I love those bottles. Haven’t sampled any of this line, tho? Anyone have any preferences? This one sounds like it might smell like furniture polish, or something a little medicinal, but I would certainly sniff it if I have the chance. Do they have these at Sephora? I might get over there one of these days.

I agree; that bottle looks fabulous, and I would love to love the juice.

Hi, Koyel, how is the escape from graduate school coming along?

Hello, Meredifay! Thanks for asking! I have nearly achieved escape 🙂 I defend my thesis on 2 Feb, so I’m currently busily putting together a talk and studying every related paper possible in order to be able to answer the horrifying questions they will throw at me. Then after my defense, I’ll just have to make any thesis modifications they suggest (hopefully minor…), finish up a publication, and then leave!!!!! I’ve already gotten my one-way ticket to America for 28 Feb 🙂 Wish me luck!

I love the bottles, too, and had high hopes that the juice would match the exterior aesthetic. I got a sample of one of them from sephora (no idea which) and it was an utterly hideous fruity floral that went straight into the trash. This wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing experience did not inspire me to try any others, needless to say. However, I had a similar experience with the Derek Lam line and actually found one that’s quite nice, so who knows…

A velvety cypress perfume sounds lovely, but something tells me it may fall very short of expectations being made by D&G.

D&G The One actually smells good to me and garners me compliments when I wear it. The others of the line that I have sniffed do leave me meh, but I keep hoping…I love those bottles with their pretty colors cals.

The One is the only D&G I like. I’ve smelled several others and also thought they were very meh – usually weak and too clean musky for my taste. The bottle is cute, but I have a feeling the juice is in the same weak and clean category.

The original D & G that came out in the early 2000s with the marigold note was lovely…it had a red cap and came in a deep red velvet box…wish they would bring that one back 🙁

If only this color can be packaged in the Hermes Eau de Merveilles bottles…

I love their Light Blue and they will release this summer an eau de parfum version, which is gorgeous: Light Blue Eau Intense.
