Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating today!
Whether you’re celebrating or not, feel free to talk about anything you like: what fragrance you’re wearing today, what perfume you're especially thankful for, what you’re going to cook or eat today...whatever you like, so long as it doesn’t conflict with our comment policy.

Happy Sansgeeving!
In Sova by Slumberhouse – fast becoming a Thanksgiving Day tradition
Happy Sansgeeving to you! I think my traditional fragrance is Theorema, but so far, not wearing any fragrance. House smells like turkey broth.
Scent twins. I am grateful for this blog for introducing me to Theorema.
Not celebrating, just a regular Thursday. Wearing Iris Poudre.
Iris Poudre can make any old Thursday special. Enjoy!
Smelling lovely today!
Wearing Tauer LADDM from the lovely mini. It has been on my fb buy list for a while and it will stay there for who knows how long.
Our Thanksgiving will be quiet at home today. Family gathering was not our desire this year. My father’s passing is still so recent and painful for us and this was his favorite holiday.
We will spend Christmas and New Year together instead.
I would like to wish a peaceful and happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. I am very grateful to be part of the NST community. You are all great. Hugs! ????????
Happy Thanksgiving and Hugs right back to you!
Thank you!
Hugs to you. I hope the memories are sweet today and give you comfort.
Hugs for you.
Thanks Barqs!
Sending hugs, sympathy and understanding to you — holidays are forever changed now, and choosing to stay home this Thanksgiving will be, I hope, both an acknowledgment of the difference your father’s passing has made, and your steps toward coming to terms with that. May your heart be soothed today.
Thank you FearsMice. A quiet day is very soothing and comforting in a day like today. Hugs!
I completely understand. Holidays have never been the same since my Mom passed away. My father passed away more recently but he was never into the holidays.
Hugs and peace to you Filomena.
Hugs to you and wishing you much comfort today. Joining you in the gratitude of this special community.
sending big hugs:)
You smell great, scent twin!
It is now on my fb list too 🙂
Have a wonderful holiday CM8! We smell great!. Enjoy your mini of LADDM. It was a beautiful present.
Happy Thanksgiving to you! I’ve lost both my parents, and know how it changes your holidays forever. I hope that with time, your memories will be able to make Thanksgiving joyful again.
Thank you jirish.
You smell beautiful in Chergui today! Enjoy the day!
Happy thanksgiving, may the wonderful memories of holidays past with your dad warm your heart and comfort you.
Thank you Cazaubon. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hugs, and a peaceful Thanksgiving to you, Perfumelover67! Taking time for yourself is even more important now that the frenzy of the holiday season is here.
Thanks Jalapeno. It has been a relaxing and peaceful day so far.
You smell great in Shaal Nur. It is a credit card danger for sure. 🙂 Enjoy the gathering with your friends!
The first birthday/holiday/family gathering after the loss of a loved one is especially difficult.
It is! We are finding comfort in the memories of all times shared together.
Enjoy the day!
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
The same to.you KelliC. Hoping you have good news about Lucy today. Hugs.
Have a good, quiet Thanksgiving <3 my thoughts are with you.
The same to.you Koyel. Hope you had a nice time.
Hugs to you, I share your same sentiments as I just lost my mother 2 months ago. It is her birthday in a few days which sometimes falls on Thanksgiving.
Wishing you peace and gratitude and grace.
Very tough! Sending you hugs and wishing you peace.
Scent of my 50th birthday ( gulp) is Uncle Serge’s La Myrrhe.
I indulged in the bell jar, and opened it this morning.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my US friends. You all smell amazing !
I don’t know what that smells like, but I know you have excellent taste! Congratulations on your new bottle, enjoy!
Ooh, a bell jar of La Myrrhe! You smell fabulous. No gulping – notwithstanding the wear and tear, the 50s are even better than the 30s and 40s, and are an order of magnitude (in perception, if not numerically) better than the 20s.
Thanks for this. I am 49, and no amount of money could persuade me to relive my twenties. Thirties and forties have been great, so am glad to hear that the next decade will be even better! And to hannahmom, what a great choice for your birthday splurge! Auguri!
Happy 5️⃣0️⃣ Birthday!!
Happy Birthday! Very important number I imagine but its all about not looking back and being happy with your choices.
Wearing Jo Malone Oud&Bergamot, easy scent.
