In a statement, the house called the new scent by Dior perfumer-creator François Demachy “an unprecedented fragrance and a powerful universe which mark the beginning of a new era for fragrance at the house of Dior.”
There were no further details available about the upcoming perfume. The last time the brand launched a major fragrance pillar was in 1999, with J’Adore.

I mean, hopefully?
I did see the talk about them tapping Jennifer Lawrence to front it though.
I was more astonished by the “since 1999”.
Yup, I had to do some Googling for that one!
If you only count major feminine pillars, even then, you have Addict in 2002. But it’s true that the vast majority of Dior’s output is flankers and reformulations.
🙂
Dior Addict came out in 2002 I think…and I’d call it a pillar. Looking at Fragrantica, it spawned over a dozen flankers…and probably isn’t done yet.
I wonder what “powerful universe” means, as it relates to fragrance.
It means “we are spending big money on this launch” 😉
I would hate if that scent has as much in common with her personality like Sauvage has with Johnny Depp’s.
Methinks it sounds like The Emperor’s new clothes. I will have to smell it to believe it.
Pffft. I heard this before with Charlotte Tilsbury Scent of a Dream. A very nice perfume, but the marketing made it all like it would turn you into a man eater. I am STILL bitter about this!
