It's Tuesday, and it's Candy Corn Day (timed to remind you to buy Halloween candy, perhaps), and I'm late again. What fragrance are you wearing?
I went with Imaginary Authors O, Unknown! I'm not sure it fits Keats' autumn but it is a good fit with mine.
Reminder: 11/2 will be To Autumn Friday. Wear a fragrance that matches John Keats, To Autumn. Suggested by happy888cat.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2018, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

SOTD is Lancome’s Sikkim, green, bone-dry chypre/leather. Haven’t worn this one in a while, much thanks to a fellow perfumista for introducing me to it. 🙂
Just hearing about Candy Corn makes my teeth hurt!
I like the chocolate candy corn, but I haven’t had any in years.
Yesterday and today the house of Lancome is making an appearance
Yep, absolutely!
I love candy corn, but it makes my teeth feel fuzzy. SOTD for me is Tam Dao, which is becoming a go-to lately.
You smell good! Joining you in a bit of sandalwood essential oil.
Love Tam Dao. You smell great.
You smell good!
It is so funny to read your comment about candy corn. My husband likes dark, tannic red wines. When I drink some of them, I’ll tell him that it feels like the wine is taking all of my tooth enamel away when the wine touches my teeth. Candy corn does the opposite I guess, lol
Tam Dao is very comfy, I think a full bottle would make me monogamous for a long time. 😀
I’m wearing Timbuktu for the first time in a long while. I really love it, and it is one of the reasons L’Artisan is among my top three frangrance houses.
You smell great! Timbuktu is one of those scents that stun me every time, even though I already expect them to be great.
I will pass on the candy corn..
I eat my 4 squares of dark chocolate everyday 😉
Lubin Grisette from a sample. Oh good grief, how can they charge so much money for something that smells so generic!
Tea: Shalimar Tea
I’m with you on the chocolate! Milk or dark? What bars do you enjoy?
I prefer dark chocolate, what about you?
Some of my favorites are Tony Chocolonely dark chocolate, Green & Blacks dark chocolate. do you live near a TJ’s? Honestly, there 72% dark chocolate is fabulous and so is the price tag!
I LOVE TJ’s chocolate, it’s really delicious!
If I’m going spendy, I like Dagoba’s Picante Chocolate
with chilies & Nibs. 🙂
Oh good grief, how can they charge so much money for something that smells so generic — the perfumista’s lament!
I eat dark chocolate every day too! 😀 Current favorite is Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Lover’s 85% Cacao bar.
I love candy corn, and when I worked at a store with bulk candy, I ate more than I’d care to admit. They had caramel flavored ones that I push to the back of my mind these days….
I’m in Cuir de Lancome, courtesy of the splitmeet. I totally get the adoration it gets and can’t wait to see how it progresses!
Wow – I love candy corn as a kid, but I just can’t do it anymore ????
You smell great!
I, of course, think you smell great!
SOTD is Patou Joy (vintage EdT). No connection to the theme, just felt like wearing it. 🙂
Random story remotely related to perfume. Last week I played a video game which had a brothel named Gilded Lily. 😀 I immediatley thought about Ineke Gilded Lily sample I had. I was already wearing a scent at that time, otherwise I would definitely wear it while playing.
You smell marvelous!
Good to know I’m not the only video game playing adult here. I was feeling so lonely????
Hi, fellow gamer. 🙂
I went with Box of Eels today. It doesn’t match the poem but I want to wear this beautiful sandalwood fragrance in the fall.
You smell goooood.
Oh, there must be a way we can make it match! Because I am not doing well with the project so far, and now I want to wear Box of Eels.
Ode to a Nightingeel?
🙂
Excellent.
????
SOTD + splitmeet offer
1. Trayee! So happy this just arrived yesterday ???? Trayee could probably fit into the Keates poem but nothing is coming to mind right now ???? Many thanks to Therabbitsflower for the heads up about the Olfactif sale – I hadn’t heard of Olfatctiv, which seems like an interesting retail outlet – they’re shipping is certainly superfast!
