Monday all over again! It's also Thomas Gainsborough's birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Frédéric Malle Music for a While, which Kevin will review on Wednesday.
Reminder: on 5/18 we're celebrating Museum Day. Wear a fragrance to match your favorite painting (or other object, anything you like!) in a museum, and if you can, post a link to an image.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2018, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: image is detail from Portrait of a Woman by Thomas Gainsborough, via Wikimedia Commons.
SOTD is CDG Avignon. The painting I chose is Portrait of Pope Innocent X by Diego Velázquez. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7f/Retrato_del_Papa_Inocencio_X._Roma%2C_by_Diego_Vel%C3%A1zquez.jpg
Nice pairing!!!
Very nice!
I love that!
Beyond Love for the Modigliani I posted about last week…
For a non perfume question, I am looking for a face wash for my combination/sensitive skin if anyone can recommend anything. I have used Purpose for many years but I think I want to have an alternative.
Paula’s Choice makes a range of face cleansers, and has a sensitive skin line that’s very good. I use the skin recovery cleanser and like it a lot.
Great, thank you
I second Paula’s Choice cleansers. They clean well, do not dry or irritate skin. Just make sure to get the one that fits your skin type or is marked for all types.
I still like good old Cetaphil. Easily found and not $$.
AH..and oldie but goodie!
I’m pretty devoted to Cerave, I like both the creamy and foaming versions. When I feel lazy I use the foaming one, when feeling more ambitious (or wearing more makeup and sunscreen) I start with an oil cleanser and then use the non-foaming version for a second cleanse.
Great, thank you. I think that brand is good for sensitive skin and is on the more affordable side
I like this gentle cleanser – https://www.madhippie.com/products/cream-cleanser
It’s more expensive than yours though. Also, I’d say that it will work better if you have a combination skin prone to dryness.
Looks great, love the name!
Another Mad Hippie Lover! Their lotion and moisturizing oil are both great.
Origins makes great cleansers. I like the one in the white frothy tube. For the life of me, i can’t remember the name.
Is it Cheeks and Bakances?
Yes, that is it.
Fat fingers but you know what inwas getting at!
I recently used up a large bottle of La Roche-Posay Toleraine Purifying Foaming Cleanser for normal to oily skin. I really liked it, and it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I didn’t realize there were two versions when I bought it so next time I’ll go for the Hydrating Gentle Cleanser for normal to dry skin. That will suit my skin type better.
I use and love the Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, it is non-irritating and removes what the makeup remover cloth doesn’t. It also makes for a nice facial massage too. If you sign up online, I think they have frequent specials, 25% off a few times a year.
Thanks for the tip!
Great, I think I used th wrong one too and found it drying. Will find the hydrating one next time
That’s what I use, the La Roche Purifying Foaming Cleanser. I used to use Alpha Hydrox Foaming, but they reformulated it. I then tried a few more natural options, but they all irritated my skin. I’ve been happy with the La Roche.
I use RetinA and my skin can get cranky, CeraVe is good, is inexpensive, ceramides (make the skin act younger) and is fragrance free. It’s one of my favorite go-tos when my skin is aggravated and red. Their moisturizing lotion is also stellar.
I also like Paula’s Choice, but I’m using Olay Gentle Clean foaming cleanser right now. I also have Neogen Rose Cleansing Water. It’s a very gentle micellar water with a beautiful rose scent. I also have some of the Simple Oil Cleanser. I vary among them…
I use a couple of cleansers from Boscia. Their Clear Complexion Cleanser keeps my combination skin happy during the winter months. One bottle will usually last me 6 months. However, it is not cheap.
Wearing Apres l’Ondee for a payroll processing Monday.
One of my favourite springtime scents, and reminds me of this painting:
Purple Landscape- Purple Impressionist Painting is a painting by Lourry Legarde
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/purple-landscape-purple-impressionist-painting-lourry-legarde.html
What a perfect impression for Apres L’Ondee! And you smell lovely. 🙂
No painting, I just felt like chocolate today. 🙂 Ummagumma.
That’s a beauty.
Chocolate is always a great choice
I’m wearing Parfum d’Empire Eau Suave from a sample. This is one that really needs to be sprayed. I can barely smell it.
I really like Eau Suave and went through a 5ml decant fast, but never bought it. You’ve probably pinpointed the reason why I didn’t.
