Monday, Tax Day (if you're in the US), Anime Day, Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday and World Art Day. What’s your fragrance today?
I got my taxes done just in the nick of time. I'm in Vilhelm Parfumerie Purple Fig. (And I completely missed the news that Vilhelm Parfumerie was sold last year.)
Reminder: 4/19 will be Twice as Nice Friday...wear a fragrance that you've purchased more than once (a scent that you used up and bought again, or a scent for which you've already got a backup bottle). If you don't have such a fragrance, wear the scent you'd be most likely to rebuy. Suggested by thegoddessrena.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

SOTD is Hermes l’Ambre des Merveilles. If I hadn’t purchased the larger (and somewhat difficult to hold while spraying) bottle, I would definitely re-buy it. Delicious!
I will replace my 15 ml when it’s gone for sure 🙂
I rebuy more Hermes than anything else partially because it is so easy to find the 15 ml bottles.
I first bought the 100 mL of Eau des Merveilles and it was indeed too big for my hands. So I bought ti 50 mLs anyway. I either sold or gave away the 100 mLs (or maybe it is in storage).
Thanks for all your get well comments over the weekend.
I am still feeling like I got hit by a truck. I hope the kids go easy on me when I pick them up from school in an hour..
Commando today but lots of nice smelling tea…
I hope you feel better soon!
Poor you – sending continued healing wishes.
Boo on the lingering cold! Feel better.
I’m wearing Cartier Carat from a decant. I will not be re-buying this. Kind of meh. I wore I Am Trash from a decant yesterday and enjoyed it a great deal. That I would re-buy.
I think its good reviews came down to “Surprisingly good for a designer frag”. Just had a sample and…if I were stuck in a strange city with no perfume and there was a nearby tester I’d maybe do a spritz.
I’m wearing La traversée du Bosphore which I have a back up bottle of. I can’t remember why I bought it, I think I did because I thought it would be discontinued and it is a fragrance I love a lot.
I’ve come down with a cold as well. Fortunately, so far it hasn’t affected my sense of smell.
Traversing the Bosphorus is a magical experience that I got to experience during a trip to Turkey. It was a commuter ferry and I was envious that this is how some people get to go to work everyday – with the sea, the wind and the beautiful city-scape in the distance. I am not sure what the perfume smells like, but I like the image it evokes.
Yasmina, this is great to do.
I love doing in Hong Kong and across the Chao Phraya in Bangkok and in Stockholm.
Of course, I grew up taking the Staten Island ferry to and from Manhattan so that might have something to do with it.
SOTD – Field notes from Paris for my new job!
Watched Game of Thrones twice.
Hope your first day is fabulous!
You smell great for your first day, hope the job turns out great!
I love Sydney harbour for the same reason. The ride past the Opera House to Manly is one of my favourite trips
Sorry you are not feeling well, but you do smell yummy.
Feel better soon! I hate spring colds even more than winter colds!
I hope you feel better soon.
Hope that your cold leaves quickly!
I’m wearing Ferre, the 2005 version, a decant I got in a swap a few years ago — I’d love to buy more but it seems hard to find, sadly.
It looks like it’s not even at the discounters, alas. I was desperate enough to try a dirt-cheap flanker, something like Ferre Pink Princess. It was vile, and probably the bottle that cured me of blind buys.
A vendor I frequently work with is closed today for Patriot’s Day, so I guess that’s a thing.
Winter is back today, so I’m in a cozy combo of L’Occitane Amande oil + The Body Shop Shea EDT. I’m on my second bottle of Shea (my favorite cheap thrill), so it works for the CP too.
Yay for cheap thrills! The Body Shop White Musk was my signature scent way back when I did such things…
Wow, it is a thing, did not know!
My lilacs are in full bloom so to celebrate I’m wearing En Passant today.
oooh, that must be so nice! enjoy!
Lucky you! Daffodils and hyacinths are going strong here and the magnolias have gotten started, but I’m still waiting impatiently for the lilacs to bloom.
I wish my lilacs were blooming. I just have my daffodils blooming and a couple of my hyacinth and primroses.
Ohhh, pretty!
As an aside, have you read Lilac Girls?
