Happy Tuesday! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm on a very quick out of town trip today, and did not bring anything scented with me other than my BFF Lush Rose Jam. I didn't forget the tea, though, and I'm drinking a nice Assam from Upton right now.
Reminder: 5/19 will be Huesday on Friday, episode 2...wear a fragrance inspired by Pantone's Color of the Year for 2017, Greenery. You do not have to wear a green fragrance — be as creative as you like with the theme! "Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate." (Huesday was originally suggested by TheGoddessRena and Olenska, and you can see episode 1 here.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2017, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

We’re finally getting spring weather so I reached for Eau de Soir. Iove it in the spring.
Weather is turning warm here too 🙂
Oh, you smell great! 🙂 Perfect chypre for a spring day!
My green today comes from Muguet Porcelaine. Wet and springy.
You smell great! Perfect pick for greenery.
Nice! I should pull mine out this week.
Got 0 sleep last night for whatever reason. Wish I could get out of work this morning.
Parfum de Nicolai’ s l’Eau MiXte to wake me up.
Ugh, so sorry! Hope tonight goes better, and good luck getting through the day.
Sunshine today, yay! Celebrating with Kerbside Violet, a lovely green violet.
oh thanks for reminding me that “green violets” count too!
SOTD: Coromandel EdP
Cold and rainy day.
Not enough sleep thanks to:
1) Husband forgetting to switch off his work phone which rang repeatedly at 1am;
2) Cat deciding toes make excellent prey at 2am; and
3) Small child climbing into bed eith me and kicking me in his sleep at 4am.
*sigh* Needed something to carry me through what was already looking to be a harsh work day followed by a night class… Coffee and Coromandel was the best answer I could come up with.
Coffee and Coromandel are a good answer to many problems. Hope your day improves!
I hope your day gets better! It sounds like your cat and my cat have the same nocturnal hunting ideas.
Coromandal is great. EdP is the higher concentration right? Can’t speak to coffee as I am a tea person but if I was you I would need at least a pot of it.
Husband phone making all kinds of rings and dings is just frustrating. Loved ones climbing into bed is sweet and a little irritating simultaneously if you have so much to do the next day.
You smell strong and awake!! Good luck today.
Sounds like a good solution of coffee and scent. My cat is in a phase of walking all over me in the morning, trying to get me to get up.
That is a good combo to get going in the mornings!
Twins…full of Coromandel (albeit EDT) and coffee as well! Also had a small child climb in bed during the wee hours of the night. Hang in there!
Has anyone compared Coromandel edt to edp? I will possibly forever kick myself for not buying a FB of the edt before it was too late.
It’s a warm day, but I feel like wearing something warm and comforting. So it’s Dyptique Tam Dao. Mildly green and very woody. A cosy fresh woody scent.
Tam Dao is perfect any day!
Greens for today- Imaginary Author’s The Soft Lawn and Tocca’s Guilietta.
and now Demeter’s Florence Meadow which I am really liking!
Reeking havoc today? Add one more and you’re there for certain. 🙂
I really must try more of the Demeter florals. I love their lavender, also the honeysuckle. Very pretty.
Topped it off with Demeter Vanilla Bark-LOL! I had quite a few Demeters to sample before younger family member takes them away from me!
L`Artisan Fou d`Absinthe. Not a green springy, but I was craving for it…
You smell great!
If i were at home that would be one of my choices this week as well. Its not green springy but it def has something green with more yellows than blues in it.
Just one spritz, so I do not get complains at work 🙂
Isn’t absinthe itself green?
Yes, it is referred to as ‘la fee verte’ / the green fairy. It sure has a vivid green/yellow colour.
I drank it once in a bar in Brussels years ago, and I got very drunk (but I already had my share of Belgian beers that evening hahaha).
Green and strong, at least for me.
Bongiorno lovely smelly people here!
Still on vacation. From Strasbourg to Bern and now we are in Italy (near Parma).
At the moment we are staying in a lovely small house (found on airbnb) where we are surrounded by all the greens and flowers (roses, iris) you can imagine.