2. Split offer of one Trayee 15ml travel spray for $39.50. I paid a total of $73 ($63 for a set of two travel sprays + $10 shipping) / 2 = $36.50 + $3 for me to ship to you = $39.50.
Please dibs here and then email me
a cal der aio to the geeee male
Dibs!
You got it!
Olfactif is more a curated perfume subscription service than anything else – I used my first year in the perfume rabbit hole and it was such a thoughtful encounter. The written text that go with each perfume in the box each month was lovely, and you get the option to buy a FB of the one you like at discount.
sounds like something to seriously consider
Too early for scent – I’m not even truly awake. As a child, I once ate so much candy corn that I triggered a rather alarming incidence of vomiting large globs of orange goo, and I haven’t been tempted since.
I had the same with white chocolate. Surest way to make someone stay away from something for a lifetime.
My brother did this exact thing with baked beans, of all things. Just the smell of them would have him heaving after that????
Chocolate covered cherries for me.
Marshmallow Fluff is my nausea inducing sweet.
I’m close to you–it was those orange-colored marshmallow candies I ate too many of in around 4th grade right around Halloween, in fact. Can’t stand the sight of them now!
Were those Circus Peanuts? I’m having a very vivid taste/scent/texture memory of those right now.
I’m Team Candy Corn.
Feeling floral today so I went for 24 Faubourg.
The more I read the poem the more I realize 1. I am not a Keats fan and 2. I can’t think of anything in my collection that touches on that honeyed-apple-harvest feeling; I’m so curious to see what people wear on Friday. I do love the idea of poetry for the CPs and hope we do more! Maybe we could do the Wasteland in April; am I joking or not? Even I don’t know. It’s probably far too long but I certainly wouldn’t mind trying to find a perfume that mixes memory with desire.
That’s a pretty cool idea.
Waste Land would be really hard as a project, given the bleak subject matter…the mixing of ‘memory and desire’ causes anguish / despair rather than celebration in that stanza, after all. And the poem later specifically gives a sinister connotation to “strange synthetic perfumes”.
I had to google candy corn . It’s not something I have ever seen down here
You’re not missing much. Imo.
I liked it when I was a kid. I haven’t had it in ages, but I’m pretty sure that if I had some now, I would wonder “What on earth was I thinking???”
“And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For summer has o’er-brimm’d their clammy cells.”
Wearing Dirty Honey by 4160 Tuesdays.
Overflowing bee cells indeed. This one is rich and sweet, while never really flowing into gourmand. A dark, sweet secret
You could spin “A dark, sweet secret” into its own haiku!
Oh, good call!
Brilliant!
I love that photo! It’s very serene.
I’m trying Gallivant’s Brooklyn today. I really like it – it’s just really casually nice, and 3 students have complimented me.
Candy corn for the win. A friend of mine at a very stressful job once brought in 2 pounds from the bulk store. We ate so much while talking about our horrible day that I had heart palpitations and he had to go to the emergency dentist the next day. I still love it though, just in moderation.
I am so glad you like it, especially since it’s Tuesday and after I posted it I remembered it was supposed to be a teapot, or something to do with tea 🙂
I was wondering how you were going to fit teapot Tuesday in with Halloween. Although I’m only a vary rare and casual tea drinker now, I have great memories of tea and brown bread with jam we had when visiting family on the farm in Ireland. No fancy teapots there, but still, the ritual was wonderful.
I found a good one last year:
https://nstperfume.com/2017/10/31/tuesday-scent-of-the-day-1031/
But I probably can’t top that this year anyway 🙂
SotD = CdG Avignon
Avignon smells cold to my nose this morning.
Be well, NSTers!
You smell great Tiffanie!
thanks, Robin. Avignon hasn’t failed me yet! 😀
You’re smelling wonderfully holy today! ✌????
in the cold morning air, Avignon did smell more of cold stone, holy is a good word for the feeling. 😉
Such a wonderful scent
agree! Avignon is a heavenly delight.
I am wearing Providence Perfume Co Violet Beauregarde and drinking a cup of Shalimar tea.