I’m reading Lilac Girls right now! Lilac season is still a month away in Montreal, but I see the magnolia tree budding up.
Nice! That was one book I couldn’t put down. Really drew me in right away. I also enjoyed The Orphan’s Tale as well.
Perfect pairing! You smell great.
So envious of your lilacs! I wish there were more lilac trees near me, and that they were closer to the sidewalk so I could stick my face into the blossoms!
I’m wearing a sample of En Passant today, from my sampling day in London last week, it is truly beautiful, and the most realistic lilac I’ve smelt. However the real thing is unique, and so fleeting, enjoy them while they bloom!
My lilacs are blooming too. They’re so beautiful!
I haven’t seen any lilacs blooming, but I did see plenty of spring bulbs in flower over the weekend.
Hello, I’m testing DSH Le Jardin Vert, which is just what it says, a sort of Demeter-ish collection of dirt and green beans
love that description!
I am in Lubin Kismet, which I hosted a split for the last meet. I am happy with the quantity I have and wouldn’t rebuy, but I sprayed lavishly this morning and the slightly (very slightly, it is pretty cold here in the Midwest still) higher temperatures is really making this one pop. I can’t wait to wear it in much warmer weather.
Have a great Monday everyone!
You too Yasmina!
Its been a while. I had a very busy week.
SotD is Eau des merveilles
Last weekend my book club (6 women) celebrated our 10 year anniversary in a good restaurant/hotel.
We really had a blast!
Congratulations! That’s all kinds of awesome.
Yup it is! I only knew half of the members when we started out. But we really connected. Not only through books but we all turned out to be lovers of great food and wine. And we all love to travel.
We experienced and shared so much throughout the years (weddings, starting families, crazy mothers in law, good times, bad times….). So what started out as a reason to read more and talk about books turned out into a great friendship. ?
That’s so great!
That’s fantastic. And you smell fabulous.
That’s really lovely.
That’s really great to have that connection.
Hello all! A rather early start for me today, but smelling clean and fresh in Kenzo Air. I really like it but wish it had more oomph for the workday.
Aha, I should wear that this week! Kenzo Air Absolue, that’s what we need.
Oh, please do! I think they made an intense one but I’ve never seen it. The original feels like a sketch to come back to.
Once again i forgot and went to work commendo, so i am in one of my drawer travel sprays- Byredo Gypsy Water. It’s pleasant 🙂
Pleasant is the perfect way to describe it! I think you smell great.
Wearing vintage BaV this morning. I am about to get into the shower. Found my bottle of vintage Miss Dior in extrait form and a drop spilled onto my thumb. Vintage Miss Dior extrait is going to be my post shower perfume.
Classic day?
Nice! You smell gorgeous. 🙂
I bet Miss Dior in vintage extrait is out of this world! I have some vintage edt and that is pretty good.
Good morning Y’all….
Dragging a bit this morning! Hoping to wake up and be energetic by noon….. 🙂
Wearing Tous Happy Moments. Was hoping to pick up on the popcorn and white chocolate notes that are listed, but so far I’m mostly getting pineapple. It’s a fun springy type of scent for sure…recommended!
Pineapple, popcorn and white chocolate – sounds like something I need to get my mitts on!
I have to say….I’m really enjoying this one today! Still mostly pineapple, but it’s a true-to-life pineapple and not too loud. It’s an EdT so pretty soft, but 6 hours in I can still smell it and get wafts of it…
SotD = Chanel Beige
From an ancient and almost dried up sample vial, Beige still smells very pretty. Perfect antidote for a grey Monday morning. Reminds me of J&J baby shampoo, a mumsy feeling for me. I like it.
That photo up top today immediately made me think, “I want figs!” Love fresh figs and would LOVE to visit Solliès.
Currently my Scent Decision Automation Project (SDAP) looks like:
Monday = Chanel
Tuesday = Assam of India
Wednesday = Terracotta le Parfum
Thursday = Hiris
Friday = NST CP scent
Weekends = free choice 😀
Have a fantastic week, NSTers! You smell fabulous.
I love Beige, that’s one scent I never expected to enjoy but I do. Not FB worthy, but I’ll replace my decant. 🙂
I love Beige! I have a 75 ml bottle, almost full. I was in Saks yesterday and finally saw one of the 6.8 oz bottles in person – holy bananas, that’s a lot of perfume. I was trying to figure out if I could ever finish a bottle of anything that size, and the only thing I could think of was Hiris.