So no sotd for me, just inhaling and smelling everything nature has to offer. And sitting in the sun, reading Kurt Vonnegut (Slapstick or lonesome no more).
How absolutely grand. Enjoy!
Perfect!
That sounds amazing.
Ah, fabulous. I think we all wish we were on vacation with you.
My students finished their state testing yesterday, so I woke up this morning feeling relaxed for the first time in weeks. Th first scent I thought of that matched my glorious mood was Oliver Peoples, so I am happily wearing it.
Oh you smell wonderful!
Trying my lovely Chant d’Arômes again. Not very green, but with some green hints. It dries down to this lovely skin scent.
I’ve never tried that one. Next month I’m going to Disneyworld EPCOT, and I’ll try it at the Guerlain boutique there.
It’s very soft and nice.
You smell wonderful!
(Hopefully) on the tail end of a nasty cold. I have a flight on Friday to take me across country for a week’s holiday, including a meet-up with some lovely scent-friends. The enjoyment that will bring will not be lessened by a stupid cold – I forbid it !!
SOTD is Chanel No. 22 – No official green note, but makes me feel spring-like.
You smell so beautiful 🙂
I hope you start feeling better and can enjoy your trip.
Hope you are feeling better ASAP! Spring colds suck.
Continuing green week with another fresh one; the lovely Origins Spring Fever. It’s so perky and fresh that it might not count as perfumista bait, but I took it on a trip to Xilitla, Mex. years ago and it will always remind me of thunderstorms in the rainforest and the wonders of that magical trip.
I never heard of that one form Origins…do they still make it? It sounds really good!
I think it was discontinued quite a long time ago. It’s a shame since it was a nice herbal-green scent without all the sugar and white musk that mars so many newer scents.
SOTD a splash of vintage Diorissimo cologne.
I wish I had time to chime in, I see so many choices I want to compliment. You all smell blissful during this greenest of weeks 😀
You smell fabulous. Vintage Diorissimo brings back memories of playing with all of my aunt’s perfumes.
Such a gorgeous scent!
Beckoning hot and humid (90 degrees and humid, tomorrow and Thursday! ), by showering with Cristalle ‘gel moussant integral’. Shower gel to us regular folks. 😉 LOL
Cristalle Chanel EDP circa 1995 splashed on arms and neck.
Galbanum, honeysuckle, jasmine, oakmoss, civet, and vetiver.
Went to LUSH for the first time on Sunday, Rose Jam shower gel out of stock. Just as well, I would not have waited in the daunting check out line.
The atmosphere was not as overwhelming as I’ve seen it described.
Triple strength coffee.
Hot weather, scorch my soul !!!
😀
Carpe Diem. Peace.
You smell fabulous, Bear!
You smell great! Cheers to triple strength coffee- I had two Hazelnut mixed with a dark blend.
You smell fab! I need to wear that this week.
Me too!
Same weather here, Bear! But yesterday was perfection.
smellin’ good, Bear!
Smelling great Bear! and yeah for triple strength coffee. I am walking away from my desk now to get my 4th cup of coffee. And I hope this one finally works for me…
Ooooh, good stuff!
Sounds delicious!
We have a LUSH store in Berlin as well and the smell emanating from that place is just unbelievable…
Thank you Everyone !!!! 😀
Well, shut the front door! Right after I posted my Chanel comment yesterday about being peeved because there were no samples of the Les Exclusifs with my FB purchase, I got an email from the Associate Director of Customer Care, who states she was able to “locate samples” and forward them to me. Also have me a code for free overnight shipping for additional purchases. Huh! Color me dumbfounded!
So, I’m again in BoE, because why not?
Cool! It’s nice to get a good surprise now and then.
wow, that is great!
So, do you think that Associate Director might be a lurker on NST? 😉
Maybe, but I think it’s more likely related to the survey they sent to me after my purchase????
Oh!
Color me green with envy !!!
LOL. 😉
Enjoy, Deva !!
Wow. That’s a class act right there.
