Another red bottle for Chinese New Year: CK One. "Unapologetically bold, iconic CK ONE reimagines its classic bottle to celebrate Chinese New Year. Adorned with a playful rat, the collector’s edition red and gold bottle commemorates the Year of the Rat while housing our signature fresh and youthful fragrance." £27 for 100 ml at World Duty Free.
Tuesday scent of the day 12/31
It’s Tuesday and New Year’s Eve, plus the 7th day of Christmas (swans a swimming) and the 6th day of Kwanzaa. (Plus, quick PSA: the damage poll is coming up on Friday.) What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m wearing Diptyque Tam Dao layered with Diptyque Philosykos.
Reminder: on 1/3, wear a fragrance to match Classic Blue, Pantone’s color of the year for 2020…

Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse ~ fragrance review
Imagine a spotlight trained on a woman at the center of a dark stage. Music starts — something melodic and gentle — and the performer sways in her diaphanous gown. After this dreamy introduction, burlesque horns kick in, and, in a move you’ve seen a hundred times, the woman rips away her evening dress to reveal a strapless sequinned get-up. That’s Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse in a nutshell.
Maybe comparing the fragrance to a Broadway number is going too far, since it’s more sun-kissed peasant1 than Liza Minelli, but you get the idea…
Monday scent of the day 12/30
Happy last Monday of 2019! It’s also Bacon Day, the sixth day of Christmas (geese a-laying) and the fifth day of Kwanzaa. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m trying to wake up in Donna Karan Black Cashmere.
Reminder: on 1/3, wear a fragrance to match Classic Blue, Pantone’s color of the year for 2020…