No art, just roses: Etat Libre d’Orange Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection, and I’m burning a little Japanese rose incense, too, just because.
It all sounds like art to me!
Perfect!
I’m wearing L’Artisan Au Bord de l’eau which was inspired by painting of the same title as far as I can remember.
Whoopsie, I misread that as Au the Borg. (O_o), I can thank the hubby for watching too much Star Trek this weekend, I need new glasses..
I’m in Chanel 19 EDP today – too much change in my world recently (all minor changes, but the profusion of them is starting to get to me) and needed something familiar yet spine-strengthening.
Whatever comes, you smell great.
NO 19 is spine strengthening for sure..
Twins. 19 & cristalle get me through the summer, and it turned into summer overnight in the Midwest.
I hope things are ok, No. 19 will certainly be a comfort to you.
Change is hard. You smell great.
Good luck with the all the crazy!
Great choice!
Good morning Y’all….
Wearing Ghost Captivating EdT, a very non-descript, short acting clean scent that smells OK but is not memorable. Glad I only paid $12.99 for it…. LOL
I’ve never seen Ghost scents ANYWHERE in my area (mine came from Ebay)….where have y’all find other Ghost products in the US?
PS. Forgot to mention….so last night, per usual, my hubs says “Hey Honey, I didn’t really buy you anything for Mother’s Day, hope that’s OK….”
So I tell him, “OF COURSE YOU DID! You bought me a 3.3oz bottle of Ysatis off Ebay for $28, normally $100, and it will be here this week! Great job Honey!” He laughs and goes along with it, every single year….
My hubs is a wonderful guy but a lousy shopper. I no longer take it personally and I have been using it to my advantage for YEARS! 🙂 I’ll be smelling fabulous in a few days…..
Ha! There’s a way to celebrate Mother’s Day!
Ha, mine’s the same. I’ve been buying myself “my” gifts for years. About once a decade he’ll come up with something on his own, but for those other 9 years in the decade, I find myself the perfect gifts 😉
That is such a great deal!
Me and the hubs don’t do much in the way of gifts any more, but I did present a list of demands for Mother’s Day:
-sleep in (damn internal clock, I still woke up at the same time!)
-go to brunch at one of my favorite places
-a nice bouquet of flowers
-to not have to make/order/organize dinner
-get a pedicure (went with another mom friend and had a great time).
It’s always easier to let them know what you want – or buy it yourself!
I found one on eBay but we did not get along well.
Yeah, somehow I don’t see you in Ysatis, not for any real reason that i could articulate. Just a feeling.
The Ghost store in NYC used to carry them, but don’t know if they still do, or even if the store is still there. I am pretty sure they have no other official distribution here.
I picked Nasomatto’s Nudiflorum. Lots of Jasmine to start and leather and spice in the dry down. The link below is to Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s Spring(3) which captures the scent.
https://www.giuseppe-arcimboldo.org/Spring-3.html
Jasmine twins!
I saw that whole series at the National Gallery in DC a few years ago — nice pick.
I’ve pretty much been in (the first, Calice Becker) Ines de la Fressange all weekend: peach, rose, ylang, sandalwood, benzoin. Sounds heavy but wears like lightweight challis. Pairing with this painting:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Paul_Biva,_Still_life_with_flowers,_peaches_and_grapes,_oil_on_canvas,_81.2_x_101_cm.jpg
I’m not much of a visual person, TBH, so I think I’ll approach this week’s challenge by finding art to pair with whatever scent I want to wear.
beautiful painting..
I love that painting
I think this week I’ll do museum experiences I’ve had that were memorable. An early one, from high school, is the Duchamp exhibit in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was the first time I felt really breathtaken by visual art. I had a hard time thinking of a perfume for it, but eventually settled on Mitsouko.
Perfect choice!
Big week last week — the company I’ve worked at for almost 10 years got acquired. I was one of the first employees. Pretty cool! SOTD is Odalisque.
It is nice that you are excited and your job is secure!
Not only are all jobs secure, everyone gets a bonus 🙂
Nice!
????
Cool! Hope you can contribute to 401(k) with the bonus if that’s offered.
Today I am wearing Aeon 001, and a warm wrapper of gratitude for the kindness of NSTers. Both are lovely. Thank you.