Great! You deserve it.
Enjoy!!
So nice that happened. You deserv3 all good things!
Wow! That’s awesome.
Ah, very nice. I was disappointed that neither of my 2 exclusifs purchases at Nordstrom included any samples (or a Chanel bag! garumph.) My H purchased the first; I bought the second and asked for samples. The SA made decants for me, though. Not sure why they didn’t have any mfr samples on hand? Like some of those 4 ml minis… 😉
That’s the thing- there is nowhere near me that sells the les exclusifs in order to get a small sample. It’s a real conundrum now that decant companies don’t even sell the brand.
Yesterday’s SOTD was SJP Stash courtesy of an Ulta tester bottle. Stash is extraordinarily well done, as many have remarked. Woody perfumes–especially cedar ones–aren’t my favorite, otherwise I’d snap up a bottle.
SOTD is a few dabs of Zoologist Nightingale.
You smell good (and you did yesterday, too)!
I went with FM Eau de Magnolia today – it’s really difficult to match fragrance to the weather in Oregon’s springtime because the weather is so changeable. It’s cold and rainy this morning, and was yesterday too but there were so many sunbreaks (yes, autocorrect, it’s a word … here, anyway) that it felt non-cold and non-rainy. If you see what I mean. You know how Eskimos reportedly have hundreds of different words for snow? I feel like I should have hundreds of different words for rain.
Eau de Magnolia is one of my favorites!
As a former prairie girl where there was only one word for rain (“rain”) and now a west coaster, I feel like we do have a hundred words for rain I never used to understand. Like spitting, drizzling, showering, raining, pouring, sun showers, buckets, monsoon…
also partly sunny, partly cloudy, partly rainy, sun with showers, rain with breaks, showers with rain… lol
🙂
I really could do a green week as I have greens of all shades, but I had to be at an early meeting so went with my easy, no-brainer Chanel no 5 EDT layered over the body oil. I read the discussion about the body cream which sounds very enticing. Maybe my bday gift to me this month! ????
You smell wonderful!
You smell great. That’s a perfect work combo.
How’s the body oil? I’ve wondered if it’s similar at all to Elixir Sensuel.
I like it. It smells very much like the edt to me.
You smell fab!
I have Hermessence Paprika Brasil on one arm and Jour d’Hermes on the other. I’m trying to decide which one to go with for today.
I am drinking a cup of Matcha Green Jasmine Tea.
Oh I’ve never heard of Paprika Brasil. What’s it like?
Very woody and lots of iris.
AG Passion today. I love how the sharp green tomato leaf and oak moss notes contrast with the sultry white flowers- what a gorgeous perfume. Now that the weather is finally warming up this is going into my regular rotation. I’ve already put away the early spring greens (Private Collection, Vent Vert, Silences, etc.) but I may need to pull some of them back out for this week’s project.
DSH Giverny in Bloom. I drained my sample and may need another small decant of it. It is a burst of stems, soil, and flowers glistening as the sun peeks through clouds after a light drizzle.
I’m so happy I can smell this one. I hope to discontinue the antibiotics, that have been altering my sensory/ skin balance, this week.
That one is so pretty…i drained my sample too.
That one is gorgeous. Used up my sample and promptly bought a dram bottle.
Glad you’re on the upswing!
Thanks!
Realizing I have a sample of Miller et Bertaux Green, green, green and …green No. 3 somewhere that I should dig out and test this week.
Did everyone see all the photos of that astonishingly well-preserved dinosaur? I think it is the most amazing (and scariest) thing ever.
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/photography/proof/2017/05/nodosaur-fossil-discovery-science-photography/
I wonder what its world smelled like…
Thanks for that nozknoz!
Can’t wait to see it on my laptop instead of this phone.
I was fascinated by PTERODACTYLS as a child.
They were featured in the opening of Jonny Quest. LOL
Good times.
🙂
Have you seen pileated woodpeckers, Bear? They look very pterodactyly. 🙂
Yes, there is one in my neighbor’s backyard tree, abutting my backyard.
