Hump Day and World Diabetes Day, and Claude Monet's birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm accruing community project points in Comptoir Sud Pacifique L'Eau du Gouverneur.
Reminder: on 11/16, wear a savory perfume (something spicy, herbal, salty, or otherwise foody but not sweet). Suggested by Jalapeno.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2018, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I love that image. I visited Giverny a few years ago, it’s a gorgeous place but incredibly crowded. I didn’t even visit Monet’s house.
Not gaining any points in Noir Epices.
Glad you have a good perfume today! I always get stuck with perfumes I don’t like after testing them, it’s a surprisingly uncomfortable experience. I like the oicture too. I have two irises in flower in my garden at the moment , they have somehow managed to survive through a tangle of weeds and struggled up…so now I think I will refer to them as my Giverny garden. I was lucky to go there when there were no crowds and could take my time as I had rooms to myself. I have missed major museums though due to my impatience with queues.
I´m not great at queues myself but if I feel that something might be worth it I can manage to wait. I just wish that Giverny had been a trifle quieter. It was in June when most gardens are at their best.
There is another really wonderful garden in Normandy called Le Jardin plume. Stunning and not so full of tourists taking selfies.
I went to Monet’s gardens at Giverny too, got lucky and there were no crowds. I have a photo of myself standing alone on the arched bridge. It was gorgeous.
That bridge is pretty. I could barely see the flowers for all the crowd.
The one time I made a visit, I was not aware that it was a French national holiday. Talk about crowds! ???? It was lovely, though, and I’m glad I went. I especially loved the house’s blue kitchen. That’s a color I’ve never used for a kitchen, but there, it was charming.
Hey austenfan, why do you not give yourself points for Noir d’Epices? On me, it’s spice’o’rama!
Clever you, but it is a spice fest but it reads more as mulled wine to me.
Ah, interesting. The black pepper totally dominated on me.
I’m also a big fan of that painting. Glad to hear so many NSTers have had good experiences at Giverny. It’s on my list of wishes.
Giverny is well worth a visit and it´s not the only place in Normandy that is.
Wearing Reglisse Noire by 1000 Flowers.
Today, it is wearing a bit sweet on me, but that licorice note is lovely.
I love that one! You smell lovely. Isn’t it quite the shape shifter? That’s one thing I adore about Reglisse Noire. 🙂
I just found my sample today and plan to test it later tonight.
I’m wearing Dame Dark Horse. One of my desert island scents.
Nice! I fininshed my DH oil and miss it.
That’s one of my favorites too. You smell great.
SsotD = Eau des Merveilles + Jour d’Hermes = nice!
Love that Monet! Don’t remember seeing it before. 😀
Off to sing with Kindergarteners, must dash. Enjoy your day, fragrant friends.
You might just not recognize it because I went ahead and chopped off the whole bottom, which is admittedly atrocious behavior.
I am wearing the hopelessly beautiful Une Rose for its savory truffle note, which gives it a kind of elegant armpittiness that I wish more fragrances would lean into.
That is one gorgeous rose. You smell beautiful!
I think that is my favorite rose–must wear it more often. You smell Maaaaaaahvaloooos!!
Truffle notes! And rose! Wow, I’ve got to get my hands on a sample of that!
I love Une Rose. If I lived in a cool climate, I’d wear it at least once a week.
I’m in Rose Flash, my HG rose. I wonder what would happen if I layered this with Mohur which is all too light and fleeting on me. Would it overpower it? Or would they together create something new?
Have you tried Andy’s Rose Delight body oil? That’s what I layer Mohur with.
That sounds like an excellent combo
I’m bad at abbreviations–what’s HG?
It’s interesting that Mohur is light and fleeting on you! It’s quite prominent on me. But I think Rose Flash would obliterate it and also clash with it, at least on my skin.
Holy Grail 🙂
Of course! Thanks.
Yes I think you are right – Rose Flash is so strong
Sampling Love Tuberose from Amouage which is definitely way too sweet for my tastes
Good morning Y’all…..
I THINK I’m wearing Oscar de la Renta Esprit d’Oscar (I have an Oscar mini that looks like that full size bottle, but no description???). Whatever it is, I really like it! 🙂
Day 4 of continuous rain rain rain rain! Come on back sun….