Were you peeking in my kitchen window? Tea Twins!
You know it !!
It is so nice and smooth 🙂
Good morning Y’all! Candy corn is a no-go for me…..The kids like it though, and I do have a candy corn shaped pillow on the sofa. So maybe it’s a kinda-go! 🙂
Sampling Byredo’s Eleventh Hour today. GORGEOUS. Very short lived on my skin though….just 3 hours in and it’s almost gone. Awesome while it lasts though!
Got a sample of that at last weekend’s Sniffapalooza – will have to pull it out to try this week
I think yours is the first enthusiastic comment I saw about this scent. This is great! I was interested but then put off by the reception.
It’s great, but not sure I could ever justify the price tag for a 3 hour scent! 🙂
Oh yes, that’s really frustrating about Byredo. :/
For what it’s worth, I spritzed some on the back of my hand when I tested it and I could still smell it well about 6 hours later (but most things last well on me).
Oh that’s good to know, definitely have to test it on skin then!
Well, is it me or is it a strange name for a perfume? I would have great expectations of some sort of transcendental scent the really left me breathless…
Love candy corn. Wearing Papillon Dryad, a Perfume Guide-inspired sample purchase even though galbanum and I don’t usually get along. I’m still not a green perfume person but this is the best one I’ve tried and I’ll happily finish the sample; it doesn’t have the harsh/sad soap vibe perfume’s like Chanel 19 give me.
I love galbanum but 19 is just too too for me.
One handful of candy corn per year is enough for me. I don’t get trick-or-treaters at my apartment – I’m in a neighborhood with lots of students and not many families with kids – so I wait to buy my Halloween candy until Nov 1, when it’s on clearance!
Still on my Dune use-it-up mission, but today I amped it up with some sandalwood essential oil.
Wow, that must be one gorgeous combo!
Good morning, NST fam. I’m wearing my new Jasmin Marzipan – warm and lovely. Not necessarily on theme but it’s cold enough in New York (and crappy enough merely being *in* midtown) that its warmth is providing a nice, comforting element I’m always down for.
Have a good day everyone!
Mmm, yum.
Twins! Met someone for coffee, and I could smell it wafting throughout our time together.
We smell good.
Lovestosmellgood was asking about the projection on this one – sounds like it’s pretty good for you?
Yes, how is the the projection?
Projection felt quite good to me. I can rarely smell myself. That being said, my companion didn’t comment.
I liked the more almondy dry down.
I was intrigued by JM when I read about it in the Guide and glad to see that people here are liking it (not every 5 star in the guide has panned out for me). But I’m determined to stop buying unsiffed even at $35!
I was just admiring the matching candle, it’s so pretty.
SOTD is my old standby Chanel Iris Poudre.
Malle Iris Poudre? Chanel 19 Poudre?
Wearing En Passant today. Had such a strange craving for it.
En Passant is a beautiful name for a beautiful perfume. 🙂
I’m looking forward to the November 9th theme as I recently came back from a trip to Italy and went to the Carthusia store in Capri. I ended up buying the newest version of Fiori di Capri (although I still have a lot left in a vintage bottle I bought long ago). I also purchased the matching soap.
Oh! How is the new version? I think I might have vintage, but I don’t know. Bought mine on eBay a year or so ago. It’s one of my favorites.
The new one is nice but different from the vintage. It still lives up to its name as it’s very floral.
Candy corn is a NO. I used to like it but the overwhelming sugary sweetness has put me off for life.
In Eau Premiere because I am wearing a crisp white shirt, secondhand Celine wool crepe trousers, Tretorn sneakers and gold earrings. I feel boss.
*cracks knuckles to do 10 hours of auditing and coding work*
Go girl! You want to come down here and load up my van for me? I am really dawdling…????
I would actually love to help. My eyes are swimming in numbers and commands!
Eau Premiere is perfect for being boss!
Hey there, friends! I feel pretty dreadful this morning again, which is disappointing because I mostly slept through the night. I guess not getting enough sleep the entire time I was in Iceland is catching up to me now.
