Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Chataignes du Bois, L’etole de Vison & Arabesque ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 5 December 2017 2 Comments

Indie perfume house Dawn Spencer Hurwitz has launched Châtaignes du Bois {A Chestnut fragrance; Holiday no.17}, L’étole de Vison {The Mink Stole} and Arabesque.

Châtaignes du Bois {A Chestnut fragrance; Holiday no.17} ~ "A rich and cozy-warm melange of woods mixed with the tempting aroma of roasted, sweetened chestnuts. It’s holiday decadence in a bottle and perfectly unisex."

L’étole de Vison {The Mink Stole} ~ "Here is another installment in “my menagerie”; this time inspired by fur as a garment, with some emphasis on the wearer… well, an imaginary wearer. Like out of a dream or a distant memory, this retro-nouveau design is the glamorous mink stole with silk also caressing the skin beneath, and the ever so faint aroma(s) of the people wearing it. It’s a study in the most glossy smooth fur and the sensation of wearing and feeling it. [...] An elegant, glossy, and luxurious vintage style animalic fragrance that continues to explore ‘the fur accord’ with notes of Bulgarian rose, sandalwood, aldehydes, (subtle) green notes, and a glorious dose of Castoreum."

Arabesque ~ "With Arabesque, a companion to Habibi, I wanted to speak to all of these aspects as well as the legendary hospitality for beloved guests, and the graciousness of the home. So, for this fragrance, there is the cross cultural mingling of bakhoor oudh incense mixed with trails of elegant French perfumery; fruits and flowers; coffee, spices and sweets. The result is a deeply sensuous, rich oriental perfume with elements that on paper might seem cacophonous, but in reality sing a harmonious symphony of delights."

Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Châtaignes du Bois {A Chestnut fragrance; Holiday no.17}, L’étole de Vison {The Mink Stole} and Arabesque are available in a variety of sizes and formats, for more information see the website.