We had snow and -20 C last night. Tradesies???
Had to convert…. -4 degrees F?? Thank you, but NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! LOL I don’t have clothes that would even touch that amount of frigid cold!!!!! Guess I’ll be happy with rain! 🙂
Jada, is it the mini with the frosty , flower looking plastic cap? That might be original Oscar.
YES!! Thank you so much!! That is definitely it, and the notes match up too…..That has bugged me for a year since I got it from Sephora! LOL! I kept thinking Esprit d’Oscar because of the flower cap, but the notes didn’t jive….
Totally FB worthy at some point! 🙂
It really is lovely.
In Rania J Ambre Loup thanks to a generous NSTer this morning. Puppygirl is in my lap getting scritches, so now she smells good, too. ????
Aww, sweet puppygirl! Mine had a tough morning, had to go get a shot and she gets so nervous in the car she vomited and pooped. 🙁 We are home resting now.
Poor little Monkey. Hope she feels better soon
Oh, no! I’m sorry for both of you. Did you find out anything about her eating issue?
She’s just being picky. Vet suggested putting the food down for 20 minutes, if she doesn’t eat, put it away until next regular meal time. Eventually she will eat. 🙂
Woo hoo! That’s great news. She sounds like quite a character. ????
Finished a travel spray of Hermes L’Ambre des Merveilles yesterday!!! THUNK!!!!
Commando for now, but later on I am planning on couple spritzes of Miller Harris Tea Tonique- wonderful stuff!

Enabler pin for you! I’m interested and see that my local store has “limited stock” – perhaps a Target run is in order!
Yey for my first enabler pin! Odonata, I recommend calling to your local store, because Target’s inventory is not always accurate and ask SA to put a set aside for you. Fingers crossed, you will be able to get it!
Lovely image today.
I’m in Agua de Colonia Concentrada for its herbal notes. If you ignore the lemon candy top note, it totally counts as savory 😉
Ha, I have so many of those “if you ignore X part” savory fragrances!
I’m wearing ElizabethW Té, because lemon, which I’m craving lately. If anyone knows of a good lemon for layering (not very sweet), I would love to hear about it!
I like Penhaligon’s Malabah. Not very strong, but it smells like straight-up lemon tea. No sweetness. It’s really nice!
Berdoues Assam of India and Thymes Tupelo Lemongrass also have a lemon tea vibe.
I’ll second Malabah. It’s very good and I don’t love all tea scents. This one does it for me though.
Day off today for a day-long visit to Philly. I missed my ride there and decided to go there via Amtrak. I eon’t bore you with the commuting woes…all I’ll say is that I am surprised there isn’t more rail rage. I just went with the flow.
SOTD = Guerlain Cuir Beluga
Right now, I’m in the middle of a guided tour of the Fabulous Fashion exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In my entire life, I have never considered myself a Fashion aficionado. As beautiful as they are, I am always about function over form. Instead of ooh ash, I wondered how the wearer could walk or go to the bathroom or scratch an itch. Nevertheless, I applaud the genius of the designers, their use of materials and their eye for colors!
https://www.philamuseum.org/exhibitions/873.html
Just spotted: Polka dot shoes by Comme de Garcon, eh, no pun intended!
Sounds like a fun day off! Hope the ride home is more serene.
You smell wonderfully serene. Hope the ride home is better.
I feel the same way about fashion. I admire it when it’s done well, but realize it’s for “other people.” Hope you ride home is smooth sailing!
No fragrance today, but can report back on a couple of By Killians sampled over the past few days. Woman in Gold: LOTS of vanilla – of the cupcake frosting variety. Gold Knight: unisex to my nose and I could smell the star anise. This could be a contender for Friday’s CP. Black Phantom: for me the nicest of the bunch. And surprise: despite the listed notes of rum, coffee and caramel, this smells like a vanilla bean to me. And my eldest son immediately said: Something smells like vanilla. Have a good day!
I love Black Phantom too, it’s delish.
Thank you! Somehow it feels as though my “nose” just received a gold star of approval. 🙂
It has been a difficult couple weeks. My dad passed away late last night at 82 from congestive heart failure. He had a heart attack/triple bypass surgery when he was 54 and lived 28 years which is pretty incredible…he outlived at least one of his cardiologists and his current one liked to jokingly tell him…”you really shouldn’t be alive…” 😉 I am grateful he had no pain.
