L’Occitane au Bresil Abraco ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 23 November 2016 6 Comments

L'Occitane Abraço

L’Occitane has launched Abraço (Hug), a new woody floral fragrance for women in the brand's L’Occitane au Brésil range (made in Brazil and celebrating Brazilian biodiversity).

Abraço features notes of fruits, flowers, vanilla, milk and musk, plus extracts representing regions of Brazil (and prior fragrances in the line) including Mandacaru, Bromélia, Vitória Régia, Araucária and Aguapé.

L'Occitane Abraço is available in 75 ml Cologne and in matching body products.

Do you find the products of this line easily outside Brazil? Here they are kind of easy to find in the shopping malls of the capital cities.

To my knowledge they have only released a few of the scents in other markets (and sorry but at the moment, cannot remember, I know they went to the EU but not sure if they went to the US) — and since those were not rapidly followed by others, I wonder if they did not do well? Or possibly they will only introduce the “greatest hits” in other markets.

Here they seem to be doing well since the line doesn’t stop to grow. In fact, Loccitane seems to be everywhere now here in Brazil – it had a more prestigious distribution in the past

That’s great, it was a good idea. Actually I think they could do the same thing in the US (use indigenous notes instead of making everything about Provence) and have a hit. But not likely that will happen :-)

Exactly! But Brazil is an expanding market and we are a shrinking market.