And you too take it easy and enjoy your beautiful day with loved ones.
Happy birthday. You smell fantastic.
Oh, happy birthday. Great milestone— the fifties were watershed years for me, in the best possible way, and I hope they are for you too. La Myrrh is a fabulous celebration of a fabulous day. Enjouy yourself now, unwisely, too well, in good company and have heaps of fun.
Happy birthday 🙂
Happy Birthday and excellent gift to self for your milestone. Wishing you an excellent year!
Echoing the happy birthday wishes — you smell maahvelous!
Happy birthday!
happy bday!
Happy birthday! Welcome to the 50s – I happy to find them terrific, and, as I always remind myself, aging is a privilege.
‘happen’ not ‘happy’ – tho I’m always happy to still be happening!
Happy 50th! Just passed you at 51 this year, so far the 50’s are great. Enjoy!
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!!!:)
Happy Scented Birthday! You are celebrating in style with a bell jar!
Happy Birthday to u! I haven’t smelt la myrrh, but it sounds incredible, and a perfect present for you’re 50th!
Happy Birthday! I want to try La Myrrhe someday though Im
very much afraid Ill love it!
Happy birthday, hannahmom! You are an awesome person!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday! Sounds wonderful 🙂
Happy Birthday Hannahmom and enjoy your present.
You smell marvelous!! Happy Birthday too.
Hello everyone! Happy Thanksgiving, if you are celebrating.
I am having a small lunch with family, then hopefully a friendsgiving later in the evening.
I’m wearing some vintage Coco EdT, which I found in Austin last weekend. Smells like heaven.
Sounds like a perfect day — enjoy both segments!
Enjoy the day. You smell great!
Happy Thanksgiving, Coumarin!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We will be heading to friends’ apartment later, and I will wear Twilly. Will work nicely in an overheated NYC apartment and not overwhelm.
Happy Thanksgiving LizzieB. Enjoy!
You smell great, love Twilly!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all perfumed folks across the Ocean!
I think it’s a beautiful holiday to express gratitude towards people around us.
Here in Poland we don’t have Thanksgiving (rumour has it there were attempts but turkeys didn’t fit in Polish ovens)
I’m wearing Huitieme Art Shermine today. I would’ve bought it (hiding wallet) if it wasn’t for the ugly bottle. So… maybe a large decant someday
LOL at turkeys not fitting in the oven.
Shermine is such a cozy scent. I should take it out to wear this winter!
It’s a funny tidbit 🙂
I enjoy my Shermine decant I got from you, it’s nearly empty
and mine is gone 🙂
you smell great!
Haha LOL about that turkey fact.
My family has developed a tradition of eating turkey at Christmas (though we also had venison and boar on the menu a few times).
I looked up the shermine bottle, wow thats ugly indeed.
In Poland we traditially eat karp on Christmas eve.
I know, right? People call it a cyclops bottle for a reason!
I had a Ukrainian Christmas meal last year and one of the dishes was a whitefish of sorts. And I kind of like the cyclops bottle ????
Ha, good one, Lucas! Wonder if I’d get away with that excuse at Christmas ???? I’m not the world’s greatest turkey lover.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Unitedstatesians on NST. Thanksgiving is not A Thing over here, although in the last few years Black Friday has become one. Go figure.
I’m retrying Amouage “Bracken Man” and enjoying it more than the first time.
Top: bergamot, lemon, cypress, lavender, nutmeg and clove;
Mid: geranium, sandalwood, cedar and cinnamon;
Base: patchouli and musk.
Another crazy day. Now I’m sitting in DUS airport trying to decompress.
We have Black Friday here as well. Some stores even overdo it making it Black Week or Black Weekend.
But sales are not as good as in the US. 30% off on average, sometimes 50% and that’s max.
So funny that sometimes we export our bad traditions as opposed to the good ones. Thanksgiving is such a lovely concept. Far better to export that instead of frenzied shopping…. ????
I agree whole heartedly, I love the idea of Thanksgiving, such a wonderful celebration, but I boycott Black Friday, as it stands for everything I hate about American capitalism..
I agree. I celebrate Thanksgiving but I have never in my entire life shopped on Black Friday. Some stores open at 5:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving and thousands of people get up at 4:00 A.M. on Black Friday to stand in line and get deals. It’s insane and I would never do it.
