cool. Thanks Robin
So glad, esp. since you bring us so many stories!
I read the links as you suggested and I can just imagine her epic mental eye-roll when they praised this painting!! The painting didn’t move me but the story really did! I’m going to have to do some thinking to match a fragrance to this one
And yet, it does not really seem totally ironic to me? That is, it is still a beautiful painting and has a real sense of an artist’s retreat to it, maybe. And the tree, that is still very much HER sort of tree.
TM Angel Fruity Fair
Another manic Monday so I went with Fleur de Peau.
That’s a good one for Monday, or really any day of the week. You smell lovely!
I agree. It’s so pretty and easy to wear.
Twins, one day apart!
You smell great!
Chanel 1957. I’m almost through my small decant already because it is so easy to wear and work friendly.
I agree!
?
Nice! Plus, you (or at least I)!have to spray a decent amount to make it last!
I do too. To my nose it is kind of like an Eau Premiere light- I get the same vanilla in the dry down of both. It has been my most worn scent for the past two weeks!?
I am in Mohur. I was hoping this would be more long-lasting with the warmer weather, but still very fleeting on my skin. I really like the opening though. Happy Monday all!
Oh I forgot to say that I did some sniffing at the local mall over the weekend and just loved Atelier Cologne’s Pacific Lime. I contemplated buying the travel spray but glad I didn’t because it also went poof within just one hour.
On the other hand, I also tried on Lancome’s Orangerie and that last forever and was over all pleasant.
I tried that in Sephora about a month ago and also really liked it—Pacific Lime, that is.
So glad you liked O de l’Orangerie, I wear it every summer, yes it is really lasting like many Lancomes, and I love how it develops from bitter to sweet.
In cool, damp, earthy Aromatics Elixir, which sort of matches the O’Keeffe painting–but not the wonderful nod and wink of the manly colors and the ambiguity of the open/not open shanty door.
You smell gorgeous!
Good stuff!
I had a decant mix-up this morning, so I’m in Eau de Neroli Dore instead of Corsica Furiosa, like I had planned. I’m not upset about it though!
I’m feeling a bit restless with the change in seasons, and a bit bored with work lately, so I’m thinking about setting a fitness goal to give myself something to work toward. Right now I’m leaning toward registering for a 5K. I’m not much of a runner, but the barrier to entry is so low (just a decent pair of running shoes and time/space to run – both of which I already have) that I think it’ll be easier to commit to than anything else.
Good luck! I enjoy an occasional jog here and there to release stress
Or you can walk it if you are not challenging yourself with a timed goal…
Either is fantastic!
And good for you.
Best of luck finding a fitness goal that you will enjoy pursuing! ?
I am in Frangipani by Lili Bermuda even though I still can’t smell. I am sure you are all sick of hearing about it. I am also tired of this cold and ready to be back to myself again.
Hope u feel better soon, it’s rubbish feeling ill in the springtime, especially when the sun is shining, u feel all out of sync!
I think we must have the same cold, and I haven’t been able to smell for over a week either.
I sympathise so much because I’m so tired myself of not feeling well at all. Still, it will go, at some point.
STILL? You poor thing. We will listen for as long as it takes. Is your energy back?
For the 2nd day of Easter I’m in Fugit Amor from Jul et Mad.
Tomorrow will be my packing day and on Wednesday I’ll be on my way to Milan for Esxence. Can’t wait to be there again
Have a safe trip and looking forward to your pictures and reports!
How exciting! Have a great time.
Enjoy your trip!
I’m wearing Vetiver insolent, first time from my new second hand bottle, this ones such a no brainier for spring, it’s gorgeous and really easy to wear. Ginger isn’t listed as one of the spices, but it’s the most prodominent note, after Vetiver to my nose.
You smell lovely- and fresh!
Thank you!
Happy Monday everyone, how in the world did Monday get here so quicky!
My SOTD is vintage Safari perfume by Ralph Lauren.
A blast from the past…
And it’s a blast for sure! I think I ‘slightly’ oversprayed. A bit..
I’m wearing Smell Bent Sunshine, to combat the grey skies and threatening little snowflakes falling down. Think we’re doing a pretty good job. The candied orange/creamsicle opening is almost too sweet for me, but it calms down enough.
Snowflakes, oh no!!
Earth Day!
Monday!
1) Took a much needed 4 day weekend for Easter this year! Lots of much needed rest and some really nice sunshine!
2) Am in Amelie Mae, from Lush. A fruity floral and just perfect for Easter AND Earth Day.