Ah well. I smell great in Dior Vetiver. I wouldn’t have caught the coffee note if I hadn’t been looking for it, and honestly, this one is not special enough to really deserve a place in my collection, which already has roughly 23 vetivers in it. Nonetheless, I will thoroughly enjoy my decant, because, well, it’s a great vetiver.
Wish me luck on getting through my vacation week work e-mail today! I had meant to get through it all yesterday, but instead, I had 37 hours of meetings (yep, all in one day), so I got through less than a third.
You sure like your vetivers! 23 is impressive. Which ones are your favourites?
Sorry about the jet lag. I read the posts you wrote about your Scandinavian trip with great interest. I used to spend my summer holidays in Norway and Sweden, but have never been to Iceland. My sister has (twice) and I think it’s still her favourite place in the world.
I’m sorry! I didn’t literally mean 23 vetivers. I just threw out a prime number that was larger than whatever my real number of vetivers must be. I hoped it was a large enough number to indicate exaggeration, but I suppose lots of people here probably do actually have 23 vetivers.
My favorite is probably Sycomore! It’s just so dark and complex and beautiful. I thought the EDT was quite raw (whatever that means; scratchy? rough?), but the EDP is really polished and almost a little fruity.
If not Sycomore, then Vetiver Tonka might be my favorite. A darker, more gourmand side of vetiver!
I have a special place in my heart for Guerlain Vetiver, my first vetiver and one of my first ever FB purchases. It is much easier to love. A starter vetiver!
I’m also really fond of CDG Vettiveru, but it disappears within half an hour of application.
I realistically probably have closer to ten vetiver scents 🙂 But I’m really obsessed with that beautiful, dirty, earthy note, and I’m always on the hunt for new ones. People have mentioned a smokey vetiver that I really need to try (I wish I could remember its name!). I love smoke AND vetiver, so I can’t imagine not liking that.
If your sister loves Iceland that much, then you don’t need me to encourage you to go 🙂 I talked to a bunch of Swedes who all sounded really excited about my trip to Iceland, but none of them have ever been! “It’s hard to convince ourselves to go to a cold country on vacation,” they said. But you should totally go! It’s a much easier flight for you than it is for us Americans, especially those of us on the west coast. It’s really spectacular; I will most definitely go back.
Phew, long response, sorry; I’m just procrastinating on work!
I love vetivers! Sycomore is also one of my favs even though I never managed to get a bottle of the LE edt, which is my preference. I also love mixing my own concoctions with vetiver e/o. I wear my own vetiver mix more than anything else during the summer. It just makes me feel good. Just for fun: you may want to try if you can Tauer’s Vetiver Dance which is a lot like vetiver and fresh cut grass (IMHO), and also the 2nd Carvan Vetiver edt that was released a few years ago in the solid turquoise-green bottle. It is a very cozy vetiver.
I really need to get my hands on some vetiver EO. Do you have any favorite brands?
Thanks for the recommendations! I will look for them! I feel like I must’ve tried Carven Vetiver, but I thought it was vintage. Perhaps this is a reformulation?
I love the vetiver from av-at dot com. Appalachian Valley. They have a really outstanding collection of e/o.
I love long responses and I understand procrastination very well indeed.
Have you ever tried the original Vetiver by Goutal, Givenchy Vetyver or Encre Noir?
I agree with you on Sycomore EDT, haven’t tried the EDP yet. It’s very beautiful, but too close to Encre to justify paying that much for another vetiver. Wouldn’t mind a small bottle though.
I haven’t tried the Goutal or Givenchy (I didn’t even know there was a Givenchy Vetyver!), but I do have and enjoy Encre Noire! Well–EN and I have good days and bad days. Sometimes there’s a note that reeeeeeally bothers me in it (the iso-e super, perhaps?). But on other days, I love it!!! Sycomore is VERY different from EN for me. I don’t regret getting my 75-mL bottle 🙂
I just realized that I totally have tried the Goutal Vetiver! But I find it a little thin and it disappears very quickly on me 🙁
I´m guessing that you tried the new cologne version. The original is STRONG and lasts.