I’ve got the 6.8 oz size of Coromandel, I think that’s the only Chanel besides No. 19 or Cristalle that I could envision myself finishing. I think I’d break a toe if I dropped the bottle, it’s huge!
The fact that you just compared it to J&J baby shampoo actually makes me want to try it haha!
I love Beige. My decant is evaporating and I wish that I had bought a small bottle of the EDT when it was available. I tried the EDP but, for me, it lacked the sparkle of EDT. If wishes were fishes.
I love that saying, and so true. The EDT has such an sparkle, and really fun to wear.
The SDAP has filled out nicely!
Jasmin de Nuit, of course. I’m sure I’ll be wearing it all week.
I did use up a bottle back in the day when it first came out. So technically I’m on my second bottle, with a third waiting in the wings 🙂
Tax refund just got deposited, so I’m feeling flush this week!
Woo hoo! Nice going? Will you purchase anything smelly for yourself?
Oh, I’d love to find a bottle of something fabulous on ebay, but I’ll probably end up putting the money in my retirement account.
Ugh, I hate being boring!
Hey, I’d take stable over sexy any day!
Well, I’d make an exception for Joseph Manganiello. 😉
Oh how I wish I had learned stable over sexy much much earlier…
Good morning, everyone!
After a great weekend, I am very relieved that my taxes are sorted out for this year.
I love this community project–I think I can do one scent for each day this week. Today is Vanille 44. I used up a small decant of about 5mL (thanks, Hajusuuri) and then repurchased a much larger (20mL) decant. That 20mL is now dangerously close to the halfway gone mark. I can easily imagine finishing it in the next year or so.
It’s such a nice feeling to see the end of taxes for the year!
Expecting rain today, so Chergui.
I know everyone is probably buzzing about Game of Thrones, but is anyone here watching Barry? This season has been so good so far.
Me! Just started the new season yesterday. Bill Hader cracks me up and it’s been interesting to see how he handles a role that gets quite dark at times. Also enjoying all the Cleveland references.
He’s been shockingly good! A lot of wrestling with himself in these new episodes, so darkly funny and sad. I’m obsessed.
I have been telling my husband I want to start Barry. Good to hear positive things!
Half hour show too, so it’s easy to get going 😀
Sorry for my ignorance, but I don’t speak French. 🙁 Can anyone translate as to who bought Vilhelm Parfumerie? Purple fig and Mango Skin are on my want to sample list, but quite difficult to find.
The boringly named Creative Perfume Company SA. Jan Alhren stays on as creative director.
That is a truly terrible company name.
Creative Perfume Company. Here is a summary in English: https://beautymatter.com/2018/12/vilhelm-parfumerie-acquired-by-creative-perfume-company/
thank you! 🙂
Yesterday, I wore Wit, from my 2nd replacement decant, which I got just to reassure myself that I really wanted to have a big bottle of this. That is a great scent, and when this decant is gone, I will definitely get a FB of this.
Today, I am wearing Hanbury, from a decant which replaced a partial bottle I got in a swap. This is soooo pretty, and when this decant is gone, I will definitely get one of the smaller bottles of this.
Tomorrow will be La Liturgie des Heures, from my second replacement sample, and I will be acquiring a FB of this when this sample is gone.
Thursday will be Diorissimo, which I have been buying replacement bottles of for, ummm, decades. 🙂
Friday, TBD, several choices….
I need to get Wit AND Hanbury so I can replace them later! Do love both of them.
I’m currently scented with a sample of Kai Rose body lotion. The scent is lovely. I’m really glad I got a free sample, but I don’t think it will lead to a full sized purchase.
Leaving myself otherwise perfume free because I’m going to do some sniffing after lunch.
Have a wonderful fragrant Monday!
I love this one, you smell wonderful!
Happy Monday all! SOTD is Chanel’s Misia. I’m in the mood for violets. 🙂 Trying out a new lipstick, Experimental by Chanel, perfect poppy red for a Monday.
Misia is so nice for chilly spring weather!
It fits the bill perfectly today! It’s still going strong!