Still creating his/her home yesterday.
😀
Wonderful! They are powerful peckers! 😉
Amazing isnt it??!!
They found a similar one in Montana, and they called him/her/it Zuul (yes Ghostbusters reference, love it).
https://arstechnica.com/science/2017/05/rare-dinosaur-with-preserved-skin-and-bone-crushing-tail-found-in-montana/
That’s great, too. Thanks, Jiji!
“There is no Dana, only Zuul” 🙂
????”Are you the Keymaster?”
Perhaps ELDO can think up an appropriate scent to represent the era of that fossil!
Yes, but I’m not entirely sure I’d want to try it – their idea of swamp gas might resemble the “stupendous bilge note” in Secretions Magnifique. 😉
Seconding on the scary for this dinosaur! Also rather impressive, though.
Yes,can you imagine a time when dinosaurs ruled the country… Very scary…. Bahaha
The early mammals at that time were very small and kept a low profile, I imagine. 🙂
Wasn’t it pretty warm in the Cretaceous? I haven’t smelled a bona fide jungle, but I have smelled inside the Palm House at Kew. I imagine it would smell like that: hot, humid, earthy green.
I am wearing Thymes Wild Angelica. I was running so late that I just didn’t have time to choose a fragrance. When I got to work Wild Angelica was the most appropriate of the perfumes I keep in my desk. Magnolia and angelica.
Hello! I’m a longtime lurker on the SOTD threads, but this is my first time contributing.
My SOTD is Dior Dune. Not a very green scent. I think the ambery-pink color of the juice matches the fragrance perfectly. It puts me in mind of a desert sunset. Or, at least what this lifelong Midwesterner imagines a desert sunset to be 🙂
Welcome Holyneroli! 🙂
Hello, holyneroli!
Welcome!
Great screen name!
Hello! You smell great! Dune is a long-time favorite of mine.
I love Dune and I also think the bottle color suits it well. And welcome ????
As does the bottle shape, I think.
Welcome, holyneroli! Love the SN.
I wore Dune yesterday, and I agree on the color. 🙂
Hello! (Your screen name is awesome!) As a desert dweller, I can confirm that our sunsets are the color of Dune, sometimes (often even brighter and more intense).????
That sounds absolutely lovely. Thank you for the confirmation 🙂
Yesterday was so busy I didn’t put on perfume until 7 or 8 pm. Today I’m going greenish in vintage Diorella.
Gorgeous!
You smell great!
Guerlain Vetiver Pour Elle for me today. Off for my annual hair-chop and highlight this afternoon. Yeah, I’m lazy.
aka Carmen Le Bolshoi. 😉 I do like that one too. I got a decant from STC I think. Sadly, VPE is discontinued and the CLB price for the same thing is ridiculous.
I had a hair chop today, too!
Cat paws at 6 am! My only green scent is Cabotine EDT with a follow-up spritz of the EDP. I enjoy it mainly for the memories, and I wear it probably once or twice a year.
hee hee, the cats of NST are always up to something. 🙂
I’d say! He’s roughly 17 years old and is the sweetest. His name is Flopper, my screen name ????
I am not wearing a green scent today, I was in a mood for jasmine today, I am wearing Korres jasmine body lotion layered with Songes body oil., smells tropical and nice.
Mmmmm. Nice!
I bet you smell amazing!
Nice combo!
I’m in Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate, which starts to manifest hints of sulfur a la grapefruit on me. Grapefruit is not listed as a note, so I am baffled. And odder still, I was so perplex by this I’m now doing a wrist to wrist comparison with my Pamplemousse Rhubarb by L’Occitane… I do not get that sulfuric note with the O’ccitane… hmmmm… I will enjoy draining this decant but I prefer my O’ccitane. I suspect they are equally fleeting. . .
Enabler Alert: If you are someone who loves Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate, when I was looking up the notes on this one I saw that Saks is offering the .5 oz (15 ml) travel spray for $31, and when I clicked on the link a 10% off coupon popped up for the purchase if you sign up for their emails (and then unsubscribe!)