I hear you on the jet lag. The last time I flew, it took me a couple of days to feel right again. On the plus side, I found that staying hydrated seemed to make things feel a little less discombobulated.
Wearing the original Nina by Nina Ricci. No particular reason other than that I couldn’t think of what to wear and this always seems to hit the spot.
I love that old Nina, and the bottle was divine. I sometimes wish I had kept mine, but it went to a loving home before I moved across the country years ago.
I’m in PdE Amber Russe today. Haven’t worn it in ages and have a 10ml decant I bought a thousand years ago. Hitting all the right buttons today with its smooth, boozy, chillaxed vibe. Mmmm!
I’ve read that candy corn is the WORST type of Halloween candy known to mankind, but you can’t believe everything you read, right?
Hope all the kiddos have a great Halloween and get buckets and buckets of candy. ????
Candy corn is just food dye and corn syrup, no redeeming qualities for me. I’ll take chocolate any day.
Me too. Although according to the article I read, twizzlers are right up at the top of the “worst” list too, and I LOVE them. No accounting for taste, I guess ????
Twizzlers are the best. (Well, actually Nibs are best…) That article is just WRONG.
Nibs all the way!
PS Robin: forgot to mention this yesterday, but thanks for linking to the poem page that also allows listening as well as reading. Poems are meant to be listened to, in my opinion, and the experience is so much MORE when I just close my eyes and listen. ????????
OH, I did not even notice it would read to you! How cool, thank you.
Deva you smell fab! I finished my decant of AR last winter and was thinking about getting some more- one of the best ambers I came across.
It is beautifully smooth, isn’t it? Would love it if this line came out with travel sizes because there are so many that I like.
I haven’t tried many, only AR and Cuir Ottoman(nice, but a little difficult to wear since I am not a fan of leather note). Agree on travel sprays- I’d get one in a heart beat.
@Deva – PdE has travel sizes, not to enable or anything MWAHAHAHAHA
I love to eat candy corn but it is the worst. I always have bizarre nightmares (someone is trying to chase me down, I forgot to do my final exams, and my car brakes were cut) if I eat more than three pieces!
Oh my — just from the sugar?
Split offer: hajusuuri and I are talking about splitting the Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere set from QVC. I want the tub of body souffle and she wants the perfume. Does anyone here want the big bottle of shower gel?
I am sampling today, working out what I want to buy for my yearly order from First in Fragrance.
????????♀️ Oh yah. If it is not taken, I’ll take the shower gel. Was thinking as I started to read your post that what I’d like is the shower gel. I’ll ping you.
It’s yours!
Candy corn is not my favorite candy at all, but we used to have fun trying to stick them onto our incisors to make vampire teeth when we were kids.
SOTD is Chanel Coco edp which is helping me feel fabulous even though I am seriously dragging.
Your SOTD is what I should be wearing today…
I only recently tried Coco for the first time and am lemming a bit. You smell good.
Lol about the vampire candy corn teeth!! Kids do the funniest stuff 🙂
You smell beautiful !
Traveling, but if I was home I would have chosen that one. Just right when the whether is getting colder.
I used to do the same thing with candy corn re: vampire teeth. It drove my mom nuts.
LOL, we did the candy corn vampire fangs too! 😀
Sotd is Noir de Noir. Drinking tumeric and chile tea. Hoping the worknight goes by fast.
Yikes, nights! ????????♀️
Hope it goes by super quick for you! Is the Noir de Noir the one marketed for men? I think I sampled both and really like the “men’s” version much better.
I think you are thinking of Noir Extreme. The women’s and mens versions are similar but I’m with you and prefer the mens.
Drained my decant of Teo Cabanel Barkhane- good buy my little friend, you were wonderful and will be missed!
A moment of silence for the thunk into the trash can
LOL! It is not that tragic, I am just a little sad, because it seems like Teo Cabanel is no longer in business and I can not locate a bottle of Barkhane ( or decant more realistically speaking).