I am accidentally CP compliant in Knowing, which has been in my perfume collection off and on since I was in graduate school.
Knowing is sooooo good!
Tax Day!
1) Mine are only partially done because I realize that I needed some docs and had to wait until todayto get them.
2) Am in Dovana- cozy and warm feeling (it was 34F this early morning!)
3) Plant nurseries are very dangerous- for your wallet!
Hope those taxes are done now! And so true on #3.
Wearing Soivohle Rosa Sur Reuse which I have a 10ml bottle of, a backup 10ml and if she ever produces it again I’d buy at least a 100ml in a heartbeat
🙂
Aldi Pomegranate. I can neither confirm nor deny there may be more than one back up bottle in my household…
Which is a confirmation of sorts…
I can now confirm that I cannot deny it…
“The lady doth protest too much, methinks”!
Yup.
Yup she does!
?
SOTD = Le Labo Vanille 44
Perfect vanilla / incense for a rainy day.
I have back ups from a Basenotes splitter.
I can probably do this Friday’s CP everyday for the rest of the month!
Me too – I have two bins of backup bottles, plus umpteen duplicate bottles in Montreal and San Diego.
You can probably go a year!
I hope that the trains weren’t too messed up due to the weather.
Stressful times as a property transaction has been cancelled ( we would have been the buyers, but there are huge problems with the property that have since emerged and hadn’t been disclosed at the time of our offer to purchase). My appetite and nose are both out of wonk. But just today I heard of a former colleague who has terminal pancreatic cancer. Twenty years ago pancreas cancer was rare. These days it is ubiquitous. It feels as though there has been a seismic shift. Wish someone could come up with a link to the etiology. Sorry for the rambling thoughts…
So sorry to hear all this, Amyitis.
So sorry to hear about your colleague! Also hoping you find a better place soon. Thankfully, those “undisclosed” problems made themselves know before you were stuck having to deal with them…
It’s ok to ramble. I’m sorry about your colleague.
So sorry for the sressful situations, sending supportive vibes,
So sorry about your former colleague and the cancelled property transaction.
I bet you’ll find another property that you’ll like even more but I’m sure it is very upsetting.
So sorry for your former colleague.
I hooe tomorrow is a little brighter.
Hugs. That all sounds rather rough.
Marni is my SOTD. I enjoy wearing this scent, and would buy another bottle when I run out. But, I would have to find a store that carries it. I am not sure if it has been discontinued, but they no longer carry it at the local Saks.
I love Marni too, sadly I think it has been discontinued.
It does look that way.
Good morning, friends. It’s hardly still morning, but I’ve gotten very little done so far, so it still feels like morning to me 🙂
The only scent I ever got a BUB of is Mohur, whereupon I realized that I don’t need BUBs of anything ever because I use everything so slowly. I have backup decants of some things.
Anyway, I’m in Incensed by Smell Bent today. I think SB is just the cutest line, and I’m enjoying trying out the samples kind NSTers have sent me 🙂 Their oevre is so large and delightfully named that I’d have a hard time deciding which ones to try. Anyway, Incensed does smell very nice, but it’s much more a vanilla scent than an incense scent. I like it very much, and I like how it gets foodier and more thick-textured pudding-like with time, but I wish they hadn’t called it Incensed.
For those of you wondering, Mayhem the Cat is doing fine. He’s stable and has been pretty much the same over the past month or two. I know I had some freak-outs when he stopped responding to the cancer meds, but ever since we took him off his chemo, he’s stabilized at a very happy, active, snuggly stage. Even his weight is more or less stable for now.
As for my father, he’s halfway through his chemo and it looks like nearly all of the cancer is gone!!!! He still has a few more chemo treatments to from 97 % cancer gone to 100 %, but things are looking good.
So I know I made a lot of very sad posts a while back and you all supported me amazingly, but right now, things are looking pretty good 🙂 Thank you all so much for helping me through a really rough patch <3
Good news about your dad! I know this has been very scary for you, I think you have held up very well. Wishing him continued health and recovery.
So happy to hear update on you’re Dads treatment, what good news!!
Great news!! Good for your dad 🙂
I am also very charmed by Smell Bent, I have a lot of untested samples from them still. I just keep going back to Prairie Nymph.