Here here!! Well said LizzieB!
Happy Thanksgiving! I will be joining the rest of the family a little later on today. We all go to my sister’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving. I was assigned to bring mashed potatoes and green peas. Very easy!
I’m wearing Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir today.
I love that Jo Malone
Happy Thanksgiving, Barqs!
You smell great! Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all for whom this is an important day. Good food, good company, fun to you all.
It’s an ordinary Friday here, not exciting at all, but for some reason, I thought that it would be fine to enliven it with some vintage-ish Femme. Mistake. The perfume is as grown-up and gorgeous as ever, but I, it turns out, am not. Now it’s on, and boy, is it ON,I want fresh, crisp, citrus or green. I want Cristalle. I want Ninfeo Mio. I want L’ombre dans L’Eau. Silences. Safari. 4711. Chanel Le Cologne (Ibdon’t have any of that, so you can see how contrary I’m being). Damn! I think I have to shower again. I can’t cope with a Femme today. So, ‘bye all. Enjoy your days, and be safe and well.
Hope you have replaced it by now and are feeling more comfortable!
My assignment for dinner at a friend’s home today is spoonbread, which is safely within my skill range (whew!). Think I’ll wear Anima Dulcis post-shower. Peace to you all, and happy Thanksgiving (no matter what day it is, wherever you are).
Happy Thanksgiving to you too FearsMice. Enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving!
We’re having a quiet TG today. We attempted to round up a crew for a potluck and pretty much everyone we know left town so we’re cooking for 2- the hubs is going to BBQ turkey legs using cedar planks which gives meats a nice smoky flavor. And then some mashed potatoes and stuffing followed by a creme brûlée pumpkin pie (that’s the vegetable lol). It’s so beautiful and sunny out that it almost seems a shame to waste it all indoors.
Earlier this am I was going through my minis and testing them so I have several different scents on my hands and arms:
Badgley Mischka- I like it more than I remember, fruity Chypre.
Boucheron Jaipur- fruity chypre but less sweet, more aldehydes-reminds me of YSL Champagne.
Chopard Cashmir-top notes are off, but nice once it settles down. It’s one vanilla I like for some reason.
Aimez Moi- smelling much more like Lolita Lempicka than I remember.
Have a great day whatever you might be doing today!
You smell good in all those perfumes and your cooking sounds delicious.
I just came back from a long walk with my dog in the park and as you say it is beautiful outside.
Enjoy the day Elisa P.
Thanks pl67! I’ve since washed them off, I was a little overwhelmed by all the competing smells.
It’s cold out but so bright. Almost a perfect fall day. A walk in the park sounds great!
That sounds like a nice day. We have a turkey and other items ready for me to cook on Saturday for the two of us,
We actually were invited to a pre-Thanksgiving dinner a couple of weeks ago at a friend who was leaving for the Czech Republic for a month and didn’t want to miss out on the feasting. I think this meal should be eaten often except it’s a lot of work ????
Ooh, sounds like I should get on the stick and try the Boucheron Jaipur sample I ordered a while back. Enjoy your T-day!
If you like a Champagne, you’ll probably like it. Not quite my thing. And I hope you enjoy yours!
Your dinner sounds amazing!
It was very tasty! Hope yours was fun????
Crème brûlée pumpkin pie?!?!!! I need to try that! Mmmmmm.
It was really good and pretty easy (I used a pre-made pie crust):
https://thefoodcharlatan.com/creme-brulee-pumpkin-pie-recipe/
Thanks, Elisa P! That definitely looks like something I should try 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving!
My daughter is hale and hearty today…thanks for all the well wishes.
A burning question keeping me up at night, what is the status of the Guerlain Matiere bottles please? I believe they have moved to crimped atomizers for scents in this line recently but retailers probably are still trying to rid themselves of the dreaded bulbs. Can anyone confirm or deny this please?
I got my FB of Neroli Outrenoir without the bulb atomizer. They ARE switching them out. When you order, you should specify that you don’t want the bulb atomizer version.
