Marc Jacobs has launched Divine Decadence, a new flanker to 2015's Decadence.
Sparkling expression of glamour and luxury, Divine Decadence gives indulgence a touch of brightness. Decadence is a lifestyle, a way of living, transcending age and style. Addictive, cant get enough. "A girl chooses to be decadent, she is not just decadent."
[...] A new sparkling champagne doused intrepretation [sic] of the original…just as decadent but expressed in a more effervescent, floral way. A floral, woody fragrance.
The notes include champagne extract, orange blossom, bergamot, gardenia, hydrangea, honeysuckle, saffron, vanilla and amber.
Marc Jacobs Divine Decadence is available now for pre-order at Bloomingdales, in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Correct spelling is decadent. Not really
But snark aside, I have a tester of the original (sans the fugly cap) and enjoy wearing it very much. 🙂
I did not adore the original. This one sounds like I might like it better? But hard to say if it is worth a trip to the mall to find out — possibly not in summer, at any rate.
The original sounded so good, but really didn’t work on me. This one sounds really pretty. Will try to seek it out when it gets in more humble stores than Bloomingdale’s.
And I’m sure it will eventually.
I’ve seen bottles of the first one in Marshalls….hold tight, this one will join it soon enough.
Tassels are the new oud – they are everywhere: perfume bottles. sandals, keychains, purse clips. Remember the days when tassels were on graduation caps, costumes (you know what I mean) and curtains?
It just occurred to the phrase “divine decadence” comes from the movie Cabaret– it’s what Sally Bowles tells Brian when he raises his eyebrows at her green-painted fingernails. Which are the same green as the snakeskin topper on the above perfume bottle.
This is exactly the kind of knowledge I’m glad you share. Cultured librarians are the best. In fairness I expect all good librarians are cultured , however you might define that.
Ha! Yes. The queen of hyperbole. Love that movie.
What I really want to know is where I can get my hands on that “champagne extract.” It would so convenient. 😉