I am still crushed that Tipsy Social Blah Blah did not work for me, as it’s possibly my favourite perfume name of all time.
I love the Smell Bent line, but Prairie Nymph made me smell like I’d been sleeping in the litter box…….it was CRAZY BAD on my skin.
On you, no doubt, it smells of honey and clementine!
Prairie Nymph smelled awful to me too, like unwashed “down there”
So happy to hear happy updates on Mayhem and your dad!!
Great, great news!
That’s great to hear! Plus Incensed sounds nice.
Glad your dad is doing much better. And how wonderful about Mayhem!
Scent-wise, we’re perfume kissing cousins! Le Labo Vanille 44 smells like vanilla and incense to me!
This is all great news Koyel!
Fantastic news about Mayhem the cat and your dad! ?
That is such good news about your Dad and Mayhem kitty-cat!
Stunner of a morning here! Woke up at the beach to blinding sunlight, cool breezes, and some cotton ball clouds.
I’m in SSS Equestrian, a beautiful scent for any time of year, but I especially love it in spring.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday! ✌?
You picked a good spot and I agree with everything you said about Equestrian!
That sounds like a wonderful way to greet the day.
It’s a picturesque winter’s day here. We had about 4 inches of snow. Sotd is 31 Rue Cambon. I have about one more wearing before my decant is gone. I don’t plan on replacing it. I tried, but never warmed up to it.
Oh goodness. I’m sorry about your snow. Stay warm. I think you smell great.
Thanks! Made it up to 47 today, so the snow is mostly melted now.
Whoa! Stay warm and dry!
It’s warming up, but the rain she is a coming!
If your seasons don’t change soon we’ll catch up and then we can do winter scents together.
That would be ok. You help me look at winter slightly better.?
Ouch on the snow: hopefully you won’t get any on Easter Sunday!
That’s too bad about 31RC!
I think out of all the exclucifs I’ve been fortunate enough to try, this one has been the most challenging to wear. I’m not even sure why.
It’s not my favorite exclusive either and I don’t know why? I should love it but I don’t. Chypres are usually my thing.
That was exactly my thinking, that I should love it.
Old Man Winter just doesn’t want to leave you alone, does he?
I’m thinking about filing an official complaint?
SotD is Hermes Agar Ebene. I can’t believe it I bought it a year ago (a 15 ml spray) and I still have around 60% left those 365 days later.
Right after Easter I will be going to Milan for Esxence again and I wonder if I will treat myself to a new perfume from Italy this year too.
Ooh, looking forward to hearing which perfume u pick, what are your favourite Italian brands?
I really like Masque and am very curious for discovering their 2 new scents.
And Prada but this one you technically can and can not count as Italian when it comes to perfume.
You should! Did you get a birthday present for yourself yet?
Almost 2 months later and still no, haha. Naughty me.
Such a Monday. I reached for my No. 22 sample that I treasure and hoard because I love it and it’s all I have and managed to drop it on my tile floor and it shattered. 😥 At least my closet smells amazing, but I was super bummed. So instead I’m in Cuir de Russie, which I also love. Ugh.
Oh noooo 🙁 I’m sorry. I hope you can find another sample to replace it.
I’m sure I can find another somewhere. I just was hoarding it because I knew it would be a while before I got a FB and loved it so much. Dang it!!
Nooooooooo! I’ll remember this next time I complain about carpet – at least nothing I drop gets shattered!
I was shocked! I’d dropped some little samples a time or two in the past and they were find but this one must have hit hard because it shattered immediately!
Bummer. I wish I had a FB. I’d send you some if I could.
Your Monday went all out for obnoxious! Sorry about your sample.
My turn to try the Olfactive Studio sample set. Pleasant so far, but my, the copy seems even more feverish than usual.
Lakeland Flora, a beautiful natural mimosa / manuak / kowhai centred perfume . I have almost finished my bottle and will buy a back up as this is my favourite natural mimosa by far.
Pretty incredible photos of Notre Dame , terrible.
Kanuka, I just now saw it and wondered why nobody had mentioned it here. Heartbreaking.
From the Guardian —
Notre Dame spokesman Andre Finot told French media: “Everything is burning, nothing will remain from the frame.”
