Happy Hump Day! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Issey Miyake a scent by issey miyake from a very old, mostly spoiled sample. I'm going to wash it off soon. Anyway, it's by Daphné Bugey, so I tried.
Reminder: on 12/1, wear something by Annie Buzantian, Honorine Blanc or Daphné Bugey.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2017, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is from the 2012 Pleats Please Happy Anniversary campaign.
In my beloved Vol de Nuit. I sprayed lavishly this morning. I never get tired of it!
house cousins 🙂
Hello cousin! We smell great! 🙂
Ahhhh, my favorite. You smell wonderful.
Thank you SheriG!. You also smell fabulous in Alahine!
I don’t know how it has come to pass that I have never smelled VdN, but I must rectify the situation soon. If only all the Guerlain counters in my town hadn’t disappeared into thin air while my back was turned.
Dear Guerlain, What is your strategy? Are you trying to force everyone to blind buy from your website or simply hop a plane to Paris whenever we get the urge for a sniffing spree? Are those of us who don’t live in major cities unworthy of your wares? What gives?
Love, Luna
The perfume is a real beauty. I have a small decant that I cherish dearly. The EdT that is the one I am wearing today is also great. I normally wear it for the office since it is lighter.
I can send you a small decant of the EdT if you would like to try it. My email: monica67@aol.com
I felt that way when I sampled their tea yesterday..my next question was..Is this for sale? And there answer was only in Paris! Rats!
Sorry you are having a tough time finding a boutique. Let me know if you would like to sample my Shalimar flanker I just got (my SOTD today), email me and I would be more than happy
I just am asking myself this question and I was standing in front of Guerlain fragrances, albeit briefly, yesterday.
I must rectify this.
I visited the Guerlain boutique in Toronto over the summer and don’t know how I missed VdN. I really need to find a sample!
Rose Ikebana today, very nice and polite enough for a large parent meeting today a lunch.
You smell great!
That image makes me want to get an ice-cream cone!
I am wearing Shalimar Soufflé Intense this morning..I decided to buy this unsniffed and cancel the regular flanker.
My time at the Guerlian spa was very very pampering.
I tried their Orchidée Impériale Tea, and it was de-lish!
After spending some time with the makeup artist before I left he presented two perfumes that he thinks would suit me, one was La Plus Jour de ma Vie, which he let me try and the other was Eau de Cashmere (which I wouldn’t of even tried if I wasn’t prompted) and I tried that one on the other wrist. He also brought out the bottle of Muget from this year and we just stood there and admired its beauty together. Perfect day!
Oh, how I love a good tea!
Glad you enjoyed your time at the spa, how decadent and luxe!
Oh, thanks for the vicarious spa time! Sounds marvelous.
Sounds very pampering! I’ve never heard of Eau de Cashmere. What’s that one like?
I thought the Eau de Cashmere was a linen spray………
????????
Me too.
Cashmere, wool & skin too
https://boisdejasmin.com/2014/03/guerlain-eau-de-cashmere-new-perfume.html
I am going to stick my neck out like a giraffe and say that I liked this more than La Plus Jour de ma Vie. It was very woody floral on me, and lasted into the evening on my skin.
Sounds lovely! Must be a Paris-only one?
Guerlain spa!
How awesome!
I never tried the Guerlain make-up by the way, any products you recommed?
Hi Jiji,
I enjoyed it! Its expensive so its good to go when there is a promotion.
A few products that I really enjoy is their Terracotta powder. I am not a sun worshiper (and have hyper pigmentation) so this gives me a sun kissed glow without the side effects. Any lipstick is worth a try, I like their Liquid Matte lippy, gives the same effect as their lipsticks but ten bucks cheaper.
The meteorites have a huge (cult) following.
Thanks! 🙂
I dont use powder, but lipsticks….oh yeah…
Shades of (dark)red and plum, I need them all! 😉
Maybe a christmas gift for myself… i can already see the look on my husbands face, the “but u already have a pouch full of red lipsticks…”-look 😀
They all have a bit of smell, like violets but no taste really.
I would try for sure as long as you don’t mind a bit of fragrance under your nose, but it fades.
Kiss Kiss and the one LIzzieB recommended are also good
I splurged a couple of years back on one of the lipsticks that comes in the gold case that has a mirror that flips up. It’s a gorgeous color. I always play with their makeup at duty free when I travel. ????
Oh those cases look pretty!
Do these lipsticks have a specific smell/taste?
