The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 6 October 2017 10 Comments

Orbella's new Fragrant Moss is bioengineered to smell like patchouli (earthy and spicy), linalool (floral and fresh) or geraniol (rose-like and bug repelling). "Orbella Fragrant Moss is a line of home fragrances cultivated in a glass terrarium. Using nature’s simplest ingredients — sunlight, CO2, and water — Orbella delivers a safer, cleaner, greener alternative to chemical-based air fresheners. No solvents. No phthalates. No petroleum by-products. Just fragrance made the natural way." If you're seriously interested, you might also note that "Current purchases will be eligible for a free upgrade (moss only) to the new enhanced fragrance strength strain of the moss when it's available." $79 at Orbella, found at Geek.com.

I want all three, but I’m starting with the Patchouli!

This is so cool, I really do want it! I’m rubbish with keeping plants alive but feel like I’d have a chance with moss to add some greenery and I can see these smelling subtly fresh and earthy.

I used to be great with plants but as I’ve gotten older I’ve lost that — too many other things going on!

I wondering what watering it will do to the fragrance, since moss needs a fair amount water to sporulate. Hooray for bryophytes!

Yup, I WANT THIS. More than any other daily lemming I can think of off the top of my head.

When the image first came up, it was tiny and I must have been hungry because the first thing I thought of was “What’s a matcha macaron doing in the daily lemming?’ Before I got to yumm, I saw the white container and thought “What’s a scallop shell doing in my matcha macaron?” Then I saw the rest of the container and thought “Why is there a big hole on the scallop shell?” So I decided to read the post and now I want one of these!
