Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2018, part 8

Posted by Robin on 6 September 2018 23 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today’s post includes special edition bottles from Chanel and Ferragamo, which don't really add up to a "bunch" but you did not want to wait to see that Chanel bottle, did you?

Coming from Chanel in November, limited edition red bottles of No. 5 L'Eau and No. 5, both in 100 ml. I do not know the price or how widely they will be distributed. (via wwdjapan)

And a better shot, from ElleJapan on Instagram. They list a price of ¥20,000, which would be around $180.

And from Salvatore Ferragamo, the Fashion Edition of Signorina In Fiore: "A precious interpretation of the iconic Signorina in Fiore as a tribute to the gracious petals of the blooming season. Sparkling and floral, Signorina in Fiore is fashioned like a dress embroidered with a thousand flowers; a new, cheerful masterpiece that pays homage to Salvatore Ferragamo's flowery Spring/Summer Collection." In 50 ml Eau de Toilette at Zalora in Singapore.

They had Andy Warhol No 5 paper that your purchase was wrapped in, about 15-20 years ago.
I don’t know if I’m embarrassed or proud to still have some rolled up. LOLOLOL ????????????????

Me, too. And am hoping the real thing is actually closer to the darker red (top photo) than the bright red.

This bottle may get me to make my first/only/ever purchase of No. 5.

Do perfume companies do pre-release sales? If they do I’ll bet every last one of those Chanel bottles will be sold before they appear on any store shelf. (And then they’ll pop up on ebay.)

Oh wow, that red bottle is beautiful… but I wish it had Coco EDP inside. That seems like a better match with the colour.

(This may be me trying to un-lemming.)

That red bottle is killing me dead. There’s no chance I’ll ever see it and I have no interest in owning it but god help me if I ever got my hands on one I’m pretty sure I’d buy it, just to fondle it.

Chanel No. 5 in red glass — is nothing sacred?

I might have reacted more favorably to this if the heat index hadn’t been over 100 degrees this week.

Do you remember prior to colour TV you used to be able to buy sheets of coloured cellophane/perspex that you fitted over the screen to create an impression of (realism) colour (this might have been a NZ thing)…so you would have a sheet that was brown at the base but blue near the top, that sort of thing. Well, Chanel could offer a variety of bottle shaped sheets of different coloured perspex for their bottles…so you could have any colour at all. You could then match your perfume to your outfit.

I’m not a big fan of No5 or L’eau, but I would definitely buy a bottle, if they marketed it like that. ???? The red bottle is stunning, not that I’ll ever see it or buy it.

I need the red Chanel bottle in life.
    It’s absolutely stunning.
Tho I have always imagined No 5 to be yellow or gold, for some reason ;)

Beautiful lines on that Chanel bottle. Sleek. Looks like a well-cut ruby jewel.

Does anyone else feel like the classic #5 smells fresher in the red bottle?