Right back at you, cricket. Hope all is well with your project / doctoral thesis (?).
Oh crikey, spellcheck changed your name to cricket!
I rather like the autocorrect!
and thanks… it’s picking up a little momentum, which is reassuring.
My Arielle Shoshana sample arrived in the mail over the weekend, so I’m wearing that today. I really like the passionfruit note in this.
The theme this week should be right up my alley, so I’m doing this a little backwards and finding an image to pair with the perfume. I think this fits:
“Still Life with Passionfruit” by Anointette Ferwerda
https://www.antoinetteferwerda.com.au/products/still-life-with-passionfruit
Backwards is fine, and that print is a great match with the scent!
Great scent, and that happy still life is a perfect match for Ari’s perfume.
I just gotten a sample of both Hermes Citron Noir and FM Music For A While. Maybe I’ll wear both, one on each palm (although Music For A While seems to project really strongly, I am sure it will drown out the other poor cologne)
We are half twins?
I’m wearing Epidor today, inspired by Van Gogh’s “The Harvest”.
https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/en/collection/s0030V1962
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
YEEESSSSSSSS. Damn, you smell TERRIFIC.
Wonderful!
Happy Monday!
1) It’s gonna be a high of 88F (31C) today. Whatta scorcha!
2) SOTD of the day: A combo of Korres Jasmin shower gel, a knockoff Rodin skin oil (10 drops each of neroli, jasmine and rose in 3 0z of almond oil) and Cap Neroli. I smell like a Italian summer, and yep, I will be wearing this for the majority of the summer.
3) I wanna be at the beach. Instead I am a grown up and at work, where I will be doing (VOLUNTARY) process documentation. Yeah, mother told me there would be days like this!
Isn’t it annoying, being a responsible grownup? Sigh.
SO annoying…
Ugh so annoying BUT it needed to be done!
Enjoying the seaside and Concentré d’Orange Verte. This morning’s beautiful sun is gone but I won’t that spoil the joy of a holiday at the beach
Nice, I am appropriately jealous!!
Thanks for all the positive work related comments in the weekend thread. ????????
Smelling great in Note Vanillee today.
This past weekend I swapped my winter frags for summer ones. A bit optimistic considering that we were stuck in the fog almost all weekend, and today looks to be the same. Brrrr.
SOTD is Natori, since I realized I hadn’t worn it at all this past winter. It’s still nice.
Brrrrr is right. But I applaud your optimism!
I am wearing Etat Libre d’orange Like This, and currently drinking a cup of English breakfast tea.
On break right now, and almost choked on a pretzel. Jeeze Louise, scared me. Anyway, sotd is Alien The taste of fragrance one. No art pairing, although I am feeling a little art deco….
I would love to see what scent you would chose for Art Deco!
I saw the exhibit Masterpieces in French Jewelry, several of the items (deco period) were jaw dropping.
I’m gonna have to go through and see if I have anything to connect it with properly.
Good gracious, glad you are ok! Food is dangerous.
I know, scared the heck out of me, because I panicked it was worse. Good thing i had my diet coke to help get it unstuck.
Today’s SOTD is L’ Eau Trois by Diptyque, loads of herbs and smoky incense.
The image I chose is King Tut’s funeral mask, which I saw in 1979, in NYC.
https://goo.gl/images/BJ3BTr
I remember when that exhibit came through, there was so much excitement! It’s really cool you got to see it. I’m so superstitious though, I wouldn’t have even if I could have. Although I have no problem with Steve Martin doing King Tut ????
I remember the exhibit like it was yesterday, and the mask was mesmerizing – I must have stood in front of it for several minutes before my dad gave me the nudge to move along.
The embalming process always fascinated me, I used the museum experience to create a presentation for my class in school.
I wanted to see that so badly! But my family did not live anywhere near that Tut exhibition. ????
IIRC, I went to the exhibit while on vacation in Chicago.
It is supposed to really warm up where I am, so I put on some Eau de Polder (L’essence de Mastenbroek). I like to wear this one in warmer temperatures. It is an oil, and is light, but if I put enough on, it does last quite well on me, surprisingly. And I can pair it with a painting that I like, Girl With a Pearl Earring (Johannes Vermeer). since both the perfume and painting are Dutch.
Oh nice — I really liked that scent, and such a great project.