We have spent our day enjoying the autumn sunshine here in Rome, and seeing some spectacular woodblock prints and paintings at Museo dell’Ara Pacis — mainly by Hokusai, creator of the Great Wave, which is part of the show and is much smaller than I knew, about 8” x 14”. We have had a difficult year, and spending this holiday, and Christmas, on our own and away from home is a good choice for my husband and me. Will be heading out to dinner in a couple of hours at a lovely Middle Eastern restaurant — almost certainly not to eat turkey, but to have a lovely dinner. To everyone who is having a tough time today, hang in there, and know that you are not alone in meeting this day through a veil of sorrow.
Enjoy a peaceful day today. Hugs to you skalolazka!
Wishing you peace and comfort and hope next year will be a better one. Your day sounds fabulous, actually. I’d take that right now.
May 2018 be an excellent one for you and yours!
Hugs and peace to you for this day.
Thank you all — in this thread and on the post un general — for your comments and warm thoughts.
I ended up choosing French Lover as my SOTE(vening). It wears very close to the skin on me now; I recall it having more pow! (um, *sillage*) when I first sampled it. Am I misremembering? Have others sensed a change? Or has my nose, or body chemistry, changed? The last two are real possibilities, given that I am also securely in the realm of perimenopause.
It could be reformulated, or it could be your hormonal nose. I had changes to my perceptions of perfume during that time and couldn’t wear certain things.
I’m sorry this has been a tough year <3 here's to a better 2018!
Happy thanksgiving to those who are celebrating!
Enjoy the company and food, oh and be nice to each other 🙂
(I know someone who works as an emergency operator/dispatcher(?) here in Netherlands and christmas time, when family gets together, is the busiest time of year for her. Lots of family drama and drunken fights…i wonder if the same holds true for Thanksgiving…?)
My sotd is Dark Horse, by Dame
This is a scent that made me pull out my credit card. After I drained my sample I ordered the rollerball (the variant they ship overseas).
My family generally had a good time together, but there was one infamous year of a massive blow up between my sister and my mom that reverberated for some time. I do think the wine had something to do with it….
smelling good!
You smell good in all those perfumes and your cooking sounds delicious.
I just came back from a long walk with my dog in the park and as you say it is beautiful outside.
Enjoy the day Elisa P. 🙂
SOTD- a surprise gift from my “not secret” Santa…..my mini of LDDM…..I am so excited and grateful to have this and every so thankful to the person who gifted it to me 🙂
that would be “ever so thankful”….too distracted right now by too many conversations in one tiny house 🙂
That mini is such a cute thing. I also got one as a gift from Andy
Lucky you! I got mine from one of my fragrant fairy Godmothers!
It’s awesome to have them
Agree!!!
(and I just realized that I am actually participating in the community project as I would not mind a full bottle of this one 🙂 )
As much as I have criticized the TF F-cking Fabulous hype, I caved in – don’t judge.
With the $50 off $200 purchase at Neiman Marcus, I ordered something F-cking Fabulous. While it is not 25% off (and of course, you only get that if you spend exactly $200 in a no-tax state), it is still $50 off. I am waiting to see if the 14% Ebates reward got recorded and if it did, that is another $36 and change back.
Anyway, I will split off 30mL in 5, 10 or 15 mL increments. If you are interested, please send me an email but ah…don’t spell out the name of the fragrance because I do not want my account to be tagged as x-rated. (By the way, from the last SplitMeet, I sent out ALL the packages save for one by arrangement – 24 different peeps from 16 different states, with the most popular being California.)
For Thanksgiving, I am going to a friend’s house and we will have ~ 30 people (maybe more…my friend does shifts). I am bringing madeleines, a pumpkin pie and a bottle of wine. I don’t have a SOTD yet because I’ll be cooped up in a car for ~ 1 hour and don’t want to antagonize the perfume intolerant. I am thinking Cuir Beluga lightly applied…or maybe Single Malt.
No one here judges 🙂 Wear it in great health!!!!
Enjoy your thanksgiving festivities!
I always forget to do the ebates thing, I need to tape a reminder to my ipad. Argh.
Cuir Beluga sounds perfect, enjoy your outing!
Good luck with your Friendsgiving festivities!
Always happy for a new bottle of a fellow perfumista.
And you’ll probably soon get your LS discounts which means more bottles 😉
I have to admit, I’ve been wanting that TF for the vulgar name alone haha!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I am thankful I’m not at work today, and for the memories my SOTD, Chergui, bring. I bought it in Paris, on vacation with my sisters and my mother, who was celebrating her cancer remission by treating us all to a vacation in London and Paris for the holidays.