Perfect! Need more of these!
It’s cold and wet today (wet snow – my least favorite kind of snow), so I keep myself warm and comfortable with SL Bois et Fruits. A true SL classic.
You smell lovely!
That is a great classic. I need to unburied my sample of it. You smell good!
You smell great! This is my favorite of the SL Bois fragrances (although I haven’t tried the musk one).
Today I am in loads of Prada Candy. I am trying to be braver and wear more than two sprays in order to actually use the perfume I have. I tend to hoard it but I truly have enough to last decades.
You smell great! 🙂
I’m an undersprayer also- less for hoarding purposes than to keep the sillage low during my work day. Even on days off I have a hard time with using more out of habit. Will join you in the bravery! And you smell great-always liked Candy.
I don’t underspray, but stuff I have 50mls or less of I sometimes avoid wearing if I love it a lot, for fear of running out. Which is ridiculous given how much I have. But it’s still hard to use up those favourites.
I am like you. I always spray carefully if I have 50ml or less of any of my favorites. No sense, since I might never finish all I have. But anyway, looks like we are so apprehensive to the ones we really love!
I did five sprays today!!!
Sticking with Roses Too Fancy for Work today in vintage Nahema. Ahhhhh.
You smell fabulous!
I think I’m going to stay in Rose 31 for the rest of the week. I’m travelling to manhattan and will likely visits the Le Labo boutique to buy a full bottle.
Have you tried the R31 oil? I have the perfume spray and oil, both are wonderful! I get a tad more green notes from the perfume spray.
Just got a sample of this from a generous NST’er last week. It’s great! Planning to wear it Friday for the community project.
I’m making Thanksgiving dinner today – late due to my husban’d work schedule. I’m cooking in SL Chene. Very nice!
Better late than never
Enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner!
Never too late for the food or the giving thanks!
Chêne is wonderful, need to find my bottle.
Today’s SOTD is L’Eau Trois by Diptyque – with all the mention of incense and given the season, I thought this would be perfect. I added a small spritz of L’ Artisan’s Patchouli Patch for good measure.
An oldie but goodie!
Reading your gift guide yesterday Robin, I decided to wear La Panthére EdP with the shimmering Étincelante.
Now I just need the powder to complete the “ritual” and Neiman Marcus just sent me an email saying the $50 off $200 offer is still on. Uh oh….
If I were you….. 😉
Oh dear, that’s hard to resist!
Montale Patchouli Leaves today. We are having the last sunny day for a while, according to the weather guy, and PL has such a late autumn feel….probably because of the “leaves” in the name.
I adore Patchouli Leaves, one of my favorites from Montale! You smell wonderful!
SOTD is Alahiiiiiine. It’s a little bit different each time I wear it, and today it is very floral, the amber taking a decided back seat. Nice!
🙂
Alahiiiine ❤️????
I’m wearing Bee’s Bliss from my new travel spray- such a pretty honeyed floral. I think it’ll be even nicer in the summer.
This is one high on my to-try list. 🙂 Does it have the warm animal-ish facet of honey or is it more sweet nectar?
For me it is a sweet beeswax floral, not animalic.
Thanks! 🙂
Yes, I agree, not particularly animalic. Definitely not as animalic as her other floral JE, which is wonderfully skanky on me. But warm, soft and lush nonetheless.
Looking forward to trying it, and maybe the skanky JE too!
JE is great!
I got more sweet, too. Ordered a small bottle!
Spent too much money over the weekend and sitting in Tonka Imperiale right now. I had forgotten that I really liked this one. After my shower, I haven’t figured out what I am going to wear perfume wise. I’m thinking Theorema, though.
Love Theorema – always a great choice!
Oh I like a scent! I’m sad to hear it spoils!
Armed for the day in vintage Coco EdT again. This stuff is glorious
You smell wonderful!
Cold & snowing here today (Aberdeen, Scotland). Hoping flight to London at stupid o’clock tomorrow morning is on time! Thinking I’ll take my Perfumer H (generous size) sample of Rose Green with me, which will probably finish it – carry-on luggage only, so no chance of purchasing anything significant, though I am hoping to acquire a few samples. Still not quite finished my Bluebell, though I’ll be back in time for my local charity shop stint next Thursday, which should see the end of that. Then I’m down to Margiela’s Promenade in the Gardens & Hampton Sun’s Privet Bloom, both of which have 10 days’ holiday use earlier in the year, so plenty left! Looking forward to visiting my brother near Tampa in March, & popping into Uncommon Finds, where I will definitely be purchasing…they were moving premises when I was there in February, so were closed for the few days I was there. Not sure which perfume destinations my friend & I will hot over the long weekend in London, but Atkinsons in Burlington Arcade is calling, as are Shay & Blue & Perfumer H, both close to our hotel.
