Regime des Fleurs Birds in Paradise, Gilded Age & Echoes ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 27 August 2018 4 Comments

Niche line Régime des Fleurs has launched three fragrances in the Fait Main collection ("experimental artisan editions"). Birds in Paradise, Gilded Age and Echoes were developed by perfumer Pierre Negrin.

Birds in Paradise ~ "(A vibrant electric nectar) In a dense jungle of braided emeralds, these prisms of plumage dance and sing in ecstatic courtship. The fuchsia scent of ripe guava flesh intertwines with the primal heat of ginger crystals and tiny fire chiles. Sweet and persistent mists grow ever more saturated with the heady vapor from narcotic flowers. Piquant citrus wood and coriander leaves stridently impart their strange and playful glow." The notes include coriander, Sichuan pepper, cardamom, ginger, guava, jasmine, tuberose, cedar, benzoin and hyraceum. 8 ml Extrait de Parfum for $250.

Gilded Age ~ "(A decadent acquisition) Within an imposing rotunda, amber light floods through beveled glass, past ballooning damask taffeta drapery. The entire volume is a jewel box, opulently fitted with treasures: warm gleam of luminous marquetry surfaces, sheen of freshly varnished masterpieces, savory aroma of rich delicacies - all of which demonstrate virtue through rigorous cultivation. The gentle sweetness of pipe smoke and precious incense from far off places contrast with the air outside, thick with progress and industry." The notes include osmanthus, oud wood smoke, white truffles, bergamot, clove, tobacco, rose, saffron, cedar, glove leather and ambergris. 8 ml Extrait de Parfum for $350.

Echoes ~ "(An empyrean horizon) A regatta of crystal ships voyage within an endless silver sea, from one ghost island to the next. Blades of opaline light puncture the cumulous clouds. Stillness - where the oceans above touch the sky below." The notes include patchouli, orris, violet leaf, hazelnut, ambrette and cacao musks, benzoin, asandalwood, angelica, cistus, lavender, mandarin, nutmeg, rosemary, cardamom and cypress. 8 ml Extrait de Parfum for $225.

Régime des Fleurs Birds in Paradise, Gilded Age and Echoes can be found at the brand website.

I like the sound of these. I was just thinking that you could make a cool chess set out of 8ml bottles …I think the caps of these reminded me of pawns. And now I’ve noticed the price. Ha!

Ah, but you have a whole community that has empty bottles they don’t know what to do with! A chess set is a great idea.

That much, for 8 measly ml??? I was always a tad embarrased to confess that at the time i bought a bottle of the Christian Dior La Collection Particulière Passage #8… but that was EUR 320 for a whopping 75 ml of pure perfume! how the times have changed…
