Armand Basi In Me ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 6 October 2016 16 Comments

Armand Basi In Me

Spanish designer Armand Basi has launched In Me, a new floral chypre fragrance for women. In Me was was inspired by Barcelona and the "organic architecture" of Antoni Gaudí.

ARMAND BASI IN ME, the new fragrance, is based on the internal balance of the urban woman who appreciates everything that life in the city has to offer her but who needs to connect with nature to achieve strength and personal harmony. When she achieves that balance, she also gains the energy to be herself, make all her dreams reality and fulfil herself as a woman.

[...] In charge of designing the bottle was one of the leading specialists in Gaudí’s work and someone who faithfully continues his style, the architect Jordi Bonet, who from 1987 to 2012 was the director of works of the Sagrada Família, the cathedral designed by Gaudí and still under construction.

In Me was developed by perfumer Nathalie Lorson. The notes include pink grapefruit, raspberry, ginger, pink pepper, jasmine, jasmine tea, orange blossom, rose, magnolia, iris, patchouli, sandalwood and cashmere wood.

Armand Basi In Me is available in 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum.

Well, at least the bottle shape suggests they used a condom. Sorry, I just couldn’t help it.

They really did ask for it. Wish they’d given it a name worthy of the bottle.

Just when you think there’s nothing new in the world of perfume bottles…. That thing is stunning. I’ve never seen anything like it. I hope it looks as good in real life as it does in the photos.

It’s a fantastic bottle, and love that they got Jordi Bonet to design it. The juice doesn’t really sound thrilling, but hey. Would like to have the bottle.

Yes, in a splash so we can put in our own juice! ????

Yeah…the shape of the bottles, along with the color and all that copy about a woman being fulfilled, makes me somewhat uncomfortable. Yech.

And the name! Obviously the name brought this on.

It is not a great name.

Fantastic bottle design! Too bad the name is so dumb. It defies all logic. I don’t think they designed the bottle with the younger set in mind? The notes don’t sound promising either. It’s like they couldn’t make up their mind which demographic they were going after.

As soon as I saw the bottle, before reading the article, I thought ‘Gaudi’ so I’d say the designer did a great job! What most reminds me of Barcelona is orange blossoms in bloom so at least it’s in the mix. Doesn’t sound like my kind of scent but I’d try it given the chance.
