Well, the 12 yr old loves watermelon…..LOL! We’ll give it a sniff when we pass by a tester…..
My oldest just mentioned that her (old) bottle of Princess that her grandma gave her has turned, and has gone the way of bad…..
Speaking of scents that have gone bad, what do you guys do with your empty/gone bad bottles? Do you recycle them? Just trash ’em? Keep the empties if the bottles are pretty?
I generally trash them, but for whatever reason it takes me a long time — I give them a few months to turn good again 🙂
If it has sentimental attachment, I keep them. I’ve been fortunate though, I’ve only had two or so turn.
I collect antique medicine bottles (I’m a pharmacist), so I have a small lighted curio that I keep them in…..So if I have an empty perfume bottle that is extra pretty, I’ll just display in there. Someday, in a galaxy far far way, it will be an antique! 🙂
I set them aside for a second opinion/fresh nose sniff and then if both opinions are “turned” I toss them.
If it was a gift from my husband I keep the empty bottle, so far I haven’t emptied none of them since I collect and have quite a lot of perfumes. If the bottle is pretty and hard to find I keep it, also just to be able to smell the nozzle and remember what it smelled like.
If it doesn’t have any sentimental value I have thrown some bottles in the trash but lately i thought maybe they cuuld be recycled as glass containers.