Sounds like a lovely weekend, enjoy and be safe.
Thank you.
Best of luck with your travel plans!
Thank you. Touch more snow overnight but, touch wood, airport seems to be as per normal.
What a foggy pea soup to drive in this morning in the ATL! UGH!
Wearing Nirvana French Grey this morning…it matches the grey in the area at the moment! 🙂
I still need to go try those new Nirvanas! I have been very succesful in avoiding the mall this year.
I really liked the French Grey. Soft – easy for work, right? I bought a rollerball but I expect it lasts longer sprayed.
Very soft and office friendly! And I can still smell it almost 8 hours in….
Triple strength coffee
Extra long workout
Bois d’Armenie Guerlain ‘vintage’ purchased in 2007
Trying to decide between this and Sycomore EDT for quiet aloofness (ME ! QUIET! ALOOF ! LOLOLOL ????????????????????????????????????) for potential jury duty on Friday
What sayeth the NST community?
????????????????????????
Must buy some chocolate covered espresso beans to keep the caffeine levels high, but the men’s room trips low.
LOLOLOL ????????
Carpe Diem
Peace ✌
????????????????????❤????
☕☕☕☕☕????☕☕
I’d say Sycamore fits the aloofness bill well. And what an excellent idea with those coffee beans! Practical and tasty- when do those 2 qualities ever coincide? I haven’t been called for jury duty in like 10 years and my husband is being hounded by them. It’s his second deferment (he also got called for this Friday but we’re out of town then).
I was summoned for jury duty for the first time over the summer, but was released after 3 days. I actually didn’t mind it for the change in routine. Got lots of reading done while I waited to be called and enjoyed an extra-long (hour and a half) lunch break each day.
May your jury duty be short and sweet – or may you at least get an interesting trial to serve on 🙂
Bois d’Armenie sounds perfect.
I feel the same way. Big chunks of time for reading plus, great lunch options in Chinatown for us NYC residents.
Jury duty, that sounds so exotic to me, we dont have that here!
I only know it from movies, like 12 Angry Men.
I am unfortunately not familiar with Bois d’Armenie,
but I love Sycomore. I dont consider it aloof though, okay, maybe a lil bit.
Casting my vote for Sycomore. Hope your jury duty is short and sweet!
It depends on if you want to be selected as a juror. I know I’d select someone wearing Sycomore!
Wearing Cire Trudon Olim today. I thought it reminded me more of Shalimar but I’m noticing the lavender today and so am also getting the Jicky connection Kevin mentioned in his review. It’s sort of a combination of both to me. Lovely in its own right and I think this may be my favorite of the set! The downside of these scents is the longevity is pretty poor on me with some of them (Revolution and Bruma are the most fleeting). Olim lasts about 6-7 hours which is fine and let’s me change it up in the evening if I want to.
What do you think of the Mortel? I was quite interested in that one, and in buying the coffret (which I tried to do, but their website was experiencing a glitch on the day that I pulled the trigger, and so my credit card was saved unexpectedly).
I like it less than when I first tried it-still like it but it’ll probably be the one I use the least-or maybe save it for summer since that’s when I initially tried it and loved it so maybe heat makes it bloom. It’s a dry, woody frankincense to me. Very smooth and understated, not iverly churchy. More cool with only a hint of sweetness. Smells a little like Spiritus Sancti candle but woodier-I guess the best I can compare it to is Tauer Incense Flash, but I like Mortel more.
Don’t you love-hate it when the universe interferes with your plans?
I’m wearing Philosykos from a sample, for perhaps the second or third time. So far, Philosykos and Un Jardin En Mediterranee are the only figs that I like. Decant worthy.
Both are great fig perfumes. L’Artisan Premier Figuier is also a good one.
PF is the only fig scent I can tolerate – and I quite like it.
My favorite is Philosykos and PF. I wear them heavily in summer time. They are great!
Premier Figuier does not work on my skin. So far, the majority of the limited number of fig scents that I have tried have turned musty smelling on my skin.
Have you tried Terry De Gunzburg’s Flagrant Delice? It’s also a fig that is not heavy or complex.