3) Garden update: I killed my seedlings (I did not vent my mini greenhouse, so they cooked! ) so I redid the herb starts, dug out a bed for bulb plants and have the garden boxes ready. The front hellstrip is for this week: I will be turning it into a English cottage garden, with plenty of old fashioned flowering plants and fragrant herbs.
#3 made me think of Bunny Mellon’s garden (your To Be garden, not the the one that needs to be remediated). Sounds like a fun project!
Oh, if only I had Bunny’s money and discerning taste! She’s a legend, and I have read some art books about her gardens. But I will do my best with my flower starts and Herb garden!
It’s a shame about your seedlings but nice to hear about your project. The insects will be pleased!
It was so stupid! The poor dears just ROASTED. But all will be well. But I have a fine selection of burgeoning starts with culinary and medical herbs (not marijuana, because it’s so damn cheap here that it is practically given away) and it’s going to be fun to place them in their beds two weeks from now.
And the insects will LOVE the pollen and the scents!
I’m not a fan of that painting. I’ll think about it, but I don’t expect to like any perfume that I match to it either. I kind of know what scent it makes me think of–a kind of plasticky, Play-Doh-y, sticky-salty scent. I can’t think of what perfume that would be, and doubt I’d have it even if I could come up with it.
Instead, I’m in Bal d’Afrique, which is just the warmest of vetivers. I’m dreadfully tired this morning for no discernible reason, but at least I smell good.
My hair is much happier today than it was on Saturday! I decided I’d had enough of dry, unhappy swimmer’s hair, and before my Saturday swim, I oiled up my hair with warm avocado oil before braiding it and stuffing it in my swim cap. Then after my swim, after shampooing, I gave my hair a good dousing of an apple cider vinegar clarifying rinse. Now, this was a terrible move as a scientist, because now I don’t understand the effect of each of those treatments, but the net effect of the two hair care changes together is that my hair feels more hydrated and springy and happy than it has in the past YEAR, probably even longer!!! (I started swimming regularly ~1.8 years ago.) So I think more oil and vinegar treatments are in the cards for my hair in the future. Any tips from you all on hair hydration would be most welcome!
On the painting – I mentioned to Regina above that I got a headache reading about it and did not absorb anything. Since I will not be reading it again, I will be interpreting it visually and how it relates to my experiences.
On hair, I have not tried it but maybe you can get L’occitane to let you try some — there’s a high-falutin’ vinegar rinse that has all sorts of other stuff that is good for your hair. Also haven’t tried but there are apparently hair masks! I’m sure Sephora has some and you know how generous they are with samples!
Sounds like my hair care is about to get a lot more expensive than my usual Costco shampoo and conditioner…. Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll have to hunt down some samples to try out
But did you read the story? Not liking the painting is kind of the point…. to summarize for the headache-prone:
Men painters: Georgia O’Keeffe paints silly women stuff! Look at those silly female color schemes.
G O’K: “I can paint one of those dismal‐colored paintings like the men. I think just for fun I will try—all low‐toned and dreary with the tree beside the door.”
Men: Hmm, yes, finally serious work, this O’Keeffe may have some talent after all, I approve, I approve.
So anyway you could do all kinds of things; I’m thinking of wearing something stereotypically masculine.
Regina, you make me SO HAPPY.
No, I didn’t read the story
I didn’t like the painting, so I decided I didn’t feel like clicking the links. When I read your emphatic suggestion that we read the story, I nearly clicked through, but you know, busy day, etc etc. Now I’m glad I didn’t, because however delicious the stories in the links might have been, none could possibly have been as well told as your summary.
So thank you very much for summarizing and for explaining the point of the painting
You are the best!
I enjoyed telling it but the juicy bit in the middle is a direct quote from the lady herself.
I loved reading the story and love your synopsis. .I also like the painting despite its genesis.
Your description below does help me appreciate it!
I like it too!
Ha! thank for the cliff notes
I really enjoyed reading the articles last night but not as much as I liked reading your summary!
Thanks for the synopsis! I hadn’t gone to the links yet. Reminds me of a home patient I took care of. Also, a woman (artist) among men. This photo hung in her apartment:
https://images.app.goo.gl/ayyJ2vgDUC82HRwp9
Wow!!
I know! I’d never heard of her, only her husband who was fairly famous.
Glad to hear that you have found something that makes your hair much more manageable after swimming! Not a minor thing at all.
Had a quiet Easter yesterday while wearing vintage Mitsouko edt yesterday. Today, I woke up in a haze of Les Annees 25 wished I had bought a full bottle when I had the chance. I have a dentist appointment today and not looking forward a tooth cleaning. My place of work tried to get me to come in but wasn’t willing to go to work and go to the dentist. I am trying to figure out what to wear while at the dentist. No 19 or LADDM are my choices for the day, if I can figure out which one to wear.