Life is so short and precious. My heart goes out to all those affected by the CA fires who are missing their family and friends too. Please hug those around you and tell them they are loved.
I’m sorry to hear about your dad.
I am so sorry for your loss and grateful with you that he passed without pain. That’s the best that any of us can ask for at the end. Please take care of yourself in the coming days – I remember how stunned I was when my own father died, even though he had lived with a terminal illness for years, and I thought I was prepared.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Hugs and peace to you and your family.
So sorry She-ra. Wishing you and your family much comfort. Hugs to you.
So very sorry to hear this news, She-ra; sending oceans of sympathy to you and your family.
So sorry for your loss! Sending love.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Hugs.
So very sorry for your loss. I wish you resilience.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss She-ra. Hugs to you and your family.
She-ra, I am so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. You and your familiy are in my prayers. Sending hugs.
I am so sorry . Sending you love.
I’m sorry to hear about your father, I’ll be thinking of you.
So sorry for your deep loss. My mom had congestive heart failure as well, but glad that she was relatively healthy till the end. Sending loving thoughts to you and your family.
Oh She-ra, I am so sorry for your loss. Glad you had those “extra” years with him.
I am so sorry about the loss of your beloved father. How wonderful that you had all those extra years with him. I’m glad he went peacefully. Big hugs to you and may his memory be a blessing.
I’m so sorry for your loss She-ra! Hugs and prayers up for you and your family…..
She-ra, so sorry!! We’re sending you lots of love! ????
Hugs to you, She-ra. Your dad’s story gives me hope though – my grandfather had major bypass surgery several years ago and is still kicking.
I am so sorry for your loss, She-Ra. Please accept my condolences for you and your family. Losing a parent is so very sad.
I’m sorry for your loss – my mother also passed away a few years ago from complications related to heart failure brought forth by chemo. I’m glad your dad lived for as long as he did, and I hope he had mostly good days until the end.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad, She-ra. Sending you heartfelt hugs and deep condolences. Please take care of yourself as best you can.
I’m so very sorry She-ra. I hope you gain comfort from the many memories. Sending you hugs.
My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I´m sorry you lost your dad, I hope you will find some comfort in the fact that he didn´t suffer any pain.
I’m so sorry for you loss She-ra
Oh no, that’s so sad and I’m truly sorry. Losing a parent is a major and difficult thing, and I send love to you and your family.
My deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your dad. Hugs.
So sorry about your dad, She-ra.
I’m so very sorry about your Dad. Wishing you peace and comfort.
Oh She-ra…82 is a good age for anybody, more so after his history of heart trouble, but it must be so hard anyway. I am adding my sympathies.
So sorry for your loss, it’s so hard when we lose a parent.
I’m so sorry for your loss, She-ra. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Hi Robin (and anyone else interested)!
I went to my Yves Rocher today to smell these 2 limited edition shower gels. Red Apple smells like a sweet, more juicy apple with hints of maple syrup. They didn’t have Golden Tea on display but I asked about it and they’ll start to sell that one tomorrow. SA let me smell it and I liked it much more! It was a nice tangy tea scent.
SotD is Atelier Cologne Emeraude Agar.
Thanks for the scouting report–I like many of the Yves Rocher products and like to shop for the holidays. My credit card may not thank you, but I do!!
Thanks for the mini-reviews! I’ve been very curious about Golden Tea, but there are no Yves Rocher stores for sampling on this side of the pond.
Thank you so much Lucasai! The tea sounds much more interesting than the apple, isn’t it funny it’s the one they didn’t have?
I’ve been told that they wanted to ‘dose the pleasures’ so first they put up Red Apple on the shelves and now Golden Tea will join. I’m going to buy that one today.
The Golden Tea sounds really appealing!
EXTRA NOTE: there are also candles in both fragrances!
Yes, and they’re cute too!
