Posted by Robin on 28 February 2017 15 Comments

Comme des Garçons

Comme des Garçons will launch the Olfactory Library in May, with reissues of 10 fragrances from the brand's back catalog — Comme des Garçons Eau de Cologne; Series 1: Leaves, Calamus, Series 1: Leaves, Lily; Series 2: Red, Palisander; Series 2: Red, Sequoia; Series 6: Synthetic, Garage; Series 6: Synthetic, Soda; Series 6: Synthetic, Tar; Series 7: Sweet, Nomad Tea and Series 7: Sweet, Sticky Cake.

Hopefully more to come? I will update with sizes and prices when I can.

(via highsnobiety, hat tip to Bear!)

Update: The Olfactory Library fragrances are $95 each for 50 ml.

And I will be keeping an eye out for the size and price of Sequoia & Palisander. And hope they will bring back Tea eventually!

AHA — that’s why I ate twice as much chocolate as usual just now! Hope you enjoyed the Bark Thins Coconut Almond ;-)

Thank you for the update, Robin. I just called CdG and she confirmed May as the arrival date for the Chelsea store, calling me the day that the shipment arrives and setting aside my Sequoia and Synthetic Tar so I can run over and pick them up. So excited!!! I really miss those two gems especially.

Oh good for you! Hey, did you find out the sizes?? I am guessing 50 or 100 ml but of course hoping for smaller.

Putting it out to the universe that I would like to try wood coffee, maybe it’ll be re-released in the next batch ;-) (but, yes, also nomad tea)

Yesssssss! Nomad tea and Sticky cake! This time I will just buy them. These scents have been so hard to find, I have never seen them at any outlet or online auction etc. And I have been looking regularly. Wohoo!

Hi Robin, CdG called me last Friday and the entire library collection arrived to the store earlier than expected. I picked up my bottle of Sequoia and it smells exactly the same. Regrettably, the reissue now comes in the 1.7 ounce bottle at the 3.4 ounce price. I also smelled Tar again and the love has sadly gone away, it smells somehow different to me than I seem to remember so I passed on that one. Funny enough, the saleslady at CdG remembered me from back in the day. It’s been awhile since I have ventured over there (you know, that long 7 block sojourn from my office to CdG store, haha).

Yes — included them in the online shopping post the other day! Did not see any sizes, though, so huge thanks.

I envy your Sequoia, wear it in good health!