I like the fig note in Bvlgari au The Rouge
Wednesday is usually my day off (yeah, we Dutchies are the Champions of Part Time Work…and on top of it, at my work place 36 hours a week is considered fulltime/1.0 fte, ha!),
but I had a tons of small tasks and stuff to finish, so I decided to work from home. Woa, I forgot how much you can get done when you are not distracted by co workers. 😉
SotD is superduper fabulous Nankun Kodo!
I love to wear it year round, but cold weather brings out the best.
Wow. I need to start learning Dutch, STAT! Was just thinking about this yesterday- where else could I work if I need to flee the US?
Goedenavond! 😉
Hmm if you have IT related skills, most of the time you dont even need to learn Dutch. In some IT teams/companies English is the main language (or people dont mind switching to English when they work with a non-Dutchie). The tech sector attracts a lot of people from abroad!
We Dutchies all learn English by the way. And some of us learn a bit of French and German as well.
I guess that is the upside of living in a very very small country (focus on trade/export), surrounded by bigger and more powerful players like UK, Germany and France.
Unfortunately, I don’t own any IT skills. I’m in healthcare and have to talk to people whether I want to or not ???? Learning a second language here isn’t emphasized as a necessity, unfortunately. I took Spanish, but proficiency wasn’t really the standard goal in my high school. I probably didn’t care then, but it would have really helped me in my work now (as would have Cantonese).
But in healthcare, lots of words are almost the same!
Vaccinations = vaccinaties
Heart = hart
Broken = gebroken
See, no biggie…;)
(yeah I get that, for instance, explaining difficult treatments and procedures in another language to people, is quite the challenge. Even in your native language that is not an easy feat, I value people who work in healthcare very highly)
Yeah, a lot of medical terminology comes from Latin which helps me when I’m winging it with Spanish. Thanks for your appteciation ????
Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber today. I did some Christmas shopping yesterday, both online and in the mall. I am not finished by any means, but at least I got some of it done 🙂
Love this one. You smell niiiice.
Thank you! It is very pleasant.
31 Rue Cambon. <>
I have never tried this one. Next time I am in Saks, I will. I know it gets a lot of love here.
This one more and more reminds me of my beloved grandmother and being at her home with the cool Spring air filtering into her Florida room and the sun streaming through the windows onto her lemon yellow covered bamboo couches. I love it so much.
What a lovely image.
Coromandel EDP because the sample was handy. It is enjoyable though different than the EDT.
Had a phone screening yesterday for a position I applied for at a company a friend works for. I think it went well. Not sure I am entirely qualified but I will let them determine that. Would be more dinero…this perfume predilection is not going to pay for itself! ????
LOL! It is an expensive hobby for sure. More $$ is always welcome, as long as it’s a job you would be happy in.
I think I know what I’m wearing tomorrow. 😉
Joining the Guérlainites today in Mon Précieux Nectar. Looked at the list of possibilities for Friday’s project and pickings are slim. I can wear MJ Dot or Kenzo Amour.
Hey house cousin..we smell good, don’t we
SOTD is Worth Courtesan. This was not expensive and is really one of my favourites. I smell really lovely.
That one is really nice and kind of different. You smell great!
If I close my eyes and crank up the radio with the sun beating down on my face, I can pretend it’s spring! Thanks to a generous Nster, I’m sampling Black Jade. I’m a little smitten:).
You smell lovely today!
SOTD: Lutens A La Nuit, or as my husband would say, “you’re wearing my jasmine tea!”
Been listening to Handel’s Messiah all week.. what gorgeous music from beginning to end. Easing more into Christmas and hope to get our tree this weekend. My year for choosing what lights to use and of course I’ll be choosing the little while lights.
Messiah!!!
It is never quite Christmas for me until I hear (or sing!) “For Unto Us a Child Is Born.”
I am Jewish, albeit of ambivalent religious persuasion, and I always look forward to queuing up Messiah on the CD player at this time of year!
Yes!
You smell great
Good morning , all. I’m dancing and prancing around feeling wonderful, for no very good reason, except maybe, that overnight I seem to have decided which side of a quandary I want to be on. I’m not entirely sure that this a good trick, making up my mind about an issue in my sleep, but that’s what I seem to have done. Fancy that: decisions without cerebration—is that even a word? Is now.
I’m wearing the sparkling gorgeousness of Vanille Galante. I love this perfume, how it is fruity, but not foody, and sweet without being syrupy. It suits the day, a cool morning followed by a warm afternoon. It suits my activity: a day writing. I’m all over happy, in other words. The only thing that might make this better would be a scented body lotion to fix the scent a little longer, but actually, I don’t mind re-applying.