I love Eau de Polder! It’s always on my theoretical list. Such a calming, idyllic scent, though it lasts all of about a half hour on me.
My SOTD is OJ Ta’if. No pairing but van Gogh did a still life of pink roses.
You smell great Petunia!
I think I did this backward because I chose my scent and then paired a painting with it. It’s a hot and humid day in Seattle, so I was immediately drawn to Ninfeo Mio. I’m pairing it with Venus and Adonis by Paolo Veronese:
http://art.seattleartmuseum.org/objects/13949/venus-and-adonis?ctx=f773e8e9-92a9-480c-8929-1a51255a540d&idx=17
I’m wearing a funky black and white print 90s “vintage” cotton tent dress that I picked up at one of my favorite vintage/secondhand shops last weekend and gold dangling earrings of a lady’s winking face. Plus some bright pink lipstick. I’m feeling myself today! I got up early and took a walk with a little jogging mixed in, so that’s helping me feel good on Monday.
You look and smell great! Yay for feeling yourself!
Thank you! I tend to dress the best on Mondays, I think, in an attempt to feel good rather than bad about the start of the work week.
Feeling like yourself is the best!
I didn’t think I would be able to play along, but after choosing my scent, I’ll give it a go. Wearing Eau de Miel (Honey gentle water) by L’Occitane. Since it’s for children, I thought of one of my absolute favorite paintings, A Virgin, by Abbot Thayer.
I used to live in MD, and would visit the Mall often. The Freer & Sackler were my favorite galleries and this painting is enormous and was in the stairway (not sure if it still is – it’s been a while). I love it.
https://www.freersackler.si.edu/object/F1893.11a/
I love it!
It’s very powerful when you see it – it’s huge! I need to get back to DC.
That woman is not taking any garbage from anyone!
My favorite too, and I have already got a Freer pairing planned for later in the week 🙂
Oh! how marvelous. Thank you for the link, it was a treat to read about The Virgin and remember again that those are the artist’s children, painted after the death of their mother. Powerful. I vividly remember seeing the work at the Freer. I have a small print in my dining room and can’t imagine living without Mary, Gerald, and Gladys.
So cool! It does stay with you, as it has been years and years since I’ve seen it in real life. I should get a print as well.
Couldn’t remember this week’s challenge when I sprayed this AM but I am in Blackberry and Bay. I am choosing this painting to pair with it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morning_in_a_Pine_Forest#/media/File:Utro_v_sosnovom_lesu.jpg
Perfect!
Oh, nice.
I’m a big Manet fan, so I will likely look at his paintings this week….
Today, I’m wearing Eric Buterbaugh’s Fragile Violet. My sister passed this along to me. It’s quite lovely.
Here’s a painting by Manet…
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZFtH9nEvR_Y/UN92NZLk2QI/AAAAAAAABfE/hQSHFEcZuY0/s1600/manet+violetas.jpg
Omg, that is just SO beautiful. I wonder how big it is?
I’m not well versed in art, so this week I will be wearing scents from deep in my ‘museum’, from before I took the swan dive down the rabbit hole. I have no idea when I last wore these scents.
First up: Baiser Vole EdP. I should definitely be wearing this more often!
I like your interpretation!
Thanks, LizzieB!
SOTD = Kilian Woman in Gold
I am pairing it with El-Anatsui’s Bottle Cap series where he recycled metal bottle caps and weaves them into various sized pieces to hang. The pieces can be hung and accordioned in infinite ways to create a new art piece. When I think of Woman in Gold, its packaging visual reminds me of these art pieces and it changes based on the angle from which you view it. The perfume itself is versatile, from casual to sophisticated to office friendly and works in all temps although I have not yet worn it when it is scorching out!
https://inhabitat.com/el-anatsui-upcycles-bottle-caps-into-gorgeous-glittering-tapestries/el-anatsui/
I have seen pieces of this series at the Clark Institute in Massachusetts, at the Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City Missouri and in a private collection (dining room art). There’s also one in the Newark Museum in New Jersey which I will definitely see this fall.
In other news:
– an enabler’s pin goes to perfumelover67. I bought the mousse to oil lotion from B&BW (buy 3 get 2 free) and gave one each to my sisters for Mother’s Day. I kept 3 and have started to use the Chamomile and Honey ????????????
