The daily lemming

Lush Ro's Argan bar soap

If your Rose Jam is running low and won't hold out until the next batch is released, Lush's bar soap in Ro's Argan might tide you over. "With a decorative sprinkling of red and yellow roses, this glossy, moisturizing soap is a decadent experience from start to finish. After you’ve washed up with the creamiest suds imaginable, our sweet and fruity Rose Jam perfume will linger on your skin that’s been softened by antioxidant-rich argan oil, soothing rose oil and hydrating glycerin." $15.95.

While it looks pretty those rose petals incorporated into the soap would drive me bonkers! I like my soaps to be smooth, not lumpy.

I’m assuming they’d just go down the drain pretty quickly, but who knows…

I’m with you I don’t like large add-ins like this. It makes a mess in the shower and while yes, they do go down the drain, only to get stuck in the drain trap and clog up your drain, very annoying!!

Yes!!! I once bought a locally made bar of soap because it smelled like a lemon poppy seed cake…problem was the person who made it used an exorbitant amount of poppy seeds which ended up all over the place on my body and in the shower and ya’ll know how tiny a poppy seed can be…impossible to remove when wet…..I was not happy at all!

This is very exciting to me…I love Rose Jam but really do prefer bar soaps over gels.

You can keep the soap detritus contained by using a soap bag:

I’m a few days late on this, but I bought a small bar of this last weekend. It is a very good substitute for Rose Jam if you’re really jonesing for it and can’t wait another month or so. I’d say the vanilla is slightly more pumped up in the soap than in the gel. It’s also a little creamier than the gel, so if you’re someone who loves Rose Jam but finds that it dries you out, this one might be a nice alternative (I have skin like a salamander so I can’t say it’s been an issue for me, but I have heard some people say that the argan oil makes their skin really dry.)

I will also say regarding the rose petals, they are a little annoying to have to pick out of the drain, but they’re pretty much all gone after the second or third use anyway since they’re only on the surface and on one side.