Oh my god, that’s so so so sad. I’ve been looking at all the photos with horror but that’s even worse than I had thought.
850 years.
Apparently it’s all quite chaotic in the area as there are still people wanting to take pictures. The police have their hands full. Le Monde has just mentioned the collaps of the flèche (don’t know the term in English). But I’m guessing most of the woodwork will be destroyed. It’s really awful, Paris has been through enough as it is.
The flèche — collapse of the spire.
Thanks for that explanation Robin! I didn’t have time to look it up.
Oh no, what a loss. I find I’ve actually got tears in my eyes.
Same here.
It’s gut-wrenching. Such a loss.
I felt sick to my stomach seeing it. It’s a world treasure.
Good day all. Wearing Aloha Tiaré today. Wishing I were in a location where the scent was all around me….but, alas…
Just got back from mailing my tax filing extension requests. One wonders why I waited till the last minute….no motivation.
Starting to dread the warmer weather. Yesterday and today the dampness in the air made me schvitz. It’s not even that warm yet! I’m already yanking my hair up and blotting my forehead. Sigh…
So, so unbelievably happy my husband was feeling crummy on Saturday so we didn’t go to the Cherry Blossom Festival on Roosevelt Island here. I considered going alone, but decided against it. Figured it would be crowded, and it’s so easy for me to go another time. I Only wanted to see taiko drumming. Reading the news reports and FB complaints and yikes! What a nightmare of crowds trapped on an island with only two transit options.
I seriously considered filing for an extension…
I pretty much do it every year, because for some reason I get a mental block on taxes. This year I also have to do final on my late father and his Trust. Since none of us owe, I continued the procrastination.
Sampling today – school is out until next Tuesday. Wearing Chris Rusak QUA; will replace with his Io (evergreens and incense) later because it was snowing this morning?. QUA has a L’Heure Bleue kind of vibe, but required more sprays than I gave it this morning. I think he uses a lot of naturals so not surprised.
Yay for the week off!
Wearing Tihota and Dulcis in Fundo today which is a replay of new decants I wore on Saturday too. I am wafting a great trail of vanilla for others to enjoy. ??
Big thanks for the sweet comments about dealing with loss during holidays in the weekend poll. My parents and grandparents were in my dreams last night. ?
Aww, it’s so nice when our loved ones visit us in our dreams. You smell yummy.
She-ra, I hope you found some comfort in those dreams. And you smell OUTSTANDING! ??
Those dreams are very comforting. It’s as if they know you need to connect.
I hope that your dreams were comforting. I don’t really have any words of wisdom about dealing with holidays after a parent’s death, despite having been through it. Do remember to be kind to yourself.
It’s a gloomy, cold, rainy Monday here, I needed to continue shopping for a new couch but was feeling very unenthused. Very glad I dragged myself out though, as I found just what I wanted, on the last day of a very good sale. Yay! Of course it is a custom order and won’t be here for four months, but at least I found what I wanted. I hate furniture shopping. I’m not done yet, still need an armchair and end table, but those can wait. The couch situation was urgent. I’m wearing Dior Fève Délicieuse.
Hurray for finding a couch! That was the most difficult piece of furniture for me to find.
Finding a new couch is the worst. Everytime I find one I like online I go sit on it and find I don’t like it. Our last one has held up beautifully (best one I ever bought) but it is time for a replacement.
Violettes du Czar from a sample i won from APJ. This reminded me, that i have problems with violet…. Dont like it much…. Started intermittent fasting yesterday, to drop the pounds i gained from delicious food in Japan and London. Feeling a little chilly today, just be the fasting.
Good luck on the fasting Tannina!
OMIGOSH! GUYS, DID YOU SEE?
Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is on fire!
That’s so sad and heartbreaking.
So horrible. My heart breaks, especially for those of you in France.
So awful. It’s heartbreaking.
I cried a little when I saw the news footage.
I did too, but it has turned out better than I thought it would…it’s a disaster but the towers are still standing. I was afraid the whole thing was going to come down.
Needed a burst of citrus to pick me up this morning so am wearing Heeley Note de Yuzu which is bright but mellow.