Carner Barcelona D600 for a good mood today.
Can you believe the temperature jumped from 9*C yesterday to 19 today!? Crazy!
Nice though! Anything warmer is better 🙂
Jo Malone Poppy and Barley for the granary and the smell of poppies. I have to say that our weather has taken a turn for the worse since this autumn project came up. We’ve had rain, mist and drizzle all week
I am sorry your weather is participating in the project 🙁
I’m wearing Le Labo Santal 33. Spices and woods fit the autumn theme in my mind even if I find this one a bit too linear for frequent wearing. Box of Eels tomorrow!
that is the unofficial perfume of NYC
I read that. I’m wondering if Seattle (where I live) has an unofficial perfume? I would love it if Le Labo came out with a city exclusive for us. Even though I don’t really like exclusives…
you smell(ed) great! I understand this is very ubiquitous in certain quarters – but not in the suburbs! I was all ready to not like this….but I did – it’s great!
Decided on a whim that while Sahara Noir was not work appropriate Wenge is and made it my sotd. Interested about the various views on candy corn, I do like Mary Janes if memory serves, it’s not to be found in the UK.
I had no idea people were so opinionated on the subject of candy corn 🙂
Today is totally not like autumn – although we’re well in to spring, trees still have the very bright look of new growth. It’s one of those days that looks lovely, but is actually quite cold.
I’d forgotten how much I like Keats, and I’m taking my inspiration from one of his other odes – Ode to a Nightingale is quite mournful, and I’m planning to wear Serge Lutens’ De Profundis. The lines “magic casements, opening on the foam of perilous seas, in faery lands forlorn” gives me goosebumps every time.
Oh perfect!
I am in Joop Le Bain, although it has faded by now.
I did my lecture on religion and scent today and brought in frankincense and myrrhe for the students to smell – they were shocked that aromatic resins come from trees!
As part of a broader discussion of how “oriental” fragrances at times get branded in very Orientalist ways, I left them sniff Shalimar and Gallivant Istanbul as a counter example in terms of packaging/branding – they all disliked Shalimar (alot!) but loved Istanbul. I think I may have enabled more than one…
Anyway it was fun sniffing and reflecting in a systematic way and I realized as I was preparing my lecture notes how much of my olfactory knowledge comes from this community, the blogs, and the wonderful perfumistas that inhabit these spaces. So awesome!
Oh, I wish I had had a cool professor like you! What was the average age of the group?
Thanks Deva that’s sweet of you to say! They are juniors and seniors – so 20 on average?
One of them brought in a Demeter perfume called Holy Smoke that I didn’t know existed – meant to evoke mass.
What an interesting and hands on lecture, I wish I could have sat in! I’ll have to seek out Istanbul when I get to the only niche perfume boutique remotely close to me (40 min.).
I’ve smelled Holy Smoke, but it doesn’t evoke mass for me. I’m still interested in finding a good “Chrism” scent, the oil they use in baptisms – so good.
I went to a library lecture recently by Michelle Krell Kydd of the blog glass petal smoke (lecture series is called smell and tell and it is sooo much fun!) and she had Chrism oil for us to smell. It was lovely. Might be worth emailing her!
The lecture sounds like it would have been very interesting – I will look up her blog!
I never hear about anything interesting like that where I live – maybe I just don’t have my ear to the wall – or my nose to the wall 😉
And I would be happy to send you a sample of Istanbul! Email me at yasminaz squared in gmailland
that is so kind of you to offer! I am definitely going to take a trip to the perfume shop, and I now they stock Gallivant – thank you very much tho!
Oh yay, so glad to see your report!
I am for some reason made happy that people did not immediately love Shalimar, can’t explain why, and also that a student owned Holy Smoke.