I’m wearing No.5 and Eau Premiere today, courtesy of Macy’s testers. Ok, I’m also wearing Alien Flora Futura and Tiffany Intense LOL! Stopped by there after getting my son a video game for Christmas. They had quite a few Red Chanels. The SA said that people are still picking the regular bottles, because of the price difference. I asked her what she sells most, and was told Daisy, Light Blue, Jimmy Choo, and Flowerbomb. So, I bought the Red edp, but, I’m not opening it yet, in case the guilt becomes to much, and I want to return it. So no confession yet Donnetella! Oh, also, my BBW didn’t have Kalidiscope. They didn’t even know what I was talking about.
I do not know how you will resist the temptation of not opening that super gorgeous red bottle. I hope you survive! 😀
I had the same experience with Kaleidoscope yesterday and today. They had no idea about it. As they said it might be an online exclusive or it will probably show up for the holidays, but they were not so positive about it. Anyway, my wallet appreciate it!
I convinced myself that in 2 years, I will look back and wished I had bought it. Idk though, It’s literally the most expensive perfume I’ve ever bought, and my guilt is pretty crushing. So, for now, it stays unopened.
I bet the bottle is lovely. If you do decide to keep it, enjoy!
You remember the Alien limited edition bottles I ‘had’ to have? Well I ended up returning them after I couldn’t make up my mind about which one to keep. The colors were much darker on one bottle than the other; I pondered for a couple days, looked at them in different light and still couldn’t decide; it ended up causing me stress! Luckily I hadn’t opened them either.
And I remembered someone here said perfume was to enjoy, not hoard. I already have a bottle of Alien in my stash.
Oh gosh, that’s awful the bottles caused that much stress, but I totally get it! Funny, Mugler USA, finally has those Alien bottles, and I keep thinking I want that one more. I currently don’t have an original Alien in my collection.
That is interesting. Wondering if the red will sell more later as holiday gifts?
I’m not sure. It is a big price jump. Also the regular bottle will get included in the beauty sale, where the red one won’t. Of course on Christmas eve, people pretty much, just start grabbing what they can.
It is a big price jump. I thought it most likely to sway people who just wanted a “big” gift and weren’t necessarily planning on No. 5 to begin with.
SOTD is Fleurs de Sel – salty, herbal goodness. So I am participating. But I wish I was wearing my new bottle of Unsettled. Unfortunately, the bottle I was sent has a broken spray mechanism and I can’t get anything out. Lucky scent will be sending me another bottle (after checking its spray), so I will just have to be patient. I really wanted to see what it was like sprayed liberally on, as I had previously only tested it from a daub sample tube.
Oh no! I hope the new bottle arrives soon.
I admire Unsettled – it didn’t quite work on my skin, but it was so close to amazing. I bet it smells incredible on someone else.
My bottle of vanilla flash that I bought directly from Andy also has a defective spray – I never thought to do anything about it but maybe lnkw I will
My Sephora package arrived today. I had ordered a Too Faced eyeshadow mini set. I had gotten an email from Sephora about a 15% off coupon that’s good from the 16th to the 19th. Now I am waiting on my dogs’ Bark Box that will arrive today. I am spending the day in Noontide Petals after I take a shower.
You smell wonderful!
My precious Lucy is gone and I am devastated. Despite the medicine she’s been on her respiratory infection has been getting worse. I checked on her last night (have been keeping her covered, warm, still etc) but she was gone. I am sick and devastated and can’t stop crying. Cried all night. I have never loved an animal so much and I feel like I failed her somehow. I’m just sick to my stomach.
Oooh! So sorry to hear this sad news! Words can’t help, but I’d wrap you up in a hug if I were near.
Oh, KellyC, I’m so sorry. You gave Lucy a beautiful life filled with love. You did not fail. Hugs to you.
I am so sorry for the loss of your puppy/kitty. It never gets any easier when you lose a pet. Lost one of my dogs earlier this year and miss her terribly.
That is so sad. I’m sure you have many great memories and hope you can take some solace in them even though it will be hard.
Birds are fragile. I’m sure you took excellent care of her.
I tried. I did everything the vet said to do. They said maybe her immune system was weak after her leg surgery last year. And I know their respiratory systems are terribly sensitive. Still….I don’t know. I should take solace in knowing I tried, but I am so heartbroken.
So sorry for the loss of your beloved Lucy. I hope the memories and the bond you shared bring you peace. Hugs to you.