– my Sniffapalooza “report” is now available via Undina’s blog. Do check it out and comment to be entered into a random draw!
This link has better pictures:
https://www.npr.org/2013/09/28/174727056/nigerian-bottle-cap-sculptor-taps-museum-staffs-inner-artists
Very cool!
Wow, I love the art!
Your Sniffa report was a lot of fun to read! Bet it was even more fun to attend…
Oh WOW thank you for that link. I’ve only seen one of his pieces before and these are the sort of works I could look at and think about all day.
Lucked into a sealed-in-the-box 100ml bottle of AG’s Eau d’Hadrien at a thrift store this weekend! Now I am dithering about breaking it open, of course . . .
Wearing Clementine California, my favorite of the citrussy Ateliers.
Anyone tried JM’s Jasmine Sambac and Marigold? I had to sit on my hands to prevent a blind buy this weekend . . .
Wow what a great find!
I couldn’t believe it! I think it might be vintage as well.
I just sampled the Jasmine S and Marigold the other day. From a dab sample, so take this with a grain of salt, but I felt I didn’t need it. Very similar IMO to Arquiste Flor y Canto, which I have a decant of. Flor Y Canto is tuberose/magnolia/frangipani, not specifically jasmine sambac, but they are quite similar in feel, with the Arquiste having a slightly more substantial base.
Thanks! I think I’m going to be slightly more reasonable and just order a decant – I’d like a light-ish jasmine for summer, AND I love a marigold note, so I have high hopes for this one.
Well, it IS quite nice. Decant-worthy, if not specifically for me. (I love marigold too.)
I tried it – it was a beautiful jasmine for about 45 minutes, then something else that was floral and delightful (the marigold, I assume) for another hour or so. Then it was amber for about 5 hours. It was lovely, but I really hadn’t expected the amber note to be so dominant. (And it was a bit much for a 95 degree day. I would happily wear it in temperatures under 80 degrees.)
Hmmm. On the upside I LOVE amber, but on the downside I won’t see an under 80 degree day until November . . .
Great find! I love that one!
Aromatics Black Cherry.Slightly boozy, juicy black cherries…I love how this perfume gives the impression of cherries in syryp, without becoming sickly sweet.a Winter favorite on a cold rainy day.SUPERunusual weather we’re having down South in Africa!
Happy Week All!
Not art as such…but OMG….the car and the color…Perfection!!https://goo.gl/images/mdtSFJ
Love that color!
Me too!The color of my wallet…and my dream car!✌????
wowza! That is some car. The mirrors on the floor made me giggle. 😀
Haha!I hadn’t notice,but yeah!Quirky display!Love it though.
That’s my dream lipstick color.
I can see that as an awesome lipstick color, totally agree!
Here ya go! Pretty close…
https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&client=ms-android-sprint-us-revc&source=android-browser&q=nars+audacious+bette#imgrc=CYIoZ0rKj47loM:
I have it and never wear it. It’s a pretty gorgeous color, though.
Oh yes, i have tried that one at ULTA, it is gorgeous. With my daughter liking make up now, I can’t do the high end lines anymore, but I should look for a dupe next time I’m there.
I’d say that custom car is TOTALLY art! Not everyone can make something like that look good.
Thanks to my SO,not only am I a total perfumista,I’ve been turned into a total fumehead as well…I can appreciate a cool custom car now AND tell you more or less what’s happening under the hood….lol.
I was drooling over Chevy Corvettes in kindergarten, so I have been appreciating cars for a while now. And there are quite a few gearheads in my family… maybe it’s genetic? ????
I had to scrape ice off my car windscreen yesterday, the first time since last September and then I fell down a rabbit hole (literally) while out on my dawn walk, which the dogs found so hilarious they had to run in circles and bark hysterically while I got back to my feet…what a terrific game. I have a potted hyacinth in my room that is slowly opening and keeps making me do a double (smell) take as it is so close to Ostara, it’s so lovely and something that might match today’s Gainsborough. Happy trails everyone!
Glad you were able to get back to your feet and did not twist your ankle!
I’m pretty certain that if I ever got injured the dogs would seize the opportunity to start eating me..so that is a good incentive to get up.
Yikes!! ????????
FM Eau de Magnolia. Salty flowers feels just right today..
Sounds perfect to me! You smell great. I shall join you in EdM today.
