I'm late, but happy Almost-Friday! Plus, happy National Fried Chicken Day and happy Frida Kahlo's birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?
My sporting plans for today: sleep late (obviously), a bit of kayaking, perhaps a little walk around the lake, maybe an ice cream eating contest? And hopefully a bit of perfume testing later in the afternoon.
Reminder: on 7/7 we're doing Sports Friday...wear a sports scent! If you just can't go there, wear the sort of fragrance you think one might actually wear while doing something sporty.
Note: Our canoe paddles are perfectly functional but not quite so decorative as the Norquay ones shown (around $385 each).
I like those paddles!
A bit more sun and few Celcius more than yesterday. Still very pleasant.
I’m wearing Jul et Mad Fugit Amor.
Aren’t those pretty? I don’t know if people just hang those on their walls or actually use them in water.
They would look nice on a whitened wood wall
Very. Great photo.
Hot and sweaty here, definitely a good day for ice cream, I will be joining you. Just a bit of L’AP Orange Blossom.
I have already had my first scoop, so you will have to work to catch up 🙂
CSP Vanille Abricot, pretty much the polar opposite of a sport scent (I’ll think of something for tomorrow). It’s probably too hot for it but I was just in the mood for that dried-apricot-and-cooked-sugar goodness.
That does sound delicious.
Yum, you smell good! Your description just gave me a cookie idea. I bet adding dried apricots to sugar cookie dough would be delish! I’ll have to try it????
I would love some fried chicken. yum.
SOTD Jo Malone Grapefruit; I tried on a previously-untouched sample, and am surprised at how unlike grapefruit this is. It is the most masculine Jo Malone I have tried so far, with indistinct citrus and vetiver. Eh. I suppose I accidentally fit in the sporty theme 🙂
I do not usually love JM’s various grapefruit scents, but I think they’re big sellers.
I can see this working in a candle or shower gel form! It was a bit weird and unexpected, in the same way I find jasmine & mint has very little to do with jasmine.
I agree with you this one not smelling like grapefruit and being on the masculine side. I have several samples of this that I usually just combine with another scent. It calms it down a lot. But, I definitely wouldn’t purchase a FB of this unless I was getting it for one of the men in my life.
Tedting my other Dusita sample, Le Sillage Blanc. Wow, this is potent stuff. A very interesting and well done scent. Perhaps a little too masculine for me but excellent all the same.
It was inspired by Piguet Bandit
I didn’t know that. I’ve never tried Bandit so I have no basis for comparison. Thanks for the info Lucas!
agreed, I thought it was wonderful, but I didn’t love wearing it, it didn’t feel like me. But I would love to catch a whiff of someone else wearing it.
I too find it a little masculine — a categorization I usually hate! — but if I am in the right mood love it on.
MEM today. WOW – I am speechless
Speechless in a good way? I’m trying to imagine how a lavender perfume could wow me..? But then, I’m not a fan of lavender….
In a good way 🙂
I am not a big lavender fan either but I actually liked MEM a lot!
And it is so much more than lavender. Flowers, fruits, green notes and I think there is ambergris in it too.
Also, the lavender used is unlike most other lavender notes out there.
The lavender has an earthiness, like a handful of soil and roots thrown in.
Not the screechy soapy or potpourri/sachet-like lavender I really dislike.
Oh good! I may have try it. I love Maai, and was having difficulty imagining this house putting out a “generic lavender” scent.
This is how I find it too. Very non-lavender-y in the ways that are bothersome.
I still like MAAI better (I looove that one, so gorgeous), but I was glad I tried MEM and have a sample, now I know not all lavender notes are scary. 😉
On my skin MEM was a huge disappointment, but I had my husband try it and it was great…
Ah too bad, but at least it is good on your husband!
Sounds like a perfect day Robin! Probably join in the ice cream eating later. Bought too much (if there’s such a thing) for our BBQ and no one ate it so it’s all mine ????
I did some speed sniffing last night -that’s a sport I’m good at- all musks. I got the Sylvaine Delacourt sampke pack and can’t say I really like any of them. Dovana was probably the favorite but the far drydown smelled rubbery on me. The others were too sweet for me and Helcriss seemed out of place in this musk collection-it smelled like a citrusy aromatic thing.
Today I’m in a Sephora-made sample of Derek Lam Silent Street: clean white musk with a hint of cucumber which smells more green than aquatic. I’m enjoying it more rhan I thought I would.