There is a Force Nine Kitten Riot roaring through the sitting room. I should go and see who has taken whose toy and which party the third kitten has sided with. It’s usually that Eric has taken Peggy Sue and won’t give her back, or that Titus has sat in the middle of a blankie that Alexander is towing around and won’t get off. The riots start with a spat and escalate rapidly. I’d better go and adjudicate. Be well, all.
I love the description of the kitten riot!
Showered in Le Labo Hinoki shower gel. I’m enjoying it. It lingers nicely. Debating scents but am thinking Kelly Caleche, since it’s a bit warmer out and sunny.
Decided the kitties needed treats after the loss of their buddy, so I’ve ordered some big catnip toys in the shape of fish. Can’t wait to have them arrive.
Poor lil guys ???? I hope they enjoy their treats! My kitties enjoy those too much-causes fights even when there’s one for each of them!
I was up late last night reading Udina’s mimosa blogs and almost swooned ( literally) when i got to Opus III and saw that it broom as a note. I am in love with broom at the moment. It is creamy, and green , and mimosa-like, and a touch minty. There is broom all over the hill and in full bloom…..Opus III . But some say this perfume smells of violets and I’m not so keen on violets…but broom! Yes…no…yes…no….i have three Amouages on my wish list: Bracken ( i have smelled this one ) , and two unsniffed: Dia and now Opus….Oh well. Beaut day here and I submitted the Mountain anthology to the publisher yesterday so I’m wearing Glamour Yeti . I miss the ritual of physically posting things…it was always something special to post a manuscript, place my hand on the fat envelope and wish it luck and then imagine the package travelling through the night…etc. that was a kind of Vol de Nuit thing. Now it’s more press send ….perfume equivalent? Love Chloe.
You’re not in the U.S., are you? If you have a U.S. mailing address, or somebody is going to visit on a business trip, I’d send you Opus III and Dia samples.
Cheaper fix: Nesti Dante broom soap 🙂
Just for fun I’m wearing Tocca Stella. It’s a cheerful perfume and one of the first non-mainstream designer bottles I purchased while starting to get into niche about 9 or 10 years ago.
And after all these years I think it’s still Tocca’s best!
Its a beautiful day. I woke up with a craving for DeProfundis so that is my SOTD.
It felt like a Spring day today! De Profundis is a perfect choice. Hope you had a good holiday ????
I did. Thanks E! ????
Garrison Keillor? Gosh. ????????????
I’m in Memo’s Irish Leather (from a sample!). Really like it, but think Heeley’s Cuir Pleine Fleur is very similar (leather is a little lighter).
When I read this earlier, I had not seen the news item and had no idea what you were talking about.
Now I do.
And I am sorry to say that I was not surprised. I wasn’t surprised by the allegations of misconduct from Matt Lauer, either, or from Charlie Rose, or Bill O’Reilly, or any of the other men in the entertainment/media/political arenas who have been accused of such shenanigans. I haven’t been surprised by a one of them, not since Bill Cosby (that one hit me hard).
THis is not me being political, either, this is me being sad that so often women are subjected to this kind of treatment as a sort of “you wanna work here, you gotta play the game” dues. I hope 2017 is a watershed year for the ending of workplace sexual harassment — for everybody, and for real instead of for lip service.
Very well said.
#MeToo
I am still surprised by all of it!
And did not know until today that they’ve named this wave:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weinstein_effect
Weinstein is memorable, but somehow I wish the cultural touchstone was the Gretchen Carlson effect instead.
I am equally surprised and not surprised, at the same time. But I am also saddened. Lake Wobegone indeed. 🙁
Opened that brand new bottle of Eau Lente this morning. It is delightful, just enough warmth and spice without overpowering.
It’s a lovely warm scent to make one feel good on a cold day.
In classic-chypre Pierre de Velay Extrait No. 11 today. Put two new tires on the vehicle we have set aside for Bookworm’s use; now that she is gainfully employed, she’s going to pay us back for them.
Bacon-apple-sharp cheddar grilled cheese for lunch. Yum.
Yum, I want your sandwich.
Seconding this. It sounds delish!
Gosh, me three. Now I’m hungry.
I chose Jul et Mad Mon Seul Desir for today.