Oh, dear KellyC! I am so sorry, but know you didn’t fail her. You cared for her the very best you could. Ultimately we all succumb to something in the end. Big hugs to you- I know how much you cared for and loved her.
That is very sad news. You took great care of her.
Oh no KellyC! I am so, so sad to hear that your baby Lucy is gone. I know how much you loved her! You were a real mom for her and you did your best until the end. Sending big hugs.
I’m sorry to hear about Lucy, you absolutely did not fail her.
So sorry for your sad news–you did not fail her, we like to think we can control our universe, but it turns as it will without our input. I am sure that she felt your love and concern, we all send love to you.
KellyC, I’m so very sorry for your loss. It might take a while for you to think about this, but at least you got some time to get to know and love Lucy. *hugs*
I am so sorry. You did not fail her, it was just her time to go. Her illness was too much for her little body. Don’t feel bad. You loved her and did the best for her, she knows that and is surely looking down on you with gratitude from the Rainbow Bridge. Big hugs for you as you grieve your parting.
I’m so sorry KellyC! You did exactly what Lucy needed; it was just her time. There is a very true saying that our pets will always leave us before we are ready…it’s just the way of things. HUGS!!!!!
Oh wow! So sorry! Little Lucy knew she was well loved! Birds are very fragile, and you did everything you could.
I’m so sorry to hear about Lucy. You loved her and took care of her perfectly – please know that you did. We always think we could have done more, but you did your best for her! You will see her again, I believe this in my heart. ❤️
Ohhh, I’m so sorry about your precious girl. I’m sure you did what you could, and you gave her a home where she was loved, which is what matters most. Try to remember that. I know you’ll miss her.
Oh KellyC, I’m so sorry. Please remember how lucky Lucy was to have you (and you to have her) and concentrate on the wonderful memories. Hugs to you.
I´m so sorry that you lost your Lucy, it´s so easy to feel guilty afterwards, but I´m sure you shouldn´t. It´s just awful to lose a pet!
I’m so sad and sorry to hear of this loss. Hugs.
Oh no! I’m so sorry. You were a good birdie mama and did your best
I’m so sorry about Lucy, Kelly.
You did your very best for Lucy. I have no doubt at all about that. Unfortunately birds have a difficult time fighting respiratory issues. Hugs. It hurts so much to lose a beloved animal companion.
I’m so sorry to hear about your beloved Lucy. Even though it doesn’t feel like it, you did the very best for her. She couldn’t have had anyone else love her more.
Sending you hugs and peaceful thoughts! Please be kind to yourself.
So sad, hope you can find solace in the knowledge you did all you could for Lucy.
Oh KellyC, so sorry for the loss of Lucy bird.
I’m wearing the weird and wonderful Cadavre Exquis, the collaboration perfume from Antonio Gardoni and Bruno Fazzolari. I smell like non-sweet chocolate, dried fruits, and curried spice.
I had forgotten about that one — it sounds interesting.
Ahhh, Monet! Others here have mentioned Giverny, and really, if you have the chance to visit (ie, if you’re going to Paris or thereabouts), do DO try to go. It’s nicest in late spring, around June. (I am not even sure it’s open year round?) The gardens are just breath-taking, and so is his much painted pond. The house is…meh. But you don’t go there for the house.
There’s also an art museum nearby (either Impressionist or maybe just Monet?), and a pretty fun auto museum. And some places that sell candles and perfume, though I haven’t bought any.
In Mohur today, because I forgot to wear Arabie this morning and Mohur was the most appealing of my EBP (Emergency Backup Perfume) scents at work. Mohur is never wrong.
Yep, the Musée des impressionismes Giverny. It’s quite nice actually. I love it that Mohur is one of your EBP’s.
Yeah, I liked it a lot 🙂 It’s very small and manageable/relaxing, which made it perfect for a day out in the countryside!
A kind NSTer gave me a set of NVC travel sprays–10 mL bottles of Mohur, Trayee, and Bombay Bling. No better EBP set! I am always happy to smell like one of those three, even if they are not my top choice for that day.
Another great museum west of Rouen is the Musée Boudin in Honfleur. A nice size and a lovely collection, plus Honfleur is gorgeous!