Not sure if you read yesterday but thanks for the rec to try the new BR scents…I rather liked them all but my favorite was Vintage Green 78 followed by the leather one and then White….it was kind of funny that my most favorite to least favorite followed the sequence of time-LOL!
and I have to say that the prices were amazing and they have travel sizes!
I missed NST yesterday! I have yet to test the oud one, but am looking forward to it. I’m not a huge fan of wearing fig scents (although I LOVE the smell of fresh figs), but that said I think the BR Vintage Green is a pretty great frag. It may turn out to be the star the series.
It’s going to be super warm here today, almost 90, so I am in Eau de Guerlain. Love it in hot weather, just wished it lasted longer. I should have brought it with me to spritz throughout the day.
ooooh, love Eau de Guerlain! It’s great (for an hour or two, lol).
Tuesday!
1) Am in Chanel Eau Premiere, and in my hair a bit of homemade neroli/jasmine oil as a hair dress.
2) Last night-picked up my paint supplies- Farrow & Ball Pink Ground paint, primer, brushes, tape, drop cloths. And THEN- because that was not enough money spent, I got drapes and rods and screws for the patio glass doors.
Oy vey!
House ownership= $$$$
oy vey is right!!!
Oh yes! $$$$$
But it is nice to commit to wall color that is not basic builder’s white or beige!
Ha! this is true! you can make it your own…a beautiful sanctuary 🙂
You smell lovely today and good luck with your project.
Thank you! 🙂
As a lazy apartment dweller, I wish someone with good taste and far more energy than myself would sneak in and paint my bedroom with the appropriate Farrow and Ball! I get worn out even looking at the color catalogue and attempting to decide, and their catalogue is probably the briefest.
Farrow & Ball catalogue is REFRESHINGLY brief. Some of the other wonderful paint companies have what looks like college course catalogues! If you are anywhere near a F&B store, take the time to drop in. They will discuss light and orientation of windows in the room to be painted. The store that I am ordering the paint from did this.
And no joke- painting your place- even a room- is work, and there is a reason why there are professional painters!
I am in le Temps d’une Fête and received a compliment about it, something that rarely happens in the Lowlands. Although she is greenish, she is to my nose not the pantone green of this year, but more the yellow of Pantone 14-0850.
Ostara for me today. Although it is daffodil, I get a lot of wet greenery in it.
Love, love, love Ostara!
You smell wonderful 🙂
Theo Fennel Scent. It starts out a little like saffron troublant but goes all over the place later.
Reeking Coromandel EDT today…
A preschool teacher I normally don’t see at drop off said, “Something smells good…” when I entered the room.
She looked at me and came very close…”You…you smell good…”
Just another woman leaning in… 😉
That’s one I’ve gotten compliments on as well 😀
It’s been a rough few days with my dad being home and everyone is at each other’s throats. Wearing no 19 for strength today.
Oh boy????
Sorry 🙁
*hugs*
Serenity now! No.19 will give you strength!
Sending you calming, strong thoughts <3
I’m wearing En Passant today. The sun is peeking out a tiny bit and I have to run errands before the rain comes back. I might also try to swim some laps in the community pool.
Yum, I have not worn En Passant enough this year.
Today I’m wearing ‘Amber Absolute’ by Tom Ford. Still amazed that this one and ‘Sahara Noir’ both have been discontinued. So annoying! 😉
I just ordered a decant of Amber Absolute! Discontinued=money saved!
Amber Absolute came back into production about 2 years ago!
True, but they have already discontinued the re-release.
SOTD = commando. I am feeling under the weather today. Not sure if it is allergies acting up, or if I ended up getting my husband’s cold after all. Bleah.
Hope you feel better soon!
Take care!
Oh boy, feel better soon!
Yuck. Hope you feel better soon!
Rose Infernale on day two of my first-ever industry job (vs academia)! Heartbreakingly, I’ll be working in clean rooms a lot, and perfumes (and cosmetics) are not permitted in clean rooms. This will put a crimp in my perfume usage.