That’s a lovely perfume backstory. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all those folks in the US. I hope all of those celebrating have a wonderful day. It’s just an ordinary Friday here, so I’m off to work shortly. I’ve seen a lot of mention of 31 Rue Cambon of late, so that’s my scent for today.
You smell great — have a nice ordinary Friday!
Our family doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving much anymore. Both parents died on or just before Thanksgiving, and my sister’s MIL died just two yeats ago on Thanksgiving. So I’m home with my cats, enjoying the beginning of a four day weekend. SOTD is Cuir Ottoman for the first time, from a sample. Definitely decant worthy.
Wow. Sounds like TG is a loaded time of year. Wishing you a peaceful day and joining you in communing with kitties. And you smell fab. I also found it 10ml decant worthy, and maybe bottle worthy if I still love it when that’s gone.
Have a peaceful and quiet holiday with your cats! Sending hugs!
You smell wonderful, and time spent with cats is always worthy of thanksgiving, at least in my books.
You smell awesome. I love Cuir Ottoman.
It’s quite hot here in San Diego. Was planning to wear L’Air de Rien but I am beginning to feel I need something more cooling. And odd. I want something offbeat. Perhaps Byredo M/M Ink.
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. I’m going to be at the animal shelter all day since a lot of the volunteers who usually work Thursdays are otherwise occupied. I’m wearing Organza Indecence, and noticing that it smells a great deal like Roberto Cavalli Oro. Both are woody, spicy orientals. I think I might prefer the Oro by a shade, not least because it’s way less expensive than Organza Indecence.
Thanks for helping out at the animal shelter. What a great cause!
Beautiful and meaningful way to celebrate the day!. Thanks for being there for the animals! Happy Thanksgiving Foxbins!
Thank you for your service! Enjoy the fur and purrs!
Thank you for spending your holiday with the dogs and cats who need homes. Are you a volunteer or a staff member? I work at a shelter in Chicago, and am grateful that other staff members and volunteers are covering for me today.
Happy Thanksgiving to those NSTers who celebrate it. Mr. Jalapeno and I are doing something different this year. Usually we are by ourselves for Thanksgiving, since none of our family lives nearby. This year, we are taking a couple of smoked turkeys to a friends’ house for the big feast. I am a little nervous, since I will be meeting some of said friend’s family members for the first time.
SOTD = Shaal Nur, from the sample stash. Hide my credit card! This has made it on to the short list of bottles that I would buy in an instant, if money weren’t an issue.
Yesterday’s SOTD = Fendi Theorema, also from the sample stash. Sorry, Theorema fans, but it was a massive FAIL on me. This sample is now in the “Give” pile.
Smoked turkey twins! A kind NSTer sent me a sample of Theorema to try this year, and while not a total fail and I finished the sample, I didn’t love it the way others do. Shall Nur is lovely!
Shaal Nur is fantastic, and that makes up for hating Theorema!
Shaal Nur is one of my favorites. (And you didn’t hear it from me, but try Fragrancex—no affiliation.) Hope your Thanksgiving was fun. Smoked turkeys are delicious.
Happy Thanksgiving!
SOTD: J’adore L’absolu
Staring at this huge bowl of eggs that will soon become the custard for my apple pie, sticky pudding. Next to it is another bowl of eggs for my potato salad. Must get cracking! (Excuse the pun!)
Wait, it’s a sticky pudding apple pie? Or those are 2 separate desserts?
2 desserts and am happy to report that everyone enjoyed them! 🙂 A sticky apple pie pudding does sound good though. Yum…. Will try to work up a recipe to go with the leftovers 😉
Good! We had our traditional pumpkin flan and it was perfect.
We are hosting 12 at our house this year. Potatoes and cranberry sauce are made, Turkey in the oven. It’s not my favorite holiday but my husband’s parents are still with us and it’s big in his family, so there you are. Wearing Like This.
Enjoy the gathering. You smell great!
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! We already ate, and now I just want to nap. It’s a beautiful sunny but cold day here, thankful that it’s not snowing. I’m also very Thankful to all the lovely people here at Nst. This place is the best! I’m wearing Botrytis, I’m smelling pretty cozy.