I always take the day off when I go to the dentist. I can’t do both either.
Les Annees 25 is so lovely! I am hoarding the little sample I got through Tauer’s MAG. I noticed he hasn’t been doing those magazines lately.
I’ve been wondering where those mags were too, yasmina! Maybe he’s waiting so he can include a sample of something new and wonderful.
He does have a new release coming up in the next month or so.
Mmm, I’ll be looking forward to that one.
Instead of getting ready for work, I’m doing a side by side of Gucci Rush and Clive Christian X. One spray each, Rush is definitely the louder of the two. The more they dry down, the less similar they are. I really don’t want to go in today, but ugh… I’m going. Have a good Monday everyone.
This made me LOL! You will have a great day because you smell fabulous!
Thanks! I really do smell good ?
Thanks for the comparison. I was curious.
Just to add, Rush seems to be staying more sparkly peachy, and X goes a little darker . Enjoying both!
You’d mentioned that you were planning on that side by side test of CCX and Rush. Yay you for doing it!
Next I have to test Coco and Fendi to see which is more animalic.
Wearing SJP Lovely, per usual. Will be my Friday scent, too, lol.
The painting looks so moody, but there’s a lightness in the background sky on the left.
Lovely works for anything
SOTD = Guerlain Gourmand Coquin
I smell like decadent chocolate! Somehow, I also kept smelling chestnut cream but chestnut is not listed as a note!
The CP will be challenging but I love me a good challenge so I am looking forward to it.
Chestnut cream + chocolate -> now I am hungry.
No wonder I was hungry all despite eating a full breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Sounds like you are giving the Easter treats a run for the money with your SOTD! ??
It sure sounds like an Easter holdover ?
We had a beautiful Sunday here, so that put me in a very “get ‘er done!” mood. I cleaned the entire van AND the fridge! So proud of myself. ?
Another gorgeous day, so I’m springing around in BF Au Dela Narcisse, smelling fab!
Forgot to mention: I love the sense of mystery the painting evokes. I love places like this in real life, that have a history and a memory one can only guess about. All the stories absorbed by the walls, teees and grasses must be fascinating to hear!
I agree, the painting has a Nordic Noir look to me, and doesn’t put me off at all. I’ll be interested to read more of the story. I’m very struck by the bright white window frame, which seems to invite one to approach and peek inside—perhaps only to find a dead body!
I love a just cleaned fridge!
Whoo hoo for “getting ‘er done!”
Being very lazy this morning. It’s raining so I slept in and am very thankful to have today off. I sprayed on some Guerlain Meteorites earlier and will enjoy this until my shower.
I seem to have jimmied my back somehow yesterday so I’m trying to do a bit of stretching without overdoing it.
Oh dear, so sorry about your back Gail!
Ouch! I hope that gentle stretching helps.
Seems like you just can’t win when you get a long weekend! Didn’t you come down with a bad cold last time?
I hope your back is better soon.
I needed a cheerful but low key perfume today since I’ve got a couple meetings and don’t want to draw attention to my scent. I went with Bergamote 22. It’s my first real wearing, and I love it. I always want to have a bergamot dominant perfume on hand. It’s such a joyful note.
I think the same about bergamot. Next time I go to Sephora I think I’ll grab a sample of Bergamote Soleil.
Bergamote Soleil is one of the few Ateliers that I’ve really liked (out of those I’ve tried anyway). It’s lovely. Also try Acqua di Parma’s Bergamotto di Calabria if you can.
You smell great! That’s my favorite bergamot, and my only fb Le Labo.
Thank you!
Boo for meetings on Monday!
Gack – just e-filed my taxes, 90 minutes of pure pain. I made plentiful notes last year in the hopes of smoother sailing for this year, but of course everything changed.
Wearing a spritz each of L’Attesa and Encens Mythique, two of my Rich Lady perfumes, to honour the fact that I am getting a refund.
Smelling great and congrats on the refund! Are you going to make a perfume purchase with it?
Well…I already have! Picking up bottles of Bas de Soie and 5 O’Clock au Gingembre today!
Yaaay, nice choices!