Bummer. I’m sure you’ll come up with some kind of workaround…
Field notes from Paris by Ineke. Perfect for the springtime, although a bit too much coriander in the opening.
But the drydown is gorgeous.
Yes, it is. And I find it unisex.
It’s cold and pouring in Seattle today and I was an hour late to work because there were multiple collisions on the highway. When I got up I thought I’d wear Nirvana Bourbon for something smoky-sweet and comforting, but then I raged at the fact that it’s 45 degrees in May and sprayed on Memo Marfa, which I’ve been saving for summer.
Sadly it’s not doing so well in the cooler weather. When I tested this (on a much warmer day!) it was this beautiful, round, plush, rich orange blossom and tuberose. I’m not getting any of that today and I guess I should have stuck with Nirvana Bourbon and continued to save Marfa for a warmer day. Sigh.
Next week, they say – mid/high 70s Monday & Tuesday. *fingers crossed*
Hello and good morning. NST. What a night! Dakkie yodelled, some people somewhere partied, the wind roared and the rain made coming-down-in-solid-walls noises. I’m tired and grumpy, cross with Dakkie and annoyed that I was awake while the dear man slept peacefully, and I’m absolutely, UTTERLY fed up with living in the city. People keep saying to me anxiously that I will miss Auckland. I will not. I am longing for life in the heartlands. There now. Rant over. (Draws deep breath and smiles a slightly wavering and unconvincing smile).
So, a perfume for this putrid weather? It can’t be green; it just can’t. Ummmm, and yes, my hand has found its way to Amber Narguile. That warm apple-tobacco-spice-immortelle combination is perfect for me for today. It’s managing to soothe and uplift at the same time. Lovely stuff!
I tried Tom Ford Vert de Fleur yesterday, and was given a small sample. I like it very much, but I’m not sure I like it to the tune of $376 for 50mls! “Goodness me,” said I to the charming young man at the counter, “what a lot of pennies that is.” He then told me that it was more expensive than some brands because it was made totally from natural oils, sourced at the place of origin….I didn’t snort derisively, because that would have been rude, but my face must have registered my extreme doubt, because he suddenly became much less grand and much more helpful.
Be well, all. I love your green choices.
Did he at any point mention noble ingredients?
Good lord. That kind of pricing is downright obscene. Natural oils? whatever
Ambre Narguile is such a great fall scent. And while pricey, not offensively so!
Huh!
$376 NZ DOLLARS converts to $258.95 USA DOLLARS today.
I purchased Vert des Bois on Sunday and $225 plus $13.50tax for a total of $238.50 USA DOLLARS.
At Nordstrom, a fancy-schmancy department store.
Your store was overpriced.
Cheers!
And enjoy your USA trip !!
In Gemany a 50 ml ‘Vert des Bois’ costs 200€ which is about 220$ – I’m considering getting ‘Vert d’Encens’ myself.
I received a 4ml sample of Vert d’Encens, it is lovely also, HerrKirsch.
I always love reading your posts, even though they are frustrated more often than not, especially of late. You record your unhappiness beautifully.
I esp. love “sourced at the place of origin” — that’s splendid.
SOTD and greenery-yallery #2 has been Pierre Guillaume “Jardins de Kerylos”.
Notes: fig leaf, herbal notes and sycamore.
A nice creamy fig leaf perfume with reasonable longevity. I’ve spent the day in spreadsheets and enjoyed the occasional waft from this one. And now it’s beer o’ clock. :^)
Beer O’Clock!
Enjoy!
I think I will marinate some watermelon in Absolut for a refreshing dessert.
Cheers! 😉
Enjoy dessert. Heck, send it all my way and enjoy something else! ;^)
I will gladly take some too 🙂
The more, the merrier !!! 😉
Cuir d’Ange is my SOTD. Nothing green about this to me, except maybe that it smells like money ????
Ha! The first time I sniffed a sample vial of Cuir d’Ange I thought it smelled like the inside of an expensive handbag. You smell great.