You smell great. 🙂
It’s lovely to hear about Thanksgiving traditions, and all the wonderful food! Hope everyone celebrating has a wonderful holiday.
Wearing Journey woman today.
SOTD MFK Grand Soir for outrageously busy day! Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! ????
Happy Thanksgiving Deva! 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating! Ordinary thursday here but a good one nevertheless. In Un Jardin de Nil to celebrate summer here ????
You smell great!
Thank you all — in this thread and on the post un general — for your comments and warm thoughts.

Sorry for the untethered reply — the system wouldn’t accept a second comment from me in the same thread. It may not accept this one, either!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5111583/Owners-post-photos-dogs-ruin-Thanksgiving.html
???? Sorry but I couldn’t resist sharing this. I’m sure one of you dog people have some experience of this. I certainly have. Ya gotta love them.
That is so funny!
Happy Thanksgiving, my fragrant friends!! I’m thankful for NST and all you lovely people!
I only bought a few samples with me to CA where I’m visiting family for the holiday, but I’m feeling fine in my SOTD, Hermès 24 Faubourg.
I hope you all are, or are about to be, pleasantly stuffed! Enjoy your day!
You’re smelling great today!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Wearing Acqua di Parma Colonia today.
It’s 93 today in So Cal…
Yes, rather too hot for me! Hoping it will cool off soon.
I hope it cools off like right now!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to everybody who celebrates!
I’m extremely thankful to have this place to come to chat with people all over the world, get support or sympathize with somebody else’s problems.
Be strong and wise with sales tomorrow!
Agree about being thankful for this place!
My SOTD is vintage Samsara extrait by Guerlain.
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. We started the day with a five-mile hike, then saw Murder On The Orient Express. No Turkey festivities as the family is traveling about. Having a quiet day lolling about, seeing a movie and reading was nice for a change of pace.
How was the movie?
Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating. We only had 6 people for lunch but the food was truly amazing! I wore Arabie today- a few dabs. Felt it wouldn’t clash with the other foodie scents.
So thankful for all of your wishes for my Lucy yesterday. They brought tears to my eyes. She is about the same today. She is eating and drinking though and seems rather perky considering. We go back to the vet tomorrow for him to examine it and rewrap it so we will see what he says. Thanks again to you all. Hugs.
This is good news! She is eating and drinking. Good luck at vets, we will be waiting to hear updates and sending good wishes.
Good luck tomorrow!
Go Lucy! I hope she continues to mend????
Hello to everyone and a very late Happy Thanksgiving! I was on the site first thing this morning but then got busy doing some cleaning and lots of cooking all day and had company so have just come back now and enjoyed reading everyone’s posts and hearing all about their days. I am very sorry that some people have a sad time at this holiday due to missing family members. I do hope that either with friends or good memories some good new memories can be created. I made a lot of things–I love to cook but don’t do it often at all any more. I had three women friends over–we are all self-described cat ladies. For appetisers I served fresh baked baguette, eggplant dip, pickled mushrooms, Manchebo with melba toasts, and shrimp cocktail–all with Prosecco. Then for dinner we had a main dish that was fresh Norwegian salmon fillets with a maple glaze (including ginger and soy sauce), wild rice, green bean casserole, spinach salad, and sweet potatoes. And one of my friends brought a beautiful tres leches cake with kahlua–to die for. (Luckily she left me two pieces.) Lots of fun conversation and cat cuddling and playing with kittens (who mostly stayed out of the food, ha ha). We had warm-ish weather in the 60’s, nice and sunny. A very good day! Fragrance I wore: Amouage Opus VIII. I’m becoming a bit obsessed with it, just so complex and multi-faceted, with its florals, spices (GINGER!), frankincense, and woods. Mmmm.
Hope everyone gets some relaxation is if you have a long weekend, and that you don’t get stressed out on Black Friday shopping!
It sounds like a very good celebration (I hope, cats thought so too 😉 ); and you smelled great!
I thought people, including non-Americans, might enjoy reading the brief posts on this blog that is by some people in my field (aesthetics) writing about celebrating Thanksgiving from the perspective of different traditions: https://aestheticsforbirds.com/2017/11/23/happy-artsy-thanksgiving/#more-7285.
Interesting site, and now I’m also eager to try Opus VIII. I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving, or at least a pleasant Thursday or Friday.