I love these painting projects and when I look at that painting I wish I was there. Youcan almost feel the weather changing, the warm high overcast breeze becoming cooler as the first big spots of rain start to drop. The smell of dry earth and grass, maybe hay in the barn, maybe anold tractor and the hint og engine oil and machinery. And wood for sure. I bet the building creaks nicely in the wind. There are probably abandoned birds nests up in the rafters, pigeons on the beams and age-old smears of white pigeon poo. I love that dark, inviting hill…so full of life. The dense forest, lots of ferns, fresh springs and silent animals: deer and owls. How wonderful to just sit outside and watch. So Olympic Or hids woodcut for me. Off to Christchurch today, a five hour autumn drive mostly through farm land and blue coasts. I am bringing my mother down for a holiday. Have a good week everyone.
Have a safe drive, I hope the weather is better than it is here, very dull and wet.
Sounds like a nice drive, have fun!
Safe travels for you & your mom!
Hello y’all…
I’m off work today, doing all kinds of errands, from mowing the yard, laundry and more laundry, getting oil changed and tires rotated, yada yada yada.
Smelling sweet and springy in Paris Hilton South Beach. At least I smell better than my chore list….
Nothing beats crossing errands of the to-do list!
Jada, I almost blind bought South Beach based on Beauty Meow. How does it compare to Miami Glow ?
I, too have a dental appointment today. Ugh. I have taken inspiration from SheriG and I’m wearing Jour d’Hermes Absolu. I smell like spring.
Yesterday I went hiking in the Columbia River Gorge, one of the parts that burned after the thoughtless teen tossed a firework into the forest. The blackened trees look so sad, and many had to be cut down for safety. On a brighter note, at milepost 32 the bald eagles have built another nest and were both there as I drove by. I was going too fast to see if there were eaglets.
You smell like spring and sunshine and beautiful things.
I’m jealous of your hike! I haven’t been there since I was a kid. It’s a marvelous place.
You smell gorgeous!
It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the Columbia River Gorge area. Some amazing scenery in that area.
My stomach was off this morning-ate too heavy, too late last night. So it’s Tums and some Shikai Yuzu lotion.
Ugh to the stomach being off. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you dear, lj! The morning was a drag, but I feel better now.
same here! I skipped breakfast, just an apple for lunch. I was up at 1:30 am eating granola, not the best decision I’ve ever made, lol.
Aww, sorry you had the same deal this morning, tiffanie. Granola sounds better than the meatballs with a killer red sauce I thought was a good idea at 10pm! It was tasty, though ?
I hope you feel better at this point in the day! I know I sound like a broken record, but the Shikai yuzu products are just so good.
Thank you, I do! I love the yuzu- I use the body wash in my hand soap dispenser. I wish the smell lasted longer…
Yuk on the touchy tummy! I hope that you are feeling better now.
I am, thank you Jalapeno! I have reflux so I know better than to eat late like that ?
I understand! I can get reflux if I eat late, too.
Glad you’re feeling better Elisa!
Thank you Petunia!
Begun the morning with some Avon Eve Elegance, which is a nice floral fruity scent. Topped if after some hours with 3 sprays of Jicky for good measure.
Today i finished my second Appleton dress, the first one was to wide in the hips and the fabric was not elastic enough to fit well.
The second one looks really good, if you are into camo prints….
if you want to have a look, my insta is my user name plus a z, written as one word….
Jicky! you smell wonderful. And Avon does some great scents, don’t they?
I’ve followed you over on insta, would love to see your dresses. My mum taught me to sew and I still enjoy it today.
I’m going through a weird period were I, a lover of ambers and spice and inedible vanilla, am suddenly craving big white florals. Today I’m in Elizabeth Taylor’s Gardenia, which is very nice for how cheap it is: a slightly green, dewy gardenia, newly bloomed rather than ripe and rich. Maybe a little synthetic but not much. And now I’m wishing I’d bought Annick Goutal’s Gardenia Passion back in the day when it was reasonably priced.
BWF ftw!
You smell wonderful.
I love Guerlain Jardins de Bagatelle when I have the BFW craving.
The Elizabeth Taylor florals are beautiful. I sometimes sit near someone at a choir practice who wears White Diamonds. It works perfectly on her, never smells too much or synthetic.
This time last year I was in hospital, having experienced a spontaneous coronary artery dissection. I’m thinking I should buy a perfume to mark the occasion
Meanwhile, today I’ll be wearing one of my few perfumes where the bottle influenced the purchase, Gold Heart by Map of the Heart.
Oops. My reply is below tiffianie–not sure how I managed that
that heart bottle is fantastic! you smell great.
congratulations on the anniversary you mark today.
I think you should absolutely buy a bottle of perfume to mark the day!
So happy you are still with us, worthy of celebration!
That’s a big deal anniversary! Definitely worthy of celebration.