We are really having a perfect week so far. I can’t remember weather this pleasant here in July…
Back in No. 19 EDP today, and feeling bolstered by its romantic hauteur. It’s what I imagine Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream wearing — beautiful, green, flower-strewn, and SO above it all.
Love your description!
Happy Fried Chicken day? I’m in!
Today’s SOTD is Annick Goutal’s Eau de Camille with notes of honeysuckle, privet, seringa and ivy, it was love at first sniff for me. It doesn’t last more than a few hours, so I brought Roger & Gallet’s Bouquet Imperial to work to respritz at lunch time. 🙂
You smell lovely!
AH! Nice one
Sleeping in is the bomb! Hope you’re feeling relaxed, refreshed, and working on a gorgeous summer glow????
As for me, nope. Sweaty Betty here, working in the van in this heat and humidity is the pits, but better things are around the corner. Every once in a while I get a whiff of the Tauer Orange Star I applied this morning and it’s quite soothing.
Weird weather here- there is a constant threat of storms- thunder booming from skies with hardly a cloud. It has me a bit edgy and the dog positively rattled. No problem with 4th of July fireworks, but a rumble of thunder a billion miles away and she’s a shaking whining shivery mess! Go figure. Plus, she wallpapers herself to me in any way possible. Hardly any sleep last night because I was so worried about her, plus my bed was vibrating like those 1970’s hotel beds that required a quarter to operate. She won’t eat, play, even refused a bone!
Leaving soon, but not soon enough for me.
It may be the static in the air rather than the noise that bothers her. I have had good luck with either a commercial Thundershirt
http://www.thundershirt.com/
Or a t shirt tied so it fits slightly snugly. Then, they don’t receive the tactile sensations of their fur reacting to the atmospheric changes. This has helped some dogs immensely.
Hopefully the poor girlie can enjoy her bone in peace.
Well, I’m a bit of a skeptic, but good to know they work for some dogs. I have a friend who tried one with her dog and it did nothing, so I haven’t been inclined to try with mine. This is the first dog I’ve ever had that has reacted this way, and her sensitivity seems to be increasing. Up until recently, she didn’t pay any attention what so ever. Not sure why her response is changing so drastically, but it’s stressing me out to see her so stressed out. Yikes!
Hope your dog gets to feeling calmer soon! And you also!!????
Ahh, so that’s how those work! Thanks for the info.
Deva, my sister is in Fl and she has had pretty good luck with the Thundershirts for the doggies. Doesn’t make them fearless, but does seem to make it more bearable for them.
Thunder shirts have worked better for my cats than my dog, but as Apsara said, they made life in the thunderstorm season more bearable for him.
I’m giving Aerin Waterlily Sun a full wearing and feeling pretty meh about it. I sampled it a couple hours before bed a week and a half ago and seemed to like it a little more then. I wish I had something more exciting to refresh with midday, but I’ll survive.
austenfan pointed out I was on a Goutal kick so I am switching it up today.
Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot
I perfect fragrance for sailing
“…when it burns the teakwood under your feet on the decks of sailboats anchored at port”
Top Notes: Apricot Papaya bottom notes sugar candy vanilla.
I’m wearing SJP Stash, and for some reason it started out smelling of crayons. Now it just smells a little funky, but it may be a fragrance best worn in cooler weather. I last wore it in March, so that my be the difference. March and July are very different temperature-wise in Texas.
You know, I really liked stash when I bought it, but with each subsequent wearing I liked it less and less. Weird????
Iso E Super? That’s something that can sneak up on me…
Beautiful summer day and I have turned to Ananas Fizz again 🙂
I haven’t sniffed this fragrance but it sounds so fun! And I love pineapple. So I’m going to make the confident assumption that you smell great! 🙂
Eau Sauvage for me today, which is probably the sportiest fragrance I own.
Happy birthday Frida Kahlo! I saw an exhibition of her work at the Detroit Institute of Arts a couple of years ago. Some of Diego Rivera’s work was on display too, but I only had eyes for Frida. It was fabulous. What an icon she was.
It is really a perfect sport scent. I should have brought my bottle with me.
Micallef Gaiac. Because it’s soothing and movers come tomorrow!
Question for anyone who wishes to chime in:
How hot is too hot for ordering fragrances? Has anyone had an issue where you think the fragrance was negatively affected by being shipped during hot weather?
Thanks for any info!