We had a busy weekend; my hubs uncle on his mom’s side died early last week down in FL so yesterday was the wake here on Long Island and the funeral was early this morning. I didn’t know him well, but all of the stories shared and photos brought him to life and it was all very moving. Was worried about my MIL mostly since she’s had some severe bouts of depression in the last few years and both of her brothers died within 2 years of each other. Her father died when she was born, literally, so her brothers were her fathers, really. She seems ok right now, thankfully. I am pooped, though, and looking forward to my bed later on!
Hugs to your MIL. I hope that she is okay.
Hugs to you and your MIL.
So very sorry ElisaP! Hope you will get that good night’s sleep.
I woke up to hear that Notre Dame de Paris is burning, that’s devastating. You don’t have to be the least religious to feel a huge loss looking at the news. I am going to wear in Neroli Outrenoir, which I bought in Paris only a few weeks ago.
Omg, just saw that on the news! What a tragedy! I was there back in the 90’s and was struck dumb by its intricate beauty. ?
Wild weather here today! I was awakened at 3:47 this morning by a sudden gust of rain hammering at the windows. Almost immediately after that came plenty of lightning and thunder in addition to the rain. This went on for almost 2 hours. The rain is long gone now, but the wind has been getting stronger throughout the afternoon. ☔?
Some good news about Spooky kitty. I did ask the vet for another antibiotic last week. She has had 4 doses of the new medicine, and really enjoys her new prescription cat food. Things are looking up. Right now, I am cautiously optimistic about how things have been going. ??
Not good news from Paris, France. I saw the footage of Notre Dame cathedral burning this afternoon. Horrifying.
SOTD = Gallivant London EdP, from the sample stash. Depending on one’s nose, this can read as either a green floral or an aquatic floral. I got both… it started off green and morphed into aquatic. Well done, but not my thing.
Hooray for Spooky kitty! I will also be cautiously optimistic for her <3
?
Thanks Koyel!
Yay for Spooky kitty!
??
Thank you Petunia!
Go Spooky!
??
Thanks lillyjo!
Glad that your kitty cat is doing better and that she is enjoying her food.
I also wanted to add that I love the names you come up for your fur-babies! ?
Thanks Gail! Although, I think that Spooky named herself. When we got her, she was only 2 pounds, give or take, a little black kitten who was afraid of everything. I did not see her for the first 3 or 4 days after we brought her home.
I missed the Spooky story, but I’m glad things seem better.
Chanel Leau.
I can’t wait till real spring so I can wear L’eau?
Not that I will ever try it, but I bet the shower gel is amazing.
Why wouldn’t you ever try it? It must be in department stores?
The shower gel must be wonderful!
It’s been humid here for the past few days… so L’eau….
I was typing while using my Bowflex earlier so didn’t bother with punctuation. ?
If I was using a Bowflex, I doubt I could even bother with breathing!
The only department store here that carries Chanel is Macy’s. It’s a small selection. I should check though, you never know!
Busy Monday at work but smelling wonderful in Safran Troublant. I used up a partial bottle and then bought or swapped for a decant. Planning to buy a bottle too. I don’t ever want to be without it. Longevity is sometimes an issue but today it’s long lasting.
You smell wonderful!
Safran Troublant gets a lot of love here.
I put on a couple drops of Miss Dior from a vintage bottle. Mine is a splash bottle, so I should decant some into an atomizer to see if there’s any difference.
Happy Monday everyone. At least it’s over, so only 3 days work left this week plus it’s a short week for me next week as well!
Is it a short week because of Good Friday?
I always seem to notice a difference between splash and sprayed, but I can’t be sure if it’s just in my head/nose. Report your findings if you do.
Partly.. Yes, Good Friday is this week. I work 9 hour days so nornally get every 2nd Friday off as a flex day. My day off this week happens to also fall on Good Friday so I will get the Monday off as my “flex” day.
Ooph, that schedule. I used to work similar hours in a previous job but I was constantly sick. I don’t know how you do it? ?
It’s totally my choice to work the longer days and get the Friday off. But it is exhausting! On the flip-side, its nice to get a long weekend every other weekend, plus it makes it easy to get away for a quick trip somewhere once in a while.
I’ve been doing these hours for over 15 years. I’d probably be lost if I stopped.