Glad that you are still here! That’s worth recognizing and celebrating.
Sotd = No. 5 for Chanel Monday
Happy Earth Day! I’m a tree hugger at heart. This morning I watered my garden and pulled weeds. Later I’ll take a walk/hike through the nature preserve near my home.
The fresh air and sunshine will be a good antidote to watching that Avengers Infinity War movie last night. Sheesh, depressing stuff, but it’s all in good fun I guess. Lots of pretty faces and muscle-y biceps for sure.
Have a marvelous Monday, NSTers. You smell like a million bucks!
Infinity War was so upsetting. I watched it with my hubs and some friends and I was so depressed after…not my usual reaction to superhero movies lol.
Yay for Chanel Mondays.
A ” spontaneous coronary artery dissection” does not at all sound very nice. I am thinking that the only way to mark the anniversary of such a situation IS to buy a bottle of perfume. I mean, what else would make sense?
That’s the only thing that makes sense. Do it.
I’m HOME! About to nap with three or four kitties on the bed. It feels so nice!!!
When I got home, I was overwhelmed by thinking of all my perfume options. I chose to apply Tyrannosaurus Rex in lethal amounts because I want to be tough and strong!
Congratulations on getting home and spending quality kitty time! ?
Yay! Nice to have a warm kitty welcome. I hope you recover well!
Hurray for being home with the kitties! ?
So happy to hear you’re home with your fur babies. They must have been ecstatic when they saw you come through the door?
Welcome home! I could use a lazy cat or two, my hyper puppy doesn’t let me nap.
So glad you’re home where you can spray with abandon!
Yay for being home with kitties!
So glad you are HOME! Yay! I bet your kitties are very happy to see you too.
Enjoy your fragrances and being spoiled for choice!
Hello all, long time no post! Life has been a little crazy the last few weeks, but I will succeed in finding the balance again.
I’m in Rose 31 body lotion and edp, a perfect balance between rose and spice. ?
I was just thinking about you. Glad you’re ok!
Hello there! Good to hear from you! I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how things were going.
Hiiiii!!!!
Glad you found a balanced moment to pop in
Y’all are seriously the nicest bunch of people on the internet. ❤️?❤️?❤️
A low key Easter for me yesterday. Mr. Jalapeno and I had grilled steak and roasted Brussels sprouts for dinner. It was nice not rushing around trying to get a grand production on the table.
SOTD = vintage Diorissimo, from the sample stash. I wore this for Easter Sunday also.
Nice perfume choice for Easter! Quintessential spring. And dinner sounds good, too.
Thank you Elisa P! I started getting the urge for Diorissimo when I saw all the spring flowers in bloom. It is, as you said, quintessential spring. And dinner was quite tasty! Looking forward to more grilled steaks now that the weather has warmed up.
You day sounds wonderful!
It was very chilled out and relaxed. Even the cats were lazing about and taking it easy.
That is the perfect dinner!
I was happy that the weather cooperated with our plans for grilled steak. ?
Your holiday sounds relaxed and peaceful. You smell grest too.
Thanks Petunia!
I envy your brussel sprouts! Nobody eats them but me, so I rarely buy them. Glad you had a nice Easter ??
Mr. Jalapeno HATED Brussels sprouts when we were newlyweds. It was a hard sell, but I eventually convinced him that they were tasty little veggies when cooked right.
Same here! He’s actually made them without prompting, lol. But the little baby ones, chopped and crispy.
Another beautiful sunny day here, lots of long walks, chatting with friends and being with my DH and the dog. Relaxing with a cup of rooibos tea now. I wore Byredo Oliver Peoples. Switching to Vanille 44 for the evening.
Your day sounds lovely. Yay!
I have nothing to say about this day other than it is Monday. Ugh.
I’m in Parfum d’Empire Osmanthus Interdite. It’s very pretty to me. Doubtful I’ll ever need a bottle but I’ll enjoy the sample very much this spring.
At least it’s almost over. ?
I bet you smell great but I am partial to osmanthus. Not sure why I haven’t tried that PdE yet.
Osmanthus Interdite sounds like it’s perfect for spring. At least your Monday had that in its favor.
New to commenting! Visited often, really often, over the years and I am grateful for the community I have lurked behind. ?
My sotd is a mish-mash. Amazing Grace, layered with Heavenly. I threw in Unconditional Love, as well. It sounds odd, but each is light enough to make me not announce myself with fragrance. Which I typically do. Sorry!
That’s my first comment. Phew.
Annie, hi and welcome! Hope you will comment again — this one was possibly too late for anyone to see it and give you a warmer welcome