I’ve never had a problem ordering in summer. Nothing came smelking off. Unless the package were going to sit in a hot mailbox in the sun for more than a day, not something I worry about. I’m assuming manufacturers don’t hold off on shipping their merch during summer months and I kind of doubt they have elaborate cooling systems when they ship to stores. I could be wrong however…
I live in the desert and, while I try not to order perfume between June and September, I break my little rule all the time and have never had a problem. I do try to take note of when it will arrive and get it in the house as quickly as possible.
Ditto this. It’s summer here ALL the time, and I’ve recieved almost all my samples and full bottles via mail. Never had a problem, and I think short term it’s probably not harmful. If a bottle was sitting for weeks or months in high heat, that might be another story, though.
Never a problem ordering perfumes during summer time. All of them have arrived, so far in perfect condition.
Thanks, all!
I’m not going to make fried chicken in this heat, but I’ll honor the day by visiting KFC for dinner. I’m sampling AG Eau de Sud this morning. At first spray it leaned a little too aromatic for me, but that has subsided and now it’s citrus and basil. Quite nice.
An opossum has started visiting the back yard at dusk and driving the dog nuts. I’d prefer if it went elsewhere so I’m researching deterrents today. Anyone here with advice?
Eau DU Sud.
Those opossums are pretty unflapable. I had a Rottweiler a few years back who gifted me with a live one, trotting it proudly into the house from the back yard. At first, I thought it was dead, but nope, it was just playing opossum. I managed to get it outside and after a while it waddled off. The next evening, I look out my kitchen window, and see the (probable) same opossum perched up on my wood fence, birdogging me through the kitchen window. I went out to scare it away to avoid repeat doggie/opossum altercation and the bold thing just showed me his teeth, hissed at me, and sauntered on down the fence. So, good luck????
Hmmm, opossum deterrents … I dunno, if an ONCOMING CAR isn’t an effective deterrent for them (and it isn’t, by all observable evidence), I’m not sure anything is. But good luck!
???? so true! But then I see a mom waddling around with 6 or 8 little ones on her back, and I just think they are ADORABLE!
My little dog has had several extremely close encounters with possum in our back yard. Scares the absolute crud out of me each time. When confronted, they freeze and are easy for dogs to corner. Be very careful bc they can seriously injure a dog with their claws. No deterrents that I’m aware of, unless you can find their nest. I just look very carefully before I let the dog out.
And those teeth are quite imposing as well. They can definitely do serious physical damage. Also, they love to share their vermin- because of that encounter mentioned above, my dog ended up with ticks. It was horrific! I had to treat not only my dogs and myself, but also my house and my yard. I had been in this house for about 9 years at that time and NEVER saw a single tick. They are the most disgusting things with eight legs! Ugh! ????
Glad your dog didn’t get hurt! I threw a rock at one that my dog had cornered, trying to scare it away. It hit the possum and it didn’t even move???? Scared my dog though, so I grabbed her and ran????
Following TriesToBeClassy recommendation the other day, I am wearing Beach body lotion topped it with some Hermes Eau des Merveilles. Such a bright, beachy, happy combo! Perfect for the gray, gloomy day we are having here. It is very uplifting. I will join ice cream day later with some vanilla-caramel gelato that is calling my name from my fridge 🙂
Your vacation sounds like heaven, Robin! How wonderful!
I’m trying to get into the Sport theme, but I’ve never even sniffed a perfume with Sport in the name.
Instead, I’ve gone with Cristalle which does make me think of a sport where you wear all white and play it on a lawn of an Estate. Does that count?
I’m with u on Cristalle, sporty and aristocratic!- I’m going to wear it tomorrow now!
This sounds like the perfect solution. I may join you both in Cristalle tomorrow, or perhaps L’eau d’Hadrien which evokes a similar image for me.
Count me in too!
Perfect!
In NEST Midnight Fleur today, trying to use up the splash bottle that’s lost its top notes. Still smells fine, just no more glorious pineapple in the opening. I’m kind of stumped on the theme for this week! I don’t have any sport scents. I think for tomorrow I might wear EL Bronze Goddess. That at least makes me think of beaches and swimming/surfing. Close enough, right?
I think Bronze Goddess totally works for the theme! In my mind it conjures up beach volleyball, swimming, surfing, and other sporty summer adventures.
It’s national kissing day too! So if anyone needed a excuse to get a new lip color have at it!
As if I need an excuse!
On to the 4th ancient-chinese-voodoo-inspired scent from Essence of Chi. SOTD is “Earth”.
