Carolina Herrera has launched Gold Incense, the first fragrance in a new Eastern Treasures collection in the Herrera Confidential range.
Gold Incense, the latest addition to Herrera Confidential, fuses power and beauty in the first fragrance of its newest signature collection, Eastern Treasures.
Eastern Treasures celebrates Arabian alchemy, its tradition, and culture with a repertoire of fragrances that are synonymous with ancient heritage as well as fine luxury.
With Gold Incense, the first fragrance of the collection, Carolina Herrera de Baez, Creative Director of Carolina Herrera Fragrances, evokes the memory of her mother on a perfume that reflects Carolina Herrera’s admiration for Eastern cultures and their understanding of perfume as part of a timeless elegance.
Gold Incense can be worn by itself or in combination with the oils of Herrera Confidential, matching perfectly with the Pure Oil of Rose and the Pure Oil of Musk.
Gold Incense was developed by perfumer Pierre-Constantin Guéros. Notes for the unisex oriental include bergamot, cinnamon, marigold, incense, Atlas cedar, labdanum, sandalwood and vanilla caviar.
Carolina Herrera Gold Incense is available now at El Corte Inglés in Spain, €250 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

This sounds rather nice, although I’m not sure I really get what “vanilla caviar” is meant to be other than just vanilla.
I think it is the ripe seeds scraped from the pods. I have seen it on spice and baking websites.
Right. So in perfume terms, it is just vanilla 😉
Ha! Yep.
Just for fun, when I went home for lunch, I smelled some Neilson-Massey Madagascar vanilla paste along side some kombu seaweed (I didn’t have any caviar in the house). It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t good either.
Ha, that’s taking one for the team!