I’m about to go work out on the ramp at the airport in my carhartt overalls wearing Nahema EDP lol. Not exactly the most “butch” scent to go with my blue collar-ish part time job but I’ve never been one for conventions or conventional gender assignments for fragrance. I just wear what I like!
Hope your day is all the better for smelling of roses.
You smell perfect for any environment!
That’s awesome and I totally support that whole scenario!
Big thumbs up!
Go do what you do! (And smell amazing doing it….) 🙂
Well, I for one think carhartt overalls and Nahema go great together! ????????
Exactly!
I think that’s a perfect combo!
Excellent! ????
I wish all airports smelled as good as you.
Last night I went to 3 Bath and Body Works stores and I just visited the last one few minutes ago. They had no idea what Kaleidoscope was. I asked them to check on their website and they don’t know anything about its release. The managers told me it might be an online exclusive because they don’t have any orders coming in, unless it will show up at the stores for the holidays. I tried the body mist of In the Stars (they were not carrying the EdP) and it was very boring. A sweet citrusy scent that dissapeared 20 minutes later. The body lotion lasted a good hour, but nothing memorable. Money saved!
I am wearing Queen by Queen Latifah, an uplifting no-brainer for a day of nonsense meetings out of the office. Have a great day everyone!
I tried the Stars one too. Very disappointing. It didn’t even smell like perfume to me. More like a shower gel smell.
That is why I do not have great expectations with the new releases of B&BW anymore. They are not interesting at all. I still have some eau de parfums from many years ago like Cherry Blossom, White Citrus, Cotton Blossom and even though they were not amazing perfumes they performed much better and were pretty decent. The boring In the Stars line might be another sign that Kaleidoscope is on the same vein. So if I happen to see it in the stores later I will give it a try, but I will not look for it specifically again.
I had an appointment this morning so played it safe with Aroma M Vanilla Hinoki.
You smell good!
SOTD the very cozy Dior Homme EDT. Not a gourmand and not really savory, but has a nice rooty opening
Hugs and good vibes to all those in pain today!
We really need all the good vibes around here that we can get.
I’ll be wearing Map of the Heart No 2 today, because the heart shaped bottle is so appropriate.
I have a follow-up appointment with the cardiologist, and I’m expecting that will be the last one. At my last appointment three months ago, I didn’t feel great, hence the follow-up, but it turns out that my symptoms then were gastric not cardiac.
It seems I’m a bit sensitive to the daily low-dose aspirin, and now I’m taking a pill to counteract the first pill 🙂
Hope all goes well and you get the green flag!
Thank you! At least I’ll smell good, whatever happens.
Good luck Gaynor. It will soon be summer!
Thinking of you, and hoping all is well.
Fingers crossed!
Slept super late today (9:45!) and just now finishing breakfast and sipping some boiling hot coffee.
Still haven’t decided if I want to head out of town and explore today or lay low in a park. Heading down to Monterey tomorrow with a friend so may just hang out today.
I quickly decided on Safran Troublant for today’s scent ‘cause it’s beautamous, especially this time of year. Happy hump day to all
I am glad to see someone is sleeping even later than I am! I have gotten into such a bad sleep / wake schedule.
Enjoying my sample of Memo Tiger’s Nest again. I finally figured out what it reminds me of: Tauer L’Air du Désert Marocain. It smelled rally familiar, I’m glad to have finally solved the mystery.
Hope your little pupster is eating better today ????
No food yet today, due to an early-morning traumatic vet trip. She’s sleeping it off right now, but hopefully she’ll perk up for supper. Thanks so much for your kind thoughts.
I only just learned of the existence of this scent, and found the name very intriguing. Have you tried Byredo 1996? Does that smell just like LADDM to you? I’m trying to find people to agree with me so I don’t feel like I’m going crazy.
I own 1996 and it does not remind me of LADDM. On me, 1996 is iris, leather and patchouli. LADDM is more amber, incense and spice.
Ok, well…that’s two no votes then. I get iris, leather, and patchouli from LADDM, though! But it sounds like my nose is the wonky one. Or maybe I need to spend more time with my sample of 1996.
I recently sampled Tiger’s Nest and I’m sure I need a bottle, though I may be restrained and only get a travel spray.