Top: chamomile and immortelle;
Mid: mimosa, broom and ylang-ylang;
Base: ambergris, guaiac wood, olibanum and birch.
It really doesn’t smell of anything much, so there’s no earthly chance this is my element. ;^P
Kanuka: I’m not so much worried of not finding the element that suits me, as of finding that I’ve got a 5x15ml coffret of stuff I can only ever use to clean down glass surfaces. I got these at the fragrance exhibition in Paris last year, and my memory is I liked one of them quite well. So either my tastes have changed, or this stuff has a seriously compromised shelf life.
I like the way ‘Essence of Chi’ ( used on Day 1 of this experiment ) has morphed into Chinese Voodoo. Maybe you just need to release any negative energy and call on the perfume goddess within to guide you on this journey? Also, Essence of Chi is a Dusseldorf perfumer? So there could also be an elemental warp in the whole China-German-Birmingham-Irish gig? Or, maybe your true element really is window cleaner? Very handy for Hausordnung day.
You crack me up, Kanuka.
SOTD MFK APLS
Mmmm
This one is a real shapeshifter! For three days I have gotten creamy sweet golden honey but today it is a balsamic amber on my skin…equally as lovely….and in the winter it smelled of sex and skank…go figure!
That’s just a straight up gorgeous fragrance. Have you tried the cologne version?
Ummm…I think so, but not 100% sure as all the different versions confuse me (Pour Le Soir, Grand Soir, etc, etc)…my best friend perfumista sent me a whole bunch of MFK in sample vials but this one she sent in 10ml decant so I have really been able to live in it. In the winter I got head on cumin but in the summer I am getting none of that. Something about it today reminds me of vintage Opium.
i like honey in fragrances when its done right
🙂
Une Rose Chypree, still probably my favourite Tauer. I’m digging his Gardenia though.
I love his gardenia. It actually took my breath away the first time I tried it (in a good way, not a choking way).
SotD = Oolang Infini, such a great scent in the heat.
Heatwave! so I’ll be cologne-ing my way through the day. Stay cool and fragrant, NST.
Just got a surprise sample of this and tried it last week. It’s really nice. You smell great!
Thanks, Luna Green! Atelier Colognes have such great citrus notes, they are fun to reapply all day long.
Oolang Infini is a perfectly sporty scent. Good choice!
I hadn’t thought of it that way, but now that I thank about it I definitely agree, Oolang Infini has a sporty vibe. Thanks! 🙂
At the oral surgeon right now. Getting a tooth pulled and a bone graft today. Wearing Zagorsk right now.
You smell great! Wishing you a speedy recovery from the dental surgery 🙂
Good luck with your dental procedure. Zagorsk is so comforting. I hope it makes you feel more relaxed. Feel better soon!
hope you do well with the procedure and recover quickly!
You smell great! Zagorsk is my favourite from the CdG incense series.
I hope surgery went well!
I hope your recovery is easy and quick!
Omg! That sounds horrible!! Jeez, I hope they’re giving you some SERIOUS sedation. ????
/\ THIS! And some serious drugs for the recovery!
ow! Best fragrant wishes to you as you recover.
Wishing you a quick recovery!
Finished off my decant of TF’s Neroli Portofino. It’s a nice neroli (maybe even a bit sporty?) but sheesh, the price.
Preparing for another scorching heat wave in ELDO Remarkable People. Still no air conditioner in my apartment so I moved my tiny perfume collection to the refrigerator as a precaution.
Oh, stay cool — you and the perfumes!
In in LL The Noir 29. As noted by tiffanie above, tea scents can be just perfect for summer heat.
Smelling great! 🙂
wearing 1996, it never lets me down.
You smell great!
Muguet Porcelaine for a trip to Costco in my waning days of unemployment.
I start the new job on the 24th and am excited but somewhat nervous and stressed. The commute isn’t going to be pleasant but such is life.
I am also going to stop at The Habit as I have a free burger coupon that must be redeemed today! ????
Congrats! Amazing news! Good luck , the 24th will be here before you know it!
Enjoy it while you can, and try not to focus on the coming life-change!
Morning, all. My sport this Foul Friday (the weather! who invented this revolting mess?) is to chair Exam Board, three hours of tedium, then discuss assessments with a team member….I get the all the best jobs! My fragrance for these sports is Oiellet Bengale, because why not?
