More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today’s post includes special edition bottles from Givenchy, Jo Malone, Guerlain, Lancome and Clarins.
From Givenchy, Ambre Tigré, "reimagined by artist Anna Borowski in an ephemeral collaboration": "Created in a marriage of olfactory art made by the House of Givenchy and the creations of the talented designer, a collaboration rich in escapism and poetry, the warm and enchanting world of this divine scent opens with notes of sweet and sensual amber. Cistus labdanum is revealed with animalic and herbaceous notes to softly mingle with sweet, balsamic vanilla. Presented in a bottle that depicts a miniature cabinet of curiosities, gently spritz to savour in this luminous, mesmerising fragrance." £1,100 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Harrods in the UK. (Note: this has just been added to the Harrods website, but I think this edition came out in 2015 or 2016.)
From Jo Malone, Oud & Bergamot Cologne Limited Edition: "Precious oud, reframed. The mysterious, smoky character of this revered wood, central to Middle Eastern fragrance traditions, radiates with the clarity of crisp bergamot and orange. Hypnotic. Alluring." £118 for 100 ml at Jo Malone in the UK.
From Guerlain, the 2018 annual edition of Muguet: "In 2018, Guerlain celebrates Muguet's 110th anniversary, initiated by Jacques Guerlain in 1908, with an exceptional piece imagined as the quintessence of Guerlain. And which better case then than the emblematic Bee Bottle? Tenderly frosted for the occasion, the Bee Bottle contains in its heart the Muguet note, reinterpreted by Thierry Wasser, whose bergamot, jasmine and rose accents announce Spring. To magnify this exceptional piece, Guerlain has called on Maison Guillemette, one of the reference addresses in Paris for jewels and head accessories. Guillemette, founder and creator, celebrates the Muguet with a floral ethereal finery. A lucky charm of exception that celebrates with refinement Lily of the Valley and the beginning of Spring." In 125 ml.
Also from Guerlain, a Mother's Day edition of Mon Guerlain decorated by Alex & Marine. In 50 ml Eau de Parfum at Sephora in Italy.
From Lancome, La Vie Est Belle in the Avec Toi edition. In 50 ml Eau de Parfum, also at Sephora in Italy.
From Clarins, Eau Dynamisante in a limited edition for Summer 2018. In 100 ml at Sephora in France.
No offense to anyone that likes it, but the top one reminds me of the dogs in the kid’s book “Go Dogs Go” by Dr. Seuss– the scenes where the female dogs asks, “Do you like my hat?”
Oh I LOVE it! I feel like I could spend hours just staring at it from different angles. What’s going on with it?? Why are there enormous flowers around a tiger?? Is the tiger trying to outrun the stars? WHO KNOWS?!
LOL! I can totally see that. But I am with Koyel, I love it. Then again, would not pay that for it on a bet.
I love that the Guerlain bottle is ‘tenderly frosted’. You just try sandblasting your loved one tenderly and see where it gets you…

Oh my goodness, absolutely adore the Muguet bottle!
It’s nice but admit I liked it better when they did a special bottle design every year — even though I never bought one!
Would love to get that Oud & Bergamot LE bottle but it doesn’t appear to be on the US website, only UK.
Most of them seem to get here a little later…