I’ve mentioned before what a wonderful experiences I’ve had courtesy of Chanel representative Akil at the Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase, Maryland (a few blocks north of the Friendship Heights Metro Station). The Chanel Espace Parfums is an elegant and efficient way to explore the full range. In addition, the Olfactorium showcases the 40 individual notes that make up the perfumes, a valuable introduction to the art of perfumery.
Yesterday, Wendysue and I visited Akil with one of the guys whom I’ve been introducing to fragrance, and we tried an experiment. The guy especially liked Cuir de Russie, so we sniffed each of its four main essences: birch, jasmine, ylang ylang, and cistus labdanum. Then we held the four strips together (much as perfumers do) — et voilà! Cuir de Russie appeared as if by magic.
What alchemy turns the smells of barbecue smoke, floral candy, and animalic amber into pure leather?
I believe this was my fourth visit, and yet I still learned something new. Highly recommend!
PS: I bought Sycomore in the new EdP formulation, which I prefer to the original. I also like the EdP versions of Bois des Îles and Cuir de Russie very much.
Sounds like a fantastic time!
Sounds pretty cool! I also like the EDP version of CdR (couldn’t do the edt).
wow ! Sounds like fun!
SOTD is Amun Re: The Tears of Ra. Was sampling stuff earlier and now post shower I wanted something that I know smells great on me and that I don’t have to think about
a scent by Issey Miyake! Never head that one mentioned, except by myself. 🙂 Love it. Too bad your sample went off. If you ever need another one, just let me know.
It did not develop a cult following here, that is for sure! Thanks for the kind offer, and I will.
Random.org chose Dune for me today. Had to spray very lightly for work but happy to get a favorite. I looked at the Friday project lists and only have samples of some of the perfumes, and not ones that I’m particularly looking forward to trying (Marc Jacobs, Loverdose, Lady Gaga). Will probably stick with my random project!
Posting to celebrate the installation of a new water heater today. The old one broke yesterday, and that meant turning off all the water to the house. 🙁 I’m looking forward to a shower once the new water heater has done its thing.
Back to the sample stash for today’s SOTD, Boucheron Jaipur. I think I need to try this again, just to see if what I smelled was really what was going on.
Congrats on the new water heater! Our previous one literally blew out a whole on the side – it was a very dramatic gusher. Not the kind of shower I want from my water heater. 😉
Thankfully, our old water heater did NOT blow up like yours did. Mr. Jalapeno said that it was leaking out of the top, and water was flowing down the side. Enough water that our sump pump came on a few times yesterday afternoon. Some of the stuff in the basement that was near the water heater got wet. VERY thankful that our basement is unfinished!
That Jaipur experience sounds mysterious, lol! Enjoy your hot shower!
Oh, I will! Thanks!
let us know what you think! did Jaipur work out?
It smelled like a pretty floral with some fruit when I first tried it, then made a sharp turn to floral soap. I’m thinking it may have been applied over the drydown of something else that WAS soapy. So I will need to re-try when my nose is behaving itself.
SOTD is the very spicy Pacifica Tibetan Mountain Temple, perfect at this time of year.
Ooh, a good reminder for me to get my bottle out.
I am wearing Youth Dew vintage pure perfume , smells absolutely beautiful.
I received this as a gift from a very kind and generous person, I don’t know her that well but we talked once about my love of vintage perfumes , she remembered and send me her vintage minis, they are mostly Estee Lauder and pure perfumes. I am so touched.
I am so excited that my Neimans will get the Les Exclusifs next week! My Neimans doesn’t carry them year round, they come only a few times a year. I’ve reserved a spot with the Chanel rep!
For this Friday Community Project I have a lot of options. My SOTD is Marchesa de Extase. I love the bottle, it’s inexpensive, and it reminds me a lot of YSL Paris EdP.
SOTD = Chanel No. 19 EDP
I will finish my bottle this year – woo hoo!
Started the day inauspiciously – I left my train pass at home! Thank God the conductor was nice and let it go. I did have to buy one for the ride home before boarding as I did not want to pay the ridiculous penalty for buying a ticket on board.
Yous all (was it Sistine who asked us not to use it?) should go on to Lucas’ Chemist in the Bottle blog and leave a comment to get a chance to win a 25 sample box. I doubled the fun and offered a second 25 sample box for someone in the continental U.S. What are you waiting for? 😉
I wore it yesterday: it is lovely but I still prefer the EdT… though, I have to admit that I can wear EdP now (or in winter – our winter, I mean) but EdT is more of a spring scent for me.