You know, remembering holidays and missed opportunities is a pain. I keep thinking of Fumerie with Foxbins, and how I should have thrown caution to the winds and bought Pelargoniam by Aedes de Venustas. I loved it immediately, just the way I did Black Cashmere, so why oh why did I not buy it? Donatella wouldn’t have cared…the dear man wouldn’t have cared…Dakkie would have been positively pleased. But I didn’t. It was an uncharacteristic moment of restraint. Next year, I will return, and that perfume will be the first I buy, just see if it isn’t.
Be well, all.
No wonder you’ve been scowly…bad weather, America’s Cup patriotism, university , exam boards and missed perfume opportunities. I keep thinking about Boy . Maybe Sycomore could help fill a little gap?
It’s hard not to keep thinking about Boy. I need the occasional hit, and nothing else will do.
The pain of realising that a small moment of self-restraint is utterly dwarfed by months of regret – I know it well!
I’m trying Shaal Nur today for the first time (thanks ScentSpirit!) and am stunned – I had no idea this fragrance even existed, and now I think I may be falling in love. Incense / flowers in the heat is a great idea.
I would wear this mountain climbing – not for the climbing part, but for the sitting at the top and surveying the view part.
What a great image! When I lived in NC, I hiked up Mount Mitchell and it was amazing. It was like a holy place-natures cathedral, so quiet and serene. It was such a humbling yet uplifting experience. I can imagine certain perfumes work well it those situations.
Sounds wonderful. Checkin’ it out!
Oh I’m so glad you like it! This is another one I would never have tried if someone on here had not mentioned it. I got a sample and fell in love. (Can’t remember who gets the enabler pin?)
I tried that in warm weather for the first time last week and had the same response. Complete ecstasy. It didn’t last long on me, though. You?
No, I get really good longevity, but I find that with a lot of scents that others don’t.
Trying a sample of Atkinson’s Jasmine in Tangerine, gifted from a lovely perfume friend. Oh boy this one is very nice – this is a jasmine that works on me. Serious bottle contender. I would wear this if I was still playing tennis. One day I’ll get back out on the court.
The sport is tennis and the scent is IA The Soft Lawn. Linden, Vetiver, Tennis Balls…. I bought this on a whim, then wondered why and am now enjoying it more. Definitely not something I reach for too often, though.
My SOTD is Balle de Match, which would indeed be great while watching Wimbledon.
I am your twin in spirit.
Off to Central Otago today where the temperature is a balmy -7C (20F) and I will be sleeping at my friend’s house in an unheated garden shed ( marketed as a rustic ‘small space’ ). The worst thing…apart from sleeping in all my clothes and a wool beanie…. is the outdoor shower and toilet because at this time of year the pooled water on the schist flagstones freezes …so skating will my sport. At least I’ll see some good stars and the milky way. I’m packing a selection of perfumes with me as I am taking a writing workshop on the five senses and we might need a bit of inspiration. Wearing Alaia Blanche.
Make sure you wear your beanie to protect your noggin when you go skating across he flagstones!
Central Otago! Lovely, but just a bit for cold me 🙂 Have agreat time.
0_0 sounds like the depths of misery to me. have fun!
Temperatures have risen to summer level again.
25 C / 77 F but it is stuffy outside and clouds with rain, thunder and lightning are moving over my house right now.
So…perfect weather for Vetiver Blanc by Sultan Pasha Attars! On warm slightly sweaty skin this is even more sexy.
This morning I started out in Encre Noire btw. Great vetiver year round for me!
Oh and hey I have this idea, if we consider sex a sport, then finding a sporty scent suddenly becomes much easier. 😉
Channeling Robin – however way you interpret it is fine. Even justifying something is a sport unto itself 🙂
LOL — perfect combo of your way of reasoning and my way of reasoning!
Wearing a jacket with pink roses today, so I think Paestum Rose will go well.
Today is one of those days when nothing but No. 19 EDT would do for me, so that’s my SOTD.
Probably my favorite of all perfumes! You smell great!
Twins; yes we do smell great! This is so good in the heat; it’s currently 38 celcius outside.
I’m waiting for the sun to go down before tend to my poor plants outside.
SOTD- Cristalle edt. My decant is getting low and I am trying to decide if I need to purchase a bottle or get another (third) decant.
Went grocery shopping yesterday to Fresh Thyme Market (similar to Whole Foods, but friendlier prices) and treated myself with affardable and fragrant gift- Shoyeido incense sampler and incense holder, about $ 6.00 for both. 🙂
I would go for the FB or even a partial one on evilBay. Having already gone through almost 2 decants, do the math and you’ll see that you will probably spend close to the cost of a FB with a lot less volume.