Nice to have company!
One of my spring favorites!
It’s a good one for spring/summer. Though, I never feel as polished as it smells, which is why I tend to neglect it.
Eau de Magnolia is on my short list for this summer. Well, a travel spray anyway. You smell lovely!
SotD = Eau de Magnolia
Magnolier a grandes fleurs, Pierre-Joseph Redouté:
https://digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/510d47dc-8d27-a3d9-e040-e00a18064a99
I am waiting for my neighbor’s magnolia tree to bloom so I can have a stealthy sniff.
Elisa P made my choice easy for me. I have a handful of FM samples sitting on my desk, so I pulled out the Magnolia. It is Perfume rather than the delicate lemon-cream-with-a-touch-of-green scent of the real flower. Such is the way of Art, though I do like EdM a lot.
If you have FM samples/decants marinating in your stash, do try to use them! My samples are more than a year old. They are beginning to fade. Carnal Flower smells more of honeysuckle now, and L’eau d’Hiver has mellowed considerably.
I thought it was just me!!My Monsieur sample withered, also!Perfect pairing tiffanie!I love those old botanical prints!
Redoute’s flowers always make me smile, especially the roses and magnolias. 😉
Happy to inspire ???? You smell as lovely as that botanical illustration!
We do smell nice!
I like this magnolia too:
https://www.wikiart.org/en/martin-johnson-heade/magnolia-grandiflora-1895
That one’s nice, too. My pic was :

Well, that link didn’t work ????

oh, beautiful! I heart O’Keeffe!
Oooooh, thanks for the heads-up on the FM perfumes! I’ll get on the ball and get my samples out for use.
Yes, I’d use them and enjoy them in the short term. This afternoon I remembered reading an interview with FM in which he stated his belief that perfumes have a relatively short shelf life. I guess he knows what he’s talking about!
You smell gorgeous! Was in MS for a graduation, and the magnolias were in full bloom on the campus. I picked one and have to agree with you. It started to smell a bit like the Malle scent on day 2.
thanks, Laura!
I would LOVE to be a student at that campus.
Today I’m wearing ELDO Noel au Balcon. It’s somewhat reminiscent of a holiday pomander ball made from an orange stuck with cloves (I know it has tangerine, apricot, orange, honey, and cinnamon, but I feel sure of the cloves too!). I don’t find it especially Christmas-y or sexy-naughty but simply cheerful, bright and fun. Maybe it’s like one of the rather unusual brightly coloured, vibrant Rothkos. Here’s one: http://www.markrothko.org/orange-red-yellow/
yum, Noel au Balcon sounds wonderful.
I love Rothko, the work you linked to is great. Here’s a Rothko-inspired sweater I like:
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-rothko-sweater
Cool!
My most wonderful family surprised me with two bottles of perfume for Mothers’ Day and I am in heaven. They are I Miss Violet and Unter den Linden… What am I wearing today? Why Rahele of course! I had a business meeting and I wanted to stick to something that I know exactly how it will be behave… it was perfect. To art match, I cheated and texted 57251. I think it must work all over the US? You text the message Send me…. but of course instead of ellipses you type in something. I typed Send me traveler, and the app (which I believe has been set up by SFMOMA and is made up art from SFMOMA’s collection exclusively) sent me Garry Winogrand’s photo of the TWA terminal at Kennedy from 1978. So here is my art match for Rahele : https://www.sfmoma.org/artwork/2016.225
I love that picture! And yay for your perfume presents!
Nice goodies for Mother’s Day!
Great Mother’s Day gifts!
No art to match my SOTD today. Back to trying Berdoues samples from the stash. SOTD = Vanira Moorea EdP. Very nice!
So very tired. I woke up at 3:30 this morning, had patchy sleep until 5:30, then said the heck with it (or an approximation of that) and got up. I’ve been watching a couple of guys renovating one of the tubs today, so there been some construction-y type noises. Things are looking promising.
I know what my approximation of that would be if i was up at that hour…hope you will get very good sleep tonight!
No art, I don’t have the energy to look up anything. It’s the last week of preschool and we are all running on fumes – the kids are bouncing off the walls. Seville a l’aube today, although it’s gone now so I will look for an unused sample for the evening.
Oh, stay strong then, it’s almost over!!