Tiniest spritz of the new Jimmy Choo L’eau, from sample scored over the weekend.
Musky berries. Nice, if I liked berry-heavy scents but I don’t.
I wore Le Jardin de Monsieur Li from Hermes today
oh, Monsieur Li.
Heavenly.
Not even green-adjacent in SSS Wood Violet. Crisp, dry, woods. I don’t get much in the way of violet, but the plum weaves in and out. I’ve discovered plum isn’t one of my favorite notes, and if it weren’t there, I might need a large decant of this. Instead, I think I need to try the other woods in the SSS lineup.
Tested her Velvet Rose last night, and boy is that gorgeous. I’d venture to guess that if you are a fan of the Rosine rose accord, SSS Velvet Rose might be a winner for you.
I HIGHLY recommend Champagne du Bois as well as Winter Woods if you are looking for wood notes in SSS.
I second them both! They are spectacular 🙂 Also quite strong/heavy, though.
SOTD is Hermès Eau d’Orange Verte, with a top-up of O de Lancôme. Crisp green on an unseasonably cool day which would be perfect if not for gusting winds.
Perfect mix.
Sliding into (metaphorical) home plate with a real splash of 4711. Today was a good day to clear the scent palate.
Waft on with your fragrant selves, NST.
p.s. I think the kitties of NST are out of control. Meow!
4711…oh goodness does that transport me back in time!!!!
you smell delicious and refreshing….as always 🙂
Gosh, it’s been forever since I smelled 4711. We’re in the same class of scents today–waft on!
SOTD: tried for the first time today: PK Perfumes “TNT – Tama N Tuberose” (http://pkperfumes.com/shop/tnt-tama-n-tuberose/). Wow! One spray inside my elbow has lasted for ten hours. It’s a gorgeous tuberose soliflore. Not something I would wear every day, as it’s one of those intoxicating white floral powerhouses, but it smells very natural. I wore it to my office today without any issues, but it would have been overwhelming indoors if I had sprayed more than once. This has amazing sillage and would smell wonderful on someone strolling through, say, Barcelona, letting it waft down the street!
That sounds fantastic!
SOTD = PdE Tabac Tabou 2015
Greenish juice, green perfume. I will let Christos tell you all about it:
https://memoryofscent.com/2016/04/15/parfum-dempire-tabac-tabou-extrait-the-right-to-spring/
In this episode of in and around New York and What is wrong with this Picture:
– sign at Madison Square Garden: Countdown to Christmas advertising some kind of show. This is just wrong, people! For goodness sake, it is only May 16th! Now if the sign said Countdown to HALF Christmas, I would.be all over it because it is a mere 40 days away, Half-Christmas, a perfect gift-receiving holiday!
– fellow passengers on the train commuting in to NYC: a couple who looked like they were in their thirties but acting like they are immature 5 year olds. First, they took 3 minutes to decide where to sit because there were no free two-seaters and they were arguing over who should sit in the middle seat of a three-seater or who gets to sit on the aisle seat of a three-seater while the other one sits on the aisle seat in a two seater (they would end up sitting in the same row separated by a narrow aisle. They finally decided to take two aisle seats one behind the other because this was their only option at this point. Did we get relief? Of course not — they were still arguing as to what should have bappened. When the train reached a major station, a two-seater opened up and they quickly swooped in. Did we get relief? No! The female half started WHINING about getting to their destination too early (~ 1 hour – what? she can’t kill time doing a little shopping). We finally arrived at NY Penn Station and she kept up with the whining. The guy finally stalked off. If they’re a married couple, I would bet my entire perfume collection that they are divorce court-bound. If they are not married, they ahould just erase each other from memory – they are.BAD NEWS for each other!
Christmas?!?! And ‘adult’ babies. FFS. And it’s only Tuesday. What will the rest of the week bring? ????
Very late as usual. I love that color of green! SOTD was vintage Lauren, which I have loved since college. It has a cool, green feel to me. Hopefully Friday will wear VCA Muguet Blanc (a very tiny spray since my office is supposed to be scent-free now).