Yup, and the classic Chanels can always be found at good prices.
This!
Fresh Thyme is great for fun fragrant stuff. I tested out a Sarabecca perfume oil there that I later ended up buying. I may go back for a Shoyeido sampler myself 🙂
I went with See by Chloe’s Eau Fraiche. I forget how pleasant this is!
Kissing cousins! I wore See By Chloe this morning.
Happy Thursday Everyone!
Wearing Aoud Velvet by Montale for the first time. What a gem of a scent. Absolutely stunning! I honestly haven’t worn a Montale fragrance that I didn’t like. This line has a lot of great scents in my opinion.
What do you like about it? The bottle design and the number of choices SCARE the living daylights out of me. Just mention Montale and my brain spits out HELL NO!
lolol! ME TOO!
The choices are overwhelming, but call me tacky cause I love those bottles! If aliens wear perfume, it comes out of a bottle just like Montales!
I wore Coromandel for lunch on a patio with my sister-in-law and have now topped up with Caleche. The only sport I can see this going with would be upscale shopping, but I’m sitting on my couch eating leftovers.
We’re cousins today! I wore Kelly Caleche Parfum Extrait.
That one is SO GOOD!
I’m starting to wonder, are you my scent twin?
We could be but for you having a more discerning nose for different batches of the same perfume 🙂
Mmm. Love Caleche. Seems perfect for croquet. Or yachting. Or driving a vintage convertible with the top off in a white blouse, capris, driving mocs, Hermes scarf, and driving gloves.
Lipstick Rose for my return to the real world after a fun little vacation. DH politely told me that he does not like this perfume. Poor thing, he was trapped next to me on a plane…????????
Oh no, poor thing but I would be a hypocrite if I did not admit to disliking it intensely myself. It smells like undertakers’ wax. I know I’m in the minority.
I’ll come out of the shadows to say I dislike it as well. I got an overwhelming bready smell from it, and not in a good way.
????????
Oh good, I am not alone!
Omg, thanks for that word picture H????
Sorry not sorry 😉
What the hel* is undertakers wax? And why have you been sniffing it?!????
Well, if you really want to know, it reminds me of the smell of an open casket wake…yikes! So it really could be some other substance but it has a rather suffocating waxy “feel” to the smell
You are killing me! ????
I really really don’t like it on me. So with you.
Wearing Songes Edp for the first time, blind buy…
Smells like corn and curry??? What’s wrong with me? Will it get better?
Wow interesting. I will be happy to send you a decant from my bottle Coin-op to see if you get the same results?
Actually, I just read there’s cumin (?) in Songes. Which I had no idea.
That is so nice of you to offer! I think I am OK for now, thank you though! I’m going to sit with it, and read more about it – everything I read was so great, but I might have been “wishful reading”
I get corn from a lot of jasmines, as do lots of others. (I specifically get boiling hominy.) Sounds like your nose is already pretty well tuned!
I was really looking forward to this one 🙁 ????
Have not heard of the jasmine/corn connection before, very interesting! Was not expecting posole from such a lovely bottle 🙂
I get corn tortillas from Seville a l’Aube.
OMG – What a crazy busy day!
SOTD = Hermes Kelly Caleche Parfum Extrait
I was too cheap to spring for the travel lock but I had since acquired one; however, I am too lazy to use it and so I am using the refill commando. This is a more concentrated version of the EDP ao to my nose, everything just smells more potent and the leather is definitely more prominent. The connection to sport is Kelly Caleche and her equestrian roots. I have ridden horses around a paddock but that doesn’t really count; does it? Oh, I used 5 sprays – and I think that is just right!
Now what to wear tomorrow?
Ooh, I might have to think about that when my edp mini runs out!
Yep – see gville’s comment!
I have a little bottle of vintage Caleche extrait. So gorgeous! Now I need to go take a quick sniff.
Wow! Vintage!
And I meant to say someone gave me a mini Caleche something in my first year of swapping. I have to find it and compare!
I love this one. I like the edp but the extrait is perfection– so potent, so rosy, so smooth, and such a nice touch of leather.
PSA – the 1oz tester sprays can be found for crazy cheap on ebay. The spray function on those is COPIOUS and has a lovely built in cap that turns to cover the nozel. I have seen them on ebay for around $75.
I might need a back up bottle!
Oh la la! This is making me salivate a little bit 😀
Me too! Darn it….