I’ve gone very classic and feminine with Love, Chloe. Of course, I finally decide I like this and buy a bottle AFTER it has been discontinued …
And of course it’s the best of their modern output! (imho, obviously)
Was in Kenzo Amour as I kept someone company while getting a CT scan.
Heading to see Boz Scaggs tonight, so am thinking something that won’t be too noticeable to those around but will make me know it’s there. Either more Amour or the Jasmins Marzipane I think.
More Amour! It’s one of my faves. I have very fond memories of listening to Bos Skaggs in my long-ago college days. Have fun!
Hope it is (was!) a fun concert!
It’s been that kind of a week, so I’m firmly wearing Wood Sage and Sea Salt and have been for the last two days. It’s my “ultimate blankie comfort scent”, and I really need it. Just trying to stay afloat and not drown, and then the universe starts throwing all the punches right at me.
PSA: If you loved (or missed) And The World is Yours by A Lab on Fire, luckyscent has it back in stock. I tried it. It’s gorgeous.
Hugs, love and peace to everyone. It’s been a rough week.
Sorry you’ve had a rough week, but hoping things start looking better as of right now!
Everyone needs a blankie some days. Wrap yourself well.
And thanks for the PSA. ????
Hugs, peace and love right back to you. I know what you mean about just trying to stay afloat, sometimes things come in such quick succession, you can’t catch a breath. I’m wishing you a deep breath and calm.
Sorry for the rough week <3
It certainly has been a tough week so far and it’s only day 2 of a work week.
My very good friend had the devastating news that her beloved doggie passed away last night. He had been sick but after having tests done, they were mostly given the ‘ok’. Sadly he took a turn for the worse and and could not come out of it. She is just heartbroken.
Another good friend (who lost her husband last year in a freak accident) was going to meet is in Florida next week. She messaged me that she probably can’t make it; she is helping look after her Dad as his cancer has returned. All the sadness and horrible things happening right now makes me want to run away and hide!
I’m wearing some L’Attessa and La Pausa to calm myself down.
I’m wearing JMWS&SS today in solidarity with you, Sistine!
Extra points for a lovely photo pick today Robin!!
I had a bad reaction to immortelle yesterday which after scrubbing well seemed to linger still today. I grabbed my emergency free dabber in my makeup kit at the great and it was a surprise sample of Child Perfume

Instant mood improvement with a BWF!!
Happy hump day everyone.
Wow, that is some long lasting immortelle (no pun intended)!
I’m late to the discussion, but my thoughts, prayers and feelings for everyone who is going through a difficult situation right now. We have a good group here and we all care about each other, and hopefully that can bring some comfort, too.
It finally is less cold where I am, so I broke out The Different Company Sienne d’Orange.
It’s so true, what you said. We really do care about each other.
I’m late today. It was busy, since I went to PT, then to tour a senior day activity center that my mom could possibly go to if she comes to live with me this winter. It’s an excellent and impressive place, and they have space, but it made me worry a bit about whether she’d be eligible. It’s for people with mild to moderate dementia and they do their own assessment. So many activities: choir, which she would love, card playing, art, pool, putting green, garden club, Bible study. The people there looked happy and interested. Well, after that I had a haircut at Ulta and smelled a few things and sprayed on some sort of Coco light—NOT Mademoiselle, which I despise—pretty nice! Then I had to take poor Dusty to the vet for a bad ear infection, which really stinks. Poor kitty, he’s so scared. He got an antibiotic and steroid shot and some ear goop and I do hope he’ll improve soon.
Oh, I must have missed about your mom coming to live with you. That might take some worry off of you. I’m curious about the perfume you tried, it might have been Coco Mademoiselle Intense? Which I think is quite different from the current Mademoiselle.
I think it was Coco Eau de Toilette.
I hope your mother qualifies. It sounds like a wonderful place to live.
I really hope your kitty’s ear is better soon. Cats and ear goop sounds like a painful combination.
Wow ! That is quite a day Calypso!
Fingers crossed for your Mom’s qualifying there. It sounds like a lovely place.
Thank you.
I think someone mentioned that they were wearing MH Fleurs de Sel yesterday and I decided that I needed to wear that one today. It is smelling so good.
