You have to be really careful about scented candles

Posted by Robin on 7 June 2018 4 Comments

Well, it kind of makes you wonder, 'What do I know? What wisdom do I have?' So I started keeping a list of my wisdom. Part of it is, you have to be really careful about scented candles. There's really only two kinds worth having... Diptyque or Trudon.

— David Sedaris, on how he decided what to tell Oberlin graduates in his commencement address. Read more (and watch the video!) at Boing Boing.

Oh wow , the sequin shirt is quite a bold choice. and i laughed at the question … “deep what?” “deep-tee-ck”. :))
On the candle wisdom though… never tried Trudon but Diptique ones fume a lot , even with wick trimming (although I love the Rose one and had several others).
In my search for interesting candles, I was thinking of trying https://www.luckyscent.com/product/77101/beverly-hills-palm-tree-candle-by-maison-la-bougie and https://www.luckyscent.com/brand/762/wary-meyers next. Does anyone know them?

Wait — just realized I watched the speech, but there is also a clip of him with Colbert.
