Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 11 January 2017 16 Comments

Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme

Gucci will launch Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme, a new flanker to 2011's Gucci Guilty Pour Homme.

Born out of a special collaboration between creative director Alessandro Michele and master perfumer Alberto Morillas. Created using a particular blend with a structure that remains unchanged from the first time it is applied to the skin. Leather accord and goldenwood are custom-mixed with natural extract of the Nootka Cypress, selected especially for Gucci Guilty Absolute. The resulting scent features ultra-dry woody notes. The fragrance’s composition is intensified with three forms of patchouli oils and earthy vetiver.

Gucci Guilty Absolute is available now for pre-order at Gucci, in 50, 90 and 150 ml Eau de Parfum.

    Haven’t liked any of Guilty’s incarnations. I believe it’s time I got a surprise.

One can hope! I like the bottle much better than the original.

It does look better. The color of the juice helps, too.

The colour of this looks very similar to Gucci Pour Homme, doesn’t it? That’s well overdue a rerelease 🙁

This one could be interesting. I liked Envy for men until it gave a rash and Rush for men was one I used up several bottles of. Miss that one.
Funny how they pointed out the special relationship between the designer and the perfumer. That means there were never a relationship before?
And ‘…structure that remains the same…’ means linear, right.

So far as I know it is Morillas’ first scent for Gucci, and Michele has not been creative director for long also.

Finally Gucci is under a decent creative direction. Bye Frida Gianini, won’t mess your banal and boring scents for Gucci. This one sounds interesting, i just wonder why they are launching as a flanker and not as a new fragrance.

Looks like they could have a winner on their hands.

This is all due to the sale of the P&G designer fragrance portfolio to Coty.
Alberto Morillas was not the nose behind any of the Gucci Guilty Pour Homme of the past P&G legacy products.
So Coty is plugging in a perfumer now and emphasizing a relationship with the Gucci designer in order to create an aspirational buzz.

I am terrible and have not been to the mall in ages. Hopefully soon, but have to finish my taxes first! I did hear it was good, and do mean to try it when I can. What did YOU think?

Sending a spritz of Love & LUCK your way with those taxes! ^_^

As for Absolute, it’s loud and proud! I’m sure it’s been done time and time again, it’s rather dry, heavs on the pencil shavings and leather, but I find it mighty nice for a Guilty, or even a Gucci for that matter! Haha! It just smells like heat to me, and I like that! But, it’s a bit too warm to be rocking it in my neck of the woods at the moment. #blazin

Ps, my dad happily wears/rocks the OG Guilty, and would loathe how strong the Absolute is! My Pops is a man who used to rock Obsession back in the day. Me and him have pretty much switched fragrance personalities! I grew up wearing Curve and Paris Hilton for Men, now I want the Absolute, and wear M7, The One, and his vintage Obsession. He now rocks the Guilty, Acqua Di Gio, and Nautica. Haha! ^_^

And I can’t compare it to the original Gucci Homme. I’ve heard such nice things about it, but can’t say I remember what it smells like! I do remember the one time I smelled it when I was like 16 though! I spent a summer with my dad on base, and at their little NEX/department store, I pretty much went back everyday and smelled everything they had by the time my vaca was over. With one big whiff, it scared the heck outta me, and I didn’t even give it the time of day. I moved on to the girly celeb section and sprayed myself with some sweetness I’m sure! Lol! I bought a bottle of Glow After Dark that summer! Lol! #forshame but #memories #beautifulmemories ^_^

Oh, I am sorry to tell you that you made the wrong choice between Gucci Pour Homme and Glow After Dark, LOL…

Unless you’re talking about Gucci Pour Homme II? In which case, it’s a toss up.

That is so funny that you and your dad have switched tastes!

My current plan: taxes this weekend, mall the next. We’ll see if I manage it.

Lol! It was too strong for my wee little/novice nose at the time! And hey now, I still rock that bottle of GaD! Haha! Amazed it hasn’t spoiled yet! Props for that I say! *_*

And LOL! It was the OG w/ the black cap and amber juice. Double LOL that I got my brother his first bottle of Gucci Homme II when it came out, and it’s been his all-time favorite since! ^_^

G-bless ya! On the taxes and the mall! >_<

Dont’t you think it has some notes similar with the scent of Terre d’Hermes?