Hello all, I’m at the senior living community dining room watching my mom play cards with some other ladies. Looks like fun and they have a lot of snacks on hand including cookies, peanut butter cups, and–you guessed it–CANDY CORN! It’s snack break time right now. I passed except for the peanut butter cup. Tomorrow they will have a parade through the senior center of little kids in their Halloween costumes. Can’t wait to see that! It’s awaited with great expectancy. The kids get a bag of candy at the end. My SOTD is Amouage Library Opus VIII. I’ve only got a small selection up north with me and not sure what if anything I can find on Friday to fit with the Keats poem. It’s a fun project!
Hope that means that your mom is settling in and adjusting well to the community — and has completely recovered from the scary fall you both took last week.
Resisting peanut butter cups would just be silly…
candy corn, nom nom nom! I can’t buy any or I will eat enough to regret it. 😉
Dying to know (since I will be there soon enough) what card games ladies are playing in the senior center these days?
One game (the easier) was called Golf and the goal seemed to be to get the lowest score by passing high-scoring cards to the next lady. The other table was playing Canasta.
Interesting, thanks!
So late today. I was more productive today than yesterday and it helped that it is a gorgeous, picture-perfect, Fall day.
Wearing Kismet that arrived from a swap and am enjoying it. Definitely a relative of Shalimar (which I think actually came later). Kismet is less complex and softer, but that works fine for me! Sometimes I don’t want to have to think too much.
I love the Kismet back story – very imaginative
SOTD is Fils de Dieu etc… Sunny scent for a stormy und cold autumn day.
Went shopping for sock yarn and found a nice perfumery in the town i work. Usually never go there for shopping. Tested SL Dent de Lait, which smells like cornflakes in hot honeymilk or a granola bar.
Found some Bottega Veneta 30 ml for half price und bought it. i am not Sorry ????
Nice deal on the Bottega Veneta! I wouldn’t be sorry about it either!
And I love the old elephant bottle! Wish they still used it.
Oops! Not sure how this got here? Replying to yasmina in my post.
And agree, money well spent!
Staying a bit powdery again today in Marron Chic by Nez a Nez (my notes actually say “dusty” instead of powdery…).
I’m in Baiser de Russie, refreshed, after a long day of meetings for work in MD. It’s my birthday, which at my age is hardly worth noting except that I was treated to birthday songs sung to me this morning in Arabic, French, Turkish, Persian, Kyrgyz, Russian, Portuguese, Indonesian, Malaysian, and Urdu. It took a while and was hilarious. A good laugh and I am still smiling about it.
But here’s the thing. These meetings are with women’s rights leaders and activists from across the globe. Lots of heavy talk, but serendipitously I got into a conversation with a diplomat from a west African country who shops for her beloved Givanchy III on eBay, and a law professor in search of vintage Le Dix. I knew you would be proud of me!
Oh, happy birthday! 25 is such a great age! ????
Happy Scented Birthday! ???? That’s pretty awesome, getting birthday wishes in a multitude of languages.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Happy Birthday! Love that perfume connected you to your colleagues.
Happy birthday! That’s awesome about the multilingual serenade
Happy Birthday Oakland Fresca! ????
Birthdays bring perfumista together…
Happy Birthday! Sounds like a lovely way to celebrate.
birthday blessings and perfumista props to you, Oakland Fresca! 😀
Happy Birthday!
Wishing you a Happy Birthday!
Very happy birthday, and how lovely that you were treated to songs in so many languages! and Le Dix, how cool is that!
Running late today, so twins with Robin in that regard. It was a beautiful, perfect fall day today, so I made sure to get outside and just take it all in for a few minutes this afternoon. ???????????? It won’t last, so why not take advantage of it?
Back in the Sample Stash again. SOTD = Poison Girl Edt. It’s a much better fit with the weather and the season than yesterday’s pick was. It’s reminding me of Halloween candy today, though. ????
I recently asked for another sample of this at Sephora. I know you like the drydown, but I love the opening so much, I keep respraying ????
Hey, different strokes and all that! ????
It really was gorgeous, and I barely got outside. Afraid to look at the forecast for the rest of the week.
Late to the par-ty but smellin’ great in SL Five O’Clock au Gingembre. Definitely a fall scent.
You do smell great! It’s on deck for me tomorrow.
yummy! 🙂
